This hotel is super cute. Super clean. The staff is lovely. The area is charming. The prices were fantastic - very affordable. My only question - how was it possible that it wasn't sold out for Valentine's Day? Portland disappointed me. Camas charmed me. If I'm ever in the area I will definitely stay here again.

Feels like a mcminnamins but more personal and costs much less! They don't have to give you all the amenities they provide with this hotel but they do anyway. The staff was always friendly and helpful at all times I've seen them. I felt like I was coming home and felt warm, safe, and welcomed as soon as I stepped through the front door. The bed was very comfortable and the availability of a shared kitchen area was much appreciated. Such a cute hotel with all the comforts one requires at a reasonable price right in the middle of a quaint small town. Who could ask for more? Fun tip: read the book of history about the hotel in the lobby. It's a good read and nicely put together.

Valentine's Day package was not as described and ruined my Valentine's Day surprise by spilling the beans to my wife. Nice little place though. I would have given a better rating but I called and asked for the $55 Valentines. Special, which was supposed to be a Dozen roses, a box of SWISS chocolates, champagne and two glasses... what I got was 10 tulips, some "mixed" chocolates a bottle of champagne ( The cheap kind) and Two glasses. The guy at the front desk asked my wife about the package even though I told them to keep it a secret when I ordered it, so that was the start . Then I got to the room and saw the Tulips ... it pretty much ruined my stay from there, luckily my Wife told me not to worry about it until the next day, so we made the most of it. When I told the guy about everything the next day he said because of the snow , that they couldn't get Roses, although my wife and I walked to the local Safeway about three blocks away, where there were tons of roses. As for the Swiss chocolates, he seemed surprised that the website said that . He said that he would take $20 off for the Roses, but wanted the Tulips and Vase back. At that point I was done and just agreed. I can't really give the Hotel fair judgment at this point because things didn't go as planned and I saw it in a bad light from the start of my stay.

How quaint!

Here in Washington State to visit my daughter who will be moving back to Texas this month! My daughter found this quaint bed and breakfast and hosted a wedding shower in their atrium just last weekend. They rent the space out when not used for the breakfast which is complementary with our stay. The lobby is tiny but inviting and the lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful; she assisted us with our bags. The hotel has a narrow staircase that leads up to the second and third floors; so I would say it is not handicap friendly...there is no elevator. Our room had a king bed, loved the wardrobe which housed the TV, a small space for hanging clothes and a Keurig with two coffee choices or tea. It's nice to have a real cup and not a plastic one. More about the decor; the bathroom floor had a unique tiled design which gave the bathroom a bit of character. I loved not having to share a bathroom European style ! Yes , if in the area again I would stay here again ! We were able to leave our bags at the front desk, while we shopped!

Mold or lead paint?

There is mold on one of the rooms. I have pictures there was a sign before at the bathroom if it is occupied and now it's gone, there is a cheaper hotel with bathrooms that you can rent.

The only bummer to this cozy spot is the communal bathrooms! I believe there are 2 to a wing. Other than that it is a GEM!

Our room was a nice size - the two queen beds we booked, along with a desk area, a large armchair, and a mini kitchen that had a full-sized fridge and freezer. The room seemed relatively clean, but we didn't have any experience with ongoing housekeeping because they came every 7 days unless requested. The front desk was great about getting refills on soap or whatever else we needed in the meantime, and they were willing to give us a later checkout time without any issues. My least favorite part of the room was the shower, which didn't get quite hot enough for my preference, but at least the water was a constant temperature and pressure. We would stay here again.

The location is excellent: just 15 minutes from the Portland airport, near highways for travel, and minutes away from 164th street which is major road with many shopping centers and places to eat. We could not have done better in terms of location. The entire area is walkable which is really nice. Reasons for 3 stars: We arrived at the time I had indicated we would check in and our room was not ready. Not a huge deal, as we went for lunch and then returned. There is a $10 a day parking fee but it was waived because our room was not ready as expected. So that's a wash. Springhill is not a luxury hotel and you understand it is mostly functional going into the process. But that means it should be functional. Several of the electrical outlets at the work station did not work. The toilet seat does not stay up which is a real inconvenience for me. We were told we were getting a nice corner room but it was not a corner room at lall. The bed is ok but the pillows are not good at all. They are the kind that induce neck pain in the morning. Overall, I am satisfied with our decision to stay here but not blown away. I can't really tell that the hotel has been renovated. The ambience is ok but nothing earth shattering. Would I stay again? Probably. The location is great, the price is great, and there is free breakfast. So far, the positives outweigh the negatives. Update after one day: I am upping the rating to 4. Why? The breakfast is really good. Good quality food and a nice variety. Second, they fixed the toilet seat problem very quickly.

I report I see bugs in the room I'm checked into that were located by the bed on the wall. I was then moved to another room where the refrigerator didn't work and the tub and bathroom was absolutely disgusting. I chatted with house keeping the next morning and they said they are aware that the patch work in that tub looked nasty and they will have it cleaned again. There was rust stains all over it I mean a total update needed on that bathroom before folks should be allowed to stay in it. I would never recommend staying here! The staff has no pride in the sanitary conditions of the rooms and to be so rude as a manager after a guest had to be inconvenienced and moved because of bugs was down right crazy! I asked to speak to the GM about this issue and Monique said the GM is aware of the issue and will not speak to me.

First let me say this hotel felt clean like everywhere I looked was clean I often saw the staff cleaning random things throughout my stay with my room being perfect with this! One thing I must start off with was how nice the older lady Jery was in their dinning room for breakfast was she was super friendly and helped us each morning with breakfast, but apparently it seemed like I was one of the only ones being nice to her as on two different mornings I witnessed people being just soo rude to her for no reason with one of them being this idiot lady who couldn't see the big sign on the podium that said no dogs and then proceeded to hide her little rat in a bag on the ground next to her feet out of sight, then when Jery noticed it and told her dogs weren't allowed she then made a scene how no one told her and the people at the front told her it was ok yeahhhh ok Karen get a life and stop blaming people who are doing their job when you are clearly blind and lying through your teeth! After this I felt soo bad for Jery as this lady was beyond rude and made the whole dinning room aware of her presence which is totally the wrong way to go about this Jery even said to her you can bring the dog on the patio and I will serve you there but that wasn't good enough for her so she marched off being totally rude like I don't say this often but lose your entitlement get a life and learn to respect people! After this I left her a nice tip and thanked her for being so patient and accommodating to such a rude person like seriously good job to Jery for handling that! This hotel was easily one of my favorite I've stayed at recently and it seems they have it going in here, I'm hoping to return to the area soon and I without a doubt will be staying here again as my room was nice the staff was awesome it was quite and I felt safe especially with that security robot roaming around outside! I'm not sure If they do it for everyone but my breakfast was free im guessing it's because of the room I had but I dunno either way I can't complain about the French toast breakfast I had as it was yummy especially for free! Overall highly recommend the stay here and I hope to be back soon, as this time I was very rushed in my own activities that I didn't take many pictures.
