What an amazing meal! Fresh cornbread, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and turnip greens with pepper sauce. Pecan cobbler for dessert! 10/10!

Chicken and dressing with pea salad and sweet potato casserole. side of cranberries.

Home Cooking? Yes, please. We planned to be here on a Thursday for Chicken and Dressing and we have not been disappointed. Yummy! Note...this is great food you can cook at home but don't have to. Thus the name home cooking! Ms Karen is the BEST waitstaff around. Very helpful since we are first timers. She suggested the sweet potato casserole and it was worth our drive over. The ambiance is classic western right down to the music (perfect volume). Clean restrooms. Also, note, they are at a new location that is not yet to be on Google maps. It is 325 Jefferson St. East Thank you Ms. Karen, See you next time.

How cute is this place !!

Came here for lunch with my hubby. I had the absolute best Reuben I have had in my life. The waitress was awesome. Place was packed but service was excellent. Highly recommend!

$4.95 1/2 Pile Up: 1 egg really? 1 biscuit. Sausage patty, Browns and country gravy

Fab culture stop on Main Street stop, 5 miles off I30...and 5 mi that doesn't really assure you at all, that it was a good move). However, plod along and ye shall be rewarded. And, if you need to power up your Tesla , 6+ stations await you directly in front of the public parking lot, right across from this cute country cafe. The food was great value, home cookin' good, and love the cowboy town decor. My 1/2 order Pile Up was a tummy tucker with 1 scrambled egg that more than covered a split opened faced biscuit, atop a pile of crisp hashbrowns with 1/4" sausage patty and country gravy....everything's bigger next to TX too it seems, in Arkansas! Hub's gave me his tummy thumbs up too on a ham and cheese omelet with healthy helpings? lol, of each. He'd opt to upgrade to grits over TX toast next time, and I'm eyeing that butter pecan french toast! Waitresses were on top of their game, with frequent hot coffee fills, and checking in on dishes and any needs. Coffee was like Folgers kinda weak but always hot and actually better than expected. Sulphur Springs made Southern Living's Recommended List to visit as the posted sign touts as you enter the main town square, leaving the Cafe to return to I30 on the business loop. Would of loved to stop and explore but will hit it for sure next time! Noted a hipster style tap house and burger bar still brown paper wrapped next door that will tempt us too ;)

Was very pleasant and good food. I wish breakfast ran a little later. It's pricey for most lunch days I think.

We sampled several sides (okra, green beans, turnip greens, potatoes) so if you like home cooking, this is the perfect place!

We just stopped back in today at the new location and loved it…read more You don't have to fight with any parking issues at all now, they have plenty of parking available now. It seems like that they have a lot more dining space too. I don't know if we really ever been charged extra for any condiments, I know that when we asked for extra butter or something like that we have received plenty of it. When I had a food choice dilemma, the server usually would give me both if it was a small order of something at no extra cost. They always go the extra mile to satisfy us. Today we even paid for an elderly couple's bill, and slid out the door without them knowing about their bill being take care of by us. Hopefully it made their day. We can't afford to do that often, but if we see a Veteran or an elderly couple, just our way of thanking them without them knowing who did it. But we love the new location and as always tip the staff well when they do good.

We walked inside for the first time and it was just what a country diner should look like…read more Beautiful wood tables. Waitress sat us quickly and delivered our drinks. She gave us her recommendations but we both were hungry for a hamburger. It was great. Fries and okra were too. Restaurant was clean. Bathroom was clean. They had extra fans blowing everywhere, so it was nice and cool. Plenty of parking. Place is alittle off the beaten path but with the extra time for a nice relaxing lunch! And support locals!
