Within 2 months of owning the camper, we found that we had leaking coming in through the windows. We brought the unit back, and it sat there for well over a month. We had no communication from the staff about the status of the camper and had to call multiple times. We finally got ahold of the person who told us the tech who was supposed to be working on our camper was out sick. (this is a running theme with the staff that every time we call someone is sick or out). They finally told us that they could not recreate the issue, and nothing can be done. My husband and I had to find the issue on our own and fix it ourselves. (Leak coming in through the top of the window weep and building up inside the camper, but, they could not figure that out and properly seal it.) We went camping about 4 hours from our house, and the water heater started leaking and dripped water all over the inside of our camper. We took the camper back to camping world and it took 2 months for them to inspect the water heater, determine it was faulty, and then replace it. Again, we received no communication and had to call multiple times and finally we were able to come and pick the camper up. We asked multiple times if a proper inspection was done, and the water heater issue was fully resolved before we came and picked it up. We were told that a full inspection was done and everything this is good to go. When we inspected it at pick up, we found that the camper had large dents all over the side. We spoke to body shop manager who confirmed that the unit was not dropped off in this condition, and they have no idea how all of these dents appeared on the side of our camper. They then had to order all new siding and decals. We decided to take the camper home, since leaving it on their property did not seem safe as it gets damaged under their care, and we were going to bring it back when the new siding came in. When we brought the unit back home, we hooked up the water, and within 2 minutes we found that the new water heater that was replaced was LEAKING. We called and they ended up having to send out a mobile tech who said that the water heater was not connected correctly. They also tried to put some putty around the valves which he said it not supposed to be there (assuming they must have saw it was leaking still and tried to cover it up). The tech was able to order new valves and fixed the issue correctly. It took 2 months to get the siding and decals in, and we told them that we absolutely do not want to leave our camper sitting over on there property for long periods of time. We checked multiple times before bringing it in that they have everything they needed and said we could pick it up in 2 weeks maximum. Of course, 2 weeks passed and there was no word from camping world about picking up our unit. I called the servicer person handling our issue, and it went to voicemail. I left message and never heard back. I called the next day, and same thing. Finally just called the general servicer desk, and was told that they had a piece of siding that they didn't know needed to be replaced, and they were waiting on a decal to come in..... Somehow they managed to order the extra piece of siding they didn't know they needed, but didn't manage to order the decal. Doesn't make sense. We were told the unit was ready other than the decal and we could come pick it up. When we went to get our camper, I was sure to let them know how absolutely displeased we are with their whole company and how we regret ever buying a camper from them. Every issue we have had, their has been zero communication and accountability from the camping world staff. My husband and I are considering trading our camper into one of the other camping companies in the area (there is plenty in this area) just so we never have to deal with camping world of Tampa again. As we were inspecting the camper during the last pick up, one of our windows was left WIDE open by one of the staff. Thank god we didn't have any heavy rains, or we probably would have had interior damage. I would encourage anyone thinking of buying a camper to avoid this place as much as possible. read more

I have traveled across the country and have been a Camping World member for years. I've used their service, bought products and even have their insurance. I've never felt ripped off until today. I was charged an additional 1 1/2 hrs labor for a simple install and today was charged extra for an oil change. When I asked about the difference in price I was told the extra charge was for shop supplies. No where was shop supplies listed on my estimate or the price board. They made the price adjustment but to punish me made me wait extra to bring my motorhome to me. These people are thieves. I'll drive the extra miles to avoid this place. read more

Service is run by a bunch of ass Clowns and no one has the slightest clue what the hell is going on or which way is up. Sold us a used unit that needed some repairs which is fine. Problem is none of the repairs where made. Now we have a unit that has water leaks , 1 broken A/C and 23 other issues that were documented by the service tech. Thankfully Marine one finance is working on canceling the contract . 2015 Keystone Montana 3711FL $42K and apparently needed over 15K worth of repairs that were never brought to our attention by sales. Lying thieving scam artists. Used or not this unit should have been gone through to make sure it was re-sellable . Was delivered filthy inside and not repaired like promised. I was hoping this day would eventually come. The day where my family and I would start wanting to get outdoors more and start enjoying nature. We were tired of sitting around the house trying to figure out what to do with our weekends. Our first stop in squashing this problem? Camping World. We chose this location because they have the largest inventory around. I first spoke with Camille over the phone and I could instantly tell that this would be a pleasant transaction. She's so down to earth and not pushy at all. In fact, during the entire transaction I never felt like we were being forced to do anything. The first camper we looked at was listed at an amazing price, but really showed its age. It needed a lot of work, which I was assured that they would be willing to do to make the deal. My wife and I just weren't feeling it, so we moved on. Again, no pressure at all from Camille. We were about to leave when we spotted it. A 2014 Keystone Passport. It was perfect. My wife and I decided not to buy that day because we had errands to run, but Camille made sure that camper was going to be ours. After a couple of days and a little back and forth on the phone with Camille and Sean the Sales Manager, we came to an agreement and took delivery of our new camper about a week ago now. They were willing to stay open a couple of hours after they closed to close the deal and send us home with the camper that day. The Camping World store at this location is like a mini Bass Pro Shops. It's pretty large in comparison to other Camping Worlds. They have anything and everything you can ever want or need for camping. It's awesome! At the end of the day I absolutely love this Camping World location and would use them again in a heartbeat. I just wish they were closer to home. Hope to see all you fellow Yelp campers out there! Well. Let me tell you about what we are dealing with right now. At the end of February of this year we went looking for an RV. We found one at a local RV dealer that was the perfect size for us. It is a 2005 with only about 40,000 miles on it. It ran perfect on the test drive and the generator started easily and ran smooth. All of the lights, appliances and slides operated with no issue. There were some things that needed attention but nothing appeared to be more than cosmetic and not unexpected due to the age of the coach. Well..........within weeks (and I mean one or two) of signing everything we started having issues. I am not sure of what inspection they conduct at this particular dealership when they get vehicles in and prepare them for sale but I am thinking that the person doing them is most likely blind, deaf and completely illiterate. We had it in the shop within a month of purchasing it and found that it needed an oil change, new plugs and a complete tune up and there was a hose that had a hole in it the size of a quarter that is no longer made due to the age and had to be repaired as best as possible. This was to the tune of almost $1200. Now, we thought OK, we are good now, but nope. We had to take it back in to have the tires checked and filled because the electronic gauge system is obsolete and we could not find directions on how to remove the covers from the valve stem. Let's see, what else......OH! There are 2 back up cameras and neither seem to work. The stereo system does not operate most of the time. The electronic gauges for the water system and battery levels do not work. The damage to the floor (soft floor) appears a lot more extensive that was indicated. And now! The generator does not power anything!! It is connected and runs but does not power anything! We have had it checked by Onan certified people and it turns out that there is an electrical issue somewhere inside of the camper itself. So, the wonderful walk thru that was done with us showing that the generator works and everything turns on and the great test drive appears to have been a bait and switch with most likely everything operating on the batteries and some bubble gum and tape on the engine. We are very displeased about everything because we now have this RV that we owe A LOT of money on that will have little resale value and cannot be used unless there is electric hook ups. I spoke with someone the week after the first issue back in March but did not even receive a courtesy call to say there is nothing they could do. Nothing! I am so angry right now!! Camping World, you need to get it together. I will not be returning to you for our next RV and will never recommend you to anyone. UPDATE: On Friday, 11/13/2020 I got a call from our sales person about 30 mins ago. He said that he got a message that I was there a few days ago with my father looking at an $11,000 camper.   He said he saw the name Kimberly and thought that he recognized the name.  OK, let's evaluate this. First of all, for a few that know, and those that do not, I am 2 weeks post op and certainly would not be out shopping like this. I have ventured out to Walmart a few times and a trip to the feed store for chicken feed but otherwise home bound, soooooo no. Second: I have an RV and sold out last camper so why would I I want to go back to a pull behind camper? I do not like them and do not want one. Third: My name, Kimberly, "seemed familiar"? Really?? In your 50+ years on this planet (yes I know that he is a few years older than me through his great sales technique of personalizing himself to me to garner trust) you have NEVER met a Kimberly? He kept calling me Kimberly. Again, those of you that know me know that I do not go by Kimberly except formally. I would not leave that name in any message. Finally:  There is one big and obvious reason that there is no way that I was there with my father a few days ago looking for a camper.......wait for it......my father passed away 3 1/2 years ago.  So, unless I was carrying an urn, this is an absolute impossibility. And quite honestly, a repulsive excuse that he gave, again to try to personalize things. The only logical reason is that they saw my FB post, that I tagged them on, or they saw my Google review.  He acted completely surprised about the issues that I told him we were having and said that he would talk to his manager and call me back.   Yeah, we shall see. As of 11/16/2020 we have yet to have heard from anyone. No surprise there. read more

I have called Chris Tadlock and Mike Whiteman at the Tampa Camping World to get a refund on my road hazard policy through Safe Guard. I had to cancel through Safe Guard since I could not get a call back from Camping World. Safe Guard cancelled my coverage in 2 days and sent Camping World notice of my refund. The refund comes from where you bought the policy. Going on 70 plus days and no resolution. Calling everyday now but finace guy Chris Tadlock will never answer his phone, always goes to voice mail. Called the corporate headquarters and was told I would get a call in 48 hours. No call. Beware once Camping World gets your money it is hard to get a refund. I have learned your better off self insure. The GOOD SAM extended service plan is a rip off. read more

DON'T go here. There is so much more to choose from along the highway. Todd in part is very nice, but that is the only thing this place has going for them. We bought a 2 chairs and an armrest insert. When I went back to see how things were going for the install, the technician was shoving the seat bottom through the door. I asked him to remove a and rail that was in the way. He didn't pull the seat back out just left it squished in the door while he removed the top part of the hand rail, then he kept pushing the seat base. That still did not work, so he finally unhooked the bottom part of the handrail and scratched the wall scratch the cabinet and scratch the other wall. I told my salesman about the scratches and he did not say anything to compensate or to take care of the problem. I asked that he have his manager contact me and I have made three phone calls without any return call. Upon further inspection the whole reason why we purchased the chairs is because they recline, well since he was pushing the base through the door he unhook the cable for the leveler that opens the chair for the footrest to extend. Then we noticed the center armrest has hooks at the very bottom it was not needed for the setup, he could have taking those off so they do not puncture a hole in the side of my seat, to me it is common sense. We live 2 1/2 hours away from this location and now we will have to spend a total of eight hours not only of our time but driving back-and-forth to rectify this issue and deal with repainting and repairing the walls The technician damaged. When you go to camping world you expect quality this experience was far from it. It is unfortunate that a big name as such little quality. If I had not gone outside to see the progress I would have never seen how he was squishing the cushion through the door. Very disappointed. We own a class A Diesel pusher 36 feet, it seems they would want to take care of the future customer but I will not be their future customer. If this is what I am to expect from Service. read more

We bought our Fox River, Gray Wolf RV on 6/15/17. During the checklist inspection, they said our door had to be replaced!!! In front of the Salesman, Dave Pence and Service Manager, Mike Doyle. We have taken it in 3 times, since then for this and other minor repairs. NOTHING resolved! We paid almost 4,000 more for an additional warranty to cover wheels to roof. Does not matter. Left it there from 8/2 to 8/17. Twice stated that we needed to pick up at 1:00 p.m. Our tow hitch clip was missing. They had to go to LazyDays and buy one. The wood footings my husband had drilled together to stabalize the hitch, missing. Finally found, just as we were about to leave AT 3:00 p.m. Service after the sale is non existent. Had a Dometic A/C unit installed on top of a conversion van 6 months ago. in the middle of our first week long trip and are having to have it repaired as they left in the fan mount screws laying loose in the bottom of the unit and the unit stopped working. Terrible customer service, sales will promise you anything to seal the deal, and of course, never deliver on their promises. delivery was awful, anything that was going to be done before delivery was not. Service is the worst, they display a "who cares" attitude. They act like they are doing you a favor, not their jobs. Our experience with this dealership has been extremely negative. We purchased a fifth wheel new in late July 2020. At time of purchase, we identified a needed repair and the technician photographed the issue, saying that the part would be repaired once received from the factory.Now, six months later after numerous phone calls both to camping world Tampa and G ood Sam corporate we still have not had a resolution of the problem. i would give a zero if i could. bought a 2019 wildwood on sat jan 7 2023. once we pulled out of the lot the back passenger taillight cover fell off and broke. got to the property and notice the black water tank showing full. feces!!! that is f nasty disgusting and unacceptable. on tue jan 10th 2023 we tried the passenger slide out an it wouldn't retract. also notice the center island is not secure. called for assistance and basically told oh well as is you have to pay for diagnostic then whatever to fix. are you mf serious. i get as is however you as a company signed saying the tanks were all flushed out and they were not which is illegal. 2nd it not like this happen weeks later it 4 flipping days but i c this is how you treat customers you screw them over. to easy. i got one word for you lawyer. c u in court. do not go to this place unless you want to be f over. 20k and already have to pay to fix shit no acceptable camping world. not acceptable miles mcdonald. not acceptable to the b**** i talk to that said as is and hung up. i got you read more

We spent most of a day shopping for RVs at the 3 dealerships in this area. This is a review ONLY for the experience of shopping and the sales staff we worked with, NOT for service or actual purchasing. Here are the things that stuck out to me: Our salesman was a really nice guy, he drove us around EVEN IN THE RAIN, even though we said we were just getting started on this RV journey. He gave us a lot of education throughout the hour or so we spent together which we were really appreciative of. Our salesman was retired military. Another guy was a Lions fan. Overall they seemed relaxed and happy to be at work, not like they were only there to push sales. There is a huge accessory store here too, and it sells just about everything you could need from appliances to little gadgets for the kitchen (like collapsible colanders). FREE popcorn. HOT HOT HOT it will burn you (that's what the sign says) free popcorn. Free hot beverages. Large selection of new RVs in all sizes and trim/quality levels. There are multiple lots. Not a huge selection of used RVs, but there are some, and they were cleaned up really nice. When you buy an RV here, you get a membership to all the Camping Worlds all across the USA, which is kind of cool. Our salesman said you can camp at them for free. You also get discounts on the products in the store. So anyhow, in terms of our initial visit we had a very pleasant experience. I'd especially recommend it if you're a beginner to RVing (my boyfriend is but I had a vintage trailer in my 20s) because the education may prevent you from missing out on a feature you'll really like to have...or blowing money on something you just don't need. read more

It's been in the service department at Camping World for 2 months now and they keep telling they are waiting on parts from the manufacturer. I'm getting the run-around..... Spent six months looking and reviewing travel trailers to purchase. Went to Camping World in Tampa on McIntosh Rd and Holiday along with their competitors. Tracie Trainham was the sales representative we made contact with that was setup for us to meet. Tracie showed us everything we wanted to see and helped us make sure they had everything we needed and wanted. We selected a Keystone Bullet UltraLite 287QBS. We went to sign the financing and everything Mar 23 2019. We received a trailer orientation and sway bar installation then met with Steve in Finance. Tracie told us it would take three hours and it really did. Talk about time management and we never felt rushed. Way to go. read more

If I could pick zero stars I would. This place is an absolute nightmare to work with. They bent over backwards to make sure they got their sale which we thought was great! Except we bought the camper at the end of June, went camping one time over the Forth of July and, had to return it for minor cosmetic repairs. They have had our BRAND NEW 2021 camper for almot THREE months now. The last phone call we had was from Tabitha two weeks ago! When my husband spoke with her, she told him that our camper just needed to go to detail. How long does it take to detail a 32 foot camper? We have had reservations to take a trip to Georgia for two months now. We leave Monday! My husband has called multiple times with no luck to speak with anyone who could give us answers so he has left message after message with not a single return call from ANYONE! He called again this morning and asked for the Service Manager, left another message, with no response, of course. So he called in the afternoon asking to speak to the General Manager and was told he was off on Thursday's. So he asked to speak with Jacqueline who is the customer service representative who he last spoke with and is the ONLY person who has returned our calls. So now we have no camper and no contact with anyone at camping world. Can you imagine how we feel at this point? I am beyond words! Since leaving a YELP review is the only way to get a response from this company, (after the GM responded to my compliment on this page) I WANT MY BRAND NEW, 2021 CAMPER BACK NOW!! We will never use this place again, not for repairs, not for anything. Mr. Good if you want to speak to us, please call my husband his number is on file. As for everyone else, if you find camping as relaxing as we do, DO NOT use this company for your camping needs! Tampa and Ocala Camping World have the WORST customer service ever. We visited Tampa a few weeks ago and left with a bad taste and hoped Ocala would be different. We were wrong! The sales women had a 100 questions and a "form" to fill out before we even step foot into a RV. After letting them know that we were only interested in looking at RV's she pretty much told us to "go look" on our own. We were looking for a bunk house which are hard to find so the last thing we wanted to do was have to go inside everyone to find a bunkhouse. She actually threw her pen down due to us not wanting to sit in and office and fill out forms. We will not be returning to ANY Camping World to purchase or have the RV, that we will be purchasing, worked on. read more

We have been travel trailer shopping for quite some time (we finally found one), but this place was the one place I did not enjoy. Our sales person was wonderful, however subjecting me to country music the entire time I am there is unacceptable. A variety is ok, but I couldn't wait to leave. If we had found the perfect trailer there I would have told them if they want a sale change the station. Now I know this sounds trite and petty, but I have personal reasons. I bought a 5th wheel there. Told the salesman I wanted a new one with a warranty. They slipped me a new"used" one, with no warranty. All the time telling me I had a warranty. Didn't realize it until I need some repair work and drove there. Found out they no longer serviced that brand and that I didn't have a warranty after I had to drive another hour to Brandon. The salesman, sales manager and finance manager all lied to me. I refuse to do any business with Camping World now. And I need to buy thousands of dollars of supplies to get ready to go traveling. We traveled in our motorhome from California to Florida seeing baseball parks along the way. Going from the Miami area to Tampa, our electrical stopped working, and with the heat and humidity, we were suffering. Found the Camping World near Tampa, and got the best customer service we could have hoped for from Michael Clifford in Service. Although swamped with work, they were able to find and fix the problem (a short in the surge protector/burned wires). We were able to continue on our trip, and everything has worked perfectly since. Let me preface this by saying that I HATE to complain, (all my reviews of other businesses are always positive), but If it were possible, my review would be zero stars. They are very eager to sell you a product, but getting it serviced is an absolute nightmare. Communication is non-existent here, from the top down. If you want any sort of update on the status of a repair, good luck getting in touch with someone. No phone calls saying "It's ready, or at least "It, will be another week", etc. The unit was in twice for the same problem, (not fixed the first time after weeks of waiting), and they STILL didn't repair the other issues. When we picked the unit up (both times) the battery lid was missing, and the inside was filthy with dust and debris from the repairs. I have informed the main office of CW that I will not be bringing our unit back to this location under any circumstances, and will go to another one. In a word, disgraceful. read more
