Wow, all I can say is that Arsenal Yards has really been stepping up their game, and I'm impressed…read more Arsenal Yards is adding variety to the suburbs, once again giving you that downtown Boston feel for less traffic. The shops and restaurants here are really curated in a way that it draws you in, as most of these places are one of a kind in this neighborhood...its really cool! Lots of new places since my last review...especially for all you foodies out there (& myself). Some of my favorite additions are Chip City and Blackbird Doughnuts. More on the way too, Jersey Mikes is coming as well as a new restaurant called ButterBird. The clothing store J Crew is opening soon as well. There's also a lot of fitness places I want to try, esp Rumble Boxing. Also the James Joseph Salon and the Skin Laundry place look cool. There's really something here for everyone, both of which are useful for everyday living, or just for a fun night out of new places to explore.

Despite nearly three weeks advance time, she was notified two days before the appointment that several of her selections weren't available. Her bridal consultant (Ashley?) walked her through the racks pulling out dresses she thought might work, and listening closely to my daughter's likes and dislikes. She did focus mainly on "bridal" options, but my daughter also picked out a few from the less formal "reception" collection that were viable choices. We liked the wide price ranges to pick from to try on, but we're a bit disappointed that there were more polyester and fewer silk dresses in the mix. We (me, mother of the bride and the maid of honor/sister of the bride) appreciated the offer of prosecco at 10:30am! It was so fun watching the consultant cinch and pin the dresses to give us all a sense of how each dress would look. And of course to begin to imagine our baby in any one of these! After the hour & a half appointment, the bride got only a little pressure to buy, and left with a card listing the 2 dresses she really liked and was still considering. Since the wedding shop is housed within a "regular" Anthropologie, on the way out my elder daughter and I stopped to try on options for us - and we each bought the dress we'll be wearing on the big day! What a fun first wedding dress shopping experience!

The Newton Highlands area is adorable. The little strip of shops and restaurants gives us a little place to walk around on the weekend. We have learned the hits and misses and are enjoying the process of learning our favorite places to dine and shop. While I still miss the late hours of the places on Comm and Brighton Ave, I'm adjusting to sprinting down the street to get sushi before is closes... at 9pm. The train station is directly on Walnut Street, making going to and from this area of Newton very accessible. The highlands abuts Needham and Needham Street so it might get over looked in comparison to the many shops on Needham St but give the Highland's a try.

The purse section was also pretty well stocked though I think you'll find more of a variety at Burlington with better price points. The remainder of the store had similar offerings that the other various Tj Maxx's have in the region just slightly more upscale with no sparse shelves or racks. So overall worth a stop, but slightly lower your expectations if you were specifically coming in for Runway and only Runway.
