The highway isn't too heavily traveled, so the sites are fairly quiet, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Tables, BBQ grills and fire rings...plus very clean vault toilets and running water. Being in view of the highway, the sites don't feel very secluded or private -- but that is more than made up for by the fact that directly across the highway is a little all-natural sandy-bottomed hot spring, right on the banks of the Payette River. As far as I know you can soak any time, day or night, in a little rectangular pool that used to be part of a bathhouse or something back in the day. We walked over from our campsite after dark, and hiked down for a very relaxing soak. This place is not hardcore, remote or rugged....but I still give it 5 stars because it's clean, beautiful and EASY! And sometimes, that's what you want! I would definitely stay here again...but if you don't want to camp out, you can use the springs for free by parking in the little day use lot at the trailhead, just across from the campground.

Be careful crossing it so your tires on your rig get lined up. It's not really a park for big RVs. We were among mostly small campers and people in tents. The campground host however was very nice. And the creek running through is a nice feature. If you're looking for that nice RV park and If you don't mind having to get your truck and rig washed after you leave, you'll love this place.

The owners harass you constantly about where you walk your dogs. There is one tree that they allow you to have your dog around. Yesterday, three of us had to organize times just for our dogs to go pee. It's literally one tree! Every year my extended family gets together for a family X-mas near Coeur d'Alene that is in the…read moresummer or fall since we can't get together over the holidays. This year my mom discovered Praeder Ranch Resort. It was the perfect location for us. There are several family members with campers; the resort offers tent, partial and full sites to accommodate everyone. There is a lodge with wonderful rooms for everyone else (where we stayed). There is an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and a huge hot tub. Also offered is a game room, a great library, a gym and outdoor activities such as shuffle board, volleyball, basketball, frisbee golf, etc. We found trails to walk around to get some outdoor exercise. The lodge is well maintained and very clean; my wife and I very much enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna. Jeff and Tracy were wonderful and took good care of the entire extended family that was there. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip. We shall definitely be back.

It even had a microwave! The bathrooms were always clean and had warm water for showers. The cabin itself was nice. We rented a 6 person cabin. It was roomy with a double bed and 2 sets of bunk beds. The beds had the classic cabin style mattresses, but not too bad. It had a little heater attached, which was nice when it got a little chilly in the evening.
