Bad "policy" forcing financing…read more I was inquiring about buying from out of state, and everything seemed fine until they stated it is their "policy" to require you to finance 80% of the purchase price with one of their lenders. Not even IF you finance. Literally, you HAVE TO FINANCE. That is absolutely crazy! Their stated reason is for fraud prevention! But, considering cash in their bank account if not financed through them is a pretty solid show of faith if they have their bank accounts set up well. I guess they don't. I might have even offered to pay in advance to let the funds settle before I even bought there, but was effectively told no. Hope you in state buyers don't get forced to finance!!
