The Floor Clinic - Finished crazy paver mosaic floors

The Floor Clinic

Gio and Jessica were a joy to work with! I initially found them on OfferUp where I saw pictures of…read morethe mosaic work Gio had done before. I was looking to put "crazy pavers" into my newly screened in patio. Jessica replied quickly and helped me set up a meeting the next day. Gio came by at the promised time and looked at the space, understood my vision and provided great advice. I wanted to source the tiles myself and he and Jessica were understanding and helpful, guiding me on which would work, and offering to help with pick up. After patiently waiting as I searched for the perfect stone, Gio met me at someone's house to look at some marble they were selling. He was helpful in evaluating the stone and getting an amazing deal, and he helped load it all and deliver to my house. He even made two trips to get all of the stone. Gio was true to his word, showed up on time, and finished the job in three days. He is committed to excellence and made sure everything was to our expectations. He has forty years of experience and it shows. If you want a true professional who takes pride in bringing your vision to life, choose the Floor Clinic! I'm glad I chose Jessica and Gio. I feel I got incredible value for the amount I paid. My floors are timeless and will increase the value of my home. Their communication is very strong. Gio delivered exactly what we were looking for, going the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect, even coming back to fix a hazardous step a few days later for free. Thank you! We are looking forward to enjoying the beautiful floors for years to come.

Gio was not the least expensive option, but he was more knowledgeable than the other service providers I spoke with about the repair. One area of improvement could be better communication on matching grout color prior to installation. Other than that no real issues and I would use his services again for any tile project.

Nathan's Carpet

Nathan's Carpet

Jorge and his team are fantastic! I am a property manager so it's important for me to have clear…read morepricing and timing. Jorge made everything very, very easy in addition to providing excellent pricing! I typically go with an LVP from Home Depot, but for just a few cents more per square foot, he provided access to a far superior product. Jorge started and ended on time and the installation was perfect. The team forgot one small item and they had no issue making it right immediately. I could not be happier with the outcome and will be using him again (and again!)

WARNING! WARNING! DANGER!!! DO NOT HIRE!!! DO NOT TRUST! My…read morecompany hired Nathan's Carpet and we regret the moment we met the owner, Jorge. He ran over to our job site and GUARANTEED that he had a competent team of installers that could do the 1600 sq. ft of commercial carpet installation and the 1300 sq. ft. of commercial sheet vinyl installation for our client. He talked a big game about how "experienced and professional" his crew was. But he needed the money right away in order to secure this amazing team of installers because they were" SO BUSY." The day after we gave him the initial deposit, we tried to reach him and he had "gone on vacation to Italy." At no point BEFORE we gave him the SUBSTANTIAL deposit did he ever tell us that he would be gone for almost 3 weeks. Well, that should have been A HUGE RED FLAG! But we made the mistake of trusting him. This was a very time-sensitive installation, as the client was only closing their location for 10 days so that we could accomplish all of the flooring, painting, custom lighting, and custom cabinet installations. The floors had to be done first, of course. The day before the installation, of course Jorge answered the phone. He expected that next payment the following day. He told us his guys would be at the site "tomorrow morning at 9am." They showed up at 11:45am, but only after we were forced to drive over an hour to confront someone at their warehouse and pressured them to call Jorge "in Italy" for an answer. He refused to tell us who would be in charge at the installation. He went to Italy and left a group of men with zero guidance. Needless to say, the installation was a mess! There were jagged edges, carpet lifting, glue EVERYWHERE, and even an ENTIRE 15 FOOT LENGTH OF FLOORING that was missing carpeting! Who does that??? Nobody bothered to check to see if the carpet was actually completed. But they made sure to send videos of the "completed work" and Jorge IMMEDIATELY came out of hiding to pressure us to pay the balance. The guy that took the video was, literally, speed-walking through the location. It was actually comical. Until we saw the installation. Thankfully, we refused to pay until we had the chance to go to the site the next day. That's when we discovered the mess. We had PLENTY of carpeting to have completed the installation. This was just the first example of the LACK of honesty, professionalism, expertise, and leadership. The vinyl installation was, and IS, the most horrific BUTCHER JOB we have ever seen. Neither Jorge nor any of his installers performed the MANDATORY MOISTURE TESTS that are an INDUSTRY STANDARD for installing over concrete. Although he LIED to us and told us that he had, we later discovered his lie when several areas started bubbling and lifting within 2 days of installation. He did not perform the test. His installer butchered the vinyl, left it with huge gouges, glue was everywhere, and now almost half the vinyl has lifted or has been compromised in one way or another, thanks to the irresponsible and careless owner of Nathan's. The installer was the first person to reveal to us that the prep work was done incorrectly, as it would have also required a self-leveling product to prevent the bunch of pebbles that are now protruding through the vinyl. Not to mention the bubbling and lifting. We are now faced with having to pull up the entire floor and replace the disaster his crew left behind. We actually had Jorge come to the site to see the mess because he insisted that we had to give him "another chance." The installer did come back and ended up making it worse. He peeled back the vinyl and tried to reinstall over the improperly-prepared floor. And even MORE bubbling happened within 24 hours. It's a disaster! Of course, Jorge is nowhere to be found now because that's his M.O. He hits and runs. Nathan's Carpet should not be in business. He will talk a big game, take your money, and absolutely disappoint you. He will not deliver quality work because he is incapable of it. By the way, we hired 2 FORENSIC FLOORING EXPERTS to assess the installation and to confirm what was causing the vinyl to bubble and lift. Both gentlemen (from 2 different companies) confirmed and concluded that the preparation was not done properly and that the entire floor needed to be lifted because STEP ONE had been done incorrectly and that caused the domino-effect disaster. We have emailed, called, and texted him but he has GHOSTED us. He lies and has taken our money. Do NOT HIRE THIS MAN OR HIS COMPANY. We are suing him, of course. He has already been sued by another customer and ORDERED by the Court to pay her, but he has refused to pay her. This is PUBLIC INFORMATION as that client also posted her story on the internet. Just look up "Complaints against Nathan's Carpets." Or you can go to the Miami-Dade Clerk's website and search Civil cases with his name, Jorge Braschi. You will see that we are not lying. DO NOT HIRE HIM OR HIS COMPANY.
