EVERYONE NEEDS TO VISIT MILLER FALLS in gorgeous Smokey Mountains!…read more Beautiful woods, creeks, rock climbing, camping, and brilliant weather. Campgrounds are clean, lots of amenities, and campground owners are super kind people! We stayed for 4 nights, and our campsite was $48/night before tax. We initially booked through HipCamp, but I'll definitely be booking with the owner directly (www.TNwaterfallgetaway.com) for all future visits to their campground! My fiance and I booked the TrampEase Tree Tent - one of seven beautiful, hand-built campsites that range from primitive to full-on glamping. Our campsite was a mix of both. It included an elevated yurt tent, fire pit, round table, 2 folding camping chairs, and a private composting toilet in a nearby outhouse. Not to mention a flowing creek less than 50 feet from the yurt! The tranquil sound of the creek flowing 24/7 was even better than sleep-sounds on my Google Home. LOL! Most of the campsites have drive-up access, though if you have a car that's particularly low to the ground (like a small sedan) you may not want to risk driving over the rocky road. We brought with us a 1" inflatable mattress pad, along with a sleeping bag, and 2 thick, warm blankets. Despite being mid-May, the average temps during our visit were 60-70 F during the day, and a chilly 40-45 F at night. Brilliant weather for snuggling, but we would have regretted not bringing a few extra blankets. Lots of hiking and trails to explore on their property, and at least a mile of rugged creek terrain that makes for a fun, albeit challenging day of rock climbing. Well worth it for the stunning views of the waterfalls, canyons, and mountainsides. There are also trails and lakes nearby for hiking, kayaking, and a number of other outdoor attractions in Tracy City. The owners, Grant & Becky, were such friendly people. My fiance and I had a lovely chat with them about philanthropy, community outreach, homestead farming, and more. They are warm, kind, and welcoming to people of all ages, races, religions, genders, identities, abilities, backgrounds, perspectives, and ideologies. They have done a lot of traveling and business throughout their lives, and now they are semi-retired in the rolling hills of Tennessee. Speaking of ability - the majority of the glamping sites have tents that are elevated from the ground; some, like the one we stayed in, required climbing a 10 foot ladder to enter/exit the tent. There are some other sites though that are more accessible with tents low to the ground, or primitive sites where you can pitch your own tent. Contact the owner (www.tnwaterfallgetaway.com/contact) to ask about the best accommodation options for you. They offer great amenities and fun activities around the property during your stay. The owners are big on being self-sufficient, so they love to offer fun learning experiences regarding farming, gardening, and homesteading. They also enjoy metal work and have some cool art pieces around their property. We even did a welding project (for a small fee) and made an original piece of art as a keepsake from our trip! You can also get some convenience items from the owners for a fee: firewood bundles, champagne & ice, property tours, guided tours of their city, and more. HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP: Grant was also kind enough to swing by our campsite one morning to ask if we had any interest in bees! He has a few hives and some extra gear, so we got an up-close look into the hives! It was absolutely mesmerizing! And if all that weren't enough, their website www.TNwaterfallgetaway.com is chock-full of great tips for local hiking, waterfall views, kayaking, dining, and more! We had such a lovely time enjoying the outdoors, and look forward to going back for another visit!

I do believe some people live here and some are rental properties. They are spaced out well for privacy and have private drives and parking areas for each cottage. It is near The Caverns and some other cave and mountain attractions. There is a rope course nearby, and lots of hiking opportunities are abound as well. Our little place was clean, well kept, had all the amenities we needed, and was well decorated. Warning. NO COFFEE NEARBY!!! Get you some before you arrive. I keep K pods in the luggage but this had a regular coffee maker with like actual paper filters and stuff. We were only there for a night, but will likely return again now that we know more about it. Beware though.... They are very small. Bunk beds and upstairs are dwarf size areas. Small kids and little people only! I am sure we will see another show at The Caverns at some point in the future. Everywhere shows 5 star reviews but they have it turned off so you can't leave a review on google. This place is a campground with tiny homes. It cannot be described as luxury or gated because the gates were open the whole time. $100 cleaning fee yet you have to wash, dry, and put away the dishes (by hand). The pots/pans were old and scraped up and some dishes dirty. I had to rewash anything before using. The house did have firewood but we were not informed that and ended up adding the $20 firewood package. Don't do this, it was 5 small pieces of wood (literally one split log) and a cheap cigarette lighter. We ended up leaving after a night. House was cute but I didn't feel very safe and the beds were uncomfortable. There's not much to do there and the area is old and run-down.

We had everything we needed supplied in the kitchen. The tv was a smart tv with a few apps like hulu and netflix provided! Tables and chairs outside to eat and enjoy the view. Hot was excellent, very clean and relatively easy to use. Just need to get it going to heat up before you get in. There's a walk out basement that looks like it's going to be worked on next. It had a nice circle drive with gravel parking. Has a cute deli/local shop in the corner of the road you drive in. I highly recommend! University of the South isn't far and has good mountain overlooks. Not a lot to do in the area, but has some restaurants and a piggly wiggly. This is a place to go and relax and get away for sure!

You must pay a nonrefundable deposit and the very last day before your stay you receive another contract that says basically you will clean up and leave the place exactly as it was even though you are forced to pay an $85 cleaning fee. We also had to be checked out completely by 10:00 AM, definitely not the industry standard and most definitely inconvenient for a family with teenagers. The information given about our stay indicated that they would be monitoring the thermostat to make sure there was no abuse. The cabin has three bedrooms with the loft containing one bedroom and a pull out sofa and we had to use both. It was in an seasonably warm weekend in October and even though I kept setting the thermostat for 70°, whenever I would check it it would be at 72. After sweating it out an entire night because the loft was over 80° even with the thermostat set at 72, I texted the owner and asked her to please stop adjusting the thermostat. She was controlling the temperature of the cabin remotely. Not only is this a violation of the rental laws in the state of Tennessee, the fact that she did not disclose this was unconscionable. The second night my son and husband had to sleep on a couch and recliner in the living room because the loft was entirely uninhabitable. Scarce furnishings, uncomfortable beds and ridiculous check out time and requirements. Do not waste your money.
