I just recently moved out of Camelot because I moved to Tucson. I cannot begin to express what a great living community it is. I moved to Yuma from Pennsylvania and was signing a lease for an apartment unseen. Courtney in the front office was amazing and made sure to stay in contact with me. The apartments are in great shape, especially when you compare them to your other options in Yuma. I could not believe how quiet the apartments are. During my second year, my next door neighbor had a baby. I'm sure that baby cried and got fussy but I never heard a thing! With any apartment there can be hiccups. In my case there was an issue with an overly friendly maintenance man. I reported it to the office and got a call back 10 minutes later from the apartment management assuring me it had been handled and it was. I'm only disappointed I couldn't take my apartment with me as my expectations of apartment life are now so high! read more

Brianna told us this was a processing fee to hold the reservation for us & if we did changed our minds, or the job fell through it would be refunded to us. That's a lie. If I could give 0 stars I would. When we first moved in it was fine for about 4 months. First: walls are paper thin. If you don't want to hear your neighbors watching tv, arguing or showering don't bother with this place. Second: management is a joke. The manager of this place is just, for lack of better words, a bitch. She has no sympathy for any issues that you may have in your unit. Any questions or concerns you may have are met with short answers and attitude. The only one in the office who gives even half a crap is Bri. Third: 90% of the residents are rude and inconsiderate. People will let their children run around naked and yelling at 5AM. One specific ass lives in 57e. They have a black mustang that is so modified it sounds like someone is jamming a stick up a monkeys butt. Fourth: if you ever have to defend yourself you better not "brandish" a gun. They'll force you out of the apartment because you "jeopardized the health and safety of other tenants". Fifth: the units themselves are so outdated that stuff falls apart and breaks easily. We had our dishwasher basically overflow twice. There are cracks in the ceilings, outlets are garbage, garbage disposal backs up faster than anything I've ever seen, and the appliances are trash. When you first walk into the units you may think "wow these floors look amazing." This "wood" floors are nothing but laminate that rip under the slightest strain. This complex on the hole is awful. In my opinion, Camelot Apartments is probably the nicest looking apartment complex in Yuma. You're given plenty of space, you have washer and dryer hookups, you have assigned parking, there are 2 dog parks, and there are 2 swimming pools. However, it is very import to understand that the previously mentioned niceties will only mask the "shit-hole" vibe of Camelot so much. Apartment Flooring: When you first walk into the apartment, you will be amazed at the beautiful wood flooring, BUT don't fall for that SHIT. The flooring is the equivalent of wall-paper. It will tear easily, and Camelot will charge you a HEAFTY PRICE to replace it. Parking: The assigned parking, albeit convenient can be extremely frustrating given that people will carelessly park in your spot. When they do, you're told to call the apartment security, but that lazy "MF" is never around when you need him, so you have to track down the owner of the car yourself. Apartment Office Staff For the most part, I found the staff to be extremely rude. No matter how professional or nice you are, they never smile. When you walk in to ask a question, they all have that look on their face as if you're interrupting their Facebook post. The only nice and professional office staff member is the "mixed" lady. Maintenance Staff: The maintenance staff are very nice and professional. The Kids of Camelot: Some of the kids at Camelot (especially the ones that live close to the second swimming pool and the gym) seem to have very little parental involvement. · They will purposely ride their bikes or scooters in front of your car as you're trying to park or leave the parking lot · They will randomly knock on your door, and ask to pet your dog(s). o My parents would have "killed" me if I did some shit like that · They like to play in the dumpster next to the second swimming pool · The little blonde-haired kid that always carries a stick will annoy you because you don't know if he is going to hit your dog, damage your vehicle, or damage your outdoor furniture Move-out Be aware that when you move out, they will charge you a carpet cleaning fee even if your carpet is spotless. read more

This is the second apartment complex I have stayed at while in Yuma, Arizona. The first was El Encanto. Apartment complexes here in Yuma are not exactly what you would call cream of crop, but Camelot has surprised me. Here is the break down for Camelot. Grounds: This is worst category for Camelot. The grounds are typically clean but from time to time you can see trash floating around. I typically remove trash from my yard once a week or so. The grass is normally nice and they keep the trees trimmed. Parking: This is what got me. There is assigned parking, one spot per apartment. Along with that there is guest parking all around. The one thing you need to be reminded of is that most people have more than one car so parking here is very tight if you have more than one car. We have only one person take our assigned spot but if someone takes your then you can call the office and they will tow the car for you. :) The Building: This is the best part of Camelot. The apartments here range from 600 to 950 sq feet. We rented the Cambridge apartment which is a two story townhouse. They have other styles which vary in sq feet. Their web site is now updated to show you the other styles and current prices. We Love the Cambridge style apartments. It is two stories so you don't have to worry about people above you. Cost: cheap to moderate, its price to sq feet ratio is very good. Our 919 sq feet cost us 700 a month. It makes it a nice place to stay while getting ready for a house. :) Support: Every work order I put in for them to fix something has been satisfy. They just added a web portal so submitting work orders are easy and relatively fast. If your house is flooded you may want to call. :) (it has happened, but that is what renters insurance is for. :-D ) Also they give you good 2nd year incentives to stay with them. For us they gave us a free carpet cleaning along with 400 dollars off the first months rent. Extras: They dont have a gym on the grounds so instead they give you the option to pay 5 dollars a month to go to World's Gym. Now the deal is only 5 people from Camelot can be in the Gym at a time. This isnt too much of a problem for us because of our schedules. If you like working out at odd hours then 5 dollars a month for a 40+ dollar membership is great. You simply give camelot 5 dollars every month and they give you a card good for one month to go work out. I would recommend you at least take a look at the Gym, it seemed very nice to me but that is another review. :) In a nut shell: Pro: nice about of sq feet for the price, washer and dryer hookups and quiet neighborhood. cheap Gym. Con: You need to meet some criteria to rent here. 1.) you need to make 2x the monthly rent per month. 2.) You need 2 year previous renters history 3.) I don't remember the third.. but if you make the first 2 the rest is easy. Also parking is not great. So if you have friends over make sure they know the guest parking locations. read more

Additionally if you need to get out of your lease for any reason good luck..it even says in the contract even if YOU DIE SOMENE HAS TO TAKE OVER AND PAY YOUR LEASE. I stayed here for 10 months and had a good experience. The apartments are on the older side, but the best compared to others that I toured. I was in a one bedroom and could hear the neighbors doing laundry once in a while but overall was surprisingly quiet. The maintenance staff is so friendly and work really hard to maintain appearance of the complex. They really respond in a timely manner to any maintenance requests. They are super efficient with the parcel service. I communicated with Bri for any apartment related matters for the majority of my time here and she was very nice and helpful. I got a job offer elsewhere before my lease was up, and the move out process was pretty hassle-free. There were two mix ups, which is expected when there are multiple people involved, but they handled and resolved the issues very professionally and kept in communication with me the whole time. Moved here from Oxnard, CA. and I must say I am quit surprised at how nice this place is! It's an older apartment community with great landscaping, 3 pools and jacuzzi's, a gym and laundry facility located onsite. All apartments come with washer/dryer hook ups, central a/c & heat and pets are allowed for an additional cost of course. I only signed a 6 month lease since I wasn't sure if I was going to stay here in Yuma (which added $100 to the monthly rent). The maintenance staff is on top of it, you file a maintenance request online and they are there that day!! So far great place to live and I absolutely plan on renewing my lease... read more

Was moving from out of state for a new job. Paid the application fee and processing fee. We were told the processing fee would be refundable if we cancel before the move in date. Not bad but not great either. Lived here for one year and excited to be moving on to bigger and better things. The gym has equipment that consistently breaks, currently all the treadmills are out of order and have been for quite some time now. Months maybe. No signs of them getting fixed anytime soon. Water is shut off on what seems like a regular basis for repairs. Actually woke up to the apartment flooded in the front, the parking lot was a lake, and our water shut off. The sprinklers water the sidewalks more than the grass. You have to dodge the water streams and just begin to accept that you will get sprayed when walking on the sidewalks. One of the parking carport sections has been caution-taped off for a month, no signs of being fixed soon. The people living in that area now have to park in unmarked spots, causing for even MORE limited parking. You get one marked spot, and mine is constantly blocked in by people parking in the narrow red fire lanes. One time we put in a maintenance request for our kitchen light going out. We never got a response but instead we're told the issue was resolved... nobody responded to it. A new request was put in. The walls are thin upstairs I can actually hear my neighbor's pee hitting the toilet water every single morning, and I can here him cough, hack, and sneeze. Electric bill is high in the summer, and the upstairs floor gets so hot it's uncomfortable to be up there during the day. On the positive side, the apartment layout for the 2-story townhouse style is nice. Small, but cozy. Grass everywhere with poop bag stations for people to pick up after their pets (even though many still don't). Dog park is a nice place to let your dogs get some yard time. Only downside is it gets very damp and swamp-like with mini cesspools after the sprinklers go on. Poop everywhere, with littered bags and cigarette butts everywhere. Smells strongly of urine in some areas by our apartment where dog owners let their dog relieve himself in the exact same spot every time. Would I choose to live here again? Probably not but I am thankful to have a place to live. Be careful before you sign that lease, read it thoroughly and make sure you put in that 60-day notice to vacate right on time! read more

I moved to Camelot in February 2020; price is a little high for the Yuma Area. There needs to be lots of renovations. Seems like they keep putting the renovations off, lots of patches in the walls, and they use paint on the counters which peel when they are wet, old AC units, lots of sewer roaches and regular little roaches, paint splatters on the laminated floor, like they rush on regular maintenance when people move out, my problem right now is they can't keep up on regular maintenance in the complex ( lots of broken tree, and broken lights, very dark apartment complex) . When I first moved in I had an experience that scared me. Where one of the maintenance workers unlocked my door and walked into my apartment. Which should NEVER HAPPEN. I live alone and as a female my heart dropped from my stomach. Mind you I have two dogs, a pitbull and a pointer. Which are very protective. Some positives are, there are 3 pools, and a pretty good size gym. (2 pools have no light what so ever and very dark.) in conclusion, defiantly will be leaving after my lease is up. read more

Well where can i start..... staff is nice and personally until you sign the contract after that its all about the money.... apparently theirs a 60day move out notice?! Isnt the contract expired by a certain date? Obviously if we don't renew it means we out by that date! Anyways we went 40days in advance and nope we not only arent allowed to move out our original "contract " date but we have to pay a $250 fee because we are staying past our move out date!!!!! umm excuse me but i want to move out but you wont let me! And you still charge me!? Nooo this people are money driven and have no problem screwing people over definitely would not recommend. I rented here because I needed a crash pad due to my work schedule. So, that being said I was not in my apartment much over the last year. The few times that I did stay at the apartment for any extended time I started to notice that is was kind of dumpy and was glad I didn't live there full time. I'm not saying this place is a complete ghetto but it's also far from "luxurious", as the advertising claims. Floorplans dated, years of "Band-Aid" fixes showing, and the is flooring cheap. You'll never feel alone, because you can butt in to your neighbor's conversation though the walls. Heck the walls are so thin you can taste what there cooking next door. There was seldom a day when I got home and didn't find a dead roach or two as well as find weird bugs in the carpet. Overall, I'd give the place a "C" letter grade. It's not bad but it isn't grate either. That is why I chose not to renew the lease and found something better. read more

I HAD LIVED AT THIS COMPLEX FOR A LITTLE LESS THEN A YEAR AND WAS SO HAPPY TO MOVE OUT!! LETS START WITH THE GROUNDS---There okay, the grass is cut every couple weeks. From time to time there is trash that blows up on our patio.. GROSS! There is a lot of dog waste from people that do not pick up after their pets. I was actually given a notice to pick up the dog waste outside my apartment that DIDNT EVEN come from my dogs!! --As for the lighting the ONLY lights there are, are the porch lights that in most cases dont ever go off.. soo your paying for your porch lights to be on the ENTIRE DAY! There is no lighting or security cameras in the parking lots PARKING is crazy, you are assigned one covered parking space so if you have more then one car or if you have guests coming over your lucky if you can even find a space and if you do its so far away. my assigned space wasnt even on the same side as my apartment!! As for the uncovered spaced a ROTTEN TREE FELL ONTOP OF SOMEONES CAR WHILE I LIVED HERE!! My neighbor is the one who had the tree fall on top of their car, they tried to get them to pay the deductible on the insurance and the apartment complex refused even though it was due to poor ground maintenance and they would have had to pay for it if they didnt lie to them and have the tree removed after they said there was no reason to have it removed, They gave them a run around for 5 months just to tell them no in the end. The staff from the office all the way up to the regional managers are not very professional, actually they are the worst & they are always changing employees. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors. The maintenance men are very helpful and always seem to get the job done correctly in a timely fashion, so of them do not speak the best english though. The inside of the apartment is okay, the walls are kind of thin and the counters in the kitchen are old and seem to be painted over and over again after each tenant moves out, the kitchen cabinets are just pieces of wood hanging on hinges. Nothing all that great. THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE ANYONE WHO IS NEW TO THE AREA OR EVEN LOOKING TO FIND A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE.. YOU CAN RENT A WHOLE HOUSE FOR THE SAME PRICE OR LESS.. YOU JUST NEED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH A REAL ESTATE AGENT OR LOOK ONLINE ON THE YUMASUN WEBSITE OR EVEN REALTOR.COM THEY HAVE SOME REALLY GOOD DEALS!! I've lived at Camelot Apartments from Aug.'09 - Aug. '12. It's a good apartment complex to live at. It's clean and neighbor friendly. It's an older apartment complex so don't expect new appliances or a kickass bathroom or kitchen room. I've lived in the big cities of Los Angeles and San Diego and have been through my shares of upscale apartment rentals. If you're coming from these types of properties, be prepared to step back a lot. Yet, it's still a safe and friendly apartment complex. Management strives to maintain your needs, and they do a great job to make you feel at home. Maintenance will work on your repairs and never complain during the hot or cold weather conditions....good people. If you're looking for dog friendly, budget conscience or a property that's not filled with snobs (working class/military/border patrol/police/teachers etc...), stay here. The only drawback is that sometimes, electricity goes out:-( from desert lighting storms. And, in the hot desert heat, this is nightmarish. Just sleep buttnaked till they restore power in Yuma (like some of y'all have never done this;-). read more

Awful place to live, and if you mess up once they're on your tail for the rest of the time living here. We live in an upstairs apartment and don't have access to an outside closet pretty much like everyone else. so tell me why we are getting fined for FISHING POLES and BIKES being left on our porch?? While people directly downstairs literally have trash bags filled with garbage and kids toys all over the front lawn. Where should we put our outside stuff if not outside? Not to mention late fees are outrageous. We signed up for auto pay and it did NOT go through. We didn't notice until the monday after and our rent went from 850 to 1,200 over just the weekend and continued to go up while we were talking to one of the ladies in the office. Ended up having to pay 1,900 at the end and she still tried and kept refreshing the page. DONT MOVE HERE. Our ac only works in the living room on of our stove tops will literally just stay on hi no matter how low the temp is set at and our lights that they continue to replace are going out. My husband & I lived in Camelot Apartments for about three months. In the short time that we lived there, our toilet, hot water heater, air conditioning unit, refrigerator, and stove top broke, we had around 30 cockroaches and a whole in the wall of our bathroom where the cockroaches were coming in from. While Camelot is very nice on the outside and has very pretty landscaping, the inside is very cheap. Each time we called maintenance they came immediately but never fixed the problem entirely, they would temporarily fix any problems we had but the problems would come up again shortly after. Because our air unit was broken, it made our bill go up by $300 than the quote they gave us. Camelot refused to give us a new air unit because of a waiting list so we had to deal with our apartment being around 90 degrees for a week or two. We started talking to some neighbors about the problems we had and realized that most of the other military families were also having similar problems, but our next door neighbors who were not military had not had any problems the whole two years they lived there. We also noticed that our next door neighbor's rent was only $20 more than ours for twice the square footage and two levels while we only had one level, when we were told for a two story with twice the square footage that it would cost $100 more than rent for the one level apartment we rented. We know of another military family living in Camelot whom was paying $100 more for rent for a two level apartment while their neighbor (non military) was only paying $20 more than our rent for a one level apartment. While this might be a coincidence, I would not recommend living in these apartments to anyone, especialmilitary families. read more

I lived here for a year..and I can say it was better than I expected..I moved from Southern Cal and had high expectations.Luckily, my stay was not bad at all. Staff is okay, Courtney is nice and helpful, some of the others are a little curt at times. I know some people had issues with maintenance, but I never faced the same. This is the absolute worst apartment complex. Do not live here. They will screw you out of all the money they can. The office staff will be nice at first but they absolutely will screw you over. Things in the apartment will break and they will either not fix it or do a terrible job so it will break again. They say there is a security officer but no one really sees him and break ins happen. If you like feeling like you're still living with your parents, then this place is for you. If you would prefer even the slightest modicum of privacy, then you should definitely seek other arrangements. Since we moved in three months ago, we have had two apartment inspections, the most recent notice stated that there had best not be any clothes on the ground. Now I'm a fan of a tidy apartments, but who the hell is to tell me where I can drop my pants at night? My wife in I chose these apartments so we could bring our small dog with us, but if that dog is in the apartment when they come to inspect than we will be fined. Of course you cannot schedule your inspection, so if you work during the inspection hours and you don't have a way to kennel the dog....You'd best pray you can take your dog to work, or fork over the cash to buy a bulky space wasting kennel to lock your furry family member in. Yes it is true that the maintenance on the apartments is decent, their are only minor blemishes throughout the apartment, which you can be certain they will use to keep your deposit, but in no way does that make up for the absolutely obscene and repeated violations of privacy. To quote many many upset people, "I'm a grown ass man!" I give you money, you've inspected my apartment less than a month ago, leave me alone!! The management here are nice but the policies they enforce come from the property owners, 800 miles away in Salt Lake City, Utah. Additionally to being from some other state, the property owners have proven themselves to be untrusting in the every way possible short of a rectal exam. When we moved into the apartment, We were prepared to pay our first months rent, and deposit either through a check or cash, but when we arrived we were informed that we MUST pay via a money order, you know because they don't even trust their employees not to steal from them. This was not something mentioned prior to arriving that day. To be honest getting a money order isn't that hard, but I sure didn't know how to get one. I've never done business via money orders....you know because I don't usually do business with shady people (like the owners of Camelot Apartments); and because my phone didn't work (not their fault...thanks Tmobile) I couldn't even look up how to get one. To end this review I will say this, I would rather live in a hovel filled with mice and bugs than deal with turds like this again. read more
