Frank is prompt, professional and quite knowledgeable. His price for service saved me about 140 dollars compared to a traditional shop. Frank came to my home, prepared with parts, and completed maintenance fairly quite. He was also extremely understanding after an emergency caused me to be delayed from our meeting time and harassment from a neighbor directed toward him. Highly recommend Frank's Auto works. I had no idea where to take my car on such short notice, but I called them and they told me to bring it in so they could take a look. The next morning Scott called me and explained what needed to be done. I gave them the okay, and my car was ready just a few hours later. I also looked around and got a few quotes from other shops just to see if the price was fair, and Williams Automotive ended up being the best price by far. They also let me know my transmission fluid was really dark, which honestly wasn't surprising since I had never changed it. I came back for that service and an oil change, and once again everything was done quickly and for a really good price. Everyone I've dealt with there has been friendly and helpful. The lady in the office is also super nice, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, I'm really happy with the service, price, turnaround time, and customer service. I usually take my cars to bigger chain shops, but after coming here, I'd much rather keep bringing them to Williams Automotive.

I dropped off the vehicle on a Friday. Let him know that I wasn't in any rush to get the vehicle back. He told me he'd take a look at the vehicle on Monday. No problem. Tuesday rolls around nothing... I think maybe he's just been busy. Wednesday afternoon rolls around still haven't heard anything... So I call. He calls me and lets me know. He's diagnosed the issue with my vehicle and explained to me how difficult he felt it was. And sent me the cost of his suggested repairs. I reviewed one of the parts that was the main issue that needed to be replaced. It involve disconnecting one cable and two screws at the top of the back of the engine bay. The part was $70 retail... His cost for the repair $400. I let them know that I'd come and pick up the vehicle... I come and pick it up and he advises me that there's a $240 diagnosis fee because of all the "time" that he spent diagnosing the issue. I called out to him that at no point had we discussed this or what his hourly rate was to diagnose the issue nor had we signed any sort of estimate for the amount of time that he was initially going to take to diagnose the issue. I didn't expect him to diagnose the issue for free however $240 for diagnosing an issue with a vehicle when he had not communicated at any point that he needed any additional time to diagnose is where I felt he was less than transparent. It was obvious that he was upset that I wasn't gonna pay $400 to replace a $70 part (I'm being very generous there)... That I purchased (genuine OEM ) for NAPA for $45 and replaced in literally less than five minutes... I called out to Luis that not only have I've been a prior customer. I've sent my mother-in-law her boyfriend as well as my father there and for him to now treat me in this way and to throw a $240 diagnosis fee on me completely uncommunicated when there is no agreement on how much time was to be spent or initially invested in diagnosing. The issue was unfair. Additionally, the part that ended up needing to be replaced was easily identified with the free OBD port reader from AutoZone. So you tell me, is that worth $240? Should a mechanic let a customer know in advance what the estimate estimated diagnosis time should be and what the cost per hour is? If additional time is needed to diagnose your issue, would you expect the mechanic to call and let you know? On top of that, the communication has never been good. I have to call. I have to follow up. I have to leave messages. You'll get a response 24 to 48 hours later. As a customer, I just expect better. The poor communication paired with uncommunicated pricing is not something I'm going to support with my hard earned money. If you like delays and your wallet likes surprise charges, maybe this is the mechanic for you.

At the desk, Kristy was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. My service was complete in almost half the initially quoted time, and for a price that beat everyone else in Camarillo. For such a reasonable cost, I surely expected there to be some drawbacks but the team at Adolfo Auto Care genuinely went the extra mile to help me out with some mild extra favors during my service, they were super friendly, did great work and came in at a super reasonable price.
