    Beatrix got her first haircut at Puppies and tattoos and we couldn't be happier with the results. We made the appointment two weeks out via text message. Charles listened to what we wanted and did a great job; her hair was very evenly cut and she smelled great for days after. We will definitely be back.

    BEWARE! BEWARE! please read the negative reviews on this business because it is completely accurate and I have no connection to the people that wrote those reviews, but it seems to be a trend. Charles, the owner is absolutely disgusting as a business owner with clearly no basic knowledge of dogs that should or should not be shaved and that's on top of not knowing how to speak to people as a business owner. HE SHAVED MY NEWFIES DOUBLE COAT TO ALMOST THE SKIN RIGHT BEFORE WINTER!! He is the only business owner I've ever come across in my 43 years on earth that yells, lies and doesn't offer a resolution and does not even give the customer a chance to speak. one point asking me to "give him 45 seconds to talk and then he will hear my side." He talked for about two minutes and then when I asked him if I can respond, continued to talk over me and yell. With that being said, heres the grooming issue- and I am not a vet and I am not a groomer and I can tell you with certainty you are never to shave certain breeds of dogs. Anyone can Google "Should Newfoundland be shaved?" (Try if you dont believe me) The immediate answer that comes up is "No Newfoundlands should not be shaved" It affects the way their body regulates their temperature. Yet, Charles, the owner who is clearly ignorant gave the ignorant groomer who I also told numerous times do not shave him the OK to shave They only had permission to shave his chest and his behind. The areas where the groomer, as well as Charles told me where the only issue areas. Charles told me over the phone right after Im dropped off my dog that if there was any problems and the dog needed to be shaved other than those areas that he would call us back. Well We NEVER received a call. The next correspondence was Charles sending me a picture of my dog completely shaved. Now my dog will need to be monitored when going outside in extreme conditions due to the owners negligence. Again, I have taken my dog here many other times with his fur in the same condition as it was and never once was this an issue. Charles was never even present today to observe the matting on my dog, only from pictures. Even if my dog was in the worst condition in the world, if your business is not competent enough to take on the task and know how to properly groom certain breeds or if they did not want to take on the task or they could not do the grooming because of the matting then have the decency to call and tell me like you told me you were going to do!!! Charles outrighted lied over phone when I asked him was my dog given a bath, his immediate response was yes. I explained to him that my dog did not smell like he usually does when he gets back from a grooming and he was dry. Charles's wording was "OK. I'll be honest with you. He did not finish his bath because you told me you were picking him up so I had them stop where they were in the process", So you don't finish giving my dog a bath even after you butchered him with the grooming that's the least you could've done! I am so disgusted with this place and I'm not surprised that there is literally new groomers every single time I've been to the Fairlawn location. CHARLES NEVER EVER ONCE APOLOGIZED!! He never offered a resolution, not a refund, not even an apology which cost nothing. Even if he apologized and admitted his wrongdoing, I would not have been as irate as I am right now and disappointed as I am right now. If you Google his one star reviews, he actually responded in one of them again in a rude and negative way and yet never offered an apology to the customer. Look for yourself. Even if the customer was in the wrong, as a decent business owner, you would say at a minimum OK I'm sorry you feel that way and then give a reasonable and polite explanation. But not this ignorant owner. I had been a customer for a couple years and had been there a bunch of times so I'm not writing this as a one time customer but a customer that trusted them with my dog and they did wrong by me and my dog. Horrible horrible customer service and no human decency. And then the owner responds to my Google review and says to check his Instagram for the condition of my dog. There is a video of them butchering my dog shaving, not one coat, but both of his coats. So the gray and white color that you are seeing being ignorantly shaved off my dog is his protective second coat that they are destroying. And according to his Instagram post, he prides himself on being transparent, yet completely has neglected to state how he was told twice to not shave my dog and yet my dog was shaved. I've yet to receive an answer or an apology about this. And everyone on his Instagram post is ignorant just the same.

    Our first experience was just fine, so we returned for another visit. Reason for 1 star is unfortunately the second time didn't go so well which is why I'm here to write this. My husband dropped our dogs, and asked for the same as the first time. I also messaged them to confirm details with photos, too. When my husband picked up our dogs, it was more expensive than the first time- okay fine that's not the main issue- the main issue is our female looked great but our male was uneven all over and was poorly done. The girls even asked how it was, and he said they look okay- which is not his typical demeanor. Any ways, he came home and we both expressed we were upset and wouldn't return. I wasn't going to say anything to the owner, but after my dogs literally slept for almost 20 hours after their return, I felt I had to. I messaged the owner, and expressed my concerns (some of which included the price increase, my one dogs nail wasn't cut and ultimately how uneven and poorly my male dog was done). He explained the price was off due to extra services, some I didn't know happened or if they did but fine. Next, he went over the nail and how groomers won't cut if they're worried. Fine, I'll pay more and go to the vet and have her nails done/ even though I thought groomers are skilled in nails, fine. But the last concern, my dog being groomed poorly and lack of doing his ears that really set him off. The owner became very defensive over his groomers work. Never apologized, just said people will be unhappy and that he knows. So I was annoyed, and said well the groom done was shitty. One dog was done well and the other wasn't. Plain and simple. He raised his voice even more and got loud. So I hung up the phone, texted and asked he never call or text me again. As I already told him, we will not be returning and that's it. You're not changing our mind after the way my dog looks and how they're both acting. It's very sad that instead of saying sorry and accepting we had a poor experience, he was quick to tell us to come back (even though we would never) and so quick to defend the job his groomer did. I will post photos, of how uneven my dog is. Also, it's 21 hours later, and they're still sleeping- so my guess this experience was traumatic for them both. They're adult dogs, groomed every 6 weeks and never acted this way or this stressed before. Do not go here, I recommend checking out other places. I plan to.

    Bad cut from Puppies & Tattoos

    My first and last experience with this groomer. It was absolutely horrible.. in addition to not paying attention to my request (the cut is awful), my dog was clearly stressed out by the environment and lack of care given. My dog has had an amazing mobile groomer for 10 1/2 years so obviously, I was nervous about trying somewhere new; because my groomer has relocated to FL, I sadly had no choice. This was the absolute worst from start to finish. To start, I showed the groomer pictures of my dog's past cuts and explained that I wanted her face rounded (panda cut style); I then asked her if she was going to be the one grooming and she said she didn't think so but would tell whomever it was going to be. As I was leaving, she then called out what I wanted and went back to resume cutting the dog she was working on and there were already 2 other dogs being worked on and another entering. I want to note that I was told by Charles that they block schedule so they each only have one dog and the dogs are not waiting to be groomed. When I returned after an hour and 20 minutes to check in on my dog's status, there was a new dog there howling and waiting. At this time I was told that it would be another 20 minutes. I returned 25 minutes later and my dog was finished but not what I asked for at all. I let them know my disappointment that they cut her entire face down and did not do what I asked. One groomer said my dog's hair is different for what I wanted and I let her know that I showed the other woman pictures of my own dog with the cut I desired. I paid and left, and received a call from Charles who had done the grooming. Rather than apologize and say that he should've looked at the pictures himself or called me to let me know his thoughts on altering my dog's appearance he attempted to tell me that my dog was missing a chunk of hair and that he wasn't going to send a dog out with three different lengths of hair. As I clarified that I was speaking about her chin/jaw area being cut down completely (not the top of the head he was trying to convince me of), he spoke over me, shouted, and told me to go back to where ever I went before. Charles was rude, unprofessional, and clearly not skilled at this craft. Do not waste your time or money, or put your poor dog through this trauma. BAD, HORRIBLE, AND AWFUL do not describe the extent of this experience.

    It wasn't a quality cut. In my opinion it was not worth what was charged. I will not return.

Hopefully one day when I want a real vacation my dog will be acclimated to staying with TKDW. What I love about TKDW is they are flexible with the sleeping arrangements, offering the option of a crate or a free sleeping area where my dog can cuddle with other dogs. Although she sleeps in a crate at home, she does better not confined when in boarding situations. I also love that Erin will usually send me an update sometime during the day, usually just a picture and a few words about how she is doing.

Laurie and Bob have been walking my pup Lazer for 4 years and words cannot explain how amazing it has been. Lazer and Bob have developed such a beautiful bond. I occasionally check in on the cameras and always see them playing or Bob sitting on the floor letting Laz cover him in kisses. Over the years I've continued to receive comments from neighbors about how great both Bob and Laurie are with Laz as well. I cannot recommend Laurie and her team enough! The care and communication are unmatched. I am so grateful to have worked with them for so many years and am heartbroken that our working relationship is ending. They have brought me so much peace in knowing Lazer is walked, given fresh water, and kept company while I work. That peace of mind is invaluable and for that I am forever grateful.     Recently hired Laurie and her team for our two very good boys. They are older dogs and need…read morepatience and simple walks to be happy, and I can tell when I come home that the dogs are indeed happy! They look forward to their afternoon daily walks while my wife and I are at work. I really like the notes on the walk that a walker will leave, it goes a long way to making me feel like the dogs are truly cared for. Laurie was even able to have a walker - Steve - who speaks Russian, for our russian-speaking dog! How cool is that! The price is right, the service is excellent.
