My kids still like the things here. They have jelly, cats and Nee doh plus many other things that adult children love also All purchases include a complementary gift wrap. Hear me out, ok? Nothing is better than putting two clowns with ADHD in front of a massive bin of Wigglitz. My friend and I were in the area and decided hey, why not stop in here to see what they had. Massive variety of toys at very good price points, I'd say. We were wandering around when we stopped in front of this bin of wigglitz. We decided to check it out and just play (pick out which ones we wanted to buy) with some of the wigglitz, for a bit. Tell me why we ended up standing there for over 20 minutes, trying incredibly hard not to buy the entire bin. :) We got our goodies, got distracted with a bunch of other cool looking things in the shop, then paid and left but LOL (Positively) Dangerous place to take the kids (and young adults too, I guess), might end up buying a bunch of stuff from the shop. Super cute toy store! I don't usually visit toy stores anymore, since shopping online or Amazon is so easy now, but we were here to grab lunch at Sky Deck. After lunch the toy store was packed and hubs suggested we go in there and take a look. I thought ok, still needed to pick up a gift for my nephew. Personally I loved all the ridiculously cute tiny stuffed animals, but I was not there to shop for me. The tiny penguin and little hedgehog.... OMG adorable! My nephew loves to build things - especially with Legos, but already has a ton of Legos, so I wanted to get him something different. The shop was jam packed full of goodies of all kinds of things, stuffed animals, toys for babies, adults, puzzles, science stuff, and more! We ended up getting a set that he can build different types of robots. Staff were friendly and they offer free gift wrapping, but don't remove the price tag, only black it out with a pen (but you can still kinda see the price) reason being, it's how they process a return if the gift was no longer wanted. Love an authorized distributor of Smiskis for their reasonable prices! Had great pulls, and got one secret Smiski (not pictured, it was the headphones Hipper). Detracting one star, because it's begun a gambling addiction to getting more Smiskis :( Had a very wide selection of Smiskis to get from, but the greedy part of me wishes they had a few more of the collections, like the Sundays one! read more

Used to frequent the location in 4S before they became a boxing gym. This location is always busy and has all the toys a child can imagine and more. It's easy to get in and out from and items are reasonably priced. This time around my son wanted a police car. How fitting was it that they charged $5.0 for it!? Gepettos is the best toy shop around! They have everything for any child (or child at heart). Prices are a little on the higher end but overall reasonable and they offer free gift wrapping and punch cards on purchases which can be redeemed for money off future purchases. Staff was helpful at assisting with ages & presents. They also are very lax about kids playing and trying out toys. Def recommend! read more

Very cute store but no doubt you are paying for branding here. I was browsing toys on their website last night. One toy -$29.99 but less than $12 at Target for the same exact toy. I was checking out the jelly cats with my friends, there was no worker behind the cash register and the man working who was elsewhere came over and made a rude snarky comment rather than asking us politely to move since it was a work station. He said, "You shouldn't be here it's a work area, it's like kind of being behind a bar" in a rude tone and waved us away. Very poorly trained employees. I purchased toys to this store and it's other locations multiple times in the past year and I spent over $600 on gifts, not even a single time they offered me the punch card upon check out which you're supposed to get a for every purchase above $20. It's just today for the very first time I was surprised that this thing exist. When I expressed my concerns, the employee refused to connect me with her manager, and said there's nothing they could do about previous processed even if I show them receipts. Our go to neighborhood toy store for birthday gifts. Here's why-- 1. It's conveniently located. And there are several locations so it's likely conveniently located to the gift recipient in case they want to exchange :). 2. They wrap for free! 3. They have a pretty good selection and staff are knowledgeable about what they carry and are good at pointing you in the right direction. 4. Exchanges are easy as long as the Gepetto's sticker is on the gift. No gift receipt necessary. They are definitely pricier that Amazon. But that price delta also comes with ease of exchange and free wrapping, so I'd say it's fairly priced. Tip - join their email list to receive coupons every now and then. read more

But hugely convenient when you are in need of a last minute gift that starts in a few hours and don't want to run to Encinitas to Target or Wal-Mart for toys! Geppettos has a very good selection of unique and hard to find toys that you pretty much won't find anywhere else aside from shopping online. I do believe that Geppettos is probably one of the last really good toy stores left. I usually stroll in here every Christmas for gifts, which often include stuffed animals, old school board games or just some clever jr engineering games. The service here is always on point and it's never too crowded. The downside is obviously the price, this place is REALLY expensive. Be prepared to pay the price if you want the product, that's for sure but at least it saves you shipping costs... On the flip side to the price, they provide complementary gift wrapping services, which is super convenient for people like me who don't like to wrap. read more

I was looking for a toy store that offered me a bit more to look at than roaming the toy aisles at Target. I was gift shopping for a friend who has 2 small children, and they have a lot of cool toys already and I was looking for something a bit more unique just incase I ended up accidentally choosing something they already had. I also have a 2.5-year-old and was on the lookout for anything irresistible for her, as well. The organization of the store was pretty good. They themed things in a way that made sense, and it was clear where the 1-year-old toys were and I focused on that for my gift shopping. I did roam around a lot looking to see if I could find something neat for my daughter, but alas -- I didn't see much of anything I have not looked at before online. And of course: prices are much, much cheaper online. But it was cool to see some of the stuff in real life. Like the Calico Critters houses and sets, for example. The gift I picked up looked super cool and was well-received by the recipients. I am a cheapskate so I probably won't actually buy anything from here again, but I may browse for ideas. read more

This store is pretty small compared to their other stores but the fact that we can come in and play to kill time with the trains set up in the back of the store- is a big PLUS! Don't get me wrong- we leave with a 'present' OFTEN enough but not every time. The 4-star justification is because there are very few options for smaller purchases. It would be nice if there were a larger selection of less expensive cars (like $1.50 for a matchbox) so that a kiddo doesn't have to have a full meltdown because moms don't want to spend $10.00 each visit. With that said- the staff is super nice, the store manager knows us by name, and we never feel pressured to buy something (another HUGE PLUS). read more

Came here after work to pick up an LOL surprise doll to cheer up my 6 year old daughter who had a bad day at school. I walked in the store and it was empty, except for two workers who failed to greet me or acknowledge my presence. I circled through the store for quite awhile before finding the dolls, and no one bothered to ask if they could help me find what I was looking for. When I approached the cash register to pay, someone finally realized I wasn't invisible, and helped me with the transaction.
