When I got to my appointment I was told that unless I was willing to "double wrap" my belly and have X-rays taken I would have to reschedule for after I gave birth. I offered to have my recent X-rays sent over from my previous dentist and was told that would not work, it is their policy to only do exams if they do their own X-rays. When I asked why I was told "it's just our policy" I was not given any logical reason for this policy but was instead asked why I could not schedule for after the birth "don't you have someone who can watch the baby?" This is an inappropriate question for many reasons. I continued to press for an answer as to why they couldn't clean my teeth today since I have very recent x rays available and at that point the hygienist got rude and suggested I just go back to my previous dentist. The policy is obviously so they can bill insurance for the X-rays. Money is their top priority; the way I was treated shows that they care very little about their customers

I was started off by welcomed in by a friendly receptionist, who took my name and asked me to keep seated. My first impression of this establishment was pleased, the landscaping in the amount of detail that has gone into this place should be commended. Once I got seated, because I was a new patient, I had to get an x-ray done. I cannot remember the name of the person who was taking care of the x-ray, but I was consistently asked and checked up upon to make sure that I was comfortable and feeling my best. This goes a long way. Next, Leah, the hygienist, came in and polished my teeth and did it with precision, the amount of detail that went into her work definitely shows and I want to make sure that she receives recognition for that. Lastly, I was greeted with a doctor, Dr. D, if I can recall correctly, and as someone who is looking for a TL;DR, I greatly appreciate his conciseness, and building a plan to get everything taken care of. I cannot recommend this place anymore, and if I have any family members or friends were looking for a dentistry that demonstrate so much care, I will be definitely sending them here.

We are an active military family, and we have been stationed here three times. We just moved back to the area recently, and I had been putting off dental work for years because we weren't here, so now that we are back, I have been trying to get numerous things done over the past two months and I am SO proud to say that I had 3 fillings over the past two weeks (2 separate visits) and NO VALIUM needed!! The entire staff treats me so very nicely and they are very encouraging without ever making me feel like a big baby or like I am silly to be nervous. They understand my anxiety and they all work with me to help me feel relaxed and welcome. I have seen both dentists here and I really really recommend both. The hygienists and the office staff, and techs are all super nice and make every effort to make sure you are called by name and they are very accommodating as far as re-schduling when they have a cancelation so you can get in there and get the work done. I have had an emergency crown done in there twice and both times they were wonderful. There are many dentists here in Fayetteville, but my recommendation is this office because I have had 17 years experience as a patient and they have exceeded any expectation I have had. I asked for antibodics but was told no, go to urgent care or emergency. I expained that I already had gone to urgent care and they told me to contact a dentist as they are not dentists. I think the doctor is veryu good at what she does but to not take a patient who has an emergency??? Come in 20 minutes early, stay late for an emergency but do not blow them off. I found another dentist who put me on antibodics and will work on the tooth when the abscess has subsided. I will never go to her again!

BEWARE OF OVER-DIAGNOSIS - RECOMMEND SEEKING SECOND OPINION…read more For context - I am a dentist. I don't see my own children, because I work on post and only see Soldiers. My son was referred to this practice from a general dentist in our area due to some very minor cavities that were questionable, and one cavity that definitely needed a filling. When my son arrived at the pediatric practice, the only type of x-ray taken was a pano (the type that goes around your whole head) which anyone who works in dentistry knows - SHOULD NOT BE USED SOLELY TO DIAGNOSE CAVITIES. For that, bitewing x-rays need to be taken. This was not even offered to my wife when she took him there (when I called and spoke with Dr. V, he said that he didn't even offer to take them because "everyone says no.") We certainly would have said yes. Based on the referral from the other dentist that said "evaluate patient's molars and treat as needed." Dr. V took it upon himself to look at the Pano and from a non-diagnostic tool, diagnosed EIGHT STAINLESS STEEL CROWNS on all of my son's posterior teeth!! My wife called me and said this is what my son needed - to which I replied no he absolutely does not (as I had already seen the X-rays from the other dentist with very minor cavities.) My wife did not tell Dr. V or his staff that I am a dentist. Thank goodness that I am - as I realized how bogus this treatment plan was. We took my son to another local pediatric dentist, who did a full work up, including the proper type of radiographs and simply recommended a couple of small fillings! Confirming that the original treatment plan offered by this other guy was a gross example of over-diagnosis. I called and left a message for Dr. V to give me a call, and when he did he called me arrogant and defensive for taking the position of this being over diagnosis. I simply wanted to point out to him, that as a fellow dentist, I would recommend that in the future - he take his own radiographs to form a proper diagnosis and not simply go off of a referral and a non-diagnostic Pano. He repeatedly asked me if I was a "pediatric dentist" as if that is a requirement in order to recognize cavities in primary (baby) teeth. I promise, I'm not the type of person to leave a review online unless I truly feel like the public needs to know something. Please consider seeking a second opinion if anything seems fishy with your child's treatment plan.
