I scheduled an evaluation on Monday, December 6th, 2021 for Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at 4:00 pm. I did this through their website on their automated calendar system. The slot for 4:00 pm was available. I received two automated emails that my appointment was confirmed. My husband and I took off of work. On December 8th, 2021 we arrived with our doggy. The worker came out and explained that our session was canceled by Emily because she had a dinner party to go to. The worker explained only Emily could do the evaluation, and we would have to come back another day. She stated Emily would reach out to me on how to move forward. On December 9th, 2021 Emily did reach out to us and this is when I began to become suspicious. Instead of Emily looking to reschedule with us, she sent us a thank you email for attending the evaluation. All of you can obviously guess the scam here. She wants to secure her $100 by claiming she delivered a service she never did. This email was not automated and from Emily as we would begin a long thread of arguments. The end game for us was to return our $100 since she was borderline committing a theft by deception. Emily claimed she was at an organizational dinner-party that happens once a year. Emily believed since she had called once that morning to cancel that was satisfactory and the fact I missed the call was my problem. It was less than 8 hours notice. Emily also claimed since I was complaining about not receiving the service she didn't want to work with my kind. It's pretty obvious Emily intended on stealing our $100. If she is the CEO and founder, she knew her holiday dinner-party was already scheduled and that she wouldn't be available for our appointment. She made no attempts to genuinely reach me after two days of the service being scheduled. And after just one email she stated she wouldn't evaluate my dog. Also, she explained when I stated I would seek a chargeback, that she has plenty of experiences with these situations and that it would be very hard to get my money back and "good luck." Continuing with the deceiving trend, her website states she is BBB certified but if you check this website she clearly is not. Emily is a liar all in all and doggy owners: BEWARE!!!!! Do not bring your dog there. Now that I'm doing more research it's a horror. Many reviews claim their dogs were traumatized or became sick while being in her custody. We can't thank Christian enough for everything he's done for us and Lola!…read more Lola is an extremely energetic Doberman, but she's also incredibly affectionate and a true Velcro dog. We adopted her from a rescue at almost 6.5 months old after she had spent her first several months without a stable home environment. We were struggling with some of her behaviors and initially tried in home lessons with another trainer. While we had a great experience, we realized Lola needed more consistent structure and training than we could provide while balancing our work schedules. That's when we found Christian at Blunt K9, and we're so glad we did! Before we even scheduled an evaluation, Christian and I exchanged several emails because I had a lot of questions. He was always thorough in his responses, and I never felt pressured or like he was trying to sell us on anything. Throughout Lola's five weeks of training, Christian regularly sent pictures and videos of her progress and kept us updated. Our friends and family followed along on Instagram and have been so impressed with how far she's come! If you're interested in seeing her progress, he has an Instagram Story Highlight dedicated to her training from beginning to end. The transition home was more difficult than we anticipated, so we ended up having our follow-up session much sooner than planned. That session made a huge difference, and things have been going so well ever since! Christian is still quick to respond whenever we have questions or want to share updates on Lola's progress, which we really appreciate. The improvements we've seen in our everyday lives have been incredible. Lola no longer needs a leash in the house, and we don't have to rely on her e-collar nearly as often indoors. Letting her outside used to be stressful because of her high prey drive and our neighbors' dogs, but now we don't even think twice about it! She also settles in her crate overnight (rather than taking over our bed, like she used to) and when we leave the house. Mealtimes are much easier, too, especially with our 2.5 year old eating at his little table. We still need to use a bark collar when she's crated, and we know training is something we'll need to continue working on, especially with outdoor distractions. But at just 10.5 months old, Lola has done a complete 180. Christian gave us the tools and guidance to continue working with her, and the difference in our day to day lives has been huge. We're so grateful for everything he's done for Lola and our family and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for help with their dog!

I had to give myself some time before leaving this review because I wanted to be thoughtful and…read morethorough. We have been boarding our sweet girl with Musbro since she was a puppy. She was always excited to go when we pulled up and never hesitated when they came to take her from us. We always felt completely comfortable leaving her in their care. A few weeks ago, we dropped her off on a Thursday for a 10-day stay. The following Tuesday, the owner called me to let me know that she was refusing to get up. He asked if she had recently been showing any stubbornness about going outside. He said she had eaten fine that morning but that he had noticed a decline in her energy. He told me he would keep a close eye on her and call me back with an update. About an hour later, he called again and said that her breathing appeared to be labored and that they recommended she be seen by a veterinarian. They offered to transport her to my vet, even though it was a 28-minute drive from Musbro. I called the vet to give them a heads-up, but after hearing about her symptoms, they recommended that she go straight to an emergency hospital. Once again, Musbro offered to take her wherever I wanted. I chose VEG in Nanuet because it was the closest option. The owner's daughter personally drove our girl there, gave me her personal number so I could reach her directly, kept me updated throughout the entire process, and stayed with her the whole time. Unfortunately, an emergency ultrasound revealed that she had a tumor on her spleen that had ruptured. Sadly, something like this can remain hidden until it's too late, and there was nothing that could be done. We were 14 hours away and would not have made it home in time. Knowing that she wasn't alone means more to us than I can put into words. If I couldn't be there with her at the end, I am so grateful that she had a familiar and caring face by her side. We are absolutely heartbroken to have lost our baby, but we are incredibly grateful for the love, compassion, and quick action Musbro showed our family. I am especially thankful that they recognized the change in her behavior so quickly, got her the care she needed, and helped prevent her from suffering any longer than necessary. I have always recommended Musbro to others, and I will continue to do so. I wouldn't think twice about trusting them in the future. They treated our girl like she was their own, and for that, we will always be grateful. If you are looking for someone to care for your dog when you can't be there, I cannot recommend Musbro highly enough. Knowing how they cared for our girl when we were 14 hours away is something our family will never forget.
