Came for breakfast for the first time today and life CHANGED. If you've ever been confused by the question of what you'd pick as your last meal, look no further than the sourdough breakfast panini. The amount of flavor in that sandwich from the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, to the shredded Gouda, grilled sourdough bread, tomatoes slices, and arugula will blow. Your. Mind. And once it's blown, you'll then get to pop one of the maple waffle fries that come with it in your mouth (and completely remind me of funnel cake!) and you will feel like life is complete, you have no regrets, and if it all ended today you would be able to die a happy human. Finding flavor like this (which I've only found in a few local spots like Zanatas or Fable and Fire in Rockwall) is an absolute diamond in the rough find for Fate! And after meeting the chef, Michael Shelley (who worked previously at a five star restaurant in Cali and has quite the illustrious history - go look him up!), you'll understand why flavors that you'd only expect to find down in Dallas are blowing your mind sitting at Red Dirt Social in Fate. (He also shared with us that the panini is a special recipe he created while working as a a private chef for a family and they would order it just about every other day. Trust me, I now know completely why.) My partner got the breakfast tacos and they were a totally different and just as delicious flavor palette. Packed with eggs, potatoes, bacon, veggies, and pepper jack cheese. The portions are HUGE. Where else can you find this much flavor in this much food?! I love the great seating options and the lowkey setup of picking your own table, ordering at the front when you're ready, and having it brought out to your table. Only complaint was on my partner's double chai latte where the beans were painfully over roasted and the smoky flavor overpowered the chai entirely, but some extra barista lessons needed aside, we're IN. This will for sure be our new breakfast spot (let's get honest, there aren't that many truly unique and good ones out this way if you want more than your typical diner style eggs, bacon, and pancakes) and we'll be bringing friends from out of town here as well! I have not been in Fate for years, and what a pleasure it was when I drove ther yesterday to meet a friend. We sat down at our table at Red Dirt Social to visit for 10 minutes - and the manager (or owner maybe?) commented how his space was built just for this reason - to relax and enjoy time. We never felt rushed, or felt like they wanted our table. That was refreshing! The space is lovely - truly! It was bright, open, minimal decor and it all worked beautifully together. Someone out real thought into decorating this space for people to gather and relax, and it showed. I ordered the pats (oatmeal) with fresh fruit and it was perfect! All the fruit blended well together for my oatmeal. I enjoyed every bite. I cannot wait to bring my husband back to see how much Fate has grown and to eat here once more. It's worth it! read more

We were in fate at random from Forney and just happened to see this place. We are so glad we did! The service was friendly from the moment we walked in the door. They were helpful and cheerful which immediately made the place feel welcoming. The London fog is easily the best London fog I have ever had. We absolutely love the food here! We come at least once, sometimes twice a month, and everything we've tried has always been delicious and tastes so fresh. The biscuits and gravy and the chicken Alfredo are our favorites -- both are a must-try! The seating area is a little difficult since it's a smaller space, but the staff is always so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I have been here three times in the last two weeks and it is definitely the best food in fate and rockwall in general. Their waffle is one of the best I have had in a very long while. The Gravy and Biscuit was well put together, flavorful and the biscuit was super fluffy. I have also had the chicken pasta and it was delicious. Would love even more vegetables in it like asparagus or maybe broccoli, but that is just a preference the dish is really good. Great location, inside is clean with nice esthetics. Absolutely hate that I have to leave this review. Waited 1 hr and 30 mins for chicken and waffles . The lady at the front was completely sweet. However, she struggled to even understand my simple order. After a hour of wait time, the waiter comes to me and say "the chicken and waffles aren't on your ticket". We could visually see it on the receipt plus my ticket was $60+ $10 tip. I told her there's no way you charged me for it and I never received it. I walk to the front, and now they find my order after I forced them to show me what they charged me for. Then after I go back to my table , and come back to the front, I ask "so are you making the order or refunding me" they say "oh we can do either one". I ordered the biscuits and gravy. Gravy was lukewarm at best, biscuits were at least hot. Solid flavor but for what you pay, the portion isn't worth it. Wife had the breakfast tacos. She said they were good but also agreed they were overpriced. The inside of the restaurant is nice for the most part. The booth side could use more depth. They do bring the food and drinks to your table and have people checking on you occasionally. Pros: I love the indoor garden decor, they have plants above the bar area and some framed on the walls. It's a nice touch to seating area which can host many guests. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the maple waffle fries, chicken & waffles, and the breakfast pizza. The fries were sweet and fried to perfection while the chicken was juicy and tender, and the pizza was perfect. Con: The drinks were not good. We had a hot chai latte and an iced latte. Both of them sadly tasted water downed. It tasted as if they just added milk and water together. This is certainly a place worth trying, you won't be disappointed in the food! This is our third time coming here. This is going to be an honest review. The first time we came back in spring of 2025, service was great but food was honestly not worth it at all for the price. I'm not one to leave a bad review because it's just my opinion and the amount of money and time they put into the place doesn't warrant a bad review. Second time we went, we sat at the bar and drank coffee. Coffee has always been fantastic. Third time are the pictures shown. We went after church this past weekend because honestly every where else we went was full with a wait so this was the last stop. It was very busy but we got a table. The menu is completely different from the first time we ate there which I was very happy to see. Bravo to you all! It was hard to decide what to get but what we did get was all fantastic! Had lunch with another awesome couple here. The joint's small and intimate. It gets a little loud at times. The staff were pleasant and were working their tails off. The owner/chef spoke with us briefly. We all ordered something different so we could sample. My buddy had the breakfast pizza, his wife the "crazy" Panini, Boss Lady the Monte Cristo, and I the Italian Panini. All were delicious and came out hot, if they were supposed to be that way. We also tried the meat lovers breakfast pizza on a cauliflower crust, and WOW. It's an incredibly unique dish with a pesto base, loaded with breakfast meats and topped with four sunny-side-up eggs. Absolutely delicious and massive--definitely enough for two people, which they could probably advertise! The food was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. We ordered the breakfast pizza with marinara sauce instead of pesto. The 3 bean chili and the biscuit and gravy. All were great. While eating a manager or owner maybe came around and said a lot of people order the pizza with the gravy as the base. And that he may change that item to being with the gravy instead of the pesto all together. We appreciate the people asking if we needed anything a couple times while we were dining in. Very good breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. The biscuits and gravy was very good. Soft/fluffy scratch biscuits with an Italian sausage gravy that was perfect.
