Not even worth a star. Absolute disrespected, lied too and my property was damaged. My wife set up a consignment for our 2021 Outback Toy Hauler. Mark was specifically asked if we needed to clean or winterize the unit before dropping it off at the dealership on September 6, 2024. Mark stated that they would take care of any work that needed done at our expense and they would not be responsible for winterization unless they did it themselves. We agreed and met with Mark to sign the paperwork. High insight, the first red flag was when he tried to get us to sign paperwork selling the camper for way below what it was was worth. 40k RV offered buyout Price 28k. I immediately corrected the situation by explaining that he quoted us 35k on the phone after the sale. Then the inspection he claimed repairs needed done to the camper that would also come out of the total sale, which we felt were ridiculous as well. We agreed and signed the consignment agreement. Sometime around the middle of October Mark called my wife and stated the weather would be getting cold soon and reconfirmed the winterization of the unit. Then on December 4, 2024 my wife receives a call from Mark asking why we haven't picked up our unit yet. She states that we dropped it off on the 6th of September and that they didn't even get it listed on their website until October. Mark proceeds to tell my wife that I called him and told him I was coming to get the camper before Thanksgiving. Confused about the comment, my wife asks me if I ever called camping world. First of all, I never called this guy or ever received a call from this guy. My wife set up the whole arrangement with her contact info. All I ever did was drive the unit to camping world and sign the consignment paper. Then Mark replied with the comment "well your time is up, come and get your camper". So, at this point it wasn't a big deal as we figured he was confused about who he spoke with or that he may of had some memory issues. I get in my truck and drive the 1 hour and 40 minute ride to Apollo Camping World to pick up my camper. The camper was located in the front pick up area with several others. I backed up to the camper and started to hook up. The power leveling device had no power, seemed odd that two brand new 8 hour batteries were dead. I plug in to the truck to get power and every single light on the camper lit up like a Christmas tree. Well that explains why the batteries are completely dead. At this point I'm a little bit irritated as I decide to open up the camper and inspect for anything that might need attention before I hit the road. I test the faucet for antifreeze and it's frozen solid. All five faucets are frozen solid and I can only imagine the hot water tank and pump. I walk in to Marks office and politely ask him about the dead batteries and the winterization. He states that there are over 300 campers on the lot and they can't keep them all charged. Ok what about every light in the camper on. They forgot to shut them off. What about the frozen lines. Mark bold face lies to my face saying "You call me and told me not to winterize it, I have the note here on my desk" Are you kidding me right now? So I get the keys and the title back from Mark and finish getting the camper ready to go. I look at the title and to my disbelief it has been signed and notarized sold by camping world. read more

Our salesman, Charlie Sirna and Service Tech, Nick Davis are one of a kind. We have been camping over 40 years and have purchased several trailers over the years, but Camping World of Apollo went above and beyond to make our purchase the best experience. The only place that had the trailer we wanted was a 5-hour drive away and it was worth the trip. We drove there because we had a "wish list" and were not willing to settle for less. After looking at the trailer we wanted, there were a few things that did not meet our list. Charlie and Nick went out of their way to make everything happen. Yes, we had to pay a little extra for some changes, but it was more than worth it. We have the perfect trailer and both Charlie and Nick are to be rewarded for their hard work and finding the perfect way to give us EVERYTHING we needed. I hope Camping World knows what a valuable asset they have in their staff. After we got the trailer home, we had additional questions. We called Charlie who set up a 10:00 am conference call with Nick to answer our questions. At exactly 10:00 our phone rang, Nick spent almost 45 minutes on the phone with us giving detailed answers to all our questions. He explained everything in detail and we never felt rushed to get off the phone. If we ever have to buy another trailer, I would not hesitate to take the drive to Apollo again. It's been 6 months since we got the trailer from camping world. I did read the reviews on here and well some are far fetched but most are right on. All I can say is you need to judge yourself. We did buy a New Travel trailer there were many bumps with the Camping World Dealer. For a fun enjoyable purchase became a huge headache. The unit Keystone Springdale we bought is perfect. We are very happy with the trailer and Keystone. Just the process getting it from the dealer was awful. I'm not going to bore everyone with the details of experience. I will say once we finally got the trailer off the dealer and got the title (yes we just paid in cash to get it away from Camping World). We did decide we will never return to a Camping World it was a crazy situation. I have been in contact with Keystone the trailer maker who has bent over backwards getting us information on other dealerships to service our unit. I have not heard a word from Camping World since the sale. I have since sent a informational letter to marcusvip@campingworld.com. Someone did contact back just today, but it's just too little too late. I don't want anything from them our unit is paid in full i don't need to deal with this. If we need something there are other places who will be thrilled to service our unit. I wish them Luck. We just don't need the headache when the unit can be serviced at other places. read more

I felt I had to say something. I have an RV that these people don't even deal with. I was having a couple of small issues. The first was an occasional small leak only in heavier rains. It looked like a rubber seal between two moving parts. I contacted the parts/service department looking for help. I like to support local businesses, even after the questionable reviews. The did not have a part that I could use but said they would look for a viable replacement. They spent two days looking and came up with a fix. I had just found the original replacement, thanks for your help. Now I wasn't purchasing a camper, just a do-it-yourselfer looking for help, not much money to be made here but they went the extra mile anyway. I needed some help again and went to visit because I wanted to see for myself, the place with these not too flattering reviews. They were very helpful and set me up with the part and proper sealer(yes, a leak) to fix me up. Even went as far as to take me in the back to talk to an old time camper repair tech. His knowledge was extremely helpful. Once again, not much money made on me but they treated me wonderfully! Form my experiences with them I would definitely recommend giving them a shot. I swore that I would never buy from camping world because of their poor reviews. However, I saw the toy hauler that I wanted at their place. I called and had the pleasure of meeting Susan ( we live 5 1/2 hrs from there).She was wonderful! I had several questions which required her to go out to the lot. She immediately went out and called with all the answers. She is very knowledgeable. The few things she wasn't sure of, she took the time to investigate, and give me the correct answer. There were no (I think, every question was researched before she answered me). After speaking with her, I was totally confident with her as my salesperson. However, I was still unsure of dealing with Camping World. Upon arrival, we were greeting by a team ( each with their own responsibilities). The person who gave us the tour of our vehicle was incredible. Very nice, considerate and knowledgeable. He explained how everything operated and repeatedly asked if there were any questions. To good to be true, right? Well, we still had the finance person to see. Are you bored yet? He was just as nice, he explained everything to us and there was absolutely no pressure. Really friendly staff, very welcoming place. The number one thing about this entire company? Their manager Jake. We had a few issues with our camper and Jake did everything in his power to make sure we were taken care of. He went to the ends of the earth, got everyone on his team and in that location to make it right again. I know everyone's name at the Apollo, PA Camping World's name for that reason. Give this man a raise and promotion immediately. Having said all of that, avoid Bob if you can. Every single person in the entire place (and at this point I know and have spoken to everyone there) is above and beyond friendly and helpful. Everyone except for Bob. He is rude and lacks basic people skills. The three times we'd had to deal with him during the entire process were uncomfortable, short, and unprofessional. The issue we ran into with our camper and Bob were not enough to have us go elsewhere. We've already told other people to go to this Camping World if they're even *thinking* of buying a RV, and even brought a potential customer with us the last time we were there. Go! Meet everyone - they're super friendly! And maybe if you get really lucky, you'll get to meet Jake. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience here. My wife and I decided to buy a toy hauler and come here to shop. We, on two separate occasions, came to look at inventory and were always treated well even though we weren't buying that moment. Our salesperson called us when a fantastic trailer came in, lightly used, so we could get the first chance at it. We made the purchase, but due to extenuating circumstances, found that my lifted diesel truck could not safely tow that trailer. The dealership was awesome! They said no problem, let's get you something that works, we'd never let you take a trailer you couldn't safely tow down the road. There was no hassle in getting us out of the old deal, they were accommodating and helpful getting us into a different trailer that worked. I can tell you, I was a Finance Manager for a large auto dealer for many years and my wife oversees 6 car dealerships for a living...we know about a proper buying experience. This entire purchase from beginning to end, even with a trailer switch, went smooth and we never had an ounce of stress. Just back from a 5 week vacation in our new 2022 Thor Sequence. Love the class B camper van. Our salesman, Charlie Sirna , helped us get this camper van from Ohio. He knew what we wanted and found one.We were treated very fairly with our 2018 Thor Four Winds trade in. There was no pressure. We have had a few glitches with things in the camper but this is not the fault of this dealership. Remember demand is high and not enough workers and parts . We have a good warranty and Thor stands by its product. I have talked to Thor techs several times and they are very helpful. Upset you can't get an appointment... the whole industry has problems. On our trip a guy with a new $630,000 rig has had mobile rv service 13 times. Service appointments are booked solid. They are doing the best they can. We plan to go back to Camping World in the fall to get it winterized, inspected and fix a few of the glitches. We found the mechanics to be very friendly ,professional and competent. read more

We had been browsing for a 5th wheel for about three years, closer to retirement we said. So we stopped off at Camping World while in the area, and before we knew it, a deal we couldn't pass up!! Box it up, we'll take it!! Amanda Muffi is da bomb when it comes to sales people!!! We were so appreciative of her!! Hope she continues to meet and be so helpful to many more like us! And wearing that awesome white mask made just for her!! Raven took us on our "shopping trip" and was just what the doctor ordered when it came to helpful hints and pointing us in the right direction! Our walk through on the day of pick up went smoothly! Wil took as much time as we wanted and was so helpful even with me asking tons of the most simplistic of questions that my husband didn't need asked, but I did!!!! We were helped by RV Sales Associate, Susan Gardner, who was knowledgeable, pleasant, very much present with us in the moment and extremely helpful. We called, made an appointment and she spent a lot of time with us to find the right used travel trailer. It was so nice to deal with someone who really knows what they are doing and who is interested in providing great customer service. I can't say enough about how good the service was. Regarding Camping World, in addition to purchasing the travel trailer, we also got a complimentary membership to Good Sam's, a Good Sam's Guide book, suggestions for discounts on insurance and a free safety check before pulling out of the lot. We keep saying that calling Camping World and getting Susan was the best call we have made in a long time. We highly recommend Susan Gardner if you are going to Camping World. First time camper buyers ..... this was our 3rd stop . We were greeted by Amanda who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and apreciated. She took our daughters aside and made them hot apple cider to have while we were looking... Jeff our salesperson listened to our needs and didn't try to oversell us.. you get in these little golf carts to go look around their huge inventory which the children of course loved. We looked at several options and fell in love with one that was slightly out of our price range. Not only did this team do everything they could for us to make it work they were genuine throughout the whole process. We left feeling like we got a great deal with the camper that we loved. First off I have been searching for a new camper for several months. I have reached out to several camping world locations and received little to no follow through on their end... Until I was contacted by Dan Michelberger and the staff at camping world of Pittsburg. This location was over an 8 hour drive from my house! Dan provided me with detailed pictures and helped answer any questions I had before I committed and made the trip. I shopped for myself ( 65 year old woman) and never felt slighted or less than. I ask a million ( probably stupid) questions being a newbie to camping.
