I have not been in Fate for years, and what a pleasure it was when I drove ther yesterday to meet a friend. We sat down at our table at Red Dirt Social to visit for 10 minutes - and the manager (or owner maybe?) commented how his space was built just for this reason - to relax and enjoy time. We never felt rushed, or felt like they wanted our table. That was refreshing! The space is lovely - truly! It was bright, open, minimal decor and it all worked beautifully together. Someone out real thought into decorating this space for people to gather and relax, and it showed. I ordered the pats (oatmeal) with fresh fruit and it was perfect! All the fruit blended well together for my oatmeal. I enjoyed every bite. I cannot wait to bring my husband back to see how much Fate has grown and to eat here once more. It's worth it! read more

Wow. So, we are not usually brunch, breakfast people. I like to sleep in. But, we decided ti play hookie and I am so glad we did. We came here before one of the famous Texas cold fronts... Its an order at counter places, which isn't always my favorite. You lose some personal connection but we were greeted when we got here, when we ordered it felt so friendly... they honesty made up for it. We ordered a bucket (cupcake brand) of mimosas. Chicken and waffles sliders. Breakfast panini and i wanted something sweet and we ordered the donut hole casserole. Honestly I cant find the words right now... but absolutely delish!! Only thing we would not order the donut casserole not because its not fantastic it is. But the waffle fries had some kind of sweetness in the batter so it satisfied my sweet tooth. The chicken was so well cooked! We ultimately turned it into knife and fork because it fell apart but who cares. The panini ... eggs so soft and moist. Absolutely hate that I have to leave this review. Waited 1 hr and 30 mins for chicken and waffles . The lady at the front was completely sweet. However, she struggled to even understand my simple order. After a hour of wait time, the waiter comes to me and say "the chicken and waffles aren't on your ticket". We could visually see it on the receipt plus my ticket was $60+ $10 tip. I told her there's no way you charged me for it and I never received it. I walk to the front, and now they find my order after I forced them to show me what they charged me for. Then after I go back to my table , and come back to the front, I ask "so are you making the order or refunding me" they say "oh we can do either one". I have been here three times in the last two weeks and it is definitely the best food in fate and rockwall in general. Their waffle is one of the best I have had in a very long while. The Gravy and Biscuit was well put together, flavorful and the biscuit was super fluffy. I have also had the chicken pasta and it was delicious. Would love even more vegetables in it like asparagus or maybe broccoli, but that is just a preference the dish is really good. Great location, inside is clean with nice esthetics. We were in fate at random from Forney and just happened to see this place. We are so glad we did! The service was friendly from the moment we walked in the door. They were helpful and cheerful which immediately made the place feel welcoming. The London fog is easily the best London fog I have ever had. Then I got the gluten free avocado toast... no complaints. My spouse got the chicken and waffles sliders with the waffle fries and said it was soo phenomenal and delicious. Swing in around 8 am on a sunday. Was greeted by a female employee were seemed tired or disinterested. Not a good start. If you get a soft drink, you're given a glass along with a 12 oz can. Really? I ordered the biscuits and gravy. Gravy was lukewarm at best, biscuits were at least hot. Solid flavor but for what you pay, the portion isn't worth it. Wife had the breakfast tacos. She said they were good but also agreed they were overpriced. The inside of the restaurant is nice for the most part. The booth side could use more depth. Overall, we had higher hopes coming in so it was disappointing. Can't say I'd recommend it even though we live close. read more

French onion soup and kale Caesar. This is a beautiful counter service restaurant and I say that because you have to order at the counter first and then find your seat. They do bring the food and drinks to your table and have people checking on you occasionally. Pros: I love the indoor garden decor, they have plants above the bar area and some framed on the walls. It's a nice touch to seating area which can host many guests. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the maple waffle fries, chicken & waffles, and the breakfast pizza. The fries were sweet and fried to perfection while the chicken was juicy and tender, and the pizza was perfect. Con: The drinks were not good. We had a hot chai latte and an iced latte. Both of them sadly tasted water downed. It tasted as if they just added milk and water together. This is certainly a place worth trying, you won't be disappointed in the food! This is our third time coming here. This is going to be an honest review. The first time we came back in spring of 2025, service was great but food was honestly not worth it at all for the price. I'm not one to leave a bad review because it's just my opinion and the amount of money and time they put into the place doesn't warrant a bad review. Second time we went, we sat at the bar and drank coffee. Coffee has always been fantastic. Third time are the pictures shown. We went after church this past weekend because honestly every where else we went was full with a wait so this was the last stop. It was very busy but we got a table. The menu is completely different from the first time we ate there which I was very happy to see. Bravo to you all! It was hard to decide what to get but what we did get was all fantastic! Had lunch with another awesome couple here. The joint's small and intimate. It gets a little loud at times. The staff were pleasant and were working their tails off. The owner/chef spoke with us briefly. We all ordered something different so we could sample. My buddy had the breakfast pizza, his wife the "crazy" Panini, Boss Lady the Monte Cristo, and I the Italian Panini. All were delicious and came out hot, if they were supposed to be that way. We also tried the meat lovers breakfast pizza on a cauliflower crust, and WOW. It's an incredibly unique dish with a pesto base, loaded with breakfast meats and topped with four sunny-side-up eggs. Absolutely delicious and massive--definitely enough for two people, which they could probably advertise! The food was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. Wow! I can't believe I didn't come try this place sooner! I kept seeing good reviews so came today to check it out. Everything was sooooo good. It was seriously the best breakfast place that my husband and I have ever had. My husband even said it's the best restaurant that he's had period in Texas! The maple waffle fries were the most incredible fries ever. I actually used the syrup that came with my chicken and waffles on the fries and it was the most amazing flavor combo. Seating and atmosphere inside is comparable to a fast casual more essential feel, but without the branding. I tried this restaurant out today with a friend. She ordered the kale Caesar, which the size of a pre-dinner salad. A little small for $16 on a lunch menu. She said it was OK. I ordered the Cobb salad and It was OK at best.
