What a nostalgic bed and breakfast. I found them on the internet while shopping for real estate and gave them a try. The owners Sherry and Geri are the sweetest, most helpful gals. The inn is a step back in time. It was fun using the clawfoot bathtub and looking out over their farm at Viola the lama. The breakfasts were delicious. They spoil you rotten. I had a few days to myself so they sent me lunching & antiquing in Portland, Astoria and Hillsboro and boy.....what great finds. The nice part about it, is they are centrally located. Don't forget to check out their 11,000 square foot barn. Once a dairy barn in the early 1900's. Lots of fun history. I met the barn owl upstairs. Beautiful. There were lots of ladies in the main downstairs barn as well for a retreat.

Simply a great place to take your better half when in the need of a little R&R. Nestled in a lesser know part of Oregon, The Scappoose Creek Inn (B&B) is located in a farm like setting. With a main house,a barn and some farm animals this is a nice place to go if you want to have a great "simple life" experience when traveling in the or around the more Northern part of Oregon.

This place is wonderful. I love the location, the Inn, the owners, the food, the layout, and the themed rooms. So relaxing. The owners are so welcoming and sweet. You right away feel like family. We will be back again and again. Wish I would have found this place sooner. Love the country feel. Love EVERYTHING! Thanks for the best time with my family even better!!

I thought I wrote this review a long time ago but clearly I didn't. A little over a year ago my wife and I had our wedding at the Scappoose Creek Inn. We made a trip out to the Scappoose Creek inn after seeing it online but also hearing about it from a dear/our cater. We came out in winter but even then the place was amazing. They have large field with a arbor which was prefect for a ceremony. After that we went and saw the barn... Which is MAGICAL. They have a few things that always stay up such as lights and lanterns but they added were also and part of what made it magical. We left this place knowing that this is where we were going to have our wedding. Once the Holidays past (2014) and the new year began (2015) we called and booked this as our venue. The owners were there for us every step of the way. They let us come out whenever we needed as long as they were not slammed to get ideas on how we were going to decorate but also to let close family see the venue ahead of time. We booked a two block day so on 9-11-15 us and 10-15 other people showed up to decorate and do rehearsal. We had access to the barn and field which allowed us to get 95% of all the decorating done. Since we booked the 2 day block we also booked the cottage they had for us and 4 other people. We also had other family book rooms that night at the inn so none of us had to wake up SUPER early. The next morning we all got up and started getting ready. The inn also serves breakfast in their little restaurant for anyone who stayed the night which was also wonderful. It allowed us to breath for a second but also to have a few moments of fun before stressing for a couple of hour. We did photos before our wedding. The inn has a bunch of wonderful area's to take photos! You have the top of the barn were the doors are, the bridge by the pond, the field, all the trees and even there wood fence. After the photos we had the ceremony and the reception. Our cater had been here before so she parked in a spot that was next to the doors that allowed her enough room for her big smoker and all her tables. The owners were around the whole wedding in case we needed more chairs or a table or really anything. Tear down was super easy and went with out a hitch. OVERALL this place was amazing. Pros Cost- This place is reasonable compared to other place in the metro area Customer Service- These owners are wonderful! They are organized, friendly and extremely helpful. The Place- This place is wonderful beautiful. Cons- NOTHING We were extremely happy with this place and have nothing negative to say. Big Thank you to Sherry and Jeri for making our day wonderful. I am sorry I waited so long to write this.

But we couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one Boris and Lisa provided us with at Lewis River Bed and Breakfast. This place has breathtaking views along the water and a deck from which to watch the sunrise and sunset while eating any of your meals. Our hosts went out of their way to cater to us and add those special touches throughout the room, in the main house, and when eating. For example, when we were trying to decide what to have for dinner, Lisa provided us with menus and helpful descriptions of local food offerings. We got pizza delivered and Lisa had chilled a bottle of wine for us to enjoy while we sat outside and took in the view. And breakfast was to die for with French toast with fresh berries and syrup, bacon, fresh melon, eggs, juices... this is a place I would love to visit again and look forward to seeing our wonderful hosts again

The innkeeper is so sweet, friendly, and welcoming, she really makes you feel at home. And her cooking is mouthwatering, so good! Our downstairs suite was really large too, with two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. Basically an entire apartment. If you're looking for a romantic break away from Portland but not too far, this is the place to go. Walk around downtown a little, see the antique stores, visit the Twilight souvenir shop and Twilight filming locations, and go out into nature or drive along the river towards Astoria. It is very accessible from Portland and the drive there is beautiful, and when you arrive at your destination you immediately feel at peace. Brian and Linda do a great job of making you feel welcome. We brought our own snacks and had a picnic in the gazebo and enjoyed the view of the river, which is so wide at that point that it almost gives the visual of being at the ocean as ships rolled by. We stayed in the Hummingbird Room which has a very comfortable bed and a wonderful view out of the window. The rates are very affordable and include breakfast - Brian is a great cook and they offer several meal options. We added the firewood package and were so glad we did, as I type this I wish I could be back there next to the fire while looking at the river. They only have two rooms so if you went with some friends you would have the whole place to yourselves. This really is a hidden gem and I highly recommend making the trip while you can.

We could only stay one night and Kevin waived the 2 night requirement. This was so generous. Also, we had an early morning flight back to San Diego but Kevin graciously fixed us a large bowl of berries with yogurt that we could get ourselves at a very early hour. We stayed in the garden room with it's own private bathroom that was large and had every amenity needed. I even forgot my toothbrush but Kevin to the rescue was able to provide. We were the only ones there so we got to see the other rooms. The Blue Heron room is much larger with a desk and they are about to remodel so that the bathroom will be private to that room as well. My favorite room was the innkeeper's suite with it's own kitchen and beautiful views. If back in Portland that would be the room I would choose even though it's on the 3rd floor. The location of Fulton House is excellent. I was leary of staying downtown due to recent reviews of car thefts, etc. No need to worry about that in this neighborhood that is also walking distance to a fantastic grocery store and Rovente Pizza that is now in my all time top 3 pizzas in the US! We are seasoned travelers who frequently stay in 4 and 5 star hotels. I wouldn't hesitate to book the Fulton House again. Next time I hope to enjoy the lavish breakfasts people write about.
