The lodge has a bar, usually has food (during non covid times) and a pool table. You can enjoy a bonfire with the owners or just chill with your family. The area is beautiful, 5 minutes from phenomenal rafting and 25 minutes from the cute up and coming downtown Clayton. WiFi sucks, but the guy who took us to our sight went and got a loaner router from the office and helped hook it up. Office, clubhouse, pool area and facilities were all very nice and new. The pads are concrete are fairly level. The bad Or original site was someone's driveway. There was a tree overgrowing the driveway on the same side I had to back that made it a challenge to get into the sight. Once in the tree dropped crap all over our toad. The view from our right side window was the side of the building who's driveway we had parked in. My awning almost touched the building and there was very little room outside of our door. The WiFi here didn't work, nor did the cable connection for the tv. They did move us at our request to another open sight. So if you're planning on coming here you have to specifically ask if you're going to be in someone's driveway, because they won't offer that information and the site map doesn't show which lots have buildings on them. If you're looking for peace and quite, this is not the place for you. There is ongoing constructing between the heavy equipment clearing the property for more sites, or the constant banging of people repairing or having new permanent units worked on. Overpriced at $70.00 a day plus extra to be on the creek. We found a much nicer, quieter place in Hiawasee for 35.00 a night with riverfront sights at no extra cost. There's a reason for the 30 day cancellation notice. We tried to get out of our second week to go somewhere else, but they wouldn't allow it. Needless to say, we won't be back. I came here on a very hot summer day with the plans to see some waterfalls. We got here around…read more8:30am which I believe is when the park opens. We took the South Rim (At least I think it was the South Rim) and went to all 5 viewing points which is a flat walk and a round trip of about 1.5 miles. Then we went down into the Gorge which includes 1,099 steps (actual staircase) to the bottom and of course that many steps back up. You can't go all the way to the Gorge floor without a permit but that just means you can only walk down 1,089 steps to a platform. There are plenty of places to stop including a very cool suspension bridge that overlooks Hurricane Falls. This was pretty tough for a 50-year-old fat boy like me but it's doable if you can simply climb stairs. The views are amazing and worth the quads burning for the next 3 days. The visitor's center is really nice. There is of course a gift shop. a huge display of taxidermy of all the local wildlife and a very nice museum that goes through the history of the region. The most important part is they have air conditioning. Suck it up, take the stairs and buy the t-shirt saying you did it when you are done.

One of the unique features is that the back deck has large tree trunks coming through the floor and roof. They add to the treehouse atmosphere, although they aren't actual live trees and do sway, so don't plan on hanging a camping hammock from them. One thing to know before booking is that there's a short hike down to the cabin from the parking area, about 1-2 minutes on a downward slope trail with rocks. We packed light, so it wasn't an issue, but it could be an unpleasant surprise for elderly guests or anyone bringing heavy luggage. The treehouse cabin next door, River Pines, has a shorter walk, and the other regular cabins have parking at the cabin. The back deck overlooks the river as well as a few long-term RV sites. There is a path behind the cabin leading toward the river, but the waterfront areas directly behind the cabin are occupied by the leased RV sites. To access the river, walk to the right toward the tubing entrance, or continue past the playground and bathhouse to the main riverfront common area, which is also a convenient tubing exit point. There's parking near the common area, making it easy to bring coolers, chairs, floats, fishing supplies and other gear for an afternoon by the water. The tubing was the main event and very relaxing. The website listing is somewhat vague, but the cabin does include linens (sheets and bath towels), kitchen basics (dishes, utensils, cookware, dish wash basics), a refrigerator, small oven/stove, microwave, toaster, broom and charcoal grill. Bring your own pool towels and shower essentials. A few downsides: there is no fire pit, only 1 parking spot, and the main bedroom mattress has poor support and dips in the middle. Some arcade machines were broken or took quarters without working. The biggest drawback was the value. Our stay came out to more than $600 for two nights after the cleaning fee. The $95 cleaning fee felt steep considering guests are asked to wash and put away dishes, leave the cabin tidy, and take out trash. This price would be worth it if it had designated river access directly behind the unit. The campground is largely RV residential. Overall, it's a unique and enjoyable place to stay, especially if you're visiting nearby Tallulah Gorge State Park. We enjoyed our stay as a one time experience. The front office staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our friends stayed in the honey bear cabin, which was about a 10 min walk from Rushing Waters. Although not as charming or spacious as Rushing Waters, we liked their screened porch, extra bedroom and easy access as you can park right in front of it. Plus, it has a firepit.

In fact, most of the people there brought one or two dogs. The lots vary in size from canvas tent and car all the way to travel bus. It's great for a weekend trip away from the city noise!

We rented a beautiful Alliance Paradigm 382rk that is always parked at the River Vista RV Park in Dillard GA (GREAT PLACE). The RV is a 2023 BUT it looks brand new as they take such good care of it. It was spotless when we arrived and everything worked perfectly. The kitchen is HUGE and the King bed was so comfortable! Torri was so easy to reach when we had questions and made the entire process seamless. We absolutely loved the River Vista RV park- most are Full time owners and they are the nicest folks you'll ever meet. If you want to experience RV living you should rent this RV at River Vista, you'll have a blast! We can not wait to come back!

The camping area is compact and has a lot of kids on bikes, people walking around, and lots of boat/fishing action. The bathhouse seemed to be well maintained and clean. Don't miss Hemlock Falls across the street as it's a gorgeous hike with a beautiful falls. This is all we saw of the park this time, but hope to be back to explore more and to get on the water.
