My 2016 MacBook Air stopped working. I took it in for a diagnostic assessment. No charge! Barb was very helpful in getting the process started. The technician kindly explained the problem and provided a quote for replacing the logic board. Given the age of my laptop, it made more sense to replace it. Ben was forthcoming about my options and the pros/cons. They were able to transfer all my data and pictures. And gave me a recommendation for backing up my data as I didn't want to use the cloud. My first time going here was to get a Christmas gift for my brother. I wasn't aware of all the different things the have for cameras and computers. Luckily for me a couple of weeks later, I needed to get some accessories for my video camera. What's important for any retail store is giving great service. Each time I've walked there's someone sitting at their front desk, and I must have a lost look on my face as they ask me if I need help, and boom! they have answers to my questions. I ended up buying a couple of the things that I needed. Woohoo! Before going to any big chain store, I'm going to stop here first as I know I'll get better service and it's important to support your local stores! read more

I have been working with Macs for years. When my MacBook Pro had problems, I contacted Apple and found out there was a licensed affiliate who could take a look and figure out what was going on since I still have AppleCare. This establishment was the closest to me, and came recommended, so I decided to give them a whirl. When I arrived, I was surprised by the 'superstore/showroom' feel of their business layout, and a little shocked that they have both a concierge desk and then a separate receptionist for their computer techs. I told them I was there to see a tech named John, and watched the girl put a lot of unnecessary masking tape all over my external hard drive and my laptop adaptor, which doesn't even need tape in the first place. When John finally deigned to have me go back to his cube or whatever it is, a blast of bad alternative rock hit me in the face, and he got to work, poking around and not acknowledging I even existed. This went on for a good 30 minutes until he woke up from his coma and realized I was sitting right there with no clue what was going on. I left that day under the impression he had to order some hardware and that it would be finished in a couple days. That came and went with no communication, and then he called to tell me that the hard drive was messed up. After some consulting with a friend, I opted to go pick up my computer, yet when I called him, he acted like I was making something out of nothing and it would be just fine. I was stupid enough to say all right see what you can do, and left it with him under the impression he might be able to get some pictures back for me. He couldn't do anything, so I decided I would rather just keep my original hard drive and try to get something out of it in the future with my hard drive. Simple enough right? After he wasn't able to get it to work, he encouraged me to lie to AppleCare and tell the people there a friend of mine was able to get their hard drive back, so I would get mine, because apparently he is too lazy, as I found out, to follow the proper protocol for me to retain the original drive in hopes I can get some things back later. I'm thankful that he's lazy, since he apparently ran only 2 programs. He told me it was $115 an hour, which is an ungodly amount, even for technical specialty work. Hell, I have a master's degree in photography and it would have to be insanely specialized work for me to feel like gouging someone for that much money. Come on, folks. Fast forward to a week or so later, I hadn't heard much and finally called Apple again to see what was going on. I let then know that I hadn't gotten my computer yet, and they contacted him to iron out some idiotic details, like telling him to just replace my hard drive there instead of shipping it off for repairs. He complied and called me very late Thursday afternoon telling me I could pick it up, but he wouldn't be there Friday because he's on vacation. My dad picked my computer up, as I was scheduled to work maybe 40 minutes from the time he called, and when I was finally able to get into it, I found he left his own personal login info taking up admin space, and I can't do anything but hem and haw about trying to use my $2500 17 inch brick that has worked flawlessly since I purchased it in 2011. Long story short, don't go here. Don't waste your money on their products, whether it's for cameras or a monitor, or even a photo print. Go anywhere, Best Buy, Computer World in Appleton, bob's generic computer store in some guy's basement who isn't even named Bob, just do not go here. You could even drive all the way to the Apple store in Milwaukee and it would be worth your time, these people have no clue what they're doing, and obviously are more interested in money than quality work. read more

Came here on Friday a few weeks ago to shop for a new computer. A 20-something woman greeted me, talked to me about specs, and eventually helped me apply for a credit card which was approved. She was professional and generally awesome. I came back a few days later to spend all that money, but was ignored for 20 minutes by a sales staff that wasn't overwhelmingly busy on a Monday afternoon. The woman who helped me on Friday wasn't there, which is worth noting since she's the only reason the business isn't getting 1 star. I'd leave it at 3 stars, but while I was there I also overheard a lengthy conversation between a sales rep and some parents buying a computer for their daughter who was going to college, and the blatant ignorance of the sales rep and appalling unwillingness to explain what little he DID know was shocking to me, especially when I could even tell that the couple was very unknowledgable and uncomfortable. And I have Asperger's! FOR SHAME. I went to Best Buy as a direct result of the poor service I received at Camera Corner. read more

I have been to this store on 2 other occasions without an issue, have even rcommended them to others. Today, a different story. I went there between 9-930 am. I was the only customer in the store. I needed the battery replaced on my iPhone. Went to the service desk. The first thing I was told by Taylor was,we work by appointment only. Ok, I didn't make an appointment, didn't know I needed one, the first 2 times I was there, without an appointment, I was waited on and serviced immediately by a nice, friendly staff. One of those times, I had the battery replaced in an iPhone. I tried to explain to Taylor that I didn't know I needed an appointment. She kept interrupting and talking over me. Wouldn't listen to a word I said. Then another girl showed up and told me in so many words I could wait over 2 hours or go to the Apple store, my choice. When I mentioned the Apple store was over 100 miles away. she repeated, my choice. Then a whole goup of people began to surround us, men and women. I felt like they were trying to intimidate me. One of them actually told me to be nice. What kind of customer service is this. Taylor, also, said they are not an Apple dealer but an Apple reseller! Do I care? No, I just want the battery in my phone replaced. Like one of the other reviewers said the only reason they are there is because there is no competition in the Green Bay area. Worst customer service I have ever experienced and the rudest. If I ever need to service any apple product again, I will drive to the apple store 100 miles, away. It would be worth saving the aggravation of dealing with this awful store. My Choice. They not only have lost my business but anyone I might have recommended. Don't go to this store, simply awful. Oh yea, price of battery went from 80.00 to 130.00!! read more

I've always had great customer service whether buying cameras or computers even the photo are has been great. Needed some help with my MacBook and backing up my photos. The hard drive was full and it gave me errors about being corrupted. Eric was great he spent a significant amount of time with me making sure everything was right. My photos are safe. My wife bought me an 11-inch MacBook Air here two years ago...It's been a great computer, so great I wore through a couple of keys. Apple Genius Bar in Chicago replaced them but one still came loose. Took it to Camera Corner which replaced the key and ran diagnostics on the computer, cleared out a lot of stored gmails and found a bunch of free storage space for me. My husband went to Camera Corner at least once a week, he had a very expensive camera and he passed away suddenly. I contacted them thinking they would help me with how to use the camera, mind you I don't want and hour or two lesson, just some quick pointers. I went to set up an appointment and asked if there was a charge, and she said yes $1 minute with 15 minutes minimum, really, my husband spent thousands (literally) there and out of courtesy you can't even show me how to work the camera he bought there.
