1 star for a good concept. In reality though, a dump. Upon arrival we saw the trailer with trash around it and the Home Depot sheds lined up across from the trailer packed in 3 ft from each other, one being the bathroom for the entire place. It was unclear where to check in or who to talk to. There was a group of women under the pavilion and I proceeded to find out who was in charge, all the time being scrutinized by the group, very unsettling. We were signed in and shown to our tent site. We got out of the car and were immediately overcome by the exhaust of the generator from the glamping site 75 ft. away. The noise we may have been able to deal with but not the exhaust. We decided this was unacceptable and went to check out. I told the owner we could smell exhaust and were told that was impossible because she had bought the best generators and I was the first EVER to mention this. Also I was told the generator was pointing away from our site making fumes impossible, huh? I was calm, relaxed, and just telling her that it wasnt going to work for us. The owner berated me excessively for mentioning this and quickly told me there was a no refund policy. I knew this and wasn't asking for one. I simply said this was unacceptable and proceeded to leave. As I was leaving the others under the pavilion chimed in and began berating me too! We left wondering what had just happened. Well, she took my money and didn't care at all about our experience. Zero hospitality skills! I hope the owner reads this. This is not the way to treat guests! WTH? read more

The camp sites were just a short walk down the trail from the main festival area, but far enough to be private. You could see the planning that had gone into this event as well as the hard work that the staff members were putting in during the day. I liked that all the fine print and camp rules were clearly stated in our confirmation email. The staff made us feel so welcome and were able to answer all the questions that we had both before and during our stay. I could never pick a favorite; all the vendors we met were knowledgeable and we enjoyed shopping as well as talking with each of them about their products. Two of the stand out vendors were Nature's Resolutions and of course Camp Laughing Grass's own table. If you find yourself in Maine, do yourself a favor and have one of Trinity's Lemon Raspberry Cup Cakes! We met new friends and were definitely a little sad to be leaving behind our beautiful river-view camp site on Sunday morning. This past summer my husband, myself and a friend had the best time at Camp Laughing Grass. My husband and I stayed in the purple cabin, it was an excellent choice for me. I am disabled and use a walker. The purple cabin was in the middle of everything important. I was close to the bathroom, the coffee and breakfast was right outside the door and I was close to the fire pit. The cabin was beautiful. Very clean, the bed was soft and comfortable and there were snacks!!! It was important to me that the cabin had electricity, it also had a ceiling fan and an ac unit. I wasn't up to walking the many trails around the camp but my husband enjoyed it very much and I enjoyed spending time with the other campers and camp staff. The bathroom was always clean. The walking areas were easy to manage with my walker. There is a step up to the cabins but it wasn't anything I couldn't manage myself. I was usually first up in the morning, it was my favorite part of the day, so pretty! I especially enjoyed starting my day off with the volcano. Something wonderful happens at camp, you can relax, enjoy the company of others or go off on your own adventure. This is a camp I would go to solo if I didn't know anyone who wanted to join me, everyone was extremely welcoming. We are already planning our trip back, we started planning our return while we were still at camp! read more

I have been waiting for this place my whole adult life!!! Do you love camping and enjoying thc with way less hassle than a regular campground? Camp Laughing Grass is your place. We have been three times and have made many wonderful memories. Tell you about it, you ask? Where do I start...the bathrooms are ALWAYS clean. May not seem like a big deal. But after kayaking, or playing cornhole, or just walking around the beautiful, HUGE property, a nice clean room to shower in is always a plus. The staff is amazing. Always happy to help!!! We even have a special s'mores box filled with the best goodies for the campfire. I get to enjoy activities I usually don't get to. Fishing, kayaking, exploring, sitting and just enjoying nature. Camp laughing Grass makes it more enjoyable. If you can only escape for a day, or weeks at a time...you will begin to look forward to your reprieve like my boyfriend and I do. I would share pictures. My boyfriend and I went to camp laughing grass September 2021, we had SO much fun! Trinity, the host, was so friendly and amazing! We were very surprised at how much we liked the community feeling of being all together with perfect strangers, but it was honestly so great when the world is already so distant! I think what they're doing at camp is wonderful and I can't wait to see the growth that is already beginning for next year! We will MOST DEFINITELY be back & with friends! Aside from our own experience, the facilities were clean & welcoming. There are things to do around camp as well, not just kayaking from camp in the river or the other activities found around camp. We spent a day by the lake at point sebego which is not a far drive from camp at all! There was a cool little dispensary close by too! I definitely would recommend going to camp! My boyfriend and I loved it so much, we got matching tattoos of the logo! read more

This is the most AMAZING oasis! It's like a Slice of heaven. So relaxed laid back and welcoming from pulling in to this hidden gem to being shown your cabin everything had a very " I'm finally home feeling". Trinity and Josh are an absolute delight and make you feel like you have known them forever from chatting over coffee and yogurt in the morning to taking a quick dip in the river it's like hanging out with friends! On top of the amazing cabins they have raised tent sites and good old fashion camping sites it's such a beautiful place and the laughing grass is such a bonus! I wish I could put feelings in a review because this place just made me feel soooo at peace even through all the crazy that is the world today. If you want to leave the chaos and just enjoy a little peace quite and laughing good time this is your place!!!! read more

I really don't get why this place doesn't have higher reviews, I've been 2x now and i absolutely love it here! We did a glamping tent the first time and then brought our own the second and I already plan to use the A frame cabin next year when it's ready! The whole place is dog friendly which I love too. The owner Trinity is lovely and answers any questions you have! Other reviews saying the staff weren't friendly but that was never my experience. Staff are wearing shirts that say STAFF. And the ice and wood are a help yourself/ honesty system. Only reason people might say staff aren't friendly is if they're not from New England lol. Bathrooms are super clean, the river is so fun and the smoking apparatus they have out to use are kept nice too. I would give it 10 stars if I could, can't wait to go back ! read more

Definitely what we were looking for relaxing and clean environment . we stayed in a glamping site our tent was like a magical Hershey kiss dropped in this killer location nestled in a great site with a view of the river kayaks and canoe provided if you like. Hot showers and bathrooms were extremely clean . but I'd say most important to the camping experience they provide coffee in the morning plus access to a gas grill as well as a flattop grille & a toaster.firewood for the taking on the honor system . but remember you are in Maine so bring all types of clothes and extra blankets for sure they have all the essentials to an amazing trip not to mention trinity and josh are so great can't wait to go back if you don't have a good time here THATS ON YOU ! read more

When we first pulled down the road. I thought to myself where in the world do we go. An there to my right up a slight incline, we find the dopest lil cabins. With beautiful colors. We were shown to our cabin and I fell in love. White Widow was the name of our cabin. I was amazed to see all cabins had ac in them. I wish we had stayed longer. Hoping next time we can book a few extra nights. The common area was always full with people from all parts of the camp ground clamping and regular camping. I recommend camp laughing grass hands down Nice place for some adults to go let go and just relax and enjoy the wilderness. read more

I stayed at CLG twice in the summer of 2021. I loved my stay so much that I was able to snag another stay for later in the summer. It did not disappoint either time!!! Trinity is the best hostess and was so friendly and kind with everything. The cabins are IMMACULATE!! The bed was so comfortable and the AC came in handy. The pavilion area was the place to be, well besides down by the river which is so serene and relaxing! Each time I went I met new friends and made new memories. This was definitely the best place I have taken my wife for her birthday. Trinity, Josh and Christine made us feel welcome and like we have known each other forever. When I went last year the owners creepy boyfriend was spouting off super conservative ideals and bragging to some ladies about being a good welder(who tf cares) when the owner wasn't around. My friend felt super creeped out and unsafe but was afraid to say anything. Place was a little dirty but the other campers were nice. The bathrooms were clean. Camp laughing grass was an amazing getaway for my family and I. From the 4:20 bake to the beautiful river this camp did deliver. The owner and staff were helpful and nice. Kayaks, canoes and floats were available for guests to use. My glamping site was very clean and close to the river. I would highly recommend a trip to this wonderful camp.
