Hole in the wall with best tacos around. Inside convenience store but there is plenty of seating.

They were busy during weekend brunch but we were seated immediately and the service was great, very attentive and my server was in training. The food is not up to par. I researched several dishes before coming here and their ordering platform has images of almost all dishes online. But these were so far from being realistic representations. Haystacks manages this content, it should be accurate or not presented at all. Quiche had a great flavor but came with a very meh spinach pile and potatoes that were in no way "haystacks piles." It was also considerably small, 4oz. Felt like I was eating airplane food. Mac and cheese bland and broken, Hannibal burger was very sweet not balanced. Biscuits were slightly under baked but the jam was delicious.

The food is what gives me some hesitation to recommend. My wife ordered a quiche since we were in during brunch. I opted for the burger that had pulled pork and onion rings. We were both disappointed by our meals. The quiche my wife saw a picture of on their website came out so tiny it reminded me of food they would serve you on an airplane. She showed me the picture and I was genuinely shocked to what they served her. She said it tasted fine, but when you order a quiche entree you expect the main focus of the plate to be what you ordered. It was mainly salad and home fry potatoes. I thought this place was known for the haystack potatoes considering the name, these were not that. My burger did come out as advertised. Towering over the plate with all the toppings. I tried the onion rings first. They were okay I guess, but covered all over with this sauce that was way too sweet. The other layers consisted of roasted pulled pork(under seasoned), provolone cheese, sausage(tasted like a hot dog), and the burger itself(dry and under seasoned). It was a chore to eat. I had a side of macaroni that was overcooked and mushy. The whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. We may have ordered the wrong items so I gave the biscuit basket to go for one last ditch effort to find something redeemable. I heated them in the air fryer to get them nice and crisp to serve with the gravy and jam. The gravy was too thin and the biscuits were mushy and turned into a paste once bitten. The jam was really good though. We threw the last biscuit away since it wasn't with the calories. I don't think we'll be back. I say you should go if you live in the area. Find out for yourself. You may have a lovely time and we were just unlucky on this visit.

Came for breakfast for the first time today and life CHANGED…read more If you've ever been confused by the question of what you'd pick as your last meal, look no further than the sourdough breakfast panini. The amount of flavor in that sandwich from the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, to the shredded Gouda, grilled sourdough bread, tomatoes slices, and arugula will blow. Your. Mind. And once it's blown, you'll then get to pop one of the maple waffle fries that come with it in your mouth (and completely remind me of funnel cake!) and you will feel like life is complete, you have no regrets, and if it all ended today you would be able to die a happy human. Finding flavor like this (which I've only found in a few local spots like Zanatas or Fable and Fire in Rockwall) is an absolute diamond in the rough find for Fate! And after meeting the chef, Michael Shelley (who worked previously at a five star restaurant in Cali and has quite the illustrious history - go look him up!), you'll understand why flavors that you'd only expect to find down in Dallas are blowing your mind sitting at Red Dirt Social in Fate. (He also shared with us that the panini is a special recipe he created while working as a a private chef for a family and they would order it just about every other day. Trust me, I now know completely why.) My partner got the breakfast tacos and they were a totally different and just as delicious flavor palette. Packed with eggs, potatoes, bacon, veggies, and pepper jack cheese. The portions are HUGE. Where else can you find this much flavor in this much food?! I love the great seating options and the lowkey setup of picking your own table, ordering at the front when you're ready, and having it brought out to your table. Only complaint was on my partner's double chai latte where the beans were painfully over roasted and the smoky flavor overpowered the chai entirely, but some extra barista lessons needed aside, we're IN. This will for sure be our new breakfast spot (let's get honest, there aren't that many truly unique and good ones out this way if you want more than your typical diner style eggs, bacon, and pancakes) and we'll be bringing friends from out of town here as well! What a gem!

We sat down at our table at Red Dirt Social to visit for 10 minutes - and the manager (or owner maybe?) commented how his space was built just for this reason - to relax and enjoy time. We never felt rushed, or felt like they wanted our table. That was refreshing! The space is lovely - truly! It was bright, open, minimal decor and it all worked beautifully together. Someone out real thought into decorating this space for people to gather and relax, and it showed. I ordered the pats (oatmeal) with fresh fruit and it was perfect! All the fruit blended well together for my oatmeal. I enjoyed every bite. I cannot wait to bring my husband back to see how much Fate has grown and to eat here once more. It's worth it!
