I consider the Cambridgeside "my mall" since its close to me and for that reason I have a special place for it in my heart. Its three floors which means a good variety of stores and the parking is cheap which is great- if you get there earlier enough on a weekend can you find street parking in the neighborhood for free. Jacob is a fun store that you don't find in many other malls Their H&M is pretty good They've got some fun interesting stores like Buffalo, Guess and Guess Accessories too. I do really enjoy this mall and can always find what I am in the mood for/need when I head there. Some flaws- The food court is okay, but kind of weak there are some weird restaurants that I've gotten medoicre food from. There is no Nine West which is kind of a bummer There is no Forever 21 which I think would make this mall pretty complete. The kiosk guys on the first level can be really annoying and because the mall is narrow they get right in your face. Overall I'd defintely suggest you check it out- you could even pop over to the MOS if you are out for a day of fun since its right across the street! read more

Very clean mall. There is a good assortment of stores, including my favorites like Gap, H&M and Aldo. It is very brightly lit and not even slightly cheap or trashy. The food court even has Au Bon Pain! Great place to visit when in Boston. read more

The only redeeming thing about this place is the Apple store. Once they open the new one in Copley, I will never come here. It is sketchy. I would not feel comfortable in this area at night or alone. The term, Galleria, denotes a nicer shopping experience but this was okay. I would very much like to visit other local shopping areas. read more

Decent mall in Cambridge, not as nice as the Burlington Mall or the Natick Place but it does have a good variety of stores. They do have a Cheesecake Factory and California Pizza Kitchen here, which is a big plus. read more

Looks like a typical indoor mall, and being so close to our hotel it ended up being our default eatery for two days. All of the places we wanted to be open early were open, and the CVS which we needed to be open later was only open until 9, but it still worked out for us. I could see that actually shopping here might be a drag, but for what we needed it for it served it's purpose. read more

Busy little mall with lots of well known shops. Not a lot of walking space and it's under construction which had certain escalators and walking areas closed off. All in all not a terrible experience. read more

Great spot with some great malls. The best thing is that you don't have to take the T all the way there, there's a free shuttle bus from Kendall Square, which can make it a lot easier to get to! Huge mall with plenty to choose from, all the standard mall fare (Gap, Banana, Express, etc). What I really like about this mall is that there's a California Pizza Kitchen here! Yummmm! No better way to reward yourself after a long, hard day of shopping than with a Thai Chicken Pizza! read more

You would think a mall located in Cambridge would be nicer, especially in the high-tech area of Kendall Square/East Cambridge which is home to billion dollar companies like Google, Microsoft, and several bio-pharms. While the holiday decorations are welcoming, the mall itself is rather gross. The bathrooms are always nasty and the foodcourt is typically a mess. Overall the whole place looks like it's stuck in 1998. On the good hand there is an Apple Store and Best Buy as well as some decent clothing stores for casual wear. There is plenty of parking as well as an attached hotel if you're visiting from out of town. I would recommend making the drive to other malls in Natick or Burlington, but if you absolutely need to shop here just make sure it isn't on a night they have a celebrity autograph signing session. read more

This is the closest thing to a real mall that I've been to in the Boston area. I was warned by a friend before I moved here that this mall was a total piece of s**t and that I should stay far, far away, but it had some store that I needed to go there, so I took a chance. It's not that bad. I am not sure if my friend is just used to more high-end malls (she recommended Prudential and Copley... both nice, but pretty high-end), or if this mall has actually gotten better (probably the latter), but they have an Apple Store, a Banana Republic, the full line of Gap stores (Gap, Gap Kids, Baby Gap, Gap Body), J. Crew, Benetton, H&M (womens only) and Ann Taylor. Yeah, there's no Saks or Karen Millen, but still, not bad. Some of the stores are really crappy. The Macy's here is terrible, there are all the cheesy sales kiosks selling cell phones, off-brand mineral makeup, rhinestone jewelry, and fake hair extensions, plus the random independent lingerie store, but I just avoid them. The Bath and Body Works is really tiny, and doesn't really work to substitute for Sephora, but it works in a pinch, I guess. Overall, it's not an impressive mall, but if you have a car, it is really convenient. It is right off Memorial Drive, and parking is cheap, which is more than I can say for Copley Place, which charged me $10 VALIDATED. It's worth the visit just for the convenience. read more

This mall is your typical mall in America generica. It has all the brand name stores - Bebe, Banana Republic, Gap, Express, JCrew, etc., and there are frequent sales. That's about it for its positive points though. Because it feels so generic, shopping here seems like a chore. My friends used to ask me to go shopping with them here, so we'd end up going to 10+ stores and I'd be tired by the end of the day. I think it is because this mall does not have a nice layout like Copley Mall or the Prudential Center do. It just feels claustrophobic. This mall also does not have a good food court. read more

Parking is expensive especially when you are there to spend money already. Mall is clean and has good variety of stores.

Store selection is OK, much more of a chain mall feel than you get anywhere else in Boston. Good for some things, not so good for others. It seems to be a favorite hang-out for rude teenagers, so beware of school vacations. Cart employees tend to be really pushy and the food court leaves a lot to be desired, but the amount of stores and ample parking makes it easier to get a lot done in a short amount of time. read more

The cost to park at this mall sinks. It's high and there is no discount if you purchased items. Which is why I give the mall a lower score. There are good stores with a nice foot prints (area to hold adequate amount of goods in stock). Unlike the Burlington Mall which has tiny store fronts and no parking. The scenery is great with the waterfront coming right to the mall and the mall always looks fabulous when decorated for the holidays. read more

for someone who doesn't have a car, i appreciate that i can take the bus to get here. the shops aren't all that bad, even though the selection is super um...eclectic. i have never seen a cvs at a mall before. the food court, however. omg. please remind me to eat before i go there. i was there today with a couple of friends and we had to get up and leave because it suddenly, and very strongly, smelled like hot barf. i'm sorry, that's very graphic, i know. but there is no other way to describe it. long story short, just pack a couple of granola bars and hit up the finagle a bagel on your way back to the T or bus. read more

I've only been here twice, and each visit went pretty well. I'm quite jealous of MIT students because this mall is conveniently located near the MIT/Kendall station. There's a shuttle that picks you up from the T and brings you to the mall every 20 minutes. There are tons of popular brands in the store, such as A&F, Banana Republic, American Eagle, etc. There are three stories to explore; what else can I say? It's a pretty sweet mall. I mean, it is just a mall. Cheap parking. It has all the normal mall stores, which makes it stand out from places like Copley and Newbury Street. It's a fun walk along the Esplanade to get there in the summertime. Great thing to do on a hot summer day- enjoy the air conditioning here. read more

This is probably the most generic mall i've ever been in. All the same stores you see everywhere else. I give it one star for having H&M (although it's small and lacks a men's section if i remember correctly) and one star for the mango curry at the thai stand in the food court. read more

This mall is located right off the green line Lechmere station or the 69 bus from Harvard Square. Is got something for everyone. Great option for college students without a car who want to get out of the Square to conveniently located shopping without having to venture into Boston. read more

Basic Mall with basic stores. Not worth risking personal safety, as there have been various gang-related incidents there lately, including stabbings. I heard from a Cambridge police officer that there's a turf war going on. The Galleria is the only mall where kids under 18 are not required to be accompanied by an adult, which results in mobs of them congregating there after school and on weekend. the food selection is better than at most food courts, IMHO. read more

Many people have summed it up but I will reiterate the good & bad points It is convenient especially if you work nearby and very easy to find street parking on a weekday after 5:30pm Thousands of teenagers everywhere. Rent a cop security guards & Cambridge police all over the place. Food court is crowded, cramped and disgusting. Stores generally as someone said are pretty understocked and the staff for the most part is either indifferent or rude. Other than Macys & Banana Republic, the stores are generally crappy with a poor selection of merchandise. read more

This mall has most of the things you would want at a mall. I find it too crowded on the weekends, but it's otherwise pretty convenient to the area. It has a very small footprint and instead is several floors, standard "city" mall. Food court is challenging to find anything fairly healthy to eat. The staff at this Apple store are very patient, and helpful, I bought a Microsoft Word for University and they helped me to install the first part. The product sucked big time i returned it and bought the regular version and the staff was very understanding and helpful and I was able to exchange for the normal word and excel product, more expensive but it's worth it. DO NOT BUY THE MICROSOFT FOR UNIVERSITY student. Wasted time and money. read more

This mall never fails to disappoint me. It just has a very strange vibe, and I always kind of regret having gone. A lot of the stores, I find, are not well-stocked. I don't understand why Boston can't have one decent mall. Cambridgeside is too weird and ghetto. Copley is basically a gallery of expensive things no one can afford, and Prudential is impossible to navigate and swamped with tourists. C'mon, Boston. You are losing points. Some areas of the mall are a ghost town, and then there's the ghetto fabulous mosh pit of screaming teenagers (I'm 23...not that much older...and I do not recall screaming and smacking each other's hair to be part of my mall going experience. We used to get smoothies or pretzels and just walk around and make fun of ugly clothes. anyway, avoid the throngs of kids). read more

This is a very crowded mall with little to offer. In my opinion, there are way too many kiosks and booths crowding the narrow halls. Also, There seems to be a disproportionate number of shoe stores... standing at one point on the second level there were 5 shoe stores in sight! There are many clothing stores but I would like to see other types of stores. I'll only go to this mall if I don't feel like making the trip to South Shore Plaza in Braintree. The food court is made up of almost entirely asian food stops, so not much variety. However, there is a nice Apple store here with friendly staff. I purchased a MacBook from this location and was very pleased with the friendly service. read more

Just want to warn everyone. My daughter ordered food from CHIANG MAI THAI today. I would not feed it to my dog. When my picky 15 year old. Said it wasn't good, I thought I was going to eat it, well I tried it and it was the most disgusting "food I ever had, not edible. Not even fried rice. I said something to them as we left and instead of apologizing they gave me a dirty look. I think they should be forced to eat their own food. Gross gross gross stay away! read more

Convenient mall close to the city, good selection and variety of stores as well as dinner/lunch options (Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs are both great for a casual night out). Never too crowded while I've been there, parking can either be metered (if you can find it) or maximum rate of $4 in attached garage would definitely recommend for a nice weekend outing! read more

I ordered sausage egg and cheese on biscuit from DD store in the mall and the cashier asked his coworker to prepare the food. But the assistant took ham for sausage. I reminded both cashier and the assistant that I ordered sausage but they insisted it was sausage. I opened the brown bag and the meat was HAM. No kidding, it was ham. Couldn't they tell the diff between ham and sausage? Or can they tell the diff between cow and pig? I was totally dissatisfied at that point already. Then the assistant took the bag back and redid it. This time, he took "sausage" out and heated it up. Ok, he knew what sausage was then why he did not make it right in the first place. BUT unlike the other store tossing the old order, he recycled the biscuit and replaced ham with sausage. The cheese was barely on the biscuit. WTF! Poor service also as they did not admit their mistake. DID NOT SAY SORRY! What kind of attitude they were. RUDE. Worst of the worst of the worst DD stores I had never seen. Never never never will go to the same store or same staff if I see in another store. It is a shame of having them there. WORST!!!!!!! read more

A mall is a mall. This is no Copley place but it's still nice. I used to live in Cambridge back when I was 4-5 and used to come here all the time. Nice place to come to if you want to get a bite to eat (cheesecake factory, CPK, PF Changs) or even if you are in the area to check out attractions. The TD Garden is walking distance away and the Museum of Science is 2 maybe three blocks away. Plenty of public parking, easy to get too, and right by the green line. Overall nice place. read more

The Galleria doesn't have high-end department stores like Prudential, but I enjoy shopping here. They have three floors and a pretty decent food court. They also have a Cheesecake Factory attached to the mall, which is a plus. It has underground parking and it's also accessible by public transportation as well. Overall a good mall, the weekends tend to be busy, but it's close to Boston and very convenient for me! Thumbs up!! read more

Unbelievable. The Apple store at the Cambridge Galleria is beyond rude. They will not allow children to be in the store with their parents on the benches outside (the kids are 13 and looking at computers). I was told there was NO age limit only if they were there too long. They actually had one of them in tears saying they were "uncomfortable" with them being there?????? We have been traveling and are almost done with our project in Boston. We were planning on buying three laptops and 4 phones before we left. We are still going to be buying....either at Apple at Copley or Microsoft at Copley - both know us by name and have on numerous occasions told my husband and myself what great kids we have. I sure hope that these rude people are not on commission. read more
