He was not trained to confirm the details about the amount of my return. Unfortunately I was only given back the value of 60 % the cost of the item online and 50% of the cost in store. The month before this I had placed an online order that never arrived so part of my purchase was using a credit, but not the kind of credit that requires a minimum purchase. So I asked if I could exchange the item instead and he called a manager who was not interested in even listening and she called some 800 number and handed the phone to me. If the employee had confirmed the amount of the return I would have been able to do an exchange, but his failure to do that cost me money. And the manager was unwilling to cancel the return so I left without my pencil sharpener and lost the credit that they gave me for failing to deliver my order. This is not a lot of money, but i expent cashiers to be competent and I expect managers to train them. The store manager was awful, did not care about the customer and took no responsibility for running the store.

I had bought my wife a birthday present to be delivered by DHL. A fun personal present. I told our wonderful post guy Josè if he ever comes across a box please put it at the door. Sure, he says with a nice big smile. After the third email confirmation that DHL had given it to usps to deliver... I thought oh no. The email said it was delivered and no one had it. So, I called the Solana Beach PO and Joaquin talked me down. "Peter, we will find it." Truly cared. Well, a day later after Joaquin called again and said Josè is on it . Next day it was delivered to my door with a big smile. "We found it!" Wow! Great great service! A day later, happy wife and a follow up call from the PO to make sure I'm good!!!!
