I've been suffering from chronic back pain for over 13 years now and have seen physical therapists, done yoga, acupuncture and chiropractors with different emphases. I was introduced to Dr. Cameron fairly recently and was blown away by his precision with targeting the specific areas requiring serious help. I began seeing Dr. Fort 14 years ago while he was still a student at Life Chiropractic College West. Over the years, he has effectively and successfully treated my wrist, neck, shoulder, and back pain for repetitive strains and sports-related injuries - as well as providing general "tune-ups" - through manual adjustments, Active Release Therapy (ART), The Activator Method, and Functional Movement Taping. In 2015 Dr. Fort treated my shoulder after I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve, acute bursitis, and rotator cuff tendonitis. When I walked into his office the extreme pain radiated down my arm, my fingers were numb, and I was unable to lift my arm much past my waistline. Cameron Fort was recommended to me by Mike Salemi, a professional kettle bell competitor and my boyfriend Jonathan Suarez, a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist. They have known Cameron for around 10 years. I was suffering from foot, groin, low back, mid back & neck pain. The variables of the cause were endless given that I am a personal trainer, I have received chiropractic adjustments that didn't sit well with me and I've had a baby 3 years ago which during the course of pregnancy, I was working in an ergonomically unfriendly environment. There was pain in my mid back and left foot as soon as I got out of bed. There was pain in my low back if I jogged uphill/downhill, twisted while bending or pushed any object while bending. There was pain in my neck if I rested my bodyweight on my forearms (this came from a 14 year old car accident causing whiplash). I am so grateful that a friend (and also my physical therapist) told me about Cameron. He is incredible. The man knows his muscles as well as any highly trained physical therapist or massage therapist. I am very picky and he blows me away. I went to him because I developed Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder), probably due to my thyroid condition. I had tried physical therapy for a few months, but that seemed to only make things worse. I had also tried shiatsu massage, but it didn't seem to make much difference, either. I was totally miserable and in a lot of pain. I will tell you that ART is not for sissies. It will hurt. (Women, remember your Lamaze breathing!). The worst may be the first two sessions. After that, things usually start feeling better. Still painful, but not incredibly so. And it's always great to actually see real progress being made!! Cameron is always mindful of your comfort and pain tolerance. He always asks me if I'm OK and if we need to stop for a few moments or whatever. He is extremely courteous and professional. When I first saw Cameron for my frozen shoulder, I would say that I only had about 50% mobility in my shoulder and arm. Now, after 6 treatments (one treatment per week because I tend to heal slowly), I have almost 100% mobility restored. It is nothing short of miraculous. The only alternative to this would have been an outpatient procedure where the MD knocks you out, breaks up the adhesions, then wakes you up. I thought that would be way too hard on my body and preferred to do this with ART over a number of weeks instead. I am so glad that I chose it. I mean, you always have the option of going to the hospital, but why do that if you don't have to? I highly recommend Cameron Fort to anyone who is looking for a resolution to their pain problems. He is probably one of the most skilled practitioners I have ever seen, and believe me (with my back problems) I have seen A LOT of practitioners! I've been Dr. Fort's patient for about 3 years now. At this point, it's probably easier to pinpoint the body parts that he hasn't worked on. I first came to him with several nagging issues from shoulder and knee mobility to lower back and shoulder pain I've incurred over the years from martial arts training. Through chiropractic adjustments and ART, he's been able to resolve those issues. This guy genuinely cares about making his patients feel better and provides topnotch care, while always with a cheerful demeanor and a smile. Dr. Fort also treated me for a frozen shoulder injury from a minor car accident. What struck me was that instead of fussing over insurance forms before he would begin treating me, his primary concern was getting my shoulder mobility and function back. We eventually did get around to completing the paperwork, and my insurance did cover all the bills for that particular injury. What I will always remember is the level of concern for my well-being he showed at that time, and how he constantly monitored my progress until my injury was a thing of the past. Dr. Fort performed FDM on my ankle within the half hour after I tripped and sprained it. Using this brand new technique, Dr. Fort was able to speed up my healing process and I made a light speed recovery after only one session. I had a sprained hip from excessive exercise and thought I wouldn't be able to run normally again but he was able to work out the tension in my tendons and ligaments there. I went skiing for the first time and ended up spraining my ankle. Luckily nothing was broken however I was still very swollen and quite uncomfortable. Cameron is truly a master at his craft. I can't say enough about him. I have had severe plantar fasciitis, by severe I mean I could NOT walk with out shoes on EVER. I had to wear dansko shoes or inserts ALL the time and even had to buy the orthotic slippers. Running was no longer an option and walking for exercise was pretty much out. I tried EVERYTHING ultra sound shock wave treatments, acupuncture, stretching, ice, golf ball rolling, special sock thing, boot for sleeping... you name it. Cameron through his magic touch (there is a real name for his technique but I can't remember it) was able to get it done in 4-5 sessions. I won't lie his technique was EXTREMELY PAINFUL and luckily he didn't mind the string of obscenities I would scream before, during and after. I would just tell myself it's quicker than childbirth, only a few minutes of pain and then I would feel so much better. I think I worked on this issue for 6-8 months before coming to Cameron and in probably a month or two he had it worked out to a point where I could actually jog a bit!! I am happy to say that now I'm running, on cement, 2-3/ week (not fast or crazy) but I can do it and have NO pain. It has been MONTHS (like 6 or so) and I feel like I'm pretty much back to normal. If you are looking for someone to fix you, go to Cameron. I took a serious fall from a horse and fractured T-1. All the ligaments and muscle tissue surrounding that area were in bad shape. Somedays were so bad I couldn't move my neck to look over my shoulder.
