Bazan Baldwin Oaks is an amazing Campground. The owner and his family and staff are so kind and welcoming and fun. The full time people interact like family or lifelong friends. The new owner has upgraded every square inch of the campground. There's a giant TV and the rec room as well as foosball, pool tables and ping-pong. There is also shuffleboard, pickle ball, basketball hoop, cornhole, and more. Weekends are a blast as they have themed events, including 80s weekend, superheroes, karaoke, with bingo games, cotton candy, movie night with popcorn, hay rides, scavenger hunts and more. read more

This was a great family campground to pitch a tent for the weekend. The atmosphere was very lively during the day and by night it was so quiet I forgot I was in a campground. The staff was super friendly and accomodating. I walked around the campground Saturday afternoon to find a mini garage sale going on, bingo in the pavilion and the pool was full of happy children. I even saw a hayride in the evening. What a cute place. I will definitely stay there again if I'm ever in the area. read more

There are mostly fulltimers living at this campground. The residents look like drug addicts and their rigs are broken down rusty hovels. The spaces are cramped and most are terribly difficult to get into. It advertised that there are full hookups. We counted 2 sewer lines in the entire campground. We paid for 3 nights but left after the first night not expecting a refund. read more

We have stayed here seasonally for the past 3 years. The property and amenities are well taken care of by the owner and staff and they will do whatever they can to help you and make your stay great! We've seen Dan the owner climb on top of a trailer to put an antenna down for someone. We just can't say enough about the hospitality of the owner and staff as well as the campers themselves who are great people! Dan always answers his phone calls even sometimes on his day off- he really puts a priority on the needs of his campers. [created 2nd Yelp acct - so reposting and deleting old reviews] 2/1/2009 + Inexpensive + Very convenient for those who can't travel far to go camping. + Even though it's next to an intersection, you don't really hear the traffic. + They have a pool. - I gave such a low rating because we didn't feel welcome. The owner was quite rude/curt when a friend (visiting from out of town) and I showed up to go camping; she was turning us away saying, "Well, this is a FAMILY camp". We were college age and I think she assumed we were going to be the party-type because she was stressing that they don't do parties there. After speaking with her a few minutes, she allowed us to camp there [we orignially were going to go up north but weather was iffy and this was close to home]. Maybe the owner had a lot of stress or something. Who knows, you may like the place and enjoy yourselves. Other than having to hear this lady's attitude as she interacted with people, we really did have a nice time. I almost want to up my rating but customer service is that important to me. read more

This campground changed ownership so I wish the old reviews could get deleted - they really don't reflect the current camp. We stayed there for 6 weeks this spring while waiting to close on our house. We watched Dan, the owner, work all day every day on every aspect of the campground. He's made so many improvements and he has to be one of the nicest people I've met in a while. My husband and I enjoyed our time there and while it's not on a lake, you can't beat the monthly pricing. If you're looking for peace and quiet, swing sets and a pool, shady trees, and an owner who takes care of problems on the spot, the visit Baldwin Oaks. My only regret is that Dan never gets a night off and can't come over to our new lakehouse for dinner! His family that helps out is super sweet too - just a lovely group of people. read more

The wife & I are tourists from Australia & have been traveling this big beautiful country through the last 3 summers & have never had a problem or written a bad review, however on arrival at this campground after securing a spot by phone, the lady owner took one look at our 40ft motorhome said the graphics were unacceptable & promptly asked me to leave the property, I couldn't wait to get the hell outta there. read more

Family campground that's friendly, and all campers were respectful. I was impressed that even kids riding bikes were respectful of others that were walking. The pool was nice and it was fun to play shuffleboard. Hay rides for the kids in the evening. The restrooms could have been cleaned more often. The wastebasket was overflowing most of the time, but just needed the paper toweling to be pushed down. Not a great concern. All in all, a good campground, close to the city. read more

I camped here as a kid a few summers 12 years ago. Our family decided to return last weekend and wished we would of stayed home. Wish old owners were still there. Bathroom was not cleaned ALL weekend, also ran out of toilet paper. We had to provide our own hand soap. Showers looked like they haven't been cleaned in years. Did not see management/ owner the entire weekend. Where there was once a video game arcade is sitting with unplugged games and a small "library". Please save the trip and camp anywhere else. Hope it gets shut down I have no idea how this passes inspection. read more

Checked in at the office and they were handy out free cotton candy to the kids. He brought over a picnic table to our site and invited us to put the fire ring wherever we wanted. Pool and game room were packed. We came back after dark and the place was silent. Had a church service the next morning. read more

I will never recommend this campground to anyone. We have been treated horribly since the beginning of our stay. Our daughters were accused of vandalizing the women's bathrooms which they did not. It turned out to be other campers there. We were accused of using a computer to "crash her WiFi" which we never used a laptop because her FREE WiFi didn't even reach our campsite. We were accused of not picking up dog poop, which we did miss one pile and picked it up immediately. The second pile we were accused of is a place our TIED UP dog cannot even reach. It should be noted the camper next to us has a dog who does not get tied up and can reach that spot. We came to stay here temporarily between the sale of our house and the purchase of our new house. We are clean and respectable people. We have very well mannered children and we were always in our trailer. The female owner just had it out for us from the beginning. I've observed her be unfriendly to many people there as well. I would wave and smile when we were first there only for her to look the other way once realizing who was coming in. She is not a nice person and made our camping experience completely awful!! I recommend any other campground besides this one. Apparently I have to select at least one star to post my rating, but please know I do this begrudgingly and only agree to the one star to get my review out there read more

The only thing that holds it back from a five is the shower house. The water is hard so it makes everything look bad like it isn't clean but they are. Everyone from owner to campers are great. I will be back!!!! The sites are plenty big also. read more

TERRIBLE experience. Owner is rude and office was filthy. The ower drove up on her golft cart and asked us to leave because of complaints of our dogs barking without any sort of warning then quickly drove away. Maybe our dogs wouldn't have barked if people werent walking all over our site with flashlights looking for sticks, karoake and people yelling shut up at midnight! That's okay though. Poorly cared for seasonals and dirty sites. Shouldn't say its a family campground not welcoming at all! $31 a night is a rip off to stay here. I find it funny there is a pic of a camper with a dog when she obviously doesn't like dogs. read more

Nice price but get ready for drama esp if you stay all season. The owner seems to have a bipolar god-complex. She easily changes her mind with her mood and doesn't seem to keep her word. What she allows one day may be not allowed the next week. We still don't know if we will be allowed to stay the whole season or not. Also Note that she charges extra money each day she thinks you are running a heater or air conditioning. The owner is very strict with kids. Definitely not a friendly place. We would not be here if we could afford to go elsewhere. read more

The campground facilities are outdated and barely maintained. Sadly, the facilities are the best thing about this campground. The owner is ill-mannered, rude, and hostile. In addition to being rude to customers, she has also created an adversarial relationship with the local community. The duplicate yelp account and the owner's refusal to allow reviews on either Facebook or TripAdvisor now make sense. Don't make our mistake, choose one of the many other beautiful Michigan campgrounds for your next outdoor adventure. read more
