Site 60 | great location | great amenities We stayed one night in our sprinter van along the way to Yellowstone. This place is perfect for what we needed. Our site was close to trash bins to empty our trash and a one minute walk to the bathroom and camp kitchen area, if we needed to do some cooking. Our site has a nice little picnic table and fire ring. Lots of folks were using the fire pits, so there is no fire ban here. We are so close to the lake! Lots of trees here and our spot has enough shade to hide from the hot summer sun. Our site was #60 with an electrical hookup, thank goodness. It helped us not to drain our battery when using the a/c. Our site is in between a cabin site and a tent site. The site is small and fits our 24ft van perfectly. The big thing was that it is level! No adjusting. There is a store in the front and a swimming pool, which is popular when it's hot out. I did not need to do laundry, but they also offer that here. Patchy internet at our site, but we were able to use our starlink instead. Overall, we can't complain because this is glamping to us with all of our needs met. I recommend stopping here if you need a place to camp on your way to Yellowstone. read more

Tightest sight we have ever camped in. We had to be very careful putting our slide out not to hit our neighbors. Had to be very careful where we step, or we might fall. There was a very big pile of dog Pooh in our sight and no picnic table. The check-in person was very nice. read more

New owners did some much needed upgrades. The cabins have new, comfortable mattresses with bedding. The pool area is upgraded with a new hot tub and splash pad area. The check in/ store area had a makeover and it's wonderful also. What will make your trip unforgettable are the new owners. They really love their campers and take the time for everyone. I went to camp here on a busy holiday weekend. There is nothing wrong with it, it is just I am a writer and had hoped for my quiet. The people above me (tiered camped ground, like a staircase) had their LED lights shining into my camper and I finally went in my nightgown to their site and asked them to turn it off. Kids ran everywhere.. so it upset my dogs. Truthfully, it just wasn't the right place for a single person wanting solitude. read more

We had a really nice experience! We arrived around 6:30pm and got all checked in! We bought some ice and fire wood from the office. They delivered the fire wood right to our site! We made some hot dogs over the fire and did a little walking around. The pool looks nice (we always saw a lot of people swimming). The staff was always nice and kind. They really seem dedicated to having a nice campground. We were really impressed by the camp kitchen. We didn't bring anything we needed to cook, (besides the hot dogs) so we didn't end up using it but it looked nice/useful. If we happen to find ourselves in this area again we will definitely use it! It even had a microwave! The bathrooms were always clean and had warm water for showers. The cabin itself was nice. We rented a 6 person cabin. It was roomy with a double bed and 2 sets of bunk beds. The beds had the classic cabin style mattresses, but not too bad. It had a little heater attached, which was nice when it got a little chilly in the evening. Overall a very pleasant and nice experience! (A personal favorite: the front porch swing on the cabin: such a cute touch) read more

I desperately wanted to love this place. It's truly beautiful and you feel like you're literally in your own "private" Idaho. We were incredibly grateful that the new campsite managers came in to revive the place regardless of being in bankruptcy, saving our long planned vacation and the money stolen from us by the previous bankrupt owner. On that alone, the work and diligence they put into fixing the campground, getting water back to the sites and having the place run smoothly is priceless. The sites are pretty close together and if full, several of the sites are difficult to back into without experienced guidance. The site is infested with Yellowjackets and an extraordinary volume of mosquitoes. I am allergic the bee stings and mosquito bites so to say that my stay was uncomfortable would be an understatement. Regardless of wearing bug repellent 24/7, citronella candles, mosquito coils and Yellowjacket traps, almost everyone that we camped with were stung and I received over 40 mosquito bites. The hills behind the sites are begging to be hiked, but the standing water and muddy pockets are breeding thousands of mosquitoes, without any obvious abatement. I love nature and we camp often, but this was more than I've ever experienced. You cannot eat outside, ever....the Yellowjackets will swarm your food and whatever you BBQ. The campground is very well maintained otherwise and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean and they provide a lot of amenities for cabin renters (though there is no AC). It was very busy the week we were there in July, so I hope they can turn it around and make some changes. Everyone we met there were wonderful. read more

I would highly recommend finding a campground elsewhere especially with kids. When we arrived our trailer was the correct dimensions but we could not physically maneuver into the spot. There was no management to be found, there was a man riding around the campground in his underwear and tent campers yelled at the kids for walking the trails. We ended up leaving and found a much better campground so it worked out but the website compared to the actual campground is extremely misleading and was not a kid friendly spot despite it being advertised as family friendly. spots are so small there is not enough room to even sit at a table and enjoy a meal outside. I emailed management and they told me it was my fault for booking even though I booked a spot with the correct dimensions even after sharing all other issues we experienced. read more

Having never been to this part of Idaho before, we were not sure what to expect. When we arrived there were a couple of other campers in our path, so we could not see the beauty that awaited us. When we made it to the front we were awed by the natural surroundings and beautiful camp grounds. The check in staff was kind and helpful, offering us a great amount of information about the area. There are canoes, kayaks & life vests provided for guest use on the lake, and while most places charge for firewood, this location offers it for free. There is a pool, coin op laundry facility and some of the cleanest camp restrooms and showers I've experienced. While there, we observed the restrooms getting cleaned multiple times. If you are not traveling in a camper, there are also adorable log cabins to rent. The views are stunning and the lake is a great place to enjoy, whether from the shoreline or on the water. read more

This is a well run, maintained, amenity focused waterfront campground at the Eastside of the lake Coeur d' Alene. They're small rustic style log cabins are clean and stay cool even in the heat of summer. All of the washing amenities, full kitchen cabana, local store, and resting areas pleasantly compliment each other. The staff is impeccable and work round the clock to give a great guest experience. Highly recommend this campground for lower end glamping. read more

This is a beautiful location, and the current staff handling it while it's in a bankruptcy court is doing all they can to make it pleasant. For tent campers the area down at the bottom near the lake is really pretty and well done, although I suspect there's a lot of bugs. But up on the hill for the RVs and campers, it's like a parking lot. You're 10 feet away from your neighbor, and there are swarms of wasps everywhere. There's a small pool, the water is kind of cloudy but I'm sure that's because there are 20 kids in it all day every day. There's not much shade, so between the kids and the heat it really didn't appeal to me as an adult. If someone buys it out of bankruptcy and put some money into it, this could be a top-notch camping resort. But it needs some improvement, and they need to combine every two RV spaces into one larger one. read more

We stayed in a tent and the site was very well maintained. The bathrooms were super clean and in a good neutral location. Make sure to bring mosquito spray as there are tons of them since there are beautiful shade trees everywhere and a pond ready for the free canoe. Already have reservations for next year. read more

I read the negative reviews but I have to say our experience was great. The lack of full hook up was a minor inconvenience for which they reimbursed us. The small sites are still lovely, we had a spot shaded by trees during the heat wave that was a big priority. The restrooms were clean and good showers. The pool is nice, and the beachfront area with the kayaks and canoes, Adirondack chairs and gorgeous sunset views is really nice. Plus it was in an ideal location to take advantage of all the beauty Idaho has to offer, both the Lake Couer D'Alene and the White Pine Scenic byways are close by and spectacular. And the most important reason I give it 5 stars is that it is welcoming, inclusive and diverse. While here we shared the pool and had neighbors of many racial and ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ headed family and persons with significant disabilities- made my heart so happy! read more

We were so happy to have found this place. We were originally was planning on staying at the KOA campground near Coeur D'alene, which is about 52 miles from the city. Little that we know this campground was used to be KOA. So I thought to myself... why not inquire it and give it a chance.... read some of the reviews, most people raves in regards of the cleanliness of their bathroom! And that's what I am looking for when I am camping with my Families. I called few times and I spoke with 3 different people to ask about the camp in general. When I finally have decided to book the site, i talked with Taylor and she was very friendly and very patience dealing with my questions (i appreciate it very much!) The check in process was very easy and quick. And it happen Taylor was there to checked me in. Gave the map and showed me the site. The site was nice!!! It actually never been to a site such as this. We literally have 2 spots one for my car to park and one where we set up our tent! (Site#206) Immediately I went to the bathroom to check and see if the reviews were true.... well IT IS!!!!!! Their bathroom were clean! And for a campground.... it is almost crazy clean!!!!! And it also helps the fact that the campers keeps it clean and care about it!!! TOP NOTCH !!!! We were there from Sunday to Friday and not ONE day I find the bathroom filthy..... AMAZING!!!!! They also have access of their lake with a free canoe and kayak... we didn't have a chance to try it out... We used their laundry room and it was right next to the pool and the other main bathroom... very convenient Did I mention that they provide you with unlimited FREE firewood?!!!!!!!! (Just make sure you bring your axe to cut it smaller) My overall experience staying at the camp was very pleasant and the staff are very accommodating and friendly!!!! I want to thank Taylor for being so very friendly and patience with my inquiries and also Luke that called me and letting me know that my amazon package was receive..... and last but not least Max... always checking on us to make sure we are all good almost every morning... and had a good convo too ... Very nice campground with a lot of activities, free firewood and a beautiful setting. We visited in mid May and it was maybe 15% full. I'm sure it's bustling during the summer with children and all sorts of activity. (There's also not a lot of separation between the campsites so you'll be making friends with your neighbors.) Friendly hosts. Good family campground with a lot to do in the area. Definitely appreciated the free wood! Also saw kiddos enjoying the canoes and peddle boat. read more

Overall a really nice campground. This former-Koa is situated away from road noise on a hillside with lots of shade and thick trees. The owners have paid a lot of attention to artsy details to make the grounds cute and inviting. We loved the camp kitchen and clean restrooms/showers. Guests can use canoes or paddle boats for free. The camping cabins were spacious and well maintained. The tent sites use a porta potty, which would be a bit disappointing if we were camped there. The pool could use a little TLC, but the kids don't mind. read more

RV camping at Camp Coeur D'Alene in beautiful Idaho. This campground was absolutely amazing. The beauty of the area is spectacular and this campground in particular is in an ideal setting. The spaces are a bit tight but the beauty around makes up for it. Complementary firewood was a huge plus. Lake access with canoes and lifejackets for campground guests was a huge perk too. The check-in staff was super friendly and everyone just had a smile on their face. We visited in fall when the leaves were turning and it was just spectacular. DO NOT STAY HERE! Overrun with Yellowjackets/meat bees. I was stung twice on our first day. there are bee traps up but ineffective. The tree above us was dripping sap all over our RV and new truck. the office staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. We were told many times that they were in bankruptcy and were managed by the Bankruptcy Trustee. I felt that this attributed to the uncaring attitudes. The outside employees were very friendly however. We cut our trip short as my husband is allergic to bee stings. We were told that we wouldn't get a refund as it's "Mother Nature " and that it goes through the bankruptcy trustee who won't issue refunds. Go to Wolf Lodge RV instead! read more

We hopped on their website and it was easy to navigate and so we made a reservation. This place is gorgeous. It's very rustic but they want it that way. It harkens back to a 50's Route 66 vibe. Small cabins and tent sites. About 30 or RV sites with full Hookups which we took advantage of. It's lake front! Perfect for Sup or yak. They have free, yes free paddle boats and free firewood. It's well staffed by super nice people who helped us back in and get setup. This is a family oriented "camp". There were lots of kids here and I can see why, I'd would have loved staying here as a kid. There are a few things I will mention, that in no way make this any less than a five star place, these are just things that don't fit my style of RVing and if anyone else is like us, then they can take note of my words or not. First, the sites are not at angle. They are 90 degree, perpendicular to the Main Street. Lucky for us we were early and could swing wide and use other spots. I have a 28' Trailer which is really 35' when you add the tongue and bumper. The camp is on a hill, so it was hard to get in and because I have tipouts, it was cramped and hard to navigate the site. I had to put my truck in 4wd to get up the hill and backed in. I would be cautious with anything over 26' feet or so. And there were lots of trailers this size. They have pull through sites. But these share a common pad and the utilities are in the middle, which you have to watch out for. The camp sits in a really cool "hollow" but because of this if you have asthma, the smoke from the campfires does not leave, at all. It also takes awhile for the sun to hit the camp, dress warm in spring. Like I said, these are just observations from me, and do not reflect how great this place is, especially if you have kids. It's is just that cool to be able to explore and be so close to the water and protected from the wind. The water was glass smooth for all our trip. If your in the area to camp, do yourself a favor and give them a shout. read more

We LOVED this campground in the surprisingly picturesque lakeside town of Couer d'Alene!! This was a perfect stop directly on our route heading from Montana out to Seattle!! Not only did our roughly $30 a night fee include free WiFi and a site nestled in the woods overlooking the entire property, it also included: - free paddle and row boat usage (first come, first serve) -free firewood AND had an outdoor pavilion kitchen with multiple burners and sinks for dishes! This is very luxurious camping compared to most places. The grounds are located just 10 minutes or so from the heart of town and just on the edge of the lake, across one street. Beautiful sunrises here! Showers were clean and hot. It's pet friendly too. We enjoyed leisurely cooking a hot dinner in their kitchen and chatting with others doing the same. The pavilion also had picnic tables underneath as well as the stoves. Easy to cook and eat right there if you would like instead of transporting your food! They were initially sold out of tent sites and cabins so I called and they squeezed us in. It actually worked out perfectly because they set us up on their top level which wasn't opened to the public at the time. We had the entire place to ourselves!! (I do believe at this point that area is now opened to all as it was almost complete when we visited). We were told to choose anywhere we would like. We picked a spacious site which even had an awesome picnic table on the edge of the cliff! Huge gorgeous trees surrounded us. It was so peaceful and scenic! The cabins looked roomey, but a bit close to each other for my taste. The RV sites were just the same. If the top level of tent camping is available, I say go there! Bears aren't a huge threat, but are in the area. Pack up that food at night just in case! You are more likely to encounter deer and even some elk however. We would recommend and really had a great time here. read more

We are giving this campground 2 stars only because it is on a beautiful lake and the staff was pleasant. They have kayaks for your use and a canal you can use, all nice things. But they have a sewage problem, that they don't tell you about! One review talks about it from over a year ago, not the just happened event they eluded to. If you have an rv you cannot hook up to the sewer. They have brought in Andy Gumps, most likely to show they have facilities. They have showers which you will have to use since you will not have hookups. They have a few public bathrooms that close from 12-2 for cleaning. The laundry is closed for the same reason. They deliberately leave out this information when you make reservations and only tell you when you show up. They also give you a list of places you can drive to to dump your sewage. Oh they did offer a small rebate for your inconvenience. Had we known we would have gone somewhere else and that's why they don't disclose the problem. Very shafty thing to do to people on vacation. Also, like others have said, very tight spots, with a thick brown dust that fills the air and your lungs day and night. Majority of it is from the grounds keepers flying by in their golf carts! Do yourself a favor and find another, more hygienic place to spend your vacation. read more

I can't say enough about this campground! You can reserve a spot online! Campground was super clean and had so many personal touches to make you feel welcome! I will try to name some: fire pit and chairs always on by office, yardzee, giant jenga, corn hole, coffee, canoes, showers, coffee... and all included in your nightly price! They even had a pool! There was a cook shack that you could use with sinks, burners and picnic tables to prepare your meal! They have really thought of everything! I can't wait to go back! read more

We love this place! We basically lived here all last summer. We had a huge tent and our two kitty's. We loved how they had FREE FIREWOOD!! & also the free wifi was pretty awesome. Great fast connection anywhere in the park. Also the cool paddle boats and canoes they have on the property for u to take right out on the water from campground. Cool creek/little waterfall on the upper topside of camp. A few little (tiny, overpriced) cabins. The vibe was pretty laid back. No loud noises all night. Very nice. Relaxing environment. Hot showers. Cool gazeebo that has cooking stove tops, and kitchen sinks for doin dishes which we loved. We Made breakfast, lunch, & dinner on it every day. The only bad things was the pool was closed all summer. Idk if they ever opened it.. Oh! And, it's pretty far out from any kind of store... I will start with the positives... the staff was pleasant and the views were nice. Contrary to their website, there is no working wifi, no working pool and no water available for hookups if you're camping above the office. Men's restroom is awful! Urinals out of order and ceiling collapsing above stalls. They are aware of the issues but fail to notify campers at check in. When looking for a campground that offers a pool for the kids and wifi so I can work, it's beyond frustrating to pull in and find out that both are unavailable. Then, to find the water no longer working after a few hours and to be told that it always happens because they are on a well system... so disappointing. My suggestion is to notify guests of these issues at check in and then at least offer a discount for the inconvenience. Charging full price and letting guests discover these issues on their own is bad business. read more

Picked this place from online listing, didn't expect the sites would all be crammed into together. We rented a cabin, but it felt like we had no privacy. Everybody in the campground seemed to be part of one big party, talking loud, partying all night. Bathrooms were cramped and crowded, not well maintained. Probably a nice place to stay if you are part of a big group and want to welcome strangers to cook with you or sit by the fire. I've heard they rent canoes and kayaks, but for "one the move" travelers like us, not a great experience. read more

Our group didn't have a great experience here. There are definitely some pros, but too many cons for us to return. The pros: - Cabins were adorable and clean. - The store was cute and convenient. - Free canoes to use! - Convenient location. - Free firewood. - Cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campground. - Outdoor kitchens were super convenient The cons: - Super strict dog on leash policy. No place to exercise your dog. We have some active dogs who need to run and we couldn't throw the ball for them or let them swim. - Kids couldn't be free. Our kids were reprimanded by employees for climbing on dirt hills, for sitting two feet onto the neighboring campsite which happened to belong to an employee, and for a few other silly things. I love taking my kids camping so they can play hard and get dirty. It felt like we were walking on eggshells. Staff also reprimanded the children right in front of me instead of asking me to correct my children. - No space to hang out. When a car was parked in front of our cabin there was hardly any space to hang out. Our group of three families booked cabins near each other and it was tough to find enough space to be together. There aren't any big common bonfire pits like some campgrounds have. - They ran out of ice for the whole weekend. We camp a lot, and have never felt so micromanaged by a campground. Our family has never received warnings from campgrounds before. This place threatened to kick us out! It put a huge damper on our trip, and because of that I cannot say I'd recommend it. read more

Call this place Camp Bumble Bee, because the entire place is inundated with bees. We could not set up our camp until after sundown and by early morning there were so many flying around that we were basically chased out. That's better than the people who had a spot next to us. They arrived and departed within an hour because the situation was so unbearable. Management feigned that this was the first they had ever heard about the situation, but that's crap. There was even a bee glue trap in a tree in our space left by a previous beleaguered camper, which was not set up properly and had snared a small bird in addition to the insects. Management had no idea it was there - do they even inspect the sites in between campers? +1 star for free firewood and clean showers, but that's it. The camp looks great from a distance but up close it's worn and tired. Prices for basic supplies are jacked way up. Would never stay there again and advise you to avoid under all circumstances. read more

This was a great camp ground. Very well kept, friendly staff, great bathrooms and showers (for a camp ground) this was my kids first time camping and they absolutely loved it. Just about every moment of it. They have lake access and provide a couple peddle boats and a canoe. They warn you about the "steep" hill going up camp and they do not lie. It is pretty steep and after 4 days of going up and down my legs were definitely feeling the wrath of it. I was here Memorial Day weekend and it seemed pretty full, every guest I ran across was very nice, and respectful. I would give this a 5 star rating but there were a couple issues that my group was kind of "meh" about so it's fair to explain why the 4 star. Understanding that they had opened the pool the day after we got there, but they describe a warm pool and that pool was not warm. My kids were mostly blue in the face and lips the whole time in pool, though 75+ degrees outside. Again this didn't really bother me personally but my group was kind of bummed. They advertise free WiFi and apparently people in my group weren't able to log on to their WiFi. I don't know if it was because it was a full campground or what but again this didn't bother me personally because I'm CAMPING. I'm old school, no phone, no electronics, but I understand the frustration for those who "NEED" to facegram or instabook. They do have a store that is being built or remodeled so they only have non alcoholic beverages. Kind of pricey, hoping they improve and are able to provide other things that are camping related. FREE FIREWOOD. I could not have been more pleased to find out about this. It's awesome! Added bonus was that Silverwood was just about a 30 or 45 ( lots of traffic lights ) minute drive down the road. We made it a point to check that out and it was an awesome adventure. They have tent sites, trailer sites and even cabins. Me and my family are already working on our next visit in the next couple months because this camp ground was truly the bees knees read more

This place deserves more stars for having a relatively clean bathroom and shower situation, scenic surroundings, free firewood and paddle boats and canoes to hop on and cruise the lake with. Those are some really wonderful points to this campground. But... The pull through spots are kinda tight, though. The worst- the bees. You expect lots of insects when you camp. However, being held hostage in my camper because a hundred bees are waiting to swarm is more than an annoyance. They're aggressive and they sting. And there's so many of them. You can't hang out much and definitely not cook outside because it will feel like a hive is surrounding you, it's kinda miserable. If it were not for this bee thing, this place is great. read more

Our stay was Sept. 3-5, 2018. We lucked out and got a great pull thru site near the pool and office. Great staff and clean (but older) facilities. Lots of cabins and tent sites, if needed, and everyone there was friendly and enjoying themselves. They provide a firewood, canoe and paddle boats at no cost to guest. Plan on staying a week to take in everything. Unfortunately, we only had two days and I'm ready to go back for a lengthy stay. And no bee problems. read more
