The place is perfect size, enough seating area, menu is on wall and easy to read. My daughter and I were in town looking for something new to try and this place definitely hit the spot. This is a perfect lunch spot. They have food out fast, even while they were in lunch rush. Broth for quesabirrias had good flavor and not greasy like some can be. Torta was very good and delicious, nothing fell apart. Pupusas had carnitas in there, not really used to carnitas in Pupusas's. They were good, but not the favorite from the food we ordered. I would stick to the cheese Pupusas's next time. Overall we loved the place and next time will be trying their breakfast. read more

Food is okay,had the nachos, chilaquiles, and pupusas. For being quick and friendly not bad but the pupusas were not the best. The masa was still very doughy and the meat had no flavor, the sauce to accompany it was just chip salsa. Would still go and recommend the place but not my top pick. read more

First time eating at this establishment as it's sort of obscure in its location. It wasn't until I was right at the door that I saw where it was. It's a small location that is attached to a coffee shop called The Blend. It's right in between a Dry Cleaners and The Blend. The food is delicious. I had the special of the day, the quesabirria's, which were amazing! My sister had a grilled chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. All food regardless of take out or dine in is served in plastic take out containers. While the food is delicious, the portion sizes are on the small size. For many, their portions will be sufficient. However, if you're used to getting larger portions at other Mexican establishments, you may be disappointed. My sister rated her meal an 8 and I rated mine a 9. Great flavor!! The decor is bright and lively. I noticed some trash and bits of food on the floor which may just be remnants from the lunch crowd (we arrived at 1:30), but this, along with the smaller portions is the reason I didn't give 5 start. read more

A pretty decent Tex-Mex restaurant with a menu with quite a few options to choose from. My coworker and I stopped by on our way from Charlotte to Raleigh, and we ordered the Matador Omelette and the Chicken Chimichanga with fruit drinks. They were pretty good and tasty! The restaurant is located in a big shopping plaza with a free parking lot with a lot of spaces. It's easy to find. Not bad at all! read more

It is very nice to have Mexican food/Salvadoran food with such authentic dishes. This place was fast, well priced and delicious. We got Carne asada tacos, Carne asada Torta. For the Salvadoran dish, we got carnitas and cheese pupusas. I think this place has a little fusion going on but it doesn't take away from how good it is. We were on a long road trip a couple days after Thanksgiving, and traffic was horrendous with accidents every 30 miles. Dinnertime approached and I was irritated and hangry. We took an exit in Thomasville as yet another car accident was backing up traffic according to Google Maps. We like to eat local and as fate would have it we pulled into a random parking lot, and there stood El Camino Express. It's a small hole in the wall type of eatery with ample parking outside. You walk into a bright white decor with black lettering, food counter to your right and a long dining room ahead. All the decor highlighted that this restaurant supported the community and provided a local farm to table type of eats. We knew at this point we hit GOLD! They had several folks coming in and out for takeout food, but we were the only ones dining in. Looks like most interstate travelers are bypassing this gem! Anyway, we ordered ACP, Taco kids meal, and Chicken Tinga Birria Tacos. Everything was phenomenal! The Chicken Tinga Birria Tacos were not on the menu, but I asked if they could use Chicken instead of beef and they happily obliged. They were packed with a savory light spice flavor, and the dipping sauce made the dish even more epic. I've been raving about this place to my friends ever since that day. El Camino Express was the highlight of my 10 hour road trip and a welcomed bright spot that addressed my hanger issues lol. If you are driving through Thomasville, make it a point to visit this landmark without fail! read more

Fresh as it could be. This is not fast food. It is fresh made to order with love and care. The sopes were wonderful. But the stand out for me was the Burrito Texanas. It was full of meats and peppers and onions and had cheese sauce and more than enough for a big eater. I even went back to it later and ate it cold, still delicious. Sergio puts heart and soul into his food. I'm a huge fan and since i frequent Thomasville often, i will be a constant patron. I promise to take more photos in the visits to come.(I was really hungry) Bonus: You can get fabulous coffee, lattes and such at The Blend in the same space. I have had their chicken quessidilla 2 times and my husband loves their burritos. Great food. The chicken is fresh cooked and has great flavor. If you take out... whatever thry cook the quessidilla in it is. Little moist when you open it. Not grease but probably whatever they use with the chicken. Love this small restaurant beside a coffee bar. They have a similar menu to Chipotle but everything is made to order in about the same time it takes at Chipotle and your food is cooked by a chef. We have eaten there 4 times and the food is consistently excellent. On one of the trips I ordered something close to one of their specials but expected to pay the "non special" price since it was not the special but the chef charged me the lower price without being asked to. Great food, great service, great integrity. Camino is worth a try, and for coffee lovers you can get a cup of coffee next door without going outside. read more
