It is my kids first summer at Camp Keystone. We just finished our second week and they are having an absolute blast! You can tell that a lot of thought was put into the management of drop off and pick-up. It is obvious that the safety of their staff and campers are their top priority. I love that the camp director is always out front at drop off making himself visible and available to answer any questions. Counselors help open the doors and get the kids out of their car and on the way to start their day and they end their day with counselors walking the kids to the cars. There are a variety of different activities each day and there's always something new to look forward to. My kids are definitely forming relationships with their counselors and other campers! I love that they have freshly made lunches daily for the kids as an option. Lastly, I think they do a great job keeping the kids cool on some of these very hot days. What kid wouldn't love a huge waterslide, swimming, slip n' slide, water wars and more! read more

As a mother there is no other camp option. My child has attended camp keystone as a junior camper and now with "the big boys". The super shady park allows kids to be outside (where they belong in the summertime!) and still remain cool under the huge sycamores that canvas they entire camp! The relationships my child develops with the counsellors are relationships he holds onto all year long. With remarkable activities and unbelievable staff, Camp Keystone is the most epic AND authentic camp experience. I'm grateful beyond words. read more

This will be our second year at Camp Keystone. My kids used to complain that they didn't like camp and there were even some tears! Now, they all run out of the car with smiles on there faces, they would go every day if I would let them. What a really fantastic camp program memories galore for your kiddos. They have water slides, zip lines, a river with paddle boats, basketball courts, and more and more. It's nestled in the mountains off Kanan so your kids are kinda of in the wilderness which is really unique. The staff is very well trained and attentive to any special needs you might have. When we toured Camp Keystone we were so excited to attend once summer started. If your child is a "camp" type of kid, this can be a fun place to go. However, if you have a single issue with anything it will not be addressed. I had a couple questions regarding schedule and other logistical issues and the staff was categorically unhelpful. The staff answering the phones are totally uninformed. Depending on who is answering the phone you will get different answers to your questions. On about 4 occasions, I left a message to speak to someone "in charge" to get simple issues addressed and no one would call me back. I had to call them back. That is not professional. So as far as clerical staff and organization, it leaves much to be desired. But the activities themselves are fun for kids. Another note - at the end of the day the kids gather around a stage where a counselor is on a microphone talking to the campers. When I would pick up my child from camp she would be cramped in between kids right next to the speaker with her hands covering her ears. The sound system is terrible and so loud, its not good for young kid's ears. They should have the speakers hooked up so that a child isn's being blasted by a counselor yelling into the mic. Most of the kids did not look like they were having a good time during this activity. And they seat the younger kids RIGHT next to the stage so they are subjected to this crappy sound system right into their ears. It sounds like the speakers are blown out b/c there a bunch of distortion as well. This isn't good planning nor is it young-kid-friendly. Not impressive folks. read more

Awesome camp to work at! I was so lucky to be apart of this camp for three years in a row. I still rave about it to this day. There was nothing but fun activities to do all day long for the campers. As an employee I really enjoyed getting To know and being friends with so many great people. What could you not love about a camp that has so much fun stuff? And I truly loved how every week they would have different themes going on like color wars!!!! If you are considering this camp for Your children or to work at don't think twice. Trust me. My family and I couldn't have been happier with Camp Keystone. My son is 6, and not necessarily social or outgoing. The counselors really helped him come out of his shell and facilitated him making new friends and trying new things. I can't say enough good things about the staff. We chose to drop him off rather then taking the bus. Upon arriving at the camp, we were guided where to park, greeted by 6 counselors at the entrance like he was running out of tunnel of a basketball game. The counselors giving hi fives, welcoming him to camp and getting other kids all pumped about their day. Then there is a very organized system of easy ups clearly labels with signs, information, lunch, first aid and medication drop off, and sign in. Each appropriately manned with happy counselors. I felt very secure dropping off my little dude. At pick up my ID was checked they radioed for my son to be escorted to my car. He jumps in and says to me "Best Day EVER!" He then told me all about his day of archery, go carts, water slide, swimming, watching funny skits, zip lines, and rock climbing all in ONE day! This all from a kid when I pick him up from school I ask about his day and he says "It was good" and leaves it at that. He begged us to sign him up for an additional week at the end of the summer. I can't tell you as a parent how happy it made me to take my shy introvert to Camp Keystone and pick up a confident, happy, and energized six year old at the end of the day. read more

This is my son's first summer at Camp Keystone. During our spring visit, I was impressed with the facilities and layout. I loved it as a dedicated camp space, not a spot usually used for another purpose, then made into summer camp. My experience I wanted to share was last Tues, when my son was having a particularly hard time saying goodbye to me. He followed me back out to the car. "Pop" came out to our car and started talking to my son about his feelings, just spending time. He successfully engaged my son and walked him back into camp. When I picked him up, he had had another great day and told me that Pop came to check on him frequently throughout the day. He said whenever he started to feel unsure, Pop appeared from around the corner! Thank you for taking the time w/ my son to help him feel comfortable. Having this be my fourth summer working at Camp Keystone, I can honestly say it is full of kind, hardworking, and passionate people who want nothing but the best for the kids. There is something new and exciting happening at camp every day. The Directors and staff work extremely hard to make sure these new activities, events and much more are special to the kids and leave them wanting more. Every week has a different themed week which gives everyone a chance to bring out their fun and crazy side. I love getting to know each camper and helping inspire them to be the best they can and Camp Keystone provides many opportunities to do that. read more

Today was my 8 yr old son's first day of Camp Keystone. When we arrived at the bus stop, the counselor immediately knew his name. But my son had not received a nametag or group name in the mail, as all the other campers on the bus had, so I was a bit concerned and called the camp office. The minute they answered the phone, the morning of a busy first day, they knew my son's name again (I guess by my phone number?) and were as patient and nice as could be when I know they must've been bombarded with calls and anxious parents. My daughter loves Camp Keystone! Between the zipline & waterslide it's a blast for any kid!!!!

This summer will be my 4th grade son's 3rd time at Keystone and my 2nd grade daughter's 2nd time at Keystone. There has always been a well trained staff on hand with the owner always present. This kids love all of the activities from horse riding to a large water slide and dodgeball. They have really enjoyed the competitions and end of day ceremonies. We have also attended many other day camp environments and this has been their favorite experience. We are looking forward to a camp sleepover this year. read more

After a horrible experience at another camp, we were so fortunate to find Camp Keystone. They've taken wonderful care of our twin boys (age 4.5), who come home every day with awesome stories about the water slide, rock wall, and cool counselors. I don't usually write reviews, but I saw some negative ones posted for Camp Keystone and as a long-time customer, I feel the need to share my great experiences. I have two older kids who moved around to different camps because we couldn't find the right combination of fun, great counselors, and organization. When my third child came along, we decided to give Keystone a try. It is very important to me that the counselors are well-trained, are focused on the kids (not on one another) and are friendly. We found all of that at Keystone. My son has loved every counselor he's had over the last five years, both at the camp and on the bus. They treat him with respect, are always friendly, and they are very responsible. My son always comes home tired, but happy. The camp offers a lot of activities and they have weekly themes where the kids can dress up. My son doesn't like to dress up, but he enjoys that the counselors always do. I have only had two occasions where I felt like I needed to provide some feedback to the camp director (both minor) and the response was immediate. Every business has blips; it's how they handle them that is important. In both cases, the director's response was quick and steps were taken immediately to remedy the situations. I'm sorry a few people had a negative experience, but we have had nothing but great experiences at Camp Keystone. My son now wants to be a camp counselor when he's old enough. That right there says it all. read more
