Answering the phone.. I'm like, "I'd like to place an order." And they say, "what is it?" Their customer service is always rude, been there multiple times with the same attitude.. food is great, but they could be trained a little better.. arriving at the take out window and they never greet you, bluntly just open and say, "what's your number?" Phone service always sounds annoyed. We continue to go because it's right at the house and convenient. Prices are great with good portion of food. First thing to point out is they are super rude!!!! About a year ago they were very rude to my husband and my husband shouldn't have but he did anyway. He stopped by the owners house to tell him about the experience again he shouldn't have but beside the point they have been even ruder to our family since then. But we still out of convenience would order from time to time. Today we ordered some shredded chicken and we always say shredded because we order it often. They gave us chunked chicken and we called to tell them it was wrong. Never ever tell them they did wrong because "customer is always right" doesn't work there. They do no wrong. So they argued that we didn't say shredded when we did. They said we offended them by saying we didn't know what was wrong with their ears but they were offending us by saying we didn't order shredded. So they were basically accusing us of lying. When we got there they attacked my daughter and brought up the issue about my husband coming by their house a year ago and slammed the window in our face when we tried to talk it out with them. My children and mother in law went there last weekend and took my uncle which has cerebral palsy. He always has to get a to go cup because he can't hold cups very well. When he needed a refill they asked for another to go drink because they didn't want them to have to handle his cup because he slobbers really bad and it gets on the cup. They made them purchase another drink instead of giving him a refill. I guess they should have just let them put their hands on the slobber and take it to refill it. Told us they were going to decline service to us if we ever did it again. I don't know what we did but say that our order was wrong. They dont have to worry we will never be back again to a place that is rude to the whole family that never did anything wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Considered rating 3 stars but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Food was decent (seasoned well but menu seemed limited & and unimaginative) and service was good but overall experience was just lacking. From the general atmosphere to the plastic utensils & styrofoam cups, it was all just ok (and that's ok). It is priced comparably (if not a tad higher) to some of my favorite Mexican places in Greensboro so I guess I just expected more. Glad that it's there so we have another food option at the lake but would like to see them step it up just a little. read more

We absolutely love this place. A short 15 minute drive from DENTON makes it convenient to get to. We've eaten here several times. Food and service always very good. The Mexican shrimp cocktail & Shrimp with spinach are my 2 favorite dishes. Love the variety of side orders. The mushrooms, zucchini and spinach are a nice alternative to high carb rice & beans. They are a nonalcoholic establishment so don't go expecting a margarita. The food and service make up for that. read more

Food is average, fajitas are too oily, salsa is OK. Have not had friendly servers like others said - but beware, they charge too much extra for EVERYthing - the worst part was paying $8 for 2 TINY portions of pico de gallo. I could get a whole lunch for that at most Mexican restaurants. :-( read more

She is super nice and when I was living down there and went practically every day she helped me with Spanish. She is always happy and will bring a smile to your face. My family and I loved when this place first opened. Very convenient as we don't have many other options in southmont. But the service and food have went way down hill. We dined there tonight and order the steak fajitas as we always do. My husband I switched to keto diet and are not able to eat the rice, beans, and tortillas. Therefore, we subbed out the traditional sides for the healthier side options that they had listed on their menu, mushrooms & zucchini. But the menu still says that it comes with pico de gallo and sour cream. When we didn't get our sour cream and pico de gallo, we asked. The guy said no it doesn't come with it. My husband and I were both highly confused. A few minutes later, we said excuse me but we order this to go all the time as well as eat in and we have always received sour cream and pico de gallo. The younger boy waiter began to holler from over by the drink stand that you have to order the regular fajitas. I said uhmm, we did. He said but you changed out your sides. We were like uhh yeah, so? He said you have to get rice and beans in order to get sour cream and pico de gallo. We were like your menu doesn't say this rule. They all huddled around in back where they thought we couldn't see them looking at the menu (we could see them clear as day in the reflection of the windows). The younger waiter, probably 14-16 years of age, is always extremely rude. He has no sense of customer service or respect for the people who are paying to dine in their restaurant. The prices have increased tremendously as well, about $40 for a family of three to eat now and used to eat for around $20. They also have coupons in one of those local books that you buy for $20 and this location is listed for a buy one get one. They refuse to honor it. We will now be driving to town to eat Mexican food rather than coming here anymore. read more

I am on a low carb diet, I ordered a side order of chicken , and some cheese to dip it in. They charged me 8 dollars for the chicken and 4 dollars for the cheese my chicken cheese and tea was 15 dollars. My son asked if that was correct. They got a bad attitude and then ran there mouth about wanting a tip too. I'm not going back . It's a rip off. Don't recommend this restaurant for the money. read more

Only give one star to this place because you can not give a -5. There is a young blonde waitress there that is usually a decent waitress she is the only asset to the place. But if she's not there you better turn around and go home,because the manager and the female Mexican waitress he has on the floor cannot do their jobs properly. I wouldn't go there on taco especially they are overcrowded and only have enough Staff on hand for a general night of slow business. A suggestion to the ownership of this restaurant would be to restaff your entire restaurant except for the young blonde waitress who was actually the only good asset at this southmont store. read more
