I needed to find a new dentist due to a change in my insurance. I decided to come here after my husband and best friend recommended it. They have a private parking lot which had plenty of spots. The lobby was very clean and spacious. Check in was very easy and pleasant. I didn't have to wait long to be called in. I have extreme anxiety related to dental procedures including cleanings due to sensitive gums. Unfortunately, I didn't have a pleasant first time experience with the hygienist that day & even felt ashamed by her remarks. I wish there was more caring bedside manners especially coming in as a new patient & informing her of personal struggles but I decided to come back for a second appointment to fix other dental issues. The assistant that day was very kind and even noticed when I would tense up. She immediately reassured me and encouraged me to relax as best as I can. It was so helpful and I truly appreciated it. Dr. Metwali was informative, answered questions without rushing, and made the procedures go smoothly. I didn't have any post procedures issues besides the expected soreness from local injections. I've been coming to this place for a couple years now and have always left satisfied. And that's saying a lot as I absolutely hate going to the dentist. The dentists here are always matter of fact and bluntly tell you the truth. I appreciate their honesty and helpful recommendations and thankful they don't give me the run around (like every other dentist I've been to prior to coming here). They don't push me into treatments (that are usually costly) but give me all the options clearly and factually. I've had cleanings, x-rays, and fillings done here and every experience has been pleasant and efficient. For cleanings, the dental hygients are always extremely thorough, friendly, and full of recommendations. My appointments are always honored on time and the parking lot has plenty of spots available. Just had my second visit with Cambridge Dental, and I am looking forward to my next one! I come here for biannual dental cleanings, and the normal routine + fluoride treatment, the dentist goodie bag, and smiles are all included in your checkup :) My insurance was accepted without problems or additional charge. Aside from being conveniently located in the medical center with ample parking, I appreciate how the dentist didn't try to sell me procedures and really personalized my care based on my dental history and health. My sealants from childhood had popped off over the years, and when I asked about them, the dentist gave me an estimate of the price, but also let me know I was not high-risk for cavities. She did not feel like getting them replaced was a must, but having them always helps. When I told her I ate a lot of sweets and she saw that I had deeper groves in my teeth, she said it was probably a good idea (but still said it was up to me and didn't try to push me at all). ... now I can continue eating desserts with less guilt, yasss~~ They email and text you appointment reminders, so you'll never forget to make your due cleaning again :D Give your teeth a spa-- call in and see what Cambridge Dental can do for you! read more

As a matter of fact, every team member I encountered via phone and in-person were thorough, pleasant, and provided excellent service. My last minute appointment with Cambridge for a missing filling, after 2 unsuccessful visits to another dentist's office, my procedure was a success!!! The abnormal sensitivity I suffered with for 5 months, fixed in one visit. Dr. Walters was very thorough with explaining potential cause, immediate treatment, and potential treatment shall I felt no change. I would recommend Cambridge Dental to anyone, without reservation. I was actually referred here by a classmate when I first moved to Houston 4 years ago and have been a loyal customer since. I like that Cambridge Dental is never pushy about their services. I made a consultation appointment for my peg laterals, was given my options (e.g., veneers, bonding) and, when I decided that it wasn't quite in my budget at that time, left. They didn't give me a hard time about it at all. When I came in for wisdom tooth pain, Dr. Mason cleaned around my tooth (turns out it was periodontitis from the tooth eruption) and referred me to an oral surgeon since my tooth was very close my nerve and he didn't feel comfortable removing it himself. My favorite aspect of the practice, however, is my wonderful dental hygienist, Chuc. She is always so friendly, thoughtful and thorough. She remembers little details about my life and asks follow-up questions whenever I see her. She'll give me dental hygiene tips during the cleaning in a very relaxed, non-confrontational way. When she found out that I was engaged, she went out of her way to make recommendations for the big day (e.g., bonding for my peg laterals as a reasonable alternative on a budget, how to time teeth whitening). Had an awesome first time experience here! Called for an appt, they confirmed and sent me two text reminders the week of. When I got there I filled out paperwork, the staff was very friendly. As soon as I turned it in, a very sweet hygienist called my name and did my X-rays and cleaning. She was very thorough and explained everything every step of the way and was very gentle with the cleaning. I think her name was Chiu? She definitely made the experience truly excellent! Then Dr Walters came and did the exam, she was very thorough and pleasant. also the office is really clean and new. I've been coming to this dental office for over a year now as a patient of Dr. Mason and Ms. Karla as my hygienist. The staff are very friendly and the service is superb. I've had 2 emergent situations just this year alone, and they have been super helpful in accommodating my needs. I've been to other offices that try to get you for every nickel and dime you have. I never got pressured once to get any straightening or whitening. I just walk in & get my cleanings done. When I decided I wanted to try out Invisalign, I got referred to a highly recommended orthodontist which was also a great experience. Wanted a new dental practice and I read Yelp reviews so I decided to give them a try. (This practice accepts my Met Life dental insurance- even better.) They are open Fridays. My last dentist wasn't open Fridays and I'm off from work on Fridays, so coming here without missing work is very helpful. Got an appointment set up quickly and easily. Staff are very friendly. Nice office decor, ample parking. Equipment is pretty high tech! Dr. Mason explained everything he was doing. Had my teeth cleaned and it was painless. Actually quite a pleasant surprise. It is situated sort of in the middle of no where (I actually also live right next to it--in the middle of no where) and this dentist office is BEAUTIFUL. I made an appointment only a couple days before since my usual dental place had no availability. They were super friendly over the phone and figure out my insurance stuff right away. When I got there, I barely had to wait before someone took my x-ray. And THANK GOD my favorite part was that I did not have to spend 2+ hrs at the dentist office even if it's my first visit. I was in and out in less than 45 min. For a first time I was pretty impressed. I saw Dr. Marks who was a young dentist but she was nice. Would recommend it for sure if you nearby! I went there for a cleaning and x-rays that are supposed to be covered by my insurance provider. After the x-rays were taken, I was presented a Bill to approve for my cleaning. The bill came to $296 and that was only for half my mouth. I had to come back for them to clean and charge me for the other half. On top of that, they said I needed to come back every 3 months for a cleaning. I am only guessing the dentist needed new tires. I walked out! read more

Dr. Mason and the Dental Assistant Danielle were awesome. There was no wait time and I was seen immediately. Dr. Mason took the time to explain everything to me and educate me about dental hygiene. My appointment was at 4, I was 10 minutes late (due to a new uber driver who got lost picking me up) & I was finished by 5:15. They gave me xrays, and explained everything before they did it. They also gave me a "goody bag"! To say I was impressed would be an understatement!!!! I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful provider so close to home. My husband, daughters, and I have been coming here for 10 plus years and my favorite hygienist is Chu!!! She always spends enough time to make sure my teeth get cleaned to perfection. I always feels so clean after visiting her. Dr. Walters is my dentist but in all truth I keep coming back because Chu is so good. If you need a good place for dental work I do recommend this place. I went to this place three times in three weeks to get the teeth cleaned, the cavity filled, and the last wisdom tooth extracted (today). Dr. Marcks is very nice and very professional. I didn't even feel a thing when she pulled out the tooth. And after 11 hours, with two ibuprofen, I didn't feel uncomfortable either. She even called me after working hour to make sure I am fine! I am very lucky to have her as my dentist and strongly recommend her to everyone! The nurses there are very nice and patient as well. They answered all my questions clearly and treated me with respect. When I arranged my appointment with them over the phone, there were some problems with my insurance, they were very patient at dealing with it. Also the place is easy to find, very clean and nicely decorated. The transportation is great (right beside 610). The view outside the window is nice too. Is it odd that I actually look forward to going to the dentist now? I've been visiting Cambridge Dental since shortly after moving to Houston in 2012 and have yet to find a complaint. The staff are extremely warm, friendly, and professional. The office is very clean and equipped with the latest and greatest devices. They're extremely mindful of hygiene between patients--nearly everything in the room has a layer of disposable plastic on it that is changed out after each patient. Chuc, the dental hygienist, gives the most thorough cleanings I have ever received in my [just barely] forty years. She definitely has a passion and skill for this work. Procrastinated going to the dentist until finding this place conveniently located near work and home. The office is super nice and everything seems new. The staff are friendly and laid back and all three of my visits have been relatively unstressful and relaxing. My first visit was for a general cleaning and Dr. Marcks informed me I had a cavity and might possibly need a root canal. I scheduled my next appointment a week later and thankfully avoided the root canal and had my cavity filled. I hadn't heard from the office and was worried my permanent crown would come in while I was on vacation for two weeks leaving me with my temporary one. I called the office and the receptionist kindly looked into it for me, found out when my crown was scheduled to come in (they normally call when it actually comes in to schedule) and was able to book me an appointment two days before going out of town. I've had no issues with pain/discomfort either. I'll be back in 6 months for my cleaning! read more

I had a bit of an issue with getting my x-rays over to the office due to my mispronunciation of the email over the phone. Dr. Walters placed a crown on one of my teeth which still has irritated gums, even though it's been a few years. It was an PFM crown and the black margins are conspicuous and the color very off. She placed a filling on one of my front teeth which I thought was quite unattractive (a later dentist recommended that I replace it, as it seemed to be breaking down as well). I'm not sure how much I'd recommend her as a dentist. The doctor's bedside manner was also pretty gruff, but she was still nice - sort of. read more

I have an old friend of mine thats a dental assistant (from NY and she arrived here in Houston). She said the dental places in Houston are horrible. They just consider you a number and they rush you through without really taking care of you. This place (after doing several hours of research) is the opposite. They took the time to explain everything and throughly examine you. In addition they kept the appointment time. I waited 7 minutes but that was when I was filling out paperwork as a new patient. 2 minutes after that I was in my chair being examined etc. It was a pleasant experience. The customer service is very poor. I have been to the office 3 times and never was greeted by the receptionist. I had to sign in and say hello to her. When you are back in the room, the staff hardly speak to you even though they are in there with you. Dr. Walters has a very condescending attitude. I know I need dental work, which is why I was at the dentist office in the first place and don't need her to speak down to me or make snarky remarks about my teeth. I was told I would need 2 root canals. I went to another dentist for a second opinion, which was a wise move on my part. I didn't require a root canal at all and got 2 fillings instead. My wife had been going to this dentist so I thought I would give them a try. I made an appointment while I was there with my wife and I filled out all the forms. I also gave them the contact information for my previous dentist in PA so they could get my x rays (I had just had a full set of x rays done). They gave me an appointment card and said I should be all set to have my teeth cleaned on my appointment date. unfortunately when I showed up for my appointment they had no record of my appointment. The woman at the desk was very nice. She said she remembered me and that I filled out all the paper work and that she would try to track it down. After some time passed the office manager came out to talk to me. She sat down next to me and said "I understand that you think you have an appointment with us today". As I started to show her the appointment card she said " yes, I know , you have a card" and rolled her eyes. She then said she will see what she can do for me. She then asked me to fill out the forms. I explained again that I had filled out the forms the last time I was here. She said she would check. She then came back and said " we have no forms from you so you will have to fill them out". OK, so I filled out all the forms. Then I waited some more. After a total of more than 45 minutes of waiting they said they could see me. Great! I was accompanied by the dental hygienist to one of the exam rooms. She advised me that she was going to take a full set of x rays. I advised her that I had just had a full set of x rays at my dentist in PA and that when I was making the appointment I was told that since I just had x rays taken it would not be necessary to take them again. I gave them the contact info for my dentist in PA so they could get copies. The hygienist was very nice. She said great. Let me just confirm this with the office manager. Two minutes later the office manager came into the room and advised me that if I wanted my teeth cleaned I would need a full set of x rays done today. I explained to her that I had just had a full set of x rays done and offered to give her the dentists contact info. She once again repeated that if I wanted to get my teeth cleaned today I would need to have a full set of x rays. I asked again, can't you contact my dentist in PA and get the x rays? They are all electronic. She repeated the same statement again in a very annoyed and nasty voice. That was the last straw. She lost my paper work with all my personal information on it, she lost my appointment, she was rude & condescending and never once apologized and on top of all this she refused to even check with my dentist in PA regarding my x rays! I requested my paperwork back and left the office. I have been a business executive for more than 15 years and I understand that people are human and make mistakes. I have always said, we all make mistakes it is what we do after we make a mistake that makes the difference. read more

Simply Making Smiles has over 604 reviews on www.demandforce.com and are rated a solid 5.0! They are an outstanding dental office. In 2005, my company who offers an excellent dental plan, picked this Dentist Office when it was located on Fannin Street because it was (1) close to our office and (2) they easily passed all of our stringent requirements. Although the entire company relocated close to NASA in 2009, not only do all of the employees continue to come to Simply Making Smiles, they also bring their family members. You're greeted upon arrival and when you leave. The entire staff are 100% professional and unlike some dental/medical offices where they rack and stack you for to maximize their profits - Simply Making Smiles does not do this. You are seen promptly after arriving for your appointment. I don't remember ever leaving without a goody bag (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and/or valuable coupons). read more
