Cute clean place. Love the feel of camping along the trees with the luxury of man made comfort. The only thing I wasn't fond of is there is nothing walking distance including the river beach axcess or restaurants and there are no taxi type services in town.

Cast iron provided in room

Had a little weekend getaway with some girlfriends and it was all of our first times. We've never glamped in RVs before. The trailers were equipped with an electric tea kettle, instant coffee, creamer, dish ware, a cast iron for the grill and a fridge. Only thing missing was a stove. The communal space had a toaster, coffee and tea in the AM and granola. FYI we brought a tub of yogurt and the granola went perfectly together. The premises was very clean and the friendly staff was always ready to answer questions and give recommendations of what to visit outside of the camp.

Outside fire pit, you can only burn compressed wood. Hot tub in back

AIRSTREAM glamping in the redwoods. If you search during Black Friday you'll find deals for 40% off, we've tried the Yosemite location but really loved the Russian River one. There were less people at Autocamp, hikes, and restaurants. The Airstreams have been remodeled with one queen bed and a sofa to sleep on so it was fine for 2 adults and 2 children. It's not heated so if you take a shower late at night it's very cold. Because of the aluminum material and insulated ceiling rain is also super loud. They have a lounge you can hang out at and buy wood and basic camping supplies but we brought our own things to cook since there is a small kitchen and fire pit outside and knew what we wanted to eat. You can only burn compressed wood logs in the fire pits and I find it burns faster and food cooked on it doesn't taste as good. Still nice to have a nice outdoor fire. My wife surprised me and our rental had a wood-heated outdoor tub that I loved relaxing in and staring up at the stars. The outdoor tub you can use real wood in the small furnace attached to heat the tub since it's enclosed and less risk of an ember flying out.

We didn't think we'd enjoy our stay as much as we did. Great way to disconnect from the world. We visited during Labor Day weekend, and was expecting it to be super busy. Such an intimate location. Only a few air streams and tents. Each tent/auto stream has their own seating area and fire pit. They recently connected with Hilton honors, so if you have status--they provide you firewood and a smores kit. For breakfast, they provide you granola and coffee/tea/hot cocoa. Also plenty of parking. They have free charging on site, only downside is that it is first come first serve. Super dog friendly. We loved our stay! We're already trying to plan our next trip.

Took the family to Autocamp Russian River and it did not disappoint! We had such a fantastic time! The camp itself was clean and beautiful. We stayed during the week and we found that there were a lot of areas to spread out and it didn't feel overly crowded. The airstream was clean and a bit more spacious than I had expected, as it was wider than I imagined. Our two teenage sons were able to sleep on the pull down sofa and they said it was quite comfortable. Our campsite had outdoor chairs, a table, and fire pit. The size of the outdoor space depends on your particular site. There are definitely spaces that are larger than others. For breakfast, granola, coffee, and hot chocolate are provided. The community lodge was a nice place to spend time to drink coffee, read, and play board games. I looked forward to going each morning. A huge shoutout to the staff who were all wonderful! Everyone at the front desk made us feel very welcome. They were so kind to our children! There are basketball courts and tennis courts available. Just ask the front desk and they happily provided the equipment for use. Our kids were very happy. I highly recommend taking a bike ride (bikes provided by the Autocamp) through the surrounding neighborhood. It was a loop about 2 miles in length and so much fun! They also gave us a lot of suggestions of things to do in surrounding Guerneville, which is such a beautiful community! Overall, the stay can get a bit pricey, but it was for the experience. We had such a good time, and definitely plan on making a return visit!

I loved my experience at AutoCamp. I have not been camping before so this was a great experience where we were still in nature but still had amenities such as a personal bathroom, shower, queen bed, etc. The airstream itself was clean and comfortable fit 2-3 people. During the summer season, they book up quickly so I would check out availability months out rather than last minute. When I was there, lots of family brought their young children. There are activities around such as going to the river that are family friendly. A selling fact for me is that you're able to bring your fur babies! Only thing they ask if for you to keep them leashed. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I would love to check out their other locations.

AutoCamp has been on my list for a VERY long time. No particular location in mind, I just knew I wanted to experience some time there. This was a spur of the moment trip and it turned out to be an amazing experience. We just kept telling each other how grateful we were to get away and "unplug" for a couple days. Spent one evening at the coast in Jenner since it is only about 29 mins away. That was beautiful!Highly recommend catching at least one sunset there. The staff - Laurel & Blythe, were awesome! So helpful and enjoyed giving their personal recommendations to places around town. You could tell how proud they were to work there and that they really loved the grounds. Coffee and Granola available in the lobby starting at 7:30am. We loved our stay and will be back!

Redwood Suite with hot tub

Staying at Autocamp Russian River was the most beautiful experience! My husband and I visited for our honeymoon, and the staff was so sweet and welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. The location is quiet and peaceful, and is centralized around the downtown area, beach, river, and hiking areas. We got the Redwood suite with the wood fired hot-tub and it was absolutely worth it. A great way to unwind after a long day of adventure. I want to shout out every staff member by name: Laurel greeted us upon check in, and even took the time to text me before arrival and offer to start the hot-tub in advance since it takes a couples hours to heat up. Todd was servicing our hot-tub throughout our stay and was amazing. He was very friendly and took the time to chat with us every time he came by. Blythe took the time to write us a card congratulating us on our marriage and even provided a couple of gifts (wine vouchers and bath soaks) She was super sweet and I loved chatting with her. And last but certainly not least, Jill helped us make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay and helped us switch out some of our cooking utensils throughout our stay. She was also incredibly friendly and I enjoyed chatting with her while grabbing coffee in the morning. Our suite was quaint, but comfortable, and we loved having everything provided to us except food of course. It was easy to purchase firewood on site for the fire pit and super fun cooking over an open flame. If you are looking for a camping experience without all the hassle, this is a great option! We have nothing but good things to say about our stay and look forward to returning soon. This location is a gem with amazing staff!

I can see how AutoCamp can have biased reviews due to one's preference of camping styles! So yes, if you're a Glamper 5 stars. Very clean, cozy, everything you need within 2 miles (Safeway less then 5 mins away), air conditioned airstreams, warm showers, lobby has many essentials you may need! We came here for a weekend with a group of us. We rented 3 airstreams and were able to be right next to each other. Kids loved it, we played volleyball on the grass, cards in the lobby, s'mores at night. The grounds are smaller than expected meaning the airstreams are pretty much stacked next to each other, you get privacy but I just didn't expect them that close. It made it nice to let your kids run away while feeling safe and it is a locked and fenced in, and felt very safe. AutoCamp is in the middle of a neighborhood which was also unexpected. I mean, from the play area you can see townhomes and a bunch of cars right outside the gates. But I guess if you block all that out you can imagine you're more secluded than you actually are. The staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Yes, one guy was not so friendly and watching folks which made it uncomfortable . Yoga in the teepee was extra surprising and a great experience! Kelly Anne was amazing and had our morning started off just right. Would definitely return with my folks who are more of Glamper. We love actual camping camping so it's nice to have this option as well.

We have been to this particular location and other Autocamp locations previously so we were excited to take a quick getaway for Mother's Day. Arrived at the property a little after 3:30 and we understood was a little early for their 4PM check in, but were rudely informed we were early and our room was not ready. 4PM came and went, and the room continued to not be ready...it wasn't until almost 5 (4:53PM) to be exact that our room was ready. While waiting, our kids and other kids from other families also waiting for their rooms were belittled and made not feel welcomed by the staff (even though everyone was patiently waiting for the rooms). From the grounds keeper constantly coming to the hammocks to check if the kids were swinging (while the parents were around supervising their own children), I saw them yell at a 2 year old toddler that was riding their little balance bike that no bikes are allowed on property. But perhaps the worst was when my own toddler daughter couldn't find us on the other side of the lobby and started to cry on Monday morning and the older front desk lady instead of checking on her, started to scream at her for crying and telling her to keep quiet... Luckily, we were on the other side of the lobby getting coffee and were able to comfort our daughter. For $400+ a night, we expected to relax and enjoy the grounds, and not feel like we were a burden to the hotel. Either make the property adult only, or adjust to having kids around. Note: As a Hilton Gold, I am not sure why Hilton has partnered with them as getting points or any benefits they make you jump through hoops for it.

Free bike rentals. There wasn't a real safe bike path for kids but adults could definitely ride around town.

This place was so nice! It's very well kept, clean, we loved the common area and staff. All the staff working the front each shift were so attentive, polite, friendly, quick to assist with any questions. They really made it a wonderful experience. The airstream was perfect! It came with everything we needed. The only things I could say to make the experience even better: Offer movie night on the grass area or by the hammocks early evening. Change out the barstools in the common area, they are not that comfortable. Other than that, the common area bathroom and showers is very Spa like! The complimentary wine tasting, live music, breakfast granola, tea, coffee is wonderful! I'd come back here again and again! Thank you for making our family trip comfortable and unforgettable!

Henry L.

A great spot if you need to get away from the city and have a glamping experience. Since all the Airstreams are equipped with a full kitchen, all you need to bring are foods, drinks, ingredients for cooking. You will also have an outdoor dining area as wells The airstreams are hooked up to water systems, and there are showers and a standard toilet/sink in the bathroom. They did a nice job making the airstreams more chic and elegant. The fan systems don't seem to work well, and I've found this to be a common problem among a lot of airstreams. But you can just pop open the windows for the same effect. The fire pits and amenities are a very nice touch, to add sone glamour to the outdoor experience.

Ask the Community - AutoCamp Russian River

We are going to auto camp soon and would like to bring our own firewood. Totally understand the regular real wood is not allowed -- what type of wood/ products is allowed to use over there ? Is duraflame log allowed too?

Yes Duraflame was okay. We asked the front desk and this is what they told us.

Are the fire pits gas? And if it's not, does someone help start them for you?

No, not with gas. They have starters for you for free.

Does the Airstream lodging have a toaster and/or microwave?

Only a microwave; no toaster. There is a toaster in the clubhouse during breakfast and pastries!

How is the parking next to the premium airstream setup, tree sap droppings?

Parking is just one main lot right when you enter. There aren't any trees where the cars are parked.

Does Autocamp Guernevill have EC chargers? If so, how many? TIA

It looks like they have a limited number of EV changers, per the website they have one Tesla and one regular.

What time is check in & check out?

Check in is between 4pm and 8pm, checkout is 11am

How close is it from the Russian river? Can we fish at the river?

We are located on Hulbert Creek, about 1/2 mile from the Russian River. Yes, you can fish on the river, however there are many restrictions such as barbless, hooks, day licenses, etc. so it best to contact King's Sport & Tackle in downtown… Read more

Is this place open? And what are the covid restrictions?

Yes, we have reopened all locations since early February. Please take a look at our Covid Policy on our website at https://autocamp.com/covid-19/… Read more

Can we fit 2 pack n plays in the airstream (for twin boys to sleep in)?

Only 1 pack n play will fit in an Airstream

Hi, I see some reviews saying you provide free wood or do you have to buy your own?

We do not permit firewood (oak, fir or pine logs) to be burned at AutoCamp.  This is in consideration of Mother Earth and the smoke factor wood logs emit.   As an alternative, we sell a product called GoodWood, compressed sawdust logs in a burlap… Read more

Is there a place to fish nearby?

Yes, there are many fishing holes along the Russian River, and of course, the Pacific Ocean is just 12 miles away. Contact King's Sport and Tackle in Guerneville ( (707) 869-2156) for day license, bait, what's currently running, fishing holes and… Read more

Is kayaking included or is that run by a separate company at the river?

You'll have to rent separately from another business, but the camp does have recommendations!

What are some of your favorite restaurants close to AutoCamp? For dinner

boon eat&drink is a top contender. No reservations taken. Others include Main Street Bistro for good food and complimentary music, as well, Betty Spaghetti has great food.

What are some good things to bring to cook? is there a restaurant or food on site or alcohol to buy on site?

We were only here for 3 nights and decided to just eat at places nearby. They do have items for sale at the camp - both food and drinks (wine and such). There are a few restaurants a short distance away as well as a grocery store.

Is the biking trail easy? How long is it? Can the bike seat be lowered for a 10 year old almost 5 feet tall?

There is not a biking trail at the Russian River. Biking is on the streets. We offer 2 sizes of bikes, medium and large. A youth almost 5 feet should have no problem with the medium bike's adjustable seat.

Anyone else have trouble with the website and booking? I click on a day to check in and my check out date is in not available, this place needs to get their website working correctly.

The spaces book up very quickly. If you email them, they can add you to a waitlist.. if your checkout date is not an option, it's likely that only part of your desired stay has availability..

Can you fit a small pack n play inside the airstream?

Hi Kattie - You sure can! Mark

It was nicely located with good shade during peak heat hours. No matter where you stay, the river is walking accessible and there is day parking if you need to transport bigger things like your canopy and water toys, etc. This time around, we chose to stay at E since our trip was longer and we wanted the full hookups and have a fenced area for our dogs. It's a great site if you have kids since it is right across from a playground. Since E wasn't available for our whole trip, we moved over to a standard RV site (water, electric, no sewage) for our last night. We were originally assigned A but staff were super helpful and flexible in allowing us to change to C1 which had better shade for the 92 degree forecast of the day. We also set up a tent for the evening and slept under the stars. It was perfect! Our in-laws also came for part of the trip and stayed in a cute cottage (beds only). Casini is awesome because there are so many different options for lodging that you can definitely find what works best for you and your family. The river is so refreshing on a hot day. Keep in mind the floor is gravelly/pebbly, so I would recommend water shoes for the best comfort. They also have golf carts and other water play things to rent. The general store is stocked very well so if you forget something, it's highly likely to be available there. They also have events scheduled through the week. Not sure if it changes, but I noticed Tuesday was pretty full of events - ice cream social, tractor ride, and movie night.

We stayed in an RV site and had an enjoyable time overall. One thing to note is that pricing trends on the higher side, especially if you have more than the standard four people in your group. However, there are several convenient amenities available, including on-site propane fills, firewood delivery, and four EV charging stations. The EV chargers were particularly convenient and cost about $30 for an 8-hour charging session. The campground does an excellent job creating activities for younger children. Between the jump pad, animals to feed, movie nights, ice cream socials, river access, basketball courts, and open spaces to play, it's easy to see why families come here in big numbers. Teenagers may find there are fewer activities specifically geared toward their age group, but there is still plenty to keep them occupied. My two teenage children had never kayaked before, and renting kayaks on the Russian River ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The shower and restroom facilities were also very clean and well-maintained. We only used the shower facility near the beach access area, but it was in excellent condition. Showers are coin-operated and cost four quarters for six minutes, with each additional quarter adding 1.5 minutes of shower time. The general store was well-stocked with camping essentials, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. One thing I appreciated was the variety of camping options available. Whether you're looking for a simple tent site, a full-hookup RV site, a group area, or a more upgraded setup with amenities like gazebos and BBQs, there seems to be something for just about every style of camper and budget. Our site had full hookups, and everything worked as expected. For those staying in sites without sewer connections, there are convenient dump stations on the property. River access is one of the campground's strongest features. Getting down to the Russian River is easy, and the shoreline has a very gradual, shallow entry that makes it especially appealing for families with younger children. As always, parents should supervise their kids around water, but there is plenty of room for children to play and explore safely. AT&T cell service was excellent throughout our stay. The campground also offers free Wi-Fi, although we never needed to use it. This is definitely a family-oriented campground. Thursday night was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Once the weekend crowd arrived on Friday, the atmosphere became much more active. One thing future visitors should be aware of is the large number of children riding bikes and moving throughout the campground. Drivers and pedestrians alike should stay alert, as kids frequently dart across roads and campsites. We also found that quiet hours were not enforced as strictly as advertised. Beginning around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, groups of children were already riding bikes and making enough noise to wake nearby campers. Sunday morning was somewhat better--perhaps everyone was a little more tired after a busy weekend--but it was still noticeably louder than what we expected during posted quiet hours. Overall, Casini Ranch knows exactly what it is: a family campground. If you're looking for a quiet, adults-focused camping experience, a busy summer weekend may not be the best fit. If you're bringing children and want easy river access, clean facilities, plenty of activities, and a campground that caters to families, it's easy to see why so many people return year after year. Despite a few frustrations with early morning noise, we had a great stay and would happily come back. I would still rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

The site was large and flat which made backing our trailer in very easy. It had a fire pit, grill, and picnic table. It was a short walk to the river's edge and beach which also had a huge grass are that you could sit on near the river. We took a great hike which was less than 2 miles from the campground where we hiked up to a ridge and could see the ocean. After the hike my husband used the very large hot tub. We didn't use the family area or adult area but looked at it. It had games, books, pool table and other things to do. The fitness room was on the back side of the building and had enough equipment to do a good workout. We went midweek so there were not very many campers so it was very quiet and peaceful. Only thing we had to watchout for was poison oak. The staff was there cutting it back in many sites. All in all it was a great stay. Staff was friendly and available for questions, facilities were good (bathroom was very clean and spacious), and campsites were large.
