Part of the Wicked Wine Tours - this was our second stop. The estate is small and cozy. The tasting room is designed and decorated in the theme of the medieval times. Our group of 10 was enough to fill the space comfortable. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. About an ounce pour which seems to be the standard around the Okanagan area. This was the only place on our tour that offered crackers to cleanse the palette. We bought a bottle of the reserve Merlot ($34.90) which they do not offer a tasting/glass - blind faith!

The food was also, complex, delicate, and thoughtful, accompanied by flexible wine pairings, which gave us an opportunity to test five of their wines, all terrific. The server here was also terrific, and saved us a trip to the tasting room by letting us sign up for the wine club right there. It's very flexible, just asking for three purchases a year, so we made the first right then, and I selected wines for a case that she even carried to our car.

My biggest fumble was not taking a picture of the tomato tart that was honestly the highlight of the entire meal. Major kudos to the team behind this dish. We didn't go for the Chef's Tasting menu but were perfectly content with the Terrace Dining menu. Service was impeccable and we felt extremely welcomed. Only downside to the experience was the fact that the wines weren't that amazing. Mostly because of the deep freeze that forced wineries to import from elsewhere. Ice wine from Mission Hill is still amazing. Still, the food, service, and ambience made up for this small hiccup! Will most definitely be back and Mission Hill will be our go-to recommendation spot for our friends!

THE BLACK AND WHITE: This was our second to last winery before we called it quits for the night. We came in wanting to try some more okanagan pinot noirs and we got them! They gave us a sparkling pet nat to try as we were walking in which was nice. The pinot noirs here in the classic tasting were alright. One was very light and the other was heavy and leathery. For bonus pours, we tried their late harvest riesling which had that petrol taste profile that I weirdly like. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Great staff and service, however the wines were alright. A tasting was $10 for four pours. Very affordable and would recommend to try at least once.

We dropped in on a Friday evening with 6:30pm reservations. There's a heritage room and a couple small tables outside to do tastings. We did ours in the latter. Service was incredibly friendly and sweet. Tasting fee varies ($10.00 to $20.00) based on four flight options but each includes three pours. We opted for the classic ($10.00). It's also worth mentioning that only $5.00 of the fee goes toward a bottle purchase. - 2017 Organic old vines pinot - a blend that was light in flavour. - 2016 Old vines riesling - 2018 Organic pinot noir - smokey and medium tannin. - 2020 Organic ruby pet nat - we were given a bonus sample. This was actually one of their natural wines we were hoping to try. Turned out to be our favourite. A touch fizzy and notes of blueberry. We debated getting a bottle ($30.00). Decent wines at SV but we enjoyed the organic wines more out in West Kelowna.

Parking is weird as you have to park next to the building but there's no dedicated parking spaces. THE BLACK AND WHITE: Driving up, it was weird not having a place to park the car, so we just parked at the side of the building. The dogs are nice and playful around the property. Heading into the winery, we had these cute lil wine glasses and the tastings were 5 pours. There were a few grapes that I didn't recognize like the Siegerrebe, but was actually pretty decent. The pinot noir and bubbly was great. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for 2 tastings was $20 CAD. Lots of experimentation here and I'm onboard for it.

The Woops wine label is designed upside down, which is really fun, and it tastes great too. Phoenix was full-bodied and tasted really good. I also liked the Gewurztraminer for its well-balanced fruit flavors and sweetness, and the Wolf Song for its buttery taste. We also purchased their original wine glass. Thank you for a pleasant experience, Daniel! Of all the wine tastings I did over the weekend, these ones were pretty good. I don't buy into the whole pyramid structure and however they use that in their winemaking process. However, I will agree that they make really good reds and dessert wines. The Cesar salad would have been amazing if it wasn't drowning in dressing rendering it inedible. (The charge was removed from our bill - service 10/10). The warned olives were a lovely appetizer. The mushroom pizza - not great at all. My other 2 lunch guests also agreed this one would get a pass on our next trip to Kelowna I had high expectations for a fantastic lunch - the food could use some brightening up.
