$475 a night I expected more. The vibes are nice and the staff is nice. It's woodsy and relaxing. I am not a big on spending this much money for a hotel so as someone that counts every penny and this is the first time I've ever spent this much on a hotel I expected more. Idk how the rich people do it and my money could go so much further. After spending this much money I would rather own something on the block and have the rich people rent from my airbnb. In my humble opinion, it is not worth $500 a nice. I appreciate Hilton Honors for including this in their portfolio so I could get a taste of the hype. I would not come back again even to one of the more enticing locations. This was once in a lifetime and it is underwhelming. If you come as a diamond member you receive 2 waters a day, a s'mores kit, firewood and skewers. Nice free perk because we came here on an impromptu adventure and didn't plan ahead. Dog friendly property for $75 per a dog. Dog poop bags everywhere on the premise and you get a welcome bowl and blanket. You do not get it if you bring a service animal. Not sure if that is fair and is life fair?! read more

Overall I'd say we had an okay stay. The property is beautiful and well kept, the main building is very nice, and it's very close to the the little downtown and the river. There are some really good restaurants nearby and also a Safeway just down the road. Our unit - #9 - had a bathroom sliding barn door for the bathroom that was hard to slide open and closed. We had to shove it open, then shove to the side to get it opened enough for us to pass through. On our second night the A/C unit was dripping water/condensation onto us and the floor (photo will be included). It wasn't a lot of water, once I wiped it away it didn't do it again. On the second day I also discovered that the mini-fridge had water at the base of the inside so some of the groceries I bought were wet. In the kitchen area, the cabinets were sticky and the trash under the sink was still there from the last people who stayed there. The bathroom door that was not sliding well at all was the most annoying part. Overall none of these things are that bad, but for the price that they charge I expect more - especially with so many minor issues piled up. Most of these things we didn't realize until after we had everything in the unit and were settled, so requesting to move would have been a hassle too. The good is that the bedroom was nice - storage was good, the bed was comfy and clean and overall the space felt nice. I will suggest if you're in a premium Airstream and will have more than two people - for example, kids or a third or fourth adult - sleeping on the sofa, I'd suggest bringing a sleeping bag for them to sleep on/in. They supply a flat sheet, pillow and blanket, but nothing to wrap the sofa/futon in. Mine is not the popular opinion here, but this is a one and done experience with AutoCamp given what we got out of the price that we paid. read more

Air Streams are cool but for the price, it is all not worth it. Doing it once is ok but not again. Even with a $100 off sale, it was $300. It is considered glamping but the hot water in shower ran out fast, not much to do in lodge, main group gas fire pit kept going out (front desk said it needs to be fixed) and for the price that fire should be going 24/7 and be fixed ASAP if broken. Also, they are very strict on firewood. Must be compressed or hardened wood. I understand this rule as regular wood tends to put off embers and so is a higher fire risk than compressed wood like Duraflame, but the guy who noticed my regular wood (before I realized the rule) and who lectured me about it was kind of douchey. They sell some but at more than double to triple what you can get it for at store. It is upselling at that price which is off-putting. So basically $400 in an Airstream and not near water or accessible lake or stream is a bit rude and glamping amenities not great...worth max $200. Coffee was good though Next time I camp will be with the state or book with Hip Camp. There is a very cool restaurant down the road called Saucy Mamas. Definitely check it out. read more

It was beautiful. You feel like you're in nature but somehow still close to the city at the same time. The place was spotless, and being under those huge redwoods was honestly magical. It felt very safe, and the staff were super kind and helpful. The woman at the front desk helped us plan a route, and thanks to her we ended up having an amazing two days. Guerneville is SO beautiful, we'll definitely be back. Korbel is literally next door and we loved it, so if you stay here, don't skip it. The only downside --and honestly it's kind of a big one -- is how extremely close the airstreams are to each other. Yes, you can't really see inside and there is visual privacy, but you come here for the forest, the trees, the fresh air... and then there's another aistream right next to you. It feels a bit like camping, but make it packed. I really wish they had fewer trailers with more space between them, because the setting itself is incredible. People come here to disconnect and spread out a little, not to feel like sardines in the woods. read more

Funny, I now read reviews at $500 a night, ours was $800 a night! And really no amenities to speak of, you had to pay for wood, s'mores, etc. I would have thought for the price, autocamp would provide you a raft or something for the river? The staff could be a bit friendlier in my opinion, I heard a woman at the front desk call someone an idiot after she hung up the phone? Had a little weekend getaway with some girlfriends and it was all of our first times. We've never glamped in RVs before. The trailers were equipped with an electric tea kettle, instant coffee, creamer, dish ware, a cast iron for the grill and a fridge. Only thing missing was a stove. The communal space had a toaster, coffee and tea in the AM and granola. FYI we brought a tub of yogurt and the granola went perfectly together. AIRSTREAM glamping in the redwoods. If you search during Black Friday you'll find deals for 40% off, we've tried the Yosemite location but really loved the Russian River one. There were less people at Autocamp, hikes, and restaurants. The Airstreams have been remodeled with one queen bed and a sofa to sleep on so it was fine for 2 adults and 2 children. It's not heated so if you take a shower late at night it's very cold. Because of the aluminum material and insulated ceiling rain is also super loud. They have a lounge you can hang out at and buy wood and basic camping supplies but we brought our own things to cook since there is a small kitchen and fire pit outside and knew what we wanted to eat. You can only burn compressed wood logs in the fire pits and I find it burns faster and food cooked on it doesn't taste as good. Still nice to have a nice outdoor fire. My wife surprised me and our rental had a wood-heated outdoor tub that I loved relaxing in and staring up at the stars. The outdoor tub you can use real wood in the small furnace attached to heat the tub since it's enclosed and less risk of an ember flying out. read more

What a cool place to glamp! The Who: My friend Lauren's large (12) group of girls The What: My friend's Bachelorette Party The When: End of May 2025, Checked in Friday afternoon, Checked out Sunday morning. The good: Staff was amazing. Check in process was super easy. My friend Becca and I stayed in an airstream together and we got Airstream 6. Ours was a "higher tech" one, in that we didn't have an actual key to the airstream, ours had a keypad. This was super convenient! The airstream was clean and ready for us. Staff had gone in before our arrival and turned on the air con unit to start cooling it off. Airstream 6 was covered by trees so it cooled off quicker than others (another duo in our friend group stated their airstream took longer to cool off). The airstreams are cozy. For Becca and I, it was the perfect space. If we had been a "family of four" or had a kid or dog with us, the airstream would definitely feel a little cramped. But the airstream is not where the action is! There are two fire pits, one in the reception area and one out of the back. They are propane powered. The one outside was on in the mornings and evenings. I wasn't in the reception/main lobby area much so I can't speak to the fire pit there. There is a small "snack bar" area with some charcuterie and smores fixings. If you're coming, definitely come prepared to bring your own food. There is a breakfast provided of sorts in the morning, coffee and granola, so if you're looking for more sustenance, get groceries. The property itself is STUNNING. The lush green of the trees really seclude you from anything else around. There is a gate to enclose the property, so no strangers come wandering in. There is also a small gravel parking lot, however there are no lines designating spaces. After our group returned from an outing the Saturday we were there, there weren't enough parking spaces for us. I went inside and spoke with the Staff member, and she stated there were no patrons that weekend that needed the handicap spaces, so we were OK to park there. There are two reservable spaces next to the gravel parking lot, a picnic space and a cool yurt/tent thing. Saturday evening we had those spaces for an outdoor dinner and then we had a movie night in the yurt. The "Bad": I really have no complaints, at the counter space where the breakfast bar is located, there is a sink with a water spigot to fill water bottles. The water was not cool/chill at all. As it was end of May, it was HOT, and I desperately wished for cold water. The airstreams do come with mini fridges. Another "bad" was that airstream 6 was a little sloped, so the door to the bedroom area kept wanting to close on me and Becca. I ended up using one of the canned waters that was waiting for us upon check in as a door prop, so that the air con could reach the bedroom. If you're coming in summer, bring bug spray! There are definitely bugs in the area that were eating some of us girls alive as we hung around the fire pit Friday evening. That's more a sign of the area, lush and I think a river ran past the Autocamp property, and not a 'bad' on Autocamp. No uglies to report. Overall, would recommend. It was a beautiful venue, friendly staff, and Guerneville is a cute little town! There are plenty of wineries to visit in the area if you're interested in wine tasting. read more

We didn't think we'd enjoy our stay as much as we did. Great way to disconnect from the world. We visited during Labor Day weekend, and was expecting it to be super busy. Such an intimate location. Only a few air streams and tents. Each tent/auto stream has their own seating area and fire pit. They recently connected with Hilton honors, so if you have status--they provide you firewood and a smores kit. For breakfast, they provide you granola and coffee/tea/hot cocoa. Also plenty of parking. They have free charging on site, only downside is that it is first come first serve. Super dog friendly. We loved our stay! Took the family to Autocamp Russian River and it did not disappoint! We had such a fantastic time! The camp itself was clean and beautiful. We stayed during the week and we found that there were a lot of areas to spread out and it didn't feel overly crowded. The airstream was clean and a bit more spacious than I had expected, as it was wider than I imagined. Our two teenage sons were able to sleep on the pull down sofa and they said it was quite comfortable. Our campsite had outdoor chairs, a table, and fire pit. The size of the outdoor space depends on your particular site. There are definitely spaces that are larger than others. For breakfast, granola, coffee, and hot chocolate are provided. The community lodge was a nice place to spend time to drink coffee, read, and play board games. I looked forward to going each morning. A huge shoutout to the staff who were all wonderful! Everyone at the front desk made us feel very welcome. They were so kind to our children! There are basketball courts and tennis courts available. Just ask the front desk and they happily provided the equipment for use. Our kids were very happy. I highly recommend taking a bike ride (bikes provided by the Autocamp) through the surrounding neighborhood. It was a loop about 2 miles in length and so much fun! They also gave us a lot of suggestions of things to do in surrounding Guerneville, which is such a beautiful community! Overall, the stay can get a bit pricey, but it was for the experience. The property is clean, feels secure behind the gates, and does deliver a charming "glamping" experience--but if you're staying in a tent, don't expect to sleep in. Quiet hours are set from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., and most guests seem to respect them. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with the surrounding area. This AutoCamp sits just off a main road in a somewhat questionable neighborhood. Around 6:00 a.m., I was woken up by a chorus of noise: trucks revving their engines, dogs barking loudly (with echoes rolling through the hills), and a mix of bangs, beeps, and passing traffic. Tuesdays bring trash pickup, which added its own "soundtrack" of accelerating, braking, dumping, and slamming. **Positives:** The kids had a great time playing in the meadow and meeting other children. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature--and the cozy heated blankets--was a highlight. **Negatives:** There's a no-bike-riding policy, and our kids were reprimanded by a staff member who wasn't particularly friendly. The $15 s'mores kit felt underwhelming for the price, and the tent exteriors were fairly dirty, with spots that looked like mold. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but we wouldn't return if a quiet, restful morning were the priority. read more

I have not been camping before so this was a great experience where we were still in nature but still had amenities such as a personal bathroom, shower, queen bed, etc. The airstream itself was clean and comfortable fit 2-3 people. During the summer season, they book up quickly so I would check out availability months out rather than last minute. When I was there, lots of family brought their young children. There are activities around such as going to the river that are family friendly. A selling fact for me is that you're able to bring your fur babies! Very clean, very cozy, very chic. It's glamping in a secure, locked campsite. There's lovely wine tasting in the evenings with live music, where you can sip wine while your kids play games and run through a meadow. There's a fire pit outside each Airstream, perfect for roasting marshmallows and chatting. Only negative, the stairs leading to the airstream are awkward and way too tall. This was a spur of the moment trip and it turned out to be an amazing experience. We just kept telling each other how grateful we were to get away and "unplug" for a couple days. Spent one evening at the coast in Jenner since it is only about 29 mins away. That was beautiful!Highly recommend catching at least one sunset there. The staff - Laurel & Blythe, were awesome! So helpful and enjoyed giving their personal recommendations to places around town. You could tell how proud they were to work there and that they really loved the grounds. Staying at Autocamp Russian River was the most beautiful experience! My husband and I visited for our honeymoon, and the staff was so sweet and welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. The location is quiet and peaceful, and is centralized around the downtown area, beach, river, and hiking areas. We got the Redwood suite with the wood fired hot-tub and it was absolutely worth it. A great way to unwind after a long day of adventure. I want to shout out every staff member by name: Laurel greeted us upon check in, and even took the time to text me before arrival and offer to start the hot-tub in advance since it takes a couples hours to heat up. Todd was servicing our hot-tub throughout our stay and was amazing. He was very friendly and took the time to chat with us every time he came by. Blythe took the time to write us a card congratulating us on our marriage and even provided a couple of gifts (wine vouchers and bath soaks) She was super sweet and I loved chatting with her. And last but certainly not least, Jill helped us make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay and helped us switch out some of our cooking utensils throughout our stay. She was also incredibly friendly and I enjoyed chatting with her while grabbing coffee in the morning. Our suite was quaint, but comfortable, and we loved having everything provided to us except food of course. It was easy to purchase firewood on site for the fire pit and super fun cooking over an open flame. If you are looking for a camping experience without all the hassle, this is a great option! Pure magic. This place has become an instant yearly tradition for our family in December to help ring in the holidays. Prices in December are definitely much lower given much colder than during peak summer months which see price hikes related to folks being able to take advantage of Russian River activities. However, plenty of things to do that don't require time on the water, especially if you have a car to be able to explore. Parking is enclosed with gated entry. Parking plentiful. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great activities that are hosted for free in the clubhouse such as wine tasting nights, yoga mornings and others. The Airstreams are great. Plenty of room for the three of us. Wife, preschool age son, and I are snug in the bed but there is a sofa pull out bed in main room of the Airstream that helps. Bathroom is small but has everything you need. Definitely grab good wood from the Clubhouse to have a cook out just next to your Airstream. The Clubhouse has lots of beverages and some light food fare available for purchase. However, there is a Safeway within about 1.5 miles from property to be able to stock up. Overall, AutoCamp experience has been incredible!! read more

We went here this past weekend for Mother's Day 2025. The Airstream was smaller than the pictures looked but we managed. We liked the property, the park, and that it was fenced in mostly. It was clean. I wish there was more space from the outside of the airstream, firepit, table, chairs, and other airstreams. We are a family of 4. We have an autistic daughter. She literally broke the TV while we were packing up to leave. I wish some places had more accommodations for disabled families. Like a lock on the inside of the airstream kids can't reach, maybe a glass protector for the TV, or insurance disabled families can purchase in case damages occur without paying full price. I can see how AutoCamp can have biased reviews due to one's preference of camping styles! So yes, if you're a Glamper 5 stars. Very clean, cozy, everything you need within 2 miles (Safeway less then 5 mins away), air conditioned airstreams, warm showers, lobby has many essentials you may need! We came here for a weekend with a group of us. We rented 3 airstreams and were able to be right next to each other. Kids loved it, we played volleyball on the grass, cards in the lobby, s'mores at night. The grounds are smaller than expected meaning the airstreams are pretty much stacked next to each other, you get privacy but I just didn't expect them that close. It made it nice to let your kids run away while feeling safe and it is a locked and fenced in, and felt very safe. AutoCamp is in the middle of a neighborhood which was also unexpected. I mean, from the play area you can see townhomes and a bunch of cars right outside the gates. But I guess if you block all that out you can imagine you're more secluded than you actually are. The staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Yes, one guy was not so friendly and watching folks which made it uncomfortable . Yoga in the teepee was extra surprising and a great experience! Kelly Anne was amazing and had our morning started off just right. Would definitely return with my folks who are more of Glamper. We have been to this particular location and other Autocamp locations previously so we were excited to take a quick getaway for Mother's Day. Arrived at the property a little after 3:30 and we understood was a little early for their 4PM check in, but were rudely informed we were early and our room was not ready. 4PM came and went, and the room continued to not be ready...it wasn't until almost 5 (4:53PM) to be exact that our room was ready. While waiting, our kids and other kids from other families also waiting for their rooms were belittled and made not feel welcomed by the staff (even though everyone was patiently waiting for the rooms). From the grounds keeper constantly coming to the hammocks to check if the kids were swinging (while the parents were around supervising their own children), I saw them yell at a 2 year old toddler that was riding their little balance bike that no bikes are allowed on property. But perhaps the worst was when my own toddler daughter couldn't find us on the other side of the lobby and started to cry on Monday morning and the older front desk lady instead of checking on her, started to scream at her for crying and telling her to keep quiet... Luckily, we were on the other side of the lobby getting coffee and were able to comfort our daughter. For $400+ a night, we expected to relax and enjoy the grounds, and not feel like we were a burden to the hotel. Either make the property adult only, or adjust to having kids around. I was really looking forward to this 3-night "touch grass" break. I've been a camper since a young age, but I'm also no stranger to traveling alone and treating myself to a bougie resort spa. This was neither a resort nor a serene spot to commune with nature. Based on the description, I was expecting a very nicely appointed airstream in a quiet, restful location away from civilization. The unit was pretty barebones in a closely packed pod of about a dozen other trailers. The full kitchenette amounted to a minifridge and a tiny microwave that could accommodate a frozen dinner. Not sure what the cast-iron pan was for. Maybe for use on the outside grill? Unclear. The "airy sitting room" was a stifling oven as it was 90 deg outside and required the air conditioner to be running nonstop at a deafening roar. No water pressure in the shower. I made the mistake of washing my hair, and it took forever under the trickle to get the shampoo rinsed out. While this was intended as a chill-out mini vacation, sometimes you need to stay in touch. The free wireless was sketchy at best (clocked at 18.30 mbps and 174 ping). Unfortunately, it's a Verizon deadzone (0-1 bars most of the time) so hotspot is not an option. Had to drive a couple miles down the road to the Safeway parking lot. Definitely not "Your refuge in the redwoods" as headlined on the webpage. The site is just outside of town directly on the road in a dense residential neighborhood. At least there was a privacy fence separating it from the main road. The gourmet food was free coffee and granola in the morning. A self-serve bowl of fresh fruit was also provided on the first day, but on the second day, I didn't get there until about 8:15, so it was gone. The morning of the third day I decided that life is too short and there are better things to do. They would not refund the third night, but offered to remove the $35 amenity fee. Would have been nice to remove it for the other 2 days as well...for one, I'm not into cornhole. So basically I'm out $1460 for 2 nights. I left on a Tuesday morning, but had to email them on Thursday to get a copy of the receipt as they didn't give me one when I checked out. Would have been better off in a Holiday Inn Express with a few trees in the parking lot. At least they have bigger microwaves and free stale bagels for breakfast. Could really have spent that money on something else. 2-star rather than 1-star because the bed was comfortable and parking was free. If this is what you're into, that's fine. You do you. However, I am providing a description I wish I had before shelling out that much money and wasting my time off. You can do better. read more

Since all the Airstreams are equipped with a full kitchen, all you need to bring are foods, drinks, ingredients for cooking. You will also have an outdoor dining area as wells The airstreams are hooked up to water systems, and there are showers and a standard toilet/sink in the bathroom. They did a nice job making the airstreams more chic and elegant. The fan systems don't seem to work well, and I've found this to be a common problem among a lot of airstreams. But you can just pop open the windows for the same effect. The fire pits and amenities are a very nice touch, to add sone glamour to the outdoor experience. read more

All the staff working the front each shift were so attentive, polite, friendly, quick to assist with any questions. They really made it a wonderful experience. The airstream was perfect! It came with everything we needed. The only things I could say to make the experience even better: Offer movie night on the grass area or by the hammocks early evening. Change out the barstools in the common area, they are not that comfortable. Other than that, the common area bathroom and showers is very Spa like! The complimentary wine tasting, live music, breakfast granola, tea, coffee is wonderful! I'd come back here again and again! It was the perfect glamping getaway renting an airstream for our girls weekend getaway. The campground is very well maintained, though a bit strange finding it nestled in a little neighborhood of homes. Our airstream was tucked away in the back with a babbling brook just right outside. Inside the airstream was spacious, yet oh so cozy. The bed was comfortable, adequate lighting was provided, bathroom with shower was clean, cooking amenities were useful. We built a fire outside to cook our meals, and sat around the campsite table whilst enjoying the crisp spring air. It did rain one of the nights and the peltering sounds of raindrops was less than soothing. *couch turned sofa bed was tolerable; not bad, neither was it pleasant. They offered a yoga class one day which we participated in. They also had happy hour in the afternoon with yummy wines from local wineries. We sat in front of one of the big fire pits in the lobby to talk story. A very modest breakfast was offered, but best to make your own. The autocamp is not too far from town so we ate at a local restaurant one day. We also had drinks at the town's watering hole. A quick drive took us to a short hike through the redwoods. We were fortunate to make it to the beach where a gorgeous view of the ocean was there for us to enjoy. Most definitely recommend!!! read more

The Airstreams were amazing. The bed was big and so comfortable. The sheets, pillows and covers felt like a nice warm hug, I actually got a good night's sleep. The bathroom was surprisingly big for a trailer. It's probably bigger than the bathroom in our first home! The shower was very spacious, the water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water. This place has thought of everything it seems. For example, there is a small grill for every camper so you can cook, free bikes to rent, a communal fire pit, radio flyer style wagons to haul your stuff, and the list goes on and on. This was a real fun way to spend a few days. We'd love to come back again soon. read more

What an amazing location! A friend rented out the whole camp for her wedding, and it was absolutely magical. Nestled among the redwoods and down the street from downtown Guerneville, you're in nature but close to great shops and restaurants. The staff was super friendly - albeit a little disorganized for check-in. We stayed in the glamping tents, and the electric blanket came in handy in October. Everyone who stayed in AirStreams enjoyed their accommodations. They also offered yoga Saturday morning which was really nice to wake up to. If you're staying in the tent, you have access to the lodge for spa-like showers/bathrooms. They keep the fires in the lodge and in the main area going morning through night so it's always cozy. My friend did her ceremony on the main lawn and reception in the lodge. It's great for ceremonies under 100 people. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay! This was one of the worst and most frustrating travel experiences I've ever had. We booked a tent from July 4th- 6th. Our neighbors were burning wood all night--which is explicitly against the campground's own policies (charcoal only). Despite this clear violation, the staff did nothin. Our tent was completely filled with smoke. I have lung sensitivity, and breathing the polluted air made me physically unwell. It was not just uncomfortable -- it was a serious health hazard. We complained the next morning when they lit another fire, and were told we couldn't be moved to another tent or check out early without being charged. So our only options were to stay in an unsafe, unlivable situation or lose our money. The fact that the staff chose to protect rule-breakers over guests' health, and then refused to offer any solution or refund, shows a complete lack of responsibility, care, and professionalism. Their "policy" seems to be enforced selectively -- and only when it benefits them. I left feeling physically sick, angry, and taken advantage of. If you care about your health, safety, or basic fairness, stay far away from this place. read more

This was a fun stay for the kids and a great overall experience! We spent a night in an Airstream with our 2 young kids and they loved every minute of it. The units were beautifully refinished with modern touches and came with all the conveniences of a small hotel room. The campground itself is located in a quiet residential area just off the main road, but is surrounded by tall redwoods so you do get some sense of seclusion. Waking up in the morning to some light rain and rolling fog amidst the trees, really gave me the feeling of being immersed in nature, without actually being in the middle of a forest. It rained almost the entire time we were there so we didn't make much use of the grounds or common areas, but the clubhouse made for a perfect little gathering spot for those looking to escape the cold and rain. It featured a nice little communal fireplace and was stocked with all the necessities like firewood, smores kits and alcoholic beverages for purchase. If you are averse to real camping like my wife, you will be happy to know that the clubhouse bathrooms and showers boasted modern decor and were immaculately clean. You are definitely not "roughing it" out here. Although our stay in the Airstream was fun and memorable, I'm not convinced that I would seek out an Autocamp again. The living and sleeping space inside the Airstream is really only fit for 2-3 people at most and after a night of sleeping with my two small kids, I was more than ready for a king bed at our next hotel. But if I ever find myself with an opportunity to visit any of the other Autocamp locations, at least I know that I'll be greeted with a clean modern design and some super friendly service. read more

I hesitate to post this review, as I do think most people have had good service and experiences but I am so appalled that this happened, and while the camp director did reach out after I submitted the satisfaction survey, he has not replied after I gave him details and pictures. We booked 3 nights after the holiday weekend. As we settled in for the night, I noticed that a throw blanket that was on the couch had a strong smell of urine, as if an animal or a person had relieved themselves on it. Unfortunately, my son was sitting on it when I realized where the smell was coming from. I quickly threw the blanket outside and let the staff know. It was late and I didn't really know what to do, and there likely wasn't vacancy or other options so I covered the couch with the sheets and hoped for the best. We decided to make the best of it, and continue our stay. But after this, I was hyper-aware of the overall maintenance of the cabin. For $437 a night, we were expecting a high-end, resort-level experience, but what we got was: * Window blinds that were not functioning and the sills had a layer of dust * Large cobwebs in the bathroom ceiling fixtures (pipes and light) * Toilet was rickety * Faucet had a lot of visible grime when turned on * Mysterious stains on the couch * Doormat outside had a lot of long white dog hair, and there was a slight odor of dog * One of the drawers had dead bugs or bug casings that appeared on the 2nd day Overall, these are small things we could have overlooked as part of being outdoors and nature and whatnot, but compounded with the blanket incident showed an incredible lack of maintenance and cleanliness. How well are these rooms cleaned between guests? How did the staff not notice that the blanket was presumably wet and STUNK OF URINE while refolding and setting it on a couch? If you charge a fee to bring in pets, shouldn't there have been additional cleaning specifically to address? The fact that I had to handle a biohazard with my bare hands was not a vacation achievement I wanted to unlock. It was really hard to relax when I was constantly smelling phantom (or not) urine. Ultimately, we did decide to stay but it really soured the rest of our visit. The campgrounds are beautiful and we were able to enjoy the surrounding areas. The staff was very kind and felt bad for us and offered us some treats so the extra stars are for them, but I would have much rather pay for firewood and s'mores than to have to deal with a potential health hazard. read more

Sometimes we all need time away from the routine of making a living and slow down our pace. Camping is great for those who can handle all of nature's glory. Auto camp is ideal for those who want the balance of outdoor and the familiarity of hotel hospitality. First timers no need to be confused if you are passing through a neighborhood. You are on the path of the right direction. There will be a gate to your left. As everyone has mentioned there is contactless check in via text message. In the text message they provide information that includes the airstream unit #, the passcode to open the door, and front entrance gate. In terms of parking we had no issue and not to mention complimentary. There is also a charging station for electric cars. Yes, yes auto camp is surrounded by homes of the town. During our stay it didn't bother us and brought a little charm to our visit. Upon entrance there are wagons for use to trek belongings from your car to the airstream. The units are close in proximity within each other. Each one comes with an outdoor pit for cooking and making a fire with the usual tables and chairs. When packing for this overnight trip I packed household commodities thinking there would be none. Oh, I was so wrong! Part of the price you pay for is the detail and convenience they put in for your trip. Upon entry there is a mat for your shoes which is a nice touch. To your right there are knobs for you to hang your jackets etc with a place for you to sit to and take foot wear off. Underneath that seat is also the control for the heat for the "living room" area. There is a thermostat in the bedroom as well. In the kitchen there is everything you need including kitchen scissors, alcohol openers, hand/dish towels, paper towels, dish soap/sponge, bowls, plates, utensils, cast iron, salt/pepper etc. There is also a microwave, mini fridge, and dustpan/mini broom. For the mini fridge you need to turn it on for it to work. The on button is inside of the mini fridge. There are two reusable water bottles for each unit. Keep those to refill with their filtered water in the 24 hour lounge! The bathroom is supplied with amazing fragrant lotion, shampoo, bath towels and such! The citrus riot handwash scent reminded me of the nearby Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. There actually is a full size toilet! Even though we found it to be surprisingly satisfactory clean I would suggest doing a deep clean of the floor and redoing the grout. Bedroom was a fan favorite for all of us. Perfect dim lighting for unwinding. There was no toss and turn and we rested well into the night and had energy for the next day. As auto camp is thoughtful, there are outlets on both sides of the bed for charging cell phones. There is a tv for those who like to end the day with a little television in the background. Our fur baby loved the bed throw at the foot of the bed and slept soundly. He did not want to leave the bed! Now to the 24 hour lounge! There are seats for socializing and lounging both indoor and outdoor. There is staffing to also help with your needs from 7 am- 10 pm. There are days with happy hour and other activities which I'm assuming are more for the weekends. Even though the "store" is small it has a lot to offer including smores kits, alcohol, and quick snack bites. There is a Safeway that is a few minutes drive from the location which is where we got our bratwurst etc. They have coal and wood for purchase as well. There is charcoal lighter liquid that you can use. Trust me, it makes a difference in making a good fire! Don't forget there are matches in your kitchen. Did I mention breakfast is covered from 7 am-11 am? Pastries and granola with a variation of hot drinks and hot water. It is light, so have a second breakfast prepared. When it comes to pricing it is all opinion. As it still is winter and on a weekday our stay was well worth our money. Expect the summer or weekends in general to be more expensive. Just keep a lookout on their calendar! In terms of "outdoor nature" there are tons of state parks and beaches within 30 minutes. You can definitely expect us to come again! My weekend trip to Autocamp is one of my favorite weekend getaways from the Bay Area! Only a 1.5-2 hour drive from the Bay, this is high-end glamping experience that is worth it's value and highly enjoyable. I booked the classic Airstream for 2 adults and a Dog; we fit comfortably and felt that we had lots of space. The bed and sheets were comfy, bathrooms were spacious and clean, and the kitchen was just enough. Highlights: * Ambience and energy is really laid back. You get the benefit of feeling in nature and as if you are camping but with all the amenities. * Nightly wine tasting for the weekend * Yoga class every morning Lowlights: * Would not recommend booking the premium airstream- it's really not that more private * Breakfast was lacking- only coffee, tea, and granolas. I would recommend this place add some yogurt, fresh fruit, and pastries at least. * Hot water tank in the airstream is small! So be mindful if you are taking back to back showers. Overall, it's highlights make up for its minor drawbacks. The location is near the road and some housing but that didn't bother us. Being centrally located made it easy to explore the nearby areas and parks. For trips nearby, I would recommend checking out Sebastopol, Bodega Bay, and Armstrong Redwoods! read more

Overdue review... Hiking during the day and glamping at night. Our experience with Autocamp was not only a great one but a memorable one. Made reservations online and rec'd a confirmation email, check-in info (and video) and a phone call a day before our departure. We were even given a suggested list of to do's and where to eat. Customer service = A+. We stayed in a classic airstream (not much difference between the classic and premium- premium is nearby trees but the classic ones are directly in front of it) . We are a family of 3- our son is 13 and he had plenty of space on the pull out futon, it was clean and equipped with all the necessities. For those interested, yes you get warm water. We came during a late winter break (feb) and it was a bit chilly, but luckily no rain. This is a cute location but by quite a few homes. Yes there are huge trees around but don't expect to feel secluded. The clubhouse is nice- has a fire going, long tables and bathrooms/showers. There isn't much water pressure in the airstream but they do provide shampoo, conditioner, soap. Here are some tips: -Use the radio flyer wagons provided to transport items from your vehicle to your airstream (if you have a lot of stuff -if it's chilly, bring extra blankets from home. -there's a local Safeway nearby if you forget or need anything. -bring aluminum foil if you're going to bbq, along with charcoal -turn up the heat at night! Then turn it down when you leave -watch the video they send you. It'll be helpful when it comes to opening windows and basics of an airstream -bring flip flops or slides to walk around the airstream -traveling with kids? get the s'mores package and some wood. Love it !!!!! I usually don't go camping but my coworkers suggested I should try and it was such a great decision I have made. We decided to stay in airstreams because they come with bathroom. Everything was clean and nice. I prepared everything including toilet paper and paper towel.... Turned out I had to take all of them home because they provided everything including kitchenwares. They also provide public bathrooms and campfire but if you stay in airstreams, you will have your own campfire. The weather was chilly so we didn't plan to do any water activities but we rode bicycle which they provided as well. Will definitely go back and plan for water activities nearby. Forgot to mention, its really safe here. You will receive a code to entry to front gate on the arrival day then another code for your airstream when checking in! Need a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city? Autocamp - Russian River is perfect for that. Prices used to be around $100+/night for an air streamer but throughout the years it's risen up to $300+/night. They offer self-check-in and check-out. Perfect for those who are introverted or prefer a contactless check-in and check-out process like myself. You are able to bring your dog but I believe there's an extra fee for bringing your fur babies. The air streamers are super spacious, modern, and clean. You can order wood, a s'mores kit, etc on the website that they provide and the staff will bring it right to your air streamer. They had bikes readily available for customers so I was able to ride around Guerneville and go visit the town. If you're planning to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc on the tv bring your laptop and HDMI cord as they only have network channels on the tv. I had a lovely time and I would 100% come back again. read more

It was sooo cute here. If you like camping but maybe want a little less work to do then staying here is perfect. First of all the town nearby is super cute and super LGBTQ+ friendly. There are cute shops, yummy food options, and walkable to the river!When we arrived prior to our check in we only had to wait like 5 mins before our tent was ready. They have wagons to put your stuff in from the car so that's handy! And bikes you can borrow to go around the town. Tents: The tents are surprisingly spacious and have about 5 'windows' you can zip up and close. It can be cold inside but the mattress is heated and can be controlled separately on each side of the bed so you're warm and cozy while sleeping. They also provide plugs, USB plugs, two lights, and emergency flashlight, cooking utensils for the BBQ, an oven mit, matches, paper towels, tissue box, a cooler, etc. it's all very handy Parking: gated and secure Staff: so attentive and genuinely sweet Common area: super spacious and nice. Covered with a fireplace and heaters on the ceiling for when it's cold. Comfortable seating throughout. A nice but small shopping area for clothing, essentials, food, alcohol, etc to purchase. Bathrooms: super nice and modern! The showers are spacious and hot and handicap accessible but there are only two showers and one toilet stall and one urinal in the men's side. Shampoo, body wash, lotion, hair dryer and towels are provided Extras: they hosted happy wine hour tastings on Friday and Saturday as well as guest singers each day (different singers and wineries came) super cute vibes. But for the price, it would get five stars. The RVs are well maintained, although their age is just beginning to show. Well furnished with excellent quality linen, towels etc. Everything worked well. The "store" had very limited items. They can easily stock up more non-perishable goods. Staff was very helpful. The RVs were a little too close, even the premier ones. They need to improve their reservation system - and price pint - as there were many empty RVs and yet, many dates were not available on line. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to go to AutoCamp for the last five years. We chose this location as opposed to Yosemite because we wanted to be close to the redwoods and the beach. The location is great however, I was disappointed by the quality of the trailer. The grounds were very nice and the staff was extremely friendly. The price of the trailer because it was off-season was somewhat reasonable. In addition, we did not have to stay more than one night. During season, you have to book a minimum of two nights. Being that it is an airstream trailer I expected top-of-the-line accommodations. That was not the case. It seemed like it had been worn. There were no grills to grill your own food. There was no stove to cook in the trailer, the fridge was a minimum size fridge, that would be available in a hotel room, and there was no table to eat inside the trailer. If it more than just my husband and I, there will be no place to sit in the trailer. This was considered a luxury trailer one of their biggest. Also, there was only one TV which was in the bedroom. Since it was raining, it was a disadvantage. This location is outside Guerneville, so restaurants are at minimum. There is a Safeway, but since you can't cook your own food or even grill out, the only thing that you possibly can get are sandwiches. The coast is about 20 minutes and Bodega Bay is probably about 45 minutes . The property is has three fire pits two in the lobby and one on the lawn, however, the outside fire pit was not working. There were some great hiking trails in the Redwoods that we took advantage of. Overall, it was a great experience to stay in an Airstream trailer to see if we really liked it, though I was disappointed by the quality of it.
