My son did the Go Kart summer quest camp and loved it. Each day he would come home excited about adding the wheels, adding the seat from noodles, painting it. We ordered lunch this week of camp and with him being such a picky eater, we were pleasantly surprised that he ate it most days. He is on the autism spectrum/Asperger Mann and the team at Galileo was so good with him. My daughter who is 7 also did camp (her first year) and she has already asked to come back next year. We thought it was a great experience for our kids but it is expensive. read more

Initially I think I was more excited about this camp than my son was, but after his first week he was hooked. After 4 weeks he didn't want to leave and we extended a 5th. He made so many amazing projects, built friendships and really learned some valuable lessons about persistence and not giving up. All of the counselors were very engaged and were really focused on making sure that the kids were not only having a great time but enjoying the process of learning. Through our friends recommendation we gave Galileo summer camp a try and my son (6yrs old) loved it. He came home every day (and that includes the first day of camp) super excited about camp. He was bummed we only signed him up for 3 weeks. Each week the camp offers different topics that's covered. We chose science driven topics where our son learned about cause and effect and movement. He made cars that move out of paper and figured out what worked and what didn't. What I loved about the camp is that it opened his mind to troubleshoot and thinking outside of the box, all through fun activities. We plan to sign him up again this summer. Key to signing up is to sign up early for the early bird discount which is in January or February. It may seem early to think about summer but spots fill up fast for all camps (trust me) and at least for this one the early bird special makes it more affordable. Oh and for all the parents that have a child with a food allergy like mine, the camp knows how to use an epi pen. read more

My daughter just finished her third day of her first week at Galileo Summer Quest in Burbank. She has loved every minute of it. She is participating in the Chefology - International Eats course this week and brings home a different dish from a different country every day. Plus she is learning how to figure things out on her own and to discover new things. She is helping others as well. The camp is very well organized. All campers and parents are greeted every morning and receive an information sheet with tips and news. The staff is friendly and cheerful and makes every camper feel special and welcomed. I would highly recommend this program to any elementary and middle school student. They have many sites throughout LA. read more

This is the only camp my son is excited to do year after year. He has attended for the past three summers as a 5, 6 and 7 year old. We Love the obvious attention to detail and the clearly qualified staff. The projects the kids do are age appropriate and open-ended, so they all get a chance to collaborate and share their own ideas. There is an obvious emphasis on growth mindset and individual creativity. Our son has had friends start attending because of his enthusiasm for the camp. Besides the content, I LOVE the safety and security and the detailed care they take in that regard. We will definitely be back again next year! I only wish they had a winter camp, as well! read more

Galileo has been my son's favorite camp for the past two summers. He went first at 5 and then again this summer at 6. They are so engaging, make learning fun and the topics are super creative. The campers come home with an incredible amount of projects at the end of the week and seem to truly understand the concepts they learned. Ten days later, my son is still wearing his bracelets signifying being courageous, visionary, collaborative & determined. The location at Lycee International School in Burbank is easy in and out and well air-conditioned - important for a Valley summer camp! The staff is communicative, super friendly and very strict about pick-up procedures, which I appreciated as a parent. I also loved ordering lunch ahead of time! My 7 year old son had a wonderful experience at Camp Galileo last summer. He is a shy kid and also has food allergies, so we thought finding the right fit would be difficult, but Galileo made it so easy. The counselors took their time earning his trust and he knew some kids from school which was great. My kids had such an amazing experience with the Space and Toys weeks!! They were able to create some really cool projects and learn to think in new ways to solve problems and be creative. My seven year-old daughter had a blast at Camp Galileo last summer! The program was well organized by charismatic counselors and engaging STEM curriculum. She came home with arm-loads of projects and was nearly bubbling over with stories from the day of what she learned and games she played. The location at the Lycee was spacious, clean and safe. Given the summer heat, it was nice for the kids to be able to be inside instead of baking in the sun all day. I also really liked the ease of ordering lunch for the week. Our 9-year-old son loved his experience at Galileo, participating in the Amusement Park week, focused on the art and engineering of circuses and carnival rides. We appreciated the excellent location in Burbank (often we're driving to Studio City for camps), close enough to ride bikes there. And our son came home each day excited about the projects he was creating and the cool materials he got to use to create them. The environment was fun and engaging, and the counselors were very encouraging and supportive. The camp is super organized: from the online enrollment to ongoing communication with parents (pre-camp, during camp, and post camp); we knew our son was in good hands! I'll also note that our son attended the camp without knowing any other campers; he was comfortable right away and even made a new friend who we discovered lives only a block away from us. So impressed with this wonderful camp. Everything from the counselors, staff, security, projects, activities and location is amazing. They offer a hot lunch program and have extended care hours.
