Honestly, as a single father, I expect a lot better from the teachers. Last year my daughter had Miss Carter Stewart, who was an amazing teacher.Very helpful. Very genuine !! This year My daughter has mrs Heidi Ellinger ,in my opinion she is a big game player .! Since the beginning of the year she's had an epiphany against me . I was not able to attend the beginning of the year meetings due to I had just started in the union . Now I have a little bit more time just because I was offered a job through Union friend with better benefits, and more pay who would not switch especially when it's something I love and I'm able to take all those days off, I have my princess !! Moving forward that's beyond the point !! My daughters mother and her husband was able to attend . I was not able to obtain any information due to personal reasons .I've always tried to speak with the teacher .I had just went to this trimesters . Parent teacher conference, which I was able to obtain some really good information to see what my daughter needs to work on but unfortunately the teacher was playing the game from when I had shown up trying to figure out me more about me than keep it on a respectable professional level.. which is very disrespectful from somebody that has graduated with honors I just is looking for the same for my kid! Anyone that is a single parent understands where I'm coming from we're not here to play games. We are here to figure out what our kids need to work on that we truly do love unconditional . I see why a lot of people are turning to homeschooling because of the nonsense that we have to deal with in public schools. Unfortunately, if it was my choice, my daughter would be at nelda Munday elementary where I attended and I see why they're still a distinguish school way better school a lot more respectable teachers. Now the teacher was playing the game so much with me. I'm worried about mine and my families well-being, and it shouldn't be like that coming from a public school. And unfortunately, if this keeps occurring or the game keeps being played with somebody, that does not want to be, my lawyers will be getting involved. Send the reviews from the school. I'm sure there's multiple parents that would not mind starting at class action lawsuit on the civil rights movement . I just wanted to make it known because instead of me making a public scene I like to put it all down documented and this is the best way to do it. I have a long commute all the way from San Francisco just to put up with nonsense which is very unfortunate. Hoping when my mother helps me now she will not be in harms way as well. Thanks read more

Very good staff! Principal has made huge improvements and they got rid of the rude person that everyone used to speak about. My kids love the staff here. One has moved on to Golden West this year but we still have one going to cambridge and we have no complaints. read more

This school, the principal and a lot of the teachers are a JOKE. The principal is basically useless and seems not to care about her students and is SO rude. The secretaries are also SUPER rude and unhelpful. TAKE YOUR KIDS ELSEWHERE. read more

Cambridge has grown into a better, stronger school over these past few years. Their principle has really helped change the school around. Their staff is excellent and hard working. With every school there are some teachers who are not the strongest, but as stated that occurs at every school. Often times people judge schools from an outsider prospective. But as an educator in a different district who has children that attend this school, I see the school in a different light than others. With that being said, I would recommend this school to anyone, and as an educator I feel not only comfortable, but confident that my own children are receiving the best education here. read more

Was our only option since all the schools on Travis were filled the staff is rude the teachers are judgemental and lazy I would expect more from a Travis Unified district and the principal again rude would not recommend kids going here if I had the money I would put them in a private school read more

I am a childcare provider . And I was detoured another route . I called office to tell them to hold child, I'd be there as fast as I can... They were so rude. Then on another occasion, my children, that I care for, said the principal was talking negatively about my childcare. That was appalling. I've never seen such a terrible school in my life! read more

Wow! I have had kids at Cambridge for 10 years. They are happy, well adjusted and in general having a great learning experince. The teachers they have had, have all been great. I find the office to be busy and chaotic at times but to be expected with all that goes on. The principal is awesome and on top of everything. I am a member of their PTA and have helped on many events over the years. They have to be the hardest working and most dedicated bunch of volunteers I have ever met. To think anything less is crazy. All I can say is WOW! Did you ever volunteer and help out? The only issue I have is the parking lot safety, but that comes from drivers not following rules on parking signs and painted curbs. read more

My son's began attending Cambridge three years ago. At that point they were struggling academically in their old school. My youngest had been in the same reading level since first grade and at that point he was in third grade. I can't express enough, the amount of work and dedication Cambridge teachers dedicated to helping my child succeed. This last quarter he made Honor Roll, and my oldest who is now in Junior High is doing really well, but it all started at Cambridge. Now they do after school art, my son took photography, and they implemented Robotics/coding in the classroom curriculum. Kids and teachers are positive. You can see the change. My child attended this school the first month of 2013, and by that first month ide had enough to pull them immediatly and move schools. The ladies in the office are rude and unhelpful at best, the pta people are even ruder. The teacher my child had was horrible, my child was bored, unchallenged and began regressing due to the lack of overall academic plan in the classroom. Any child that was at academic grade level or above was also bored and i witnessed this during a couple times i helped. The school has a hard time relaying information, we were sent home flyers about back to school night, so i took time off work to be there due to it being at 5-7 at 4 I get a automated message that due to kindergarteners having had an orientation before the beginning of the year they will not be included or having one. We were informed at the orientation teachers don't have time for parents questions/concerns after school or before so we can feel free to email if nessecary. It was nothing but a nightmare and now that we have our child attending another school in vacaville they are doing above average, wanting to go to school everyday and the teacher takes time to talk to any parents that need it at the end of the day or beginning. The school and teacher gives us constent updates about what's going on and we couldn't be happier. read more
