Easy to rent from once I spoke to staff. Their online request form is a little confusing and acts like it's going to charge you upfront but it's really just to get a quote. We rented some nice Irish coffee glasses for a hot chocolate and coffee bar for a baby shower and a good number of their wooden chairs. The wooden chairs were a little bit more scuffed & dented and appeared to just need some finish work done to them in the future. But we understand these are rentals. The chair's still folded nicely and were comfortable and worked great! They have a huge variety of items, and although it just takes some scrolling through their website, it is nicely organized. My wife and I called upon Camelot Party Rentals after a blowout with our original venue just weeks before our wedding. Hosting a memorial service for my FIL who recently passed away and came across Camelot. The entire process of adding items that I wanted to my cart and then "checking out" was bizarre but I was down to the wire and needed rentals. Never received a phone call to talk about or confirm my "order" so I assumed they didn't have what I needed and moved on. Found another company that also starts with the letter "C" and booked through them. Phone calls, confirmation emails, contracts, etc. aka normal business practices occurred with this other company and I secured my rentals. Needless to say I was shocked when I discovered a $100 charge on my credit card from Camelot since I never heard back from them and didn't recall ever seeing a contract. After speaking with Deisi, who was rather rude, it seems that they did in fact send a contract over and I, in the chaos of planning this memorial and grieving with my family, I mistook their contract for the other company's. My fault completely, yes. I explained what happened and asked for a refund since the event was still 3 weeks away. I was told "There will be no refund. That's our policy. Have a nice day." It was a simple and honest mistake. Kindness and empathy go a long way. Do better. read more

After many, many changes to our pandemic times wedding, my husband and I found ourselves in need of building an entire wedding ceremony and reception from scratch. My husband's background is the live events industry, so he was excited to design and organize the rentals needed for our wedding. Luckily, Camelot was able to facilitate everything from the necessities to the special touches that we envisioned! I was super impressed with the wide range of tables and chairs and the fact that we were able to perfectly curate our look and price point. My husband was able to build the exact dance floor and stage for our dinner performance. Granted he is skilled in stage plots and design, so he was easily able to communicate all of the technical aspects with Camelot. Personally, I was most satisfied with the ability of Camelot to supply the exact hexagon arch that I wanted; the same one that was denied by our previous wedding coordinator. Being our own wedding planner was such a breeze thanks to Camelot. We found almost everything that we were looking for on their very detailed website. The only thing I insisted upon was actually seeing an example of the napkin color in person. You never know how color translates when viewed on a screen. We had an appointment at Camelot's showroom with Deisi to see the napkins. Everyone in office was masked up, and I appreciated having the appointment so we didn't have to worry about others. After seeing how easy it was to coordinate rentals with Camelot at the last minute, in the middle of a pandemic, I am eager for large scale events to be safe again so that my husband and I can start planning our big reception for all of the uninvited friends and family. I wish I could give 0 stars for this company but particularly for the representative Deisi. She took forever to respond to my emails and clearly never read them thoroughly because we had to edit our order over and over to finalize it. She never answers her phone and her mailbox is full so you can't even leave a message. But this is not why she deserves 0 stars. She deserves 0 stars for taking 5 days to update my order (only 10 days before our scheduled delivery date). I reviewed the order, and finalized over one week before our wedding date with payment. She called me today, just 4 days before our wedding and CANCELED OUR ORDER. She laughed at me when I was obviously upset and when I asked to speak to her manager she laughed again and told me she was the manager. Unbelievable and appalling that she is allowed to manage anything since it seems that she cannot even manage to be professional herself. As a business owner and previously in the wedding industry, I am horrified and incredibly upset by this entire interaction. I had contracted with them to at up a large tent on a brick terrace for my daughter's wedding reception. They arrived without the proper anchors to anchor it to the terrace and only had stakes to anchor it in the grass. They set it up in a side yard which was I. The way of the ceremony and not in the correct contracted location. They refused to bring the proper equipment to anchor it on the terrace and had to disassemble the tent and take it away. They were not able to fulfill the order and were refusing a refund. They ended up refunding less than half of what I had paid. Communication is so very important especially for businesses that provide services for a wide variety of customers. Take me for example. Although I am not a party planner, I am capable and a good communicator which is why I first brought my problem to the company representative, Deisi Gonzalez the day after our event. I had wanted to host a festive party with real dishes, glasses, and cloth tablecloths and my caterer referred me to Camelot. Using their website I placed my order for tablecloths fitting a six foot rectangular table but there was a problem. I wanted lap length cloths but what I ordered were banquet or floor length table cloths. The Camelot website does not include diagrams or dimensions for the table cloths to help their customers make the correct choice. When this was discovered, on the day of the event, we solved the problem by using one cloth to cover (2) six foot tables. Therefore, I was able to return four cloths unused and so asked that I be refunded for their rental cost of $112. After some discussion, Deisi said she would bring my issue with the management. Two days later I was informed my request was denied. When I asked for the supervisor or owner's name and mailing address so that I could make my case directly, I was again flatly denied this information. As a consumer I should be able to take my issue to the person who makes the final business decision. Instead I was blocked from resolving my concern with the supervisor or owner. They will not even listen to my valid complaint or look at the excellent example of how to choose linens offered by their competitors. This is unacceptable and leaves only social media as an option to address the bigger problem at Camelot - they do not communicate effectively on their website. As an example, below is a screenshot of the detailed information I would have benefitted having describing table cloths available to rent and how to obtain them. This information comes from ALL OCCASION PARTY RENTALS. I wish my caterer would have included them on her list - now she does. It's hard to rate Camelot because I have such conflicted feelings about my experience with them for my August wedding in Lake Tahoe. Here's the good and the bad. Good: - They set-up and broke down the tables and chairs very efficiently. Our venue, the Ehrman Mansion, had a tight timeline and they respected that. It was pouring rain at the end of the night and they were superstars clearing out quickly. - They have a wide selection of items to rent. We didn't go with Event Masters because they ran out of tables! We did not have any concerns with this at Camelot. - Staff was extremely nice on the phone (when you could get a hold of your contact there). - Tables and chairs were high quality and in very good condition. - One of the heat lamps did not function at the wedding, and they refunded the cost no questions asked. Bad: - Although we had several draft invoices, Camelot tacked on over $1000 to our final invoice. This was for various delivery fees (including a late night pick-up fee) and items associated with our generator rental that Camelot never informed us about (even though our prior invoices already included a lower delivery fee cost and they knew the timeline beforehand). This was a WEEK before our wedding, making us scramble to secure a reasonably priced generator. - We had issues getting ahold of them. Our employee contact quit and it took nearly a month for someone to take over her responsibilities. Email communication was good after that, but declined as our wedding approached. - We would call and leave a message with our new contact, who would not call back until 15 minutes before they closed at 5pm. If we missed that call we could only get their voicemail (again). Overall, our wedding went off (almost) without a hitch, but it was a bumpy road getting there. I might recommend Camelot, but be sure to ask them whether every single invoice includes all of the additional fees and charges, so you don't get blind-sided at the end like we did. read more

We recently used Camelot Party Rentals for our backyard wedding. Planning a wedding during Covid was very interesting and stressful, with lots of uncertainties. We had put down our deposit in the fall so had everything secured, but 2 months before the wedding had to change the location. 2 weeks before the wedding we adjusted tables, chairs, and added a tent. They were very easy to work with and accommodating. While the reservation agents were great, the set up and delivery people were FANTASTIC!!! They showed up right on time (even a little early) and got right to work. We paid for table and chair set up and take down, and it was worth every penny, if not more ;). We rented a 20x30 tent and they rotated it after set up and were very mindful of the water lines when anchoring the tent. The pick up was fantastic, we didn't lift a finger. They unfolded all the chairs and took down all the tables, it made our clean up so much easier. A HUGE thank you to their delivery team! read more

We used Camelot Party Rentals contracted through the Nevada Museum of Art so this review is solely based on the quality of products because we did not deal with Camelot directly. The rentals we used included white folding Samsonite chairs, black chiavari chairs with black cushions, black lamour tablecloths and white lamour napkins. All of our rentals were in pristine condition. There was little or no visible wear on anything (that we noticed). Our main concern was that the white lamour napkins wouldn't be the whitest white, but they were! We are very happy with their products and will continue to use Camelot in the future. read more

One week before our wedding we were told that they could not accomodate take down on a saturday night because this was not considered a business day. Someone by the name of Daisy was incredibly rude and said whoever told us they could do this was incorrect. (Don't most weddings/events take place on a weekend?) She also told us that we could not order a tent for inclement weather 3 days before the event as told to us by another employee when we signed our contract. She said she trains all the employees so she knows someone would not give us false information....sooo basically calling us liars? Poor customer service. My husband and I used Camelot for our wedding this past June at Ehrman Mansion. When evaluating vendors we came down to choosing between Camelot and Event Masters. We ultimately chose Camelot based on feedback from other vendors that the quality of their rentals was much better that Event Masters. I will say that we were impressed with the quality and finished product that Camelot provided. I was also happy to work with Deisi throughout the planning process, who was professional and accommodating. However, our wedding started late because of Camelot and that casts a shadow on the overall experience. I had a phone call with Deisi two weeks before the wedding at which time she assured me they could meet the agreed-upon timeline. The wedding was supposed to start at 4:30 and didn't start until 5:05 because we had to wait for Camelot to finish putting together farmhouse tables at the reception site. In the grand scheme, 35 minutes isn't a huge deal but I put every ounce of energy into planning this wedding and am embarrassed that my guests had to sit just waiting and wondering what was going on. I am sad to say I wouldn't recommend Camelot for a wedding. It's a once-in-a-lifetime event that you don't want to risk these issues with. read more

I opted to not due delivery I recall it not being practical and a lot of cash. We got married in Graeagle, Ca which is north of Truckee. I showed up and loaded everything with my truck an trailer. Seamless. Everything was as expected on work order. I did have 3 broken glasses which the damage waiver covered; however somehow I lost a chair. The damage waiver doesn't cover lost just damage. To me that's one in the same but ok. They ended up charging me 54$ for the chair. Not that they should be giving out items for free but when you have a customer spend just over a grand hook them up! But I guess I should have just not lost the damn chair. I would recommend Camelot for any rental needs in the greater Reno area. Cheers. read more

We didn't end up using Camelot for our wedding because it was too difficult to get a straight answer from their staff. I emailed specific questions to them which went unanswered. I asked again a number of times but still couldn't get an answer. In particular, I wanted guidance on what lighting had worked at the venue in the past, because they had done many events there before. They just told us that we had to take the measurements and give them a diagram of what we wanted. Not helpful at all, even when I said again that we really would like some input from them as they have the experience, not us. If you know EXACTLY what you want then they might be fine for you. If you want someone that will actually listen to you and provide some expertise and guidance then Camelot is not the company for you. read more

I have used Camelot for two major events in my life in the last year: my father's memorial (35 people) and my Commitment Ceremony (125 people). They did an amazing job for both events. The first was a delivery and pick up at the site which was done on time and efficiently. Everything we ordered was there and nothing was broken. The second event we did the pick up and drop off and again had excellent service with help loading and unloading. If you are throwing a big party, this is the way to go for your table settings and service items for sure. The glasses are also a big help. Best of all, you don't have to wash up, 'cause they do it for you!
