I have tried every other doggie daycare in the area, and I can confidently say that Camp Bow Wow is the ONLY one worth sending your fur baby to. I have been taking my dog, Hudson, here for almost three years now, and he absolutely loves it. I can tell the staff genuinely loves him too. He's a bit rambunctious, so I always worry he might be too much, but they always reassure me that he's doing just fine, lol. He gets so excited every time we pull up, and he always comes home happy and full of zoomies before passing out from exhaustion. Hudson has a chicken allergy, and they are great about letting me know what's in the treats. They also have no problem feeding him the food I send with him, and they always let me know if he finished his dinner or not so I know to fed him when I get home. I've boarded him overnight there two or three times as well, and every experience has been pleasant. I've never had any issues and always feel confident that he's in good hands. The facility is very clean, and Hudson never comes home smelling like he's been around other dogs all day, which is a huge plus. The owner, Roman, is incredibly kind, accommodating, and helpful. The entire staff is friendly, attentive, and always takes the time to answer my questions. I also love being able to check in on the cameras and see firsthand how well they care for my baby. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow to anyone looking for a safe, clean, and caring place for their dog. Worst customer service I ever dealt with. Dropped my dogs off at 1:08 (in which I was rudely told I had my time wrong) and was told due to the time I would only be paying for a half day in which I paid up front and was told to pick up my dogs at 6:45. I came back at 6:32 and was charged and extra $32 for a full day. I called to dispute and Roman(?) apathetically told me they will not refund my money due to miscommunication on their end and feel free to write a one star review. My dog Miso (a corgi) loves it here. While you have you have to go for a full day interview to get your dog admitted as a camp member, it is completely worth it as the staff vets aggressive dogs and dogs that aren't socialized in certain settings. The vetting process made me feel safer leaving my dog overnight boarding. Staff members are super nice and they are prompt when you need them to grab your dog in time for pick up. Drop off requires you to have a quick release leash and over night stays are around $79 a night. My dog had a great time and there are tons of cameras that allow you to see your four legged love one having fun all day long. Cameras are not available during the night time when the dogs are sleeping. Areas are split between small and large dogs - there are both indoor and outdoor areas with shade and a pool. I love Camp Bow Wow very much, so does my husband Joe and of course, our furbaby Snoopy-Bear. Yes, there are a few things that bother me, but no where and no one is perfect. Some things need to be fixed, like everywhere however... I know that everyone at Camp Bow Wow truly love Snoopy - this is why I recommend them. Their prices are not expensive and they truly want every fur baby to be happy. Sometimes, when I look at the apps video, I wonder where the Counselor is, however, maybe I cannot see the person because the area they are is not covered by the camera. Yet, I see on those cameras how happy our boy is, flirting with the girl dogs, regardless of the size, and just having a good time. When Snoopy's belly is empty too long, he throws up bile sometimes, so we send him a healthy snack and his din din. Camp always feed him and give him his snacks and make sure that he does not play right away so he does not get bloat. This is so important to us that he gets the care that he needs, especially love. I cannot speak for the person who commented on here about Roman's dog attacking another dog, but I have never seen that happen. Muha is always behind a closed gate and just hangs with her Daddy, Roman. Our Snoopy-Bear is tiny and Roman's baby does nothing. Terrible service and experience! I wish I could give a "0" star overall. We left our poor baby "boxer" 6 months old here last week and he had such a horrible time. They starved him for a whole day because they did not followed the feeding instructions properly and once the food was done , they did not call the emergency contact to let us know, which is absolutely unacceptable!!!! When we got there, they were two employees and one of them was extremely rude and making every excuse in their books trying to convince us that they tried to call us, when in fact neither my husband or I nor our emergency contact got a call. I understand it could happen if you call one phone but all 3 phones that's almost impossible to not get through someone to inform us about the situation. The gentlemen which was not a gentleman at all was not showing any empathy toward our concerns so we decided to not continue the conversation with him and just asked for a manager phone number or email so that we could talk and discuss our concerns. We got the number for an alleged corporate contact but just before we were about to head out we noticed our dog had a huge scratch on a big area missing hair on his neck. He also had a cut on his right ear, all things indicate our dog had been involved in some sort of fight and we were not informed over the phone nor in person when we picked him up. When we asked about what happened they said is just a "hot spot" that he has!! But even if it was a hot spot they were about to let us leave without communicating it to us. We are now checking with our vet to confirm what it is, and they suspect he may be healing from a scratch or bite by another dog. We have had great experience in the past with Camp Bow Wow in South Carolina/North Carolina were we live. I could see on the cameras that they were very overcrowded and my mini Dachshund was getting stepped on by much larger dogs. I had an issue with my pet and they put in the wrong dates. When I dropped off my pet they were confused and didn't have a spot for my pet. It was bs and the owner was saying I screwed up. Found this place in August...it's been a godsend! My two pups love it for both Daycare and boarding. They're very strict with inoculations for all the fur babies, which is wonderful. Camp bow-wow used to be our favorite place to bring our dogs until the owner ROMAN changed. He never really was a people person but he seemed to become a little more arrogant and rude. You could never really voice your opinion because he would never let you finish and HE was always right. He also keeps his dog on the premises and his dog has gone after quite a few of the other dogs including mine yet he doesn't have a muzzle on. I think that ROMAN believes the rules don't apply to to him. He really has got to change his attitude towards his customers. Horrendous experience. Dont bring your dog here. It is unsafe. My 14 year old dog stayed there for 3 days and somehow alone in his "cabin" broke his tail bone And now it has to be amputated. Boarding is vacation time for the doggies. They let the dogs play together the whole day in an indoor and outdoor spaces. The dogs go to their "cabins" or big crates for eating and sleeping. You feel good that you're leaving your dog in a nice place. Live web cams at this location are slow, but they said the system will be updated soon. They're very strict with vaccines, but this is great for all dogs. The interview is 3 hour long, which is also excellent to make sure the dogs are safe together. GROOMING IS AMAZING. My dog always comes home tired and happy. I love that I can check in on him on the live cameras whenever during the day, and that there is always someone in there playing with the dogs and keeping an eye on them. It's great to know he is well cared for while I'm at work! The owner, Roman, made it a point to get to know us and even recommended vets since we are new to the area. The staff has been wonderful and have caught on to my dogs quirks (he needs a small nap in the middle of the day to re-energize!). DETAILED: So grateful for Camp Bow Wow! We needed a great, safe place to keep our four month old (at the time) pup, Hunter. When we first got there, they did an evaluation of his behavior. This is an essential part to your dog's stay! The camp reassures that there will be no aggressive dogs that stay within the camp, ensuring that all dogs remain safe. Also, they take note of your dogs' vaccinations making sure that each dog is up to date. And the facility is cleaned properly every morning to prevent and sickness that could occur. We used the live cams to watch him everyday, and we were able to email and call the camp to get feedback on his stay - to which they replied almost immediately. The workers there took great care of him and made sure that if anything happened (such as scratches - since puppies play too rough at times and accidents happen), we were told immediately. It's like an all day dog park; and after a fun-filled day at camp, he'll come back home exhausted (which is wonderful for us since we'll be extremely tired by that time). The workers there are very attentive and energetic. Every time we drop him off, when one of the counselors come to take him, he's always so excited to greet them. All the counselors took their time to get to know him; and I love being reassured that such loving and caring workers will be watching over our Hunter throughout the day. And if your pup has specific feeding instructions or meds to take throughout the day, the staff will listen carefully and take care of your pup. The cabins are large dens with a cot that will be your dog's bed. We were allowed to leave Hunter with a few of his favorite chew toys and a blanket so we knew he would be comfortable throughout the night as they slept. We even learned that the counselors keep soothing instrumentals on all night to calm the pups that stayed overnight. The camp also provides grooming! After the two week stay at camp before we picked him up, we requested for him to get a nail trimming and bath. After not seeing him for two weeks, it was amazing to be welcomed by an energetic, GREAT-smelling puppy. He had an amazing time there; and the counselors did a great job bathing and brushing him out. I am giving a one star review, because of the owner, Roman. If my dog wrote a review, I'm sure it would be better. She loved going there, and the staff working with her were great. Please read the other reviews Before signing up. You will see many of the negative reviews are about Roman. I have worked in a service industry successfully dealing with customers for 35 years, on a much larger scale than doggy daycare. Roman has no people skills, and does not know the meaning of customer service. Our dog attended Camp Bow Wow for months, when I was late for our half day pick up a particular day. I was told I needed to pay for a full day, as well as for another day my wife had been late a few minutes. I questioned the lateness policy where if you are late one minute for a half day pick up, you are charged for a full day. (We chose to do half days, because the dogs are confined from 4 - 5:30 each day for cleaning of the play areas.). Roman immediately went into a rude tirade, saying "you guys always come to the last minute!" He then kept repeating that I need to set an alarm on my phone to leave earlier for pick up. I told him that the entire road to the camp was closed for road work and I got re-routed into terrible traffic on Route 46. He just continued his rant, and didn't care about a word I said. Instead, he unnecessarily escalated the situation, and eventually retaliated the following day by telling me my dog was no longer welcome. If he had bothered to discuss the situation in a professional manner, he would have found out that me and my wife both come directly from work for pick up, so setting an alarm would be meaningless. Between work and caring for our disabled son, we barely have a minute to spare. Roman needs to LISTEN to his customers, so a resolution can be reached that leaves both parties satisfied. The customer is NOT always right, but Roman should not try to make them feel that they are wrong. Roman also needs to stop disrespecting customers in general. He doesn't even bother to look up from his computer when addressing customers at the front desk. That is rude, and implies that he believes what he is doing is more important than them. Another situation Roman mishandled, was when my dog got Kennel Cough from Camp Bow Wow. Even though I told him that my dog had not been in contact with dogs anywhere else, he still insisted that my dog did not necessarily get sick from camp. When my dog returned to camp, I asked Roman how many other dogs had gotten sick, and he replied "none." I later found out that multiple other dogs had contracted Kennel Cough during the same period my dog was out, and he obviously knew that, so he had lied. If you lie to a customer even once, they will NEVER trust you again. People respect honesty and transparency. They see refusing to take responsibility as a sign of weakness. When I was walking out on the last day I was there, Roman also made a completely inappropriate comment. After having gone there for months, and him telling me we couldn't come back, he said "thank you for giving us a try." This was either a totally immature, sarcastic remark, or it underlines how disconnected Roman is from reality. Negative behavior has consequences. Roman's actions are hurting the reputation of Camp Bow Wow, and driving away customers. Word of mouth opinions spread quickly. Narcissistic behavior and a fragile ego will only continue to hurt business. Roman's biggest obstacle is himself. read more

Camp Bow Wow, "'Where a dog can be a dog'. Your pups will get to socialize and play all day.".....unless that dog has any relation to a Pitbull. It's pretty disgraceful that a pet daycare center, which prides itself on caring for dogs, will continue to keep up the sadly untrue stereotype surrounding the Pitbull breed. My experience with Camp Bow Wow was short and sweet. I called to make a reservation for boarding, and was informed that the dog had to come in for an interview and some sample playtime. Pretty standard practice and makes sense. My puppy gets along super well with dogs and people, so I saw no issue. The appointment was scheduled, and I was happy to have a nice place for my dog to go. Fast forward about 30 minutes, I get a call back saying that they have to cancel the reservation because my dog is a Pit mix. They wouldn't even go through the interview process to see what mix my dog actually is, and/or how well she gets along with the other dogs. I got a flat out, no. They (and their website) claim that this is due to insurance reasons. Considering that this place already costs far more than nearly every other competitor in the area, I'm calling BS on this. If they're charging as much as they are, they can afford better insurance. Thankfully, there *are* many other competitors in the area, so I don't need to fight this terrible place to take my money. In the end, I'm sure that some dogs will find this place nice, but if Camp Bow Wow is cutting corners on an entire breed of dogs just to save a little cash, what else will they do? There are far too many places out there, those willing to take and care for ALL dogs, to waste time on Camp Bow Wow. read more

Breed Discrimination! Took our 3 year old terrier mix Meatball for the boarding interview and were told they do not accept Staffordshire terriers due to their insurance. There was nothing on the website stating this, although they claimed it was, and nothing was said to us when we spoke to them over the phone. They agreed to "try him out" and returned to say that he was "growly and snippy" with the female dogs and "energetic" with male dogs. This is a blatant lie. Meatball is a sweet-natured and sociable dog who is affectionate with all people and dogs. He even lived with my cousin's two female 3lb Mini Pomeranians for a week with no aggression. If Camp Bow Wow wants to discriminate that's their prerogative, but don't lie and tell me my dog is aggressive. Blatant dog racism. Do not use this facility. read more

Great place to bring your dog for day camp, boarding, and/or grooming. Staff is friendly and attentive, and the facility features a webcam on which you can log in and watch your dog play from your computer or iPhone--a HUGE plus if you have a hard time relaxing on vacation unless you know your pet is okay, like I do! The staff pays close attention to specific requests for feeding times/amounts, play, medication, etc. There seemed to be at least 5-6 staff members on the premises at all times, and employees were stationed with the dogs in their respective play areas (large dogs are in one section, medium-sized and small dogs are in another). Crates are for sleeping and feeding times only, and the space is more than adequate to ensure comfort! My dog is 4.5 lbs and, although she's average-sized for my area (NYC), she was the smallest one at Camp Bow-Wow. They had to put some modifications around the gates so she couldn't squeeze through, and watch her carefully around the outside doors. If you happen to have a small dog, let them know in advance so they can adequately prepare the area. Not really sure what the poster below me is talking about regarding them not allowing one particular breed. My experience was that every camper had to participate in an "interview" (which consists of the staff meeting your dog, observing him/her alone, then observing him/her during play with other similarly sized dogs for a few hours). If the dog passes the interview, (s)he is allowed back at any time. If (s)he exhibits behavioral problems that could potentially endanger the other dogs (aggression, fence-jumping, etc.), then (s)he is not allowed to stay at the facility. I'm willing to bet that this particular pit bull's behavior was questionable. read more

I brought Piper our Cairn terrier in for an interview and he spent the day. A wonderful place for sure. It is extremely clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They seemed to be very attentive to the dogs. There is a web cam for customers to use from their computers and an app that can be downloaded to your phone if you want to see your pet in "action." They have two big penned areas, one for large dogs and one for smaller sized ones. Each area has access to a gated outdoor play yard. Each dog has his own large caged in area for sleeping and eating when not in the play pens. I was very impressed by the place. The only draw back to me was that for an extended stay, there was no discount price. I thought that there should be tiered pricing for longer stays. The prices were a bit high for me. But, I would definitely use for a short stay because it is very convenient. read more

Our dog Dylan was very unhappy at a doggy day care located in our area. I am not sure what happened but I could not get him to enter the building. My husband and I have long, odd work hours so its very important Dylan is not locked up all day. We gave Camp Bow Wow a try and we are SOOOOO happy! Dylan literally drags us from the car to the front door! We can not even say the word camp at home because he gets too excited! The facility is extremely clean and all of the staff are friendly. CAMP BOW WOW IS THE BEST! We've been coming for a couple of years, but this is our first review. Our dog, Duggan, starts getting excited the minute we put his special Camp Bow Wow collar on. When we get there, he hops out of the car and rushes in the door as soon as it opens. He especially loves Jocelyn (a "counselor"), but whoever opens the gate, Duggan is in! He doesn't say goodbye. He doesn't look back at us. The same is true for boarding. I assume he's had a good time, because he doesn't miss a meal and he comes back brushed and happy and tired. What a change that is from our previous dog daycare, which shall remain unnamed. Not to overdo this, but the owner, Roman, and the staff are consistently helpful and clearly love their dog charges. I trust our beloved dog to Roman and I couldn't recommend them more to other dog "parents" who need their creatures in order to go to work or vacation - or just need a break. :-) read more

I honestly can't even imagine what all the negative comments are for. We have been taking our little Jersey to Camp now for almost 6 months. Camp Bow Wow has literally watched her grow up from a little puppy. They take phenomenal care of my girl which is clear from the cameras we watch, she comes home completely exhausted from her day of play and sleeps like a baby...it's the best 20-30 dollars A day I could spend on her. The staff is always welcoming, calling her by name and making her feel very welcome from the second we arrive. I'm always greeted with a big smile and someone is always ready to bring her in back to get the party started. She plays hard, and gets a few scratches here and there, but what puppy doesn't? They keep her safe, they keep her happy, and they wipe her out. What more can you ask for? read more

If I could give a negative ZERO I would. Reading the owners responses he doesn't seem to give 2 squats unless I'm sure it was HIS dog who was affected by any of these unfortunate events. On a Friday I decided to take my little guy to day camp at Elmwood. I dropped him off around 9:15AM and headed to PA to visit a friend. As I arrive to her place i check the camper cams and noticed my Dog wasn't on any of them, I said to myself don't be that person he might be in " time out " or something along those lines as this was only his SECOND visit here. Low and behold... he wasn't even there for 3 hours I get a call from one of the Staff members saying " He was playing with another dog and got nipped in the ear, he's okay just separated from them cause his ear is bleeding" WOW. He's okay? His ear is bleeding like no big deal? AWESOME. I spoke to someone named Rose I believed who initially I thought was sweet until she straight up down played the entire situation saying " the ears bleed a lot and their sensitive" I was expecting to at least hear this other dog will no longer be welcomed at this Camp or how about you obviously have incompetent employees who CLEARLY do not KNOW when 2 dogs are getting out of hand with " playing ". My dogs ear literally looks like a small knife sliced through it & we want to chalk this up as " It happens, ears bleed a lot". Give me a goddamn break! Based on reading other reviews bring your dog here is #1 you want them to get KENNEL cough OR your dog to be NIPPED by another aggressive dog. You can kyour peace out mind out the window with this low down establishment. Ramon- please don't play it down AGAIN. Whether a paper is " initialed" It has nothing to do with the dogs being actually WATCHED. Nobody and I'm sure not even YOU are a veterinarian to determine whether or not a dog needs medical attention which is ironic cause the DOCTOR actually stated it was great he came in the time he did so his wound could be properly cleaned & cared for. This is an absolutely fantastic day care/boarding facility. The staff is so friendly and you can tell they all really care about their jobs and about the pups that families trust them with everyday. Our fur baby Mayzey absolutely loves it here--she has some separation anxiety and sometimes gets upset if my fiancé or I even leave her sight for a minute. Not here!! She couldn't get away from us fast enough for a day of play. Everyone knows her by name and gets so excited to see her, which makes us feel really great as she can be a bit of a troublemaker sometimes at home. They're so accommodating as well. When we've had problems getting home from work on time, or our plans change, they're always more than happy to make it work for us. The only place I truly feel comfortable leaving our little girl. read more

Decent place; I would use this place again. It's not fancy like most kennels I've been but clean and homey and more affordable for the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were more forms and questions to check in than normal but made me feel that that they cared and reassured that my dog would be well cared for. There was food leftover; but this seems to happen at every kennel. They keep a log of the feedings so they said my dog didn't eat the first night. The only thing I didn't like was that when I was watching the video, it was so crowded in the playroom and really not enough room to really run let alone have a wrestle. I would like this place much better if they didn't pack so many dogs in such a small space. So I'm going to use this place til something better comes along. read more

My border collie loves this bow wow camp. He always was happy to stay. The staff is really friendly and cooperative even with customer like me ( obsessed with my little doggy) I couldnt get him keep going since he needed to be neutered after 6 months, and he will be fixed at 10 months. read more
