Claudia watched my 14 year old furry best friend. She is very kind and gentle with pets. My dog was happy to meet her and settled down next to her as if she was an old friend. The next day when he saw Claudia again he was happy to see her and had no concerns about us leaving the hotel without him. Claudia is very trustworthy and has a calming, warm demeanor. She comes to sit at the hotel and brings her lunch, a book and she took him on a walk so he could use the restroom and stretch his legs. I wish we lived closer because I would definitely have her watch my dog again. What I found most remarkable about Linda was her flexibility. Like an expert surfer, she navigated the situation with ease, rootling through her trunk for a towel when I forgot one, finding water for my dog when she got thirsty, and safeguarding my car keys when I was in the water. All this while a wildfire was causing evacuations within a county of her house! Vacationing as a single person with a Border Collie is not without its challenges; thanks to Linda, I was in a better position to meet those challenges and have fun.

We were able to find a replacement LED necklace for our dog to wear at night after forgetting to pack ours. They also had some adorable clothes, including the cutest little sailor dress! All of the prices were clearly marked and we let her shop around to look for toys and treats. Let me start off by saying, it's TRUE when they say "Sasha is literally a dog whisperer". He absolutely knows what he's doing. Prior to meeting Sasha, my puppy (Karter) was biting everyone that came to my house and peeing all over the place and I was ready to give him away. I google searched "local dog trainers" and came across the Bark website. Of the handful of listed trainers Sasha was the only one to get back to me and when I researched him I noticed he had a TON of positive reviews. So many that I actually joked with him and mentioned that I thought they were all of his friends. LOL Now I understand why. When I spoke with Sasha I expressed my concerns with Karter and he immediately began to give me tips on how to correct some of the behaviors that Karter needed help with and although I didn't actually use any of the tips I appreciated that he did that free of charge. My idea of "dog training" was someone coming to my house a few times a week and training my dog to do everything I needed him to do, so, when Sasha said "most times he only has to come once and the rest can be done over the phone" I was like there's NO WAY this dude knows what he's doing. In my eyes Karter needed 24 hour assistance. When Sasha arrived he immediately got to work. He stayed for a couple hours and it went by pretty fast. He taught me how to implement walking Karter "off leash", teaching Karter discipline during feeding time and basic tips on potty training as well as creating boundaries which would affect how he interacts with guests when they come over. He also brought in his own pets which was nice because it showed me how Karter would respond to other animals. His training style is so simple yet extremely effective when you do what he recommends and that is to be consistent. I had a couple serious life events that took place after he came and I wasn't able to keep up with the training and I could see the difference. I have since gotten back on schedule with Karter and he has learned to use the dog door to go potty and hasn't had any accidents in the house for a few weeks. I can walk with him off leash and he has learned boundaries and space when company is over! All of the things Sasha told me to do worked. When he says get a 15 foot leash get the 15 foot leash. Don't take the easier route just do exactly what he recommends because he knows what he's talking about. This is my first dog and I'm a much happier dog mom because of the service I received from Sasha. I waited to post the review because I wanted to give Karter time to show improvement and make sure I was giving an honest review and honestly... he is the BEST! Worth every penny. I could go on but I'll let you see for yourself! Thanks Sasha and also your lovely wife. You guys are an awesome team!

Unbelievably great service. From our first phone call, of course on a holiday weekend, to meeting…read morethe front staff, and the talented vet techs. EVERYONE was kind, soothing and eager to help. My 11 year old Chihuahua-terrier mix dislocated her hip, she was crying in pain, we were beside ourselves, unable to help her. My husband called around who was open on a holiday weekend, and we found Atascadero Pet Hospital. They immediately invited us in to their beautiful facility and put my baby under anesthesia and put her hip back in place. We took her home in a hip sling, and she did wonderfully. We only had to give her the pain medicine that they sent us home with the first and second night. Today was our follow up and the hip sling is off and now we all have to do is pray that keeping her contained for a few more weeks with careful handling, her hip will heal and not need further surgery. I just can't express how much gratitude I have to these kind people and how wonderfully they treated us. I especially want a shout out to a young man, I think his name is Juan, young man, very handsome and just so in tuned to everything we needed to hear and how to take care of her once we got her home. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and assured us that we could call anytime of day or night if something happened that wasn't right or if my pet was in pain. I can't tell you how much this meant to us. Monkey is healing. We are so relieved to know that there are experts out there that will help us and be kind to our animals. Of course, the surgeon and the vets were amazing as well, so thank you to them and thank you for the time that they also spent with us explaining our options. And I just want to add, that those inaccurate reviews of this wonderful facility are likely hyperbole. Being a healthcare provider myself, for humans, I know, you can't make everybody happy. And you can't make miracles happen every time. There are many variables to consider when making a recommendation about options for health, and quality of life. It may not be an easy fix, and it may not be the best for the pet. And sometimes that's hard to hear. And, quite frankly, healthcare even if it's for a pet, is quite expensive. It's part of being a pet owner (or human). I was actually quite amazed that my dog had full-on anesthesia and her hip put back in place and a sling placed for such a reasonable amount. It was even less than they had quoted us and, they didn't ask to do a bunch of bloodwork and everything else ahead of time. They just took her to surgery and put her hip back in. Amazing! I stand behind what I said, these people are very mindful and compassionate in the work they do.
