I honestly thought i would just look at prices n leave live what happened in Harley Davidson. But im impressed. I found sport bike gloves i like n the engine coolant i needed. I will come back for the jacket and the other parts i need for my bike. I liked their prices n their energy. I think in the future, when i get more comfortable I'd consider buying an upgrade here. The gentleman that approached me when i came in. Didn't try to over sell me a bike. He was kind enough to give me realistic feedback to my current comfort level n experience. I am happy i saw the Kawasaki ZX series in person. That bike us beast!! When we originally purchased our jet skis in 2015 we went to Barney's first and did not receive good customer service and they would not budge at price, we went somewhere else and saved a total of $3k on our 2 jet ski and double trailer package. Fast forward to today went in to look at some jet skis but all they had out was about 7 ski's and zero 2020's most of their inventory on the floor is 4 wheelers and motorcycles. They seemed to know nothing about the new accessories or linx system available for Sea Doo and they are a Sea Doo dealer. Again disappointed. This may be a good place to purchase some powersports but there are much better options for jet skis. The place is large and clean but just not where I will choose to spend my money. I will go somewhere with more variety to see in person and better customer service. read more

Went in just browsing, they had a used TC50 kids mx bike at $3800. When I ask about an out the door price paying cash a manager got involved.. $799 dealer fee, $499 document fee plus tax and registration.. $1298 fees on a used kids bike!! Absolutely ridiculous!!! read more

When I set up an appointment at the time of sale for the first oil change they never call to confirm the appointment. They never return service calls either. Working in automotive sales, Our company would be better than this. Try to call and "resolve" the issue but all you get us "I'm sorry you feel this way" This company does NOT care about you as soon as they have their money. We went to Rockstar Powersports due to the high reviews and the advertised price on an ATV we were going to purchase for our grandson. The advertised price was $2,688. When the sales manager/finance guy returned with our out the door price it was $4,920. The price almost doubled with fees. I was paying cash so none of these fees were finance charges. $1,000 prep fee, $500 freight fee and the list went on. I was jaw dropped by the final quote! I informed them that this was essentially a bait and switch scheme and promptly left. I would like to say that our sales person Paul was great. He was very helpful and personable. I have been shopping for a new Adventure bike and ran around to a few locations. The folks in Barneys were by far the nicest and the most eager to show me around and take the time to talk to me. The sales guy I met, Dennis, was extraordinary. He has a lifetime of motorcycling experience on various styles, and was able to speak to the various models with expertise. He was so patient and attentive. The first day I sat on about half dozen bikes, and narrowed it down to three. But he asked numerous questions about what I wanted to do and helped me reduce that to just a couple of options. In the end, after visiting another store and not quite getting the same kind of service, nor did they have a good selection, I returned to Barneys. The price for the new bike was below MSRP and I decided to buy. They then set me up with another guy (Ryan) who was great with the accessories, patiently walking me through various jackets, gloves, and helmets--even going back to find me a specific helmet style I wanted--and they had it! Their service manager Eric was also really kind and we had a good talk. I left kitted out and happy as a pig in slop. I should give props to the lady from financing who spent quite a bit of time with me and got me approved. For the first time ever, I got to RING THE BELL and buy a NEW motorcycle. The bike is GREAT. A business that's closed on Mondays oh man that's really hard to deal with when that is a business day for everyone. I have my bike in services for 2 day all for a tire . I called other places to see how-long it would take them to change it and they said about 1 hr . I haven't got a call about my bike for any updates witch sucks I probably won't be bringing it back for service anytime soon. It's doesn't seem to win my trust . They were cool with me sitting on multiple bikes with no intention to buy just window shopping, no problem. Long story short I end up purchasing a bike I had no intentions on buying, and I could not be happier. The process was very easy and only took about two hours. I went there to buy a Can-Am. I was hoping to speak with the salesperson I talked to on the phone but was assigned to a guy that was new. He showed me a model out back. Looked like where they threw their junk. The one there fit it looked like junk. Then we was shown another one out front it was the only other one they had. We had my husband's motorcycle repaired at the service department. Customer service was good. However, when we went to pick up the bike, we were told there was a knock still in the motor/engine. We asked if we should have it towed back to the house or if it is safe to ride it home that's about 15 minutes away. We were told it's safe to ride it back home. My husband went ahead and rode the motorcycle back home per a professional's advise. However, the bike started fish tailing and skidded more than 100 yards before crashing. The motorcycle was totaled and my husband was hurting for a while after the incident. Wish we would have towed the motorcycle back home. We trusted the service advisor's advice since he is the professional and my husband ended up getting hurt and the motorcycle ended up getting totaled. read more

We bought a new lifted Can-Am HD 1000 Lonestar in October 2019. Everything went really well with the purchase and the staff was excellent. This year we have had a handful of issues which have caused a lot of frustration. At times it wasn't easy and required a lot of back and forth between dealership, manufacture, aftermarket warranties ect... the true review comes when there are issues after the sale and you need the dealership who sold you the unit to stand behind their products and do whatever is necessary to get it resolved. Hands down we are 100% satisfied with the GM Kevin and the service manager Kenny. They both went above and beyond. They worked non stop to find a resolution and help us enjoy our purchase. Me and my spouse dropped by to look at that they have in inventory. First impression when we walked up to the building was based on the used bikes outside. They were all dirty from being wet and road dust. It was disappointing to see them all dirty. There is road construction which I am sure is a pain to keep them clean, but it was a turn off. After deciding on the model, I appreciated the timeliness of the no nonsense negotiation and fair trade for my bike. Be very careful with your credit card info! Called to order parts over the phone at around 9 am, gave my credit card number and was told my order was placed. The next day I called to see if my parts were in and was told my order was not eligible for next day delivery since I placed it after 12. I asked how that was possible and the manager said EVEN THOUGH HE REMEMBERED SPEAKING TO ME AT 9, my order was placed at 12. I cancelled my order immediately. They must have written my card number down and placed the order after lunch. Bad customer service on top a unsecured buyer experience. This happened about a year ago and I just refuse to go back. I buy my parts anywhere else. The attempt to discredit my review by K.C. W. of Barney's of Brandon is greatly appreciated. I also appreciate your attempt explain your credit card process to me. I am amazed none of your staff have the ability to write something down as I read it to them over the phone. Since I was foolish enough to read it off to your staff over the phone I admit some if not all blame to be mine, but your staff did process my order hours after I read them my information and I canceled my card immediately after the transaction . Your need to research my "story" only makes your entire business appear more inept. I have no interest in reliving the horrors of my last order with you just so you can pretend to be a professional. In the future if you wish to alleviate a customers concerns you should as start at it day one. This issue was brought to your parts manager (as he was identified) and he failed to address it. This is a hard place to pin a score to, due to the fact that my scores for each category (customer service, pricing, and repair shop) vary so wildly. On service alone, I'd give them five stars. The staff and service are great. I've always had a good customer service experience in both the parts/gear and showroom area. That being said, Barney's is one of the more expensive places in the area. On average, their prices are about 10-15% higher than local competitors. I would probably chalk that up to the usual dealer markup. Unfortunately, I really have to gig them on their maintenance department due to current policies. I went in a couple months ago to get new tires and was told that they generally don't work on bikes over 10 model years old (mine's a 92) due to "potential liability" concerns with older bikes and that I would need to bring in my rims in order to have new tires put on. I understand if they wouldn't want to work on electrical systems, carbs, or other parts that are hard to find these days and/or are somewhat fragile due to aging and wear/tear, but telling me to take off my rims and bring them in to have tires put on is pretty absurd. It is even more annoying since I have a universal fork/swingarm stand and would have to make a separate trip for each tire. read more

This place apparently will not work on personal water craft over 10 years old. I have 2 yamaha units and both are over 10 years old and they will not work on them. My lake neighboor has a nice big 3 person yamaha about 10 years old and they relectantly worked on it . Love the product but I would not buy new from this place. Too many used at affordable prices. I was left stranded in a rain storm recently on my Bike I purchased at this Barney's a couple of years ago. I was distraught and unsure what to do. I called Pat Lynch with Barneys who saw that my battery was replaced a couple of years ago and thought that was the issue. I spoke to Kenny at the shop and he quoted a battery replacement. The next thing I know Kyle came and picked me and my bike up in the Barney's truck. I had a new battery, a running bike, and an outstanding experience. I walked in around 10:30 and spoke with a nice young salesman, I wanted a wave runner that day because I drove from Sarasota and was going on vacation. I picked one and purchased it, paperwork was done by noon. I was told about an hour and a half to get it ready. That was a lie! They told me they'd have it done by 5. I took a nap in my truck and went back at 4:30 and inquired. As I was standing behind the dirt bikes I heard the Floor manager Eric, say to 2 employees, can you start that ski because the big guy in the blue shirt is making Everyone feel uncomfortable??? Right then and there I requested to cancel the sale at which time they pleaded and said they'd deliver it the next day which they already knew I was leaving for vacation. Not even a call the next day to apologize or reconcile the deal. They think once paperwork is done you're at their mercy........ you're not. Kenny and Paul in service are great. When I dropped off my Spyder for annual servicing the trailer I had it on wouldn't drop its tail end down to allow unloading. They went the extra mile and assisted me with a work around to get the bike off the trailer. It had to stay over night and they kept me informed of what was going on with It. I kept having to call the sale guy Eggroll, to find out what was taking so long, with get me approved,he told me that due to the COVID19 it was taking the bank awhile to get back with me. After a week he stopped even getting my texts. I called to ask to speak to the store manager and was told me each times that he was unavailable to speak to me. I had an issue that would just not go away and they stayed with it and tested the ski until they knew that they had done it right and that I was totally satisfied. I can not say enough about Kenny in service, he is an incredibly dedicated service professional with good follow through on issues. Hear great thinks but have yet to experience any of them. Dropped one of my ATVs off for repairs. A week and a half later we are still waiting on parts to come in. EVERY time I call in to check and see if it's ready, I am on hold for OVER 15 minutes AND STILL don't get the de garment I called in for because they are " to busy", I guess for existing customers.
