Primo Doors does not stand behind the products they sell. In June 2023 we spent thousands of dollars upfront on a Glasscraft fiberglass door which arrived with defective paint. After several attempts to remedy the issue the problem remains. I was assured by salesperson Ricky and owner Jason that Primo has an excellent relationship with the manufacturer yet they took my money, left me with a defective product, then threatened me with criminal action when I refused to pay an exorbitant installation fee. As a customer my time shouldn't be wasted by incompetence, especially when contract terms are not honored, but that's what you should expect when doing business with Pinche Doors. We decided to replace our front door after flooding from Harvey, even though there was no visible damage. It was our last repair and was completed early summer 2018. About two years later we noticed our door was starting to fade and crack so we reached out to the owner. He told us sun damage wasn't his problem and to find someone to repair the door. We tried once more to see if he would make it right and repair the door and he refused. The door we had prior to replacing never had any issues with fading or cracking so his excuse is not acceptable. This company was in high demand after Harvey like so many others so it's pretty clear we were sold a poor quality door with a rushed, improper staining job. Very disappointed that the owner was not willing to help us and make this right. read more

Absolutely, the best door company out there ! I stumbled across a post on Ask Cyoress when someone ask for front door replacement recommendations. Primo Doors was recommended by several people on the post and after being highly disappointed by Home Depot. I sent off an email to Primo Doors. Within an hour, I received a response back from Jason. He was very knowledgeable and dialed into what my vision was. After several emails, he let me know my options and let me decided. I loved that he was not a high pressured salesman. I went to the shop and looked at my options and decided on what door I wanted. My previous door was a single door with two sidelites. I thought that's what I "had" to get, but Jason advised me I could do double doors, which was my vision from when I purchased my home. BONUS, it cost LESS to do double doors ! I was ecstatic! We wanted custom made iron doors for our home and we chose Primo Doors based on reviews. We selected and ordered a side garage door, an iron and glass front door with side panels, iron kitchen French doors, iron master bedroom French doors, and a single iron out side bedroom door. After waiting about three months I emailed our sales rep asking for an ETA. Heard Nothing. Emailed again and heard nothing. So I called. I was told our rep no longer worked for them. They looked up my order but didn't have an ETA. Two weeks later I call again. Doors are in but waiting for glass. A week later we have an installation date. The installers only installed two of the five doors correctly. They installed the bedroom French doors with the privacy glass in the kitchen, and had begun to install the French doors for the kitchen with clear glass in the bedroom. Then they had mistakenly taken one half of the master bedroom French doors and hung it as a single door in the guest bedroom. Of course it didn't fit there correctly so they forced it to fit. Since the French doors couldn't be switched, they sent a glass guy to remove and switch the glass. While doing this the trim screws for around the glass were damaged. They replaced those screws with the wrong color screws and scratched the finish on the trim. So they sent out a paint guy. He said to make everything match the entire doors had to be repainted and mind you this is auto paint. The mess from the installation had just been cleaned up so the answer to that info was a no. The painter was able to touch up paint the screws and the damage but the doors no longer look new. We spent nearly $28,000 on all of these doors and the experience was horrible. We repeatedly spoke to the owner, but he never said that he was sorry and felt like we were just being picky. He could never understand after replacing the glass and screws why we felt the doors were no longer new. Over all we wish we had never used this company. read more

Primo Doors was recommended to us by a friend. They (Joe) helped with my selection. His knowledge of the product made the selection easier. The door was ordered and expertly installed in about a month. Each time I needed to get more information before placing the order, Joe was willing to give me the time I needed to understand what I was getting and how the installation process would work. We are very pleased with our new door. It looks great opens and closes as if on air. There was one small issue with one of the glass panes as it came from the manufacturer, but Jason took ownership of the fix, ordered a new pane and it was installed within a week of us notifying them. I contacted Primo doors Monday, Nov 26th. 2018 to find out about the possibility of purchasing custom interior French doors. First of all, it took 3.5 weeks just to get a bid from them. The reason I was given is that the door manufacturer had something going on in their sales department that impacted their time to generate it. After the bid was finally provided, I purchased the doors on Jan 7th. I was told by the representative that it would take 5 weeks for the doors to come in from the manufacturer, and another 3 weeks to be stained. She said that I'd receive a call from her when the doors came in, and that the owner, Jason, would call me after the staining to set up the exact installation date, which was to be the week of March 4th. FIRST MAJOR PROBLEM: I called the rep on the 5th week from the invoice signing (the week of Feb 11) because I didn't hear from her, only to have her say that it actually was an 8-week lead to get the doors in and that it would another 2 weeks after that to stain, which moved the installation week to March 18th! She never mentioned that to me when I purchased the doors in January and she should have called me proactively to let me know there was a delay. SECOND MAJOR PROBLEM: I received a call from Jason personally the week of March 18th and to my extreme displeasure, he proceeded to tell me that the manufacturer COMPLETELY FORGOT to enter the original order! That was infuriating, as anyone can imagine. To forget to enter the order is a home-operated-company-in-the-basement type of mistake, not a professional door manufacturer. And I was clear with Jason that ultimately, I didn't care about the supplier. Primo doors was responsible for delivering on commitments that were made. He said that the date of completion had to be moved to April 5 (another 3 weeks) and would speed up staining for an installation date of April 12th. The doors were FINALLY installed on Apr 15th. Jason sent me an email a couple days later asking me if I was satisfied with the install. I told him I was, but I was waiting for the permanent door knob hardware to be installed. He said what was installed is the permanent hardware. I said it can't be because I can't turn the knob to lock the door! He said that he remembered explicitly changing from "astragal and a privacy door lock" to "ball catches" when my doors were ordered. He claimed that the rep sent me information when I purchased the doors showing me the difference (which she did), and I made the choice for the ball catches (which I didn't). I told him that I didn't understand what either of those terms meant. I just wanted doors that could be locked. After a long conversation, he agreed to charge me only the cost of making the astragal, but the labor charge he would eat. I accepted that as a fair compromise. Once again, however, the constructing of the parts meant another 3-weeks to have the doors completed, as he said that's the time it takes to make and stain the part. On May 16th, the installer came to my house, only to find out that the size of the astragal was for a standard door and didn't fit the size of our custom doors! Jason admitted that he dropped the ball on that one. Shockingly, this meant that ONCE AGAIN, there would have to be a three-week delay before the door was finished! To say that that there was a comedy of errors is an understatement. Jason confessed that he was embarrassed by all the issues I had. FINALLY, the install was completed on June 4th. In fairness, there were a few positives. While I do believe it was insufficient, Jason did refund me the cost of installing the doors ($750) and the doors themselves are beautiful. I have no problem whatsoever with the quality of the doors, but to initially inquire about them on Nov. 26 and it taking almost 7 months to complete is just unacceptable. I really wanted to give them 2.5 stars because the doors are so good. But there is no such option and in light of all the problems I've mentioned, 2 stars is sufficient as a rating. read more

We are very happy with our new front door! Mark helped us through the selection process (style, stain, lock hardware) and we visited Primo Doors maybe four times and never felt pressure from Mark to make a purchase; he always answered our questions and provided his expertise. It was important to us that we keep the same key lock cylinder for the new door so we did not have to re-key our other entrance locks. Mark called the locksmith we use to avoid any communication error and confirmed that the key lock replacement would work before we purchased. On day of install, Mario arrived on-time, removed our old door, installed new door and lock with new weather-strips and cleaned debris. The new door opens/closes smoothly and securely thanks to Mario's precision. We have received several compliments from neighbors already.
