I came here again with a friend to look for a present for another friend. We walked around for about an hour to decide on what to buy. There is a lot of stores , that have merchandises, that can make a perfect gift. Today wasnt really that crowded, like saturdays or fridays. However, like usually, the food court will have the most people, but within each store, there arent that many. I like how there is more room to walk, without bumping into other people, within the stores and in the mall as well. After shopping, my friend and I sat outside where the tables are located at and just listened to the music playing near the huge water fountain. I, personally, like the sound of the water from the water fountain splashing back into the pond/lake and the combination of the music made the place peaceful. read more

A nifty mall, normal chain stores, and an Apple store. They also have a "full sized" book store at the mall, and most malls just have a tiny Waldenbooks in them. The mall has a neat design, 3 floors high. They have glass elevators, which are always cool. read more

Last time I was here, I saw some baby mamma drama go down....big fight, police rushing in, you know the drill. The mall itself has a huge selection of stores, but hold onto your wallet/purse...the crowd here can be iffy at best. I suggest going in the morning. Ok, so I'm not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they claim that the Cambridgeside is not the best mall given the other options in the area. Which other options exactly? It's less sketchy compared to downtown, roxbury and dorchester, larger compared to atrium, chestnuthill, dedham, and south bay, more affordable compared to the Pru, and more accessible compared to the Natick Collection. In fact, other than Natick, this is probably the best mall in the area. It is also in a very convenient location and has a beautiful exterior and surrounding neighborhood. And I don't just say that as a native Cantabrigian, but as a shopper. But don't be misled. If you're afraid of fellow humans, don't go. This is a city mall and can be full of diverse populations. read more

A mall is a mall, right? RIGHT??! Well, the galleria is a three story mall and there are lots of stores that are in business just waiting for you to spend your hard earned money in. I enjoy shopping at malls that have a lot of stores. Some malls don't have this requirement (the Atrium for example, I swear it has 4 stores). I don't frequent this mall as much as others, because it is the forgotten mall to me. Growing up in Waltham, the Burlington Mall was where we'd shop for back to school clothes, Xmas gifts and hang. But, now that I'm closer to the city of Cambridge, I will head to this mall to get my shopping on. I do not really like shopping, but when it's rainy and I am lonely, I just might go shop. I don't even know if the galleria was built back when I was a kid. But, I do like this mall, it is big and it has a cheesecake factory and california pizza kitchen. I also see that they have a very artery clogging food court. I find that this mall is very very busy, a lot of people go here because it's so centrally located. Except for the fact that I always get lost when I drive to it from my house. I have no idea how this happens, I blame the construction. The last time I drove to this mall, I ended up in Beacon Hill. Yeah, notice how I did not say you need to be wicked smaht to shop here even though it's thisclose to MIT. read more

a good mall, and probably the most convenient for MIT students. i hear an h&m has opened up in it, and that can't be bad. jacob's a great store where i've gotten some nice business casual type clothes, and it also had one of the first bebe stores in boston. when i was a kid, you could go paddle-boating out on the fake pond outside the food court, but i don't know if they have that any more. read more

I've been coming to the "Gally" as us locals call it since I was in highschool and it has pretty much stayed the same. It has a good variety of stores, including my favorites, H&M, Aldo Accessories (and Aldo!) and The Body Shop. Mall shopping has lost its appeal to me but if you like malls, the Gally is a pretty good one. Other than the Copley Mall, it is really the only mall in the area that doesn't require a car to get to or a ridiculously long T commute. It's T accessible being that it is only two blocks from the Lechmere T stop on the Green line and there is also a free shuttle that picks you up from Kendall on the Red Line. Just make sure to check the schedule as they drastically cut the service down years back. There is also plenty of parking that is decently priced. Food wise, there is a good assortment of fast food joints, but some sit down restaurants like Cheesecake Factory. Oh, and lest I forget, there's a Cinnabon!!!!!!! read more

a decent Mall as far as Malls go. i mostly just park here for cheap and cab-it to the cooler places in the PRC.

I used to frequent this mall more when I used to visit as opposed to having lived here. The problem is that there's not a very good variety of stores here. It kind of caters to a one dimensional market (as opposed to malls like Natick--see my review). The main reason I used to come here all the time was because of the H&M--this was before H&M was more easily accessible to me (before the Legacy Place one opened) without having to go into Boston and fight others for Newbury St. parking. The H&M is a decent size here so I'd still visit once in a while. The Banana Republic is pretty big here as well but they don't have a large selection of petites like Chestnut Hill does. Other than a Best Buy connected to the mall, I don't see myself getting a lot done or being to able to hit a bunch of different places here. Another downside is that to park in the mall's garage, you have to cough up $$$. It's usually $3.99 for the length of time I stay but having to pay versus to going to Natick and getting the choice NOT to pay to park in the garage is a huge deal to me. read more

Cambridgeside Galleria is one of my favorite malls to shop at. There are tonssss of differerent stores to shop at, that cater to a variety of people... H&M, gap, american eagle, abercrombie, old navy, wet seal... and more. Peoplewise, there do tend to be a lot of trash that hangs out here, as if it were the local chill spot for them or something. One thing I can't stand though is the annoying hair straightener kiosk/cart on the ground floor... everytime I go, the guy there tries to stop me and attempts to badger me into buying their rip off 200 dollar hair straightener... not cool. I actually bought one of them before, (for about $150) and I dropped it on the floor and it completely broke. I was quite disappointed, seeing that I dropped mad loot on it. I ended up buying a $125 chi from Bed Bath and Beyond, and was much more satisfied with that- much better than the bootleg straighteners this kiosk will try to sell you. Dont fall for their trap. Location-wise, this mall is pretty convenient- just hope on the green line and take it lechmere. It's about a 3 or 4 minute walk, which is great. read more

im surprised to hear negative feedback about this mall. Yes, its hard to get in/out of, but arent all malls? Yes, there are some pretty sketchy and obnoxious young people wasting their time there, but isnt that the same of all malls? Yes, there is only one elevator (not including the Borders/Macy's elevator) and 2 escalators, but isnt that the same of most Malls? There are the typical "Mall" shops, some great restaurants and the location is very convenient if you live in somerville, cambridge, Charlestown, Medford area. coming from a person who typically doesnt like shopping malls, i dont mind shopping here! read more

This is the mall I go to the most in Boston. All the cell phone providers are there, Old navy with their reasonably priced clothes, cvs and a bunch of shoe shops. Pretty awesome for the average college student's needs. The one thing they could improve is add more restaurants of better quality food. read more

I come here all the time with my friends. They have every store that I love. They recently closed down Wet Seal and replaced it with Forever 21, which I really don't kind because I prefer Forever 21 better. The view outside the mall is gorgeous. read more

I do like this mall. Good selection of stores, excellent in fact. it's rather large and there's plenty to do. But why does it get 2 stars? Because someone gets stabbed every week. The teenagers that hang out here are more than just your typical annoying suburban kids. These are the all-stars of Cambridge, Arlington, Somerville, Charlestown, South Medford and Jamaica Plain (the Galleria and Jamaica Plain are at the opposite sides of the Green Line's E Branch.) I like coming here during school hours to avoid what usually dwells here. But during summer vacation and after school, don't come here unless you want to be mobbed by the most uncivilized, uneducated urban youth you'll ever meet. read more

This review is on the CVS SPECIFICALLY in the mall. I don't like malls in general but I must point out the aggravating experience I endure every time I go to this store. My issue is this: why must there be 1 or at best 2 cashiers in this store when it is busy. It is an annoying thing that can be properly remedied by hiring more people. The staff can be friendly and helpful but the managers treat customers terribly. I suspect the treatment goes to the staff as well for they clearly seem overworked and stressed. I would expect this at a corner store but a CVS? Surely they can afford more staff. Lots of times I will opt for walking further away to the nearby Star Market out of spite. What gives CVS? Time to step up your game! read more

Was there yesterday to buy an iPhone and will never go back. Terrible customer service. The sales rep accidentally opened the wrong color iPhone for me and then wanted to charge me $35 for an exchange fee. I said no. He then disappeared for 20 minutes, telling me he needed approval from his manager to waive it. Absurd and unprofessional. Don't go here. read more

I have no problem with the Galleria Mall I love that place but..... I went to Sarku Japan yesterday and there was a sign that said Chicken Teriyaki Buy 1 at regular price get a 2nd for $3.99 so I ordered 2 of them and they were charging me full price for both and I said no the 2nd is $3.99 it says it on the sign and she was saying no it has to be a combo and I said no it doesn't say buy 1 chicken teriyaki combo get a 2nd for $3.99 it just says chicken teriyaki so I was there arguing with her and the manager for about 20 minutes saying it's a false advertisement then and I took pictures of the sign and showed the manager and said 1 click of the button it will be all over Facebook and I will make sure u will lose the business. After awhile I told my friend whatever go pay and he went to pay they gave us 10% off and extra chicken because they seen I was taking pictures of the sign. I wouldn't recommend that place they r ripping u off money wise and the sign is a false advertisement if it's the combo put chicken teriyaki combo not just chicken teriyaki. read more
