Chicken, caprese, onion and cheese and beef empanada
Kaya G.

I have been ruined for empanadas! I can't give a full review on food but that's all we ate. The place is super cute and reminder of a small European cafe. Menu in Spanish, but pretty easy to figure out. Pounds of dough batter was being mixed in a mixer attesting to the freshness and deliciousness of the food. So good.

Very cute lil place and I feel like the owner is always there lol

What I can say is that the COLADA and Media Lunas they have are SOOOOOO GOOD! I suggest the spinach empanadas and the onion and mushroom if you're into that.

3 empanadas for $8.99 from left- Spinach, Beef, Cheese & Onion

Little piece of La Boca in Miami. Quality, price and atmosphere. I need to try Sunday's pizza night.

I meant to take photos but it got crazy when people started eating and swooning. Do not think twice about ordering this Rum Cake. It easily served 16 people. Next time I may buy 2 because I thought they were going to turn on me when the cake ran out!

Nothing I had tried after hers quite met with the same freshness, quality, FULL FLAVOR (vanilla & rum), consistency, and texture. The "commercial cruise ship brand" was the closest to my friends, but still not as good, fresh, or flavorful and didn't have the moisture if the rum oozing. A few months ago I searched and found Jasper Tasty Cakes in a web search. They are not too far away from where I was at the time so I took a chance. Upon calling, the man was polite and cordial on the phone, the turn around time was fast and the end result was nothing less than AMAZING. The traditional rum cake was better than anything that I have ever had. I have not met its match since. I am now coming up on another event and need one of these great rum cakes. It will be the best on the dessert table again and will be gone in minutes. I probably should order 2 -- one for the event, one for keeping at home to enjoy.

I ordered a bandeja paisa, and the steak and the egg were perfectly cooked. The pork belly was sliced and not one piece, which is unusual, but I think that is how Venezuelans eat pork belly. It was all great and tasty, one of the best bandeja paisas I have had anywhere. Service was also really good. I walked into an empty restaurant and ordered at the counter without knowing this was a regular table service restaurant. I still got served with a smile. The staff is super nice. I am definitely coming back.

I also ordered the arepas with queso and avocado, and they were amazing -- packed with fresh avocado and plenty of cheese, not skimpy at all. For dessert I had the tres leches, which was rich, moist, and absolutely delicious. I paired it with a mango drink with sugar, which was refreshing and the perfect sweet finish to the meal. I left completely stuffed and honestly it was worth every penny. Great flavors, generous portions, and really satisfying food. If you're craving authentic Latin comfort food done right, this place is definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend!

We ordered a large black coffee and a large breakfast pizza. The breakfast pizza comes with eggs your way (poached, scrambled, over easy, medium or hard), choice of cheese (cheddar, swiss, smoked provolone or mozzarella) and a meat or a veg. We opted for over medium, smoked provolone and mushrooms. The pizza took a while to be ready and it was worth the wait! Deliciously crispy and smoky, enhanced by their real wood fired oven! It was a true delight! The coffee was fantastic as well. We had it black, the true test of coffee greatness, and Alaska's house roast passed the test with flying colors! Add in a pleasant dining room and friendly service, and this is a true 5-star experience!

While the service was super friendly and the coffeehouse/pizza shop vibe was pleasant ( loved the jazz music), the dish itself was a 4 out of 5. The Hollandaise was watery and lacking in the flavor department. The ham was just OK. For a premium price, a bit disappointing That all being said, it just might not be their best dish. The avocado toast looked amazing. I'll try this place again, if only to explore the amazing looking items in the bakery case.
