The food by itself was a 4+. I had 4 pastor tacos and my son had 3 lengua tacos. Both were very good. I enjoyed a bottled coca-cola made with cane sugar straight from Mexico and my son had a horchata. This is definitely an authentic Mexican restaurant that is somewhat of a dive. The reason I'm giving it a 3 star rating is the price. 7 tacos, a coke, and a horchata was $34 before I left a tip. Food was pricey, but good. read more

Never thought ide leave a review for mexican food im mexican myself but anyways i ordered 2 tortas exactly the same or atleast should of been , one was completely missing toppings , and wasnt cut in half , the asada was terrible no flavor just a thin piece of old meat slapped on bread with 50% lettuce , and the horchata was watered down. Made a second visit to Taco Corner No. 2. Decided to try the Chicharrón Prensado one more time and glad I did. While it still contains some tough strands of meat, the flavor, tenderness and juiciness was so much better than last week. The carne asada taco was decent, tons of meat, but not a ton of seasoning. So grab the salt shaker, lime and a bottle of salsa and you've got yourself a 4 star taco. The rare find on the menu was their Huitlacoche Quesadilla. Mexican food is my go to... I can eat it every day. But in all my years, I have never seen huitlacoche on a menu in the Carolinas. Huitlacoche is a fungus that grows on corn and is considered a delicacy in many parts of the world. It has a smoky, earthy, mushroom like quality to it. That being said, my quesadilla tasted a lot like a mushroom quesadilla. I'm glad I tried it, now I can cross it off my bucket list. They do make a nice horchata here as well. read more

The food was fresh and delicious. I stopped by on a Sunday for lunch since my business is right down the street. Good service for only two servers and a building full of people eating. The place is clean, but fixtures are a little dated. I'll definitely add this to the places I visit for a good lunch read more

I had some some pretty awesome tacos from ol' Taco Corner #2. Definitely not a fancy place, kinda run down looking on the outside and dated, drab and dimly lit on the inside, but the food was 5 Star fantastic. I placed my order to-go, or "para llevar" as you may say here. The tacos are 3 per order and they are bigguns. Each one is made of 2 corn tortillas and enough filling to make a 2nd taco out of that bonus tortilla. I had chicken and barbacoa and both were excellent, tacos are topped with diced onions and cilantro except for the chicken, they are topped with lettuce, tomato and crumbled queso fresca cheese and of course lime wedges on the side. They have a pretty extensive menu of real authentic Mexican food, the ladies in the kitchen definitely know how to cook. I don't get to Thomasville often, but I'll definitely stop here any time I'm near by around lunch time. It's not really noticeable, just a small faded sign by the road....Next Stop??? their other place "Taco Corner #1" which is on Main St in High Point...don't even pay attention to the Bates Motel next door. read more

The food is five stars, authentic Mexican food that most places don't offer. The staff are nice and the restaurant is clean and has plenty of room for seating. The only issue that I've ever had here is with communication. I don't speak a lot of Spanish and placing an order has been very challenging. I spent 5 minutes trying to order my food and they just kept telling me they didn't have my order. I tried to explain that I wanted to order but it got pretty frustrating so I ended up having to drive to the restaurant to place my order, which caused me to be late to my next appointment. But, I like the food so much that I won't go to another restaurant for the authentic food. I hope the management will try to have someone answer that can take orders in both languages. read more

Oh. Em. Gee. I've worked just down the street from this place for years but never tried them until last week. I consider myself a bit of a taco connoisseur, exploring hole in the wall places around the Triad in search of folks who know what they're doing. Taco Corner in Thomasville definitely does. I got an order of Mexican style (cilantro and onions) chicken tacos to go. They were flawless. Plenty of flavor and a decent size for the price. The sauces were great too. Don't be put off by the iffy exterior. The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the sanitation score is encouraging. The atmosphere isn't up to much in terms of dining in but that wasn't an issue for me. I'll be back for sure! read more

Good authentic Mexican food. Always in search of good chorizo tacos and this place has them! Place looks a little old and maybe not so welcoming, but you go in and they are super nice and friendly. Place is clean and smells nice. Only ordered food to go, but look forward to coming in and dining here next time. Update: I have been back to done in several times. Man what a great place! Hey this is the real deal.Some of the best taco's I've ever put in my big 'ol mouth. You know It's real when your the only gringo in the building. You have to be careful what you put in your mouth as to not set it on fire....I would like to tel you the other great dishes, but I can't get past the taco's. This gringo is very happy. Finally somewhere that can approach the sorts of food I used to get in Texas. Considering its in the middle of podunk North Carolina, that's an accomplishment. You know you're in an authentic place when 8 out of 10 customers are Mexican or Latin American. Outside, the place looks like you're going to die while you're here. You won't! Granted , the place has a worn down look to it ( or ambiance as the highbrows would say),but the food that these ladies put out is TOP NOTCH !! Great tacos and friendly folks. The older building may scare some folks off, but the restaurant is clean, and well kept. Portions are large and affordable and very authentic. Love the tacos, huaraches are tasty and filling. Nice green sauce too, lots of tomatillo and not too spicy. read more

I ordered take-out from Taco Corner No.2 today. When I opened the plate I was met with a wonderful aroma. There was a big chicken breast, rice, beans, and a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and jalapeños. There was also a little container of sauce and a foil wrapped stack of four steamed corn tortillas, which, as far as I could tell, were homemade. With my first bite I said, "Wow!" By the third bite I was like, "This is outstanding!" An all-around good blend of flavors. The restaurant was a little low on ambience, but big on customer service.
