In June 2022, we found ourselves in the little town of Carrabelle with outside temps in the 90s, humid, and one of our two AC units out. Called around and found the location in Panama City had 3 left (they had 7 a week prior). We told them to hold it for us and we would be there in about an hour. Drove directly there and upon arrival, they had sold 1, promised another to a customer who was on their way, and mine. $900 later, I had the AC in the back of my truck headed east to install it before it got dark. Installed with some help from fellow campers in the resort we were at and it was awesome to feel the cold air again. Thanks Pensacola CW for making our next 10 days, great, in the panhandle of Florida. Their service and parts department were great to work with and their cashiers didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. Make the drive, you won't be disappointed! PS. Stopped in to filled a propane tank after finding the state park we were staying in doesn't offer this option - this visit was a little chaotic but everything worked out, after visiting the front desk they weren't prepared to answer my question whether or not they had the staff onsite who could perform this task. Once we confirmed they could fill a propane tank I drove to the gate and met the technicians who climbed off a RV roof to assist me - He was very friendly and filled the bottle in a matter of minutes gave me a ticket so I could pay the cashier, she was also friendly and efficient, I'd definitely return for this type of service... read more

Buying from Camping World has been an absolute nightmare. They sold us a roach infested camper and then completely ghosted us after promising to make things right. We were told the unit would be cleaned before we came to pick it up. It wasn't. After reporting the issues to them, we were told that we'd receive additional professional cleaning covered by camping world. We did not. None of that ever happened. We called and emailed multiple people, multiple times, and got zero response. Our salesman was James. We called to speak to him directly several times and he never once got back to us. They also claimed they had replaced the refrigerator, but after we had a licensed exterminator come out, he told us there was no possible way they had ever removed the fridge. The infestation underneath and behind it was so severe that anyone removing it would have seen the problem immediately. So either they are lying, or they knowingly left the roaches and sold it to us anyway. We had to rip out the carpet and furniture, scrub the walls and ceilings, and spend our own money and time cleaning just to try to make it livable. The infestation was so bad, we couldn't even bring our pets inside for fear they would carry bugs back into our home. This wasn't a couple roaches. It was a full blown infestation that had clearly been there for a long time. To make it worse, they promised to only run our credit once. They ran it six separate times, which hurt our credit score. And when we asked about it? Silence. Just like every other promise they made. Camping World is shady, dishonest, and careless. We feel completely taken advantage of and want to warn anyone thinking about buying from them. Don't do it. They'll say anything to close the deal. Spend your money somewhere that actually values customers and doesn't sell infested garbage. At this point, I honestly wish we could just return the camper and walk away from this disaster. Be careful of the Panama City location. they hire criminals here and they are super scammy. James and his wife Nicole are very unprofessional. I was called a bitch. They tried to slip in upwards of 5k worth of extra charges on my contract. Made me and my family, including small child wait from 10 am to 3:45 pm to buy a camper when I had an appointment and put down a deposit. I waited an hour or so as James, the person I had the apt with, was nowhere in sight. Then everyone went to lunch at campworld, while my family and I sat in the waiting room, thru lunch. They either shit in the camper while there was no water in it all week while it sat on the lot for a week waiting for me to pick it up or they knew there was shit in it and tried to cover the smell, after saying they cleaned and checked everything (their reason for brining it up to Panama City from ocala, and they did no such thing accept try to charge me a 900$ transport fee. James tried to "sweeten the deal" and threw some old parts in the back of my truck saying it was a surge protector and a sway bar. The surge protector was fried and the sway bar didn't fit so they tried to convince me I didn't need it. I had to talk to someone completely different to get the sway bar that was promised to me as a part of my package. So after getting to the campsite at dusk and finding out that the black water was caked on the pipes and stinking filth with my small child in the camper, because the criminals at camping world had been taking dumps in there, after feeling the most mistreated I have ever felt in my life, I wrote this review to warn others. I wish this update was a positive one. We are now at 10/10 and I am still EXTREMELY unhappy with the service received. I have been going back and forth sending pictures of our damage, wrong mattress and warranties and have yet to get a resolve. While going back and forth with the company I was sent a cancellation form to fill out for the warranties. When I received this I noticed the information wasn't even on my camper...wrong make, model and vin. I immediately called and said it was the wrong information and was told by a manager to just sign it and they'll "one line it", because they can't change that information. I wasn't happy with signing anything that didn't pertain to my camper, so I emailed back and said I was not signing anything that wasn't mine. In the mean time I called the warranty company, and sure enough, the information they had for us was on the incorrect camper. I finally spoke with the manager on 10/5 regarding the work that needed to be done on my camper and getting the correct mattress, she said she would be in touch the next day as she would have to do some calling around. It is now 10/10 and I am still waiting to hear back from the manager regarding my camper getting fixed and the mattress be replaced. I am appalled at the lack of communication from this place. Another thing I should mention, when speaking with the manager regarding buying campers from them, I asked do they usually sell the camper that a person looks at, and she told me yes. That is when I said then we either got one that we didn't look at, or someone purposefully changed out the mattress that caused damage to our brand new camper...why would that happen? I was informed that she has no idea when, who, or why the mattress was changed out, but it was. She then went on to ask that I did understand that it was an upgraded mattress that we got. Um...I don't care...it's not the one we bought and paid for and to the specs of the camper we bought...now the feature on the bed that we liked does not work. The fact that we were either given a different camper we looked at or someone changed out items is disgraceful. The sales guy even told my husband that he thought it was odd the bed was broken, because someone was working on it...again, that was never disclosed to us. Be careful buying a Rv from them just purchased this week. I thought I was purchasing the lot model that was upscale and I ended up with the same model but without all the bells and whistle. A true bait and switch without telling me. The real bad part was I signed up for a certain amount and the finance portion was 12,000.00 more than it was suppose to be. No help just lie after lie if they can say it to get out of fault they will.Make it right.Ruined 2 1000 dollar batteries now playing dumb like I've never brought it to their attention 100 times no documentation on their part so now they just use that to their advantage that it never happened. It's like they know people won't sue them so they don't have to be accountable. Their excuse is we didn't know it was lithium batteries so we are not liable for maintaining them in their possession. Would have a 10 year warranty on the batteries but them turning off my disconnect switch too long put my batteries in low voltage state and you have 24 hours to bring the voltage back up or voids warranty. Now they don't wanna fix them says they're not liable for stuff happening while sitting at their location. Tell me how I'm supposed to maintain batteries that are locked up in a lay down yard with tall fences and barbed wire, Don't worry I'll wait! UPDATE: First off to those who are buying motorhomes and not getting what they thought or it was damaged ones, that has been going on since 2017. I paid cash approx$90,000 and had those same issues. All I got was a bunch excuses until I finally gave up. This time I do plan on legal action however. UPDATE 2: I picked up my motorhome which was mis diagnosed and not fixed even though I had to pay almost $1500 dollar. They even added approx $175 called it a shop supplies. There would have been no supplies after the carburetor they put on that it didn't need apparently. Then when I got in and was driving home a saw there was a check engine light on. It has never had a cel and never had a running problem. As a friend said I guess I pissed off enough of them they decided to have revenge or thought I would be stupid to let them ever work on any of my vehicles again. I have talked to my attorney and waiting on his decision as to our steps. I took my motor home to campers world. The generator was not starting. The service writer said it was the carburetor which I questioned and that they had to replace it because they couldn't rebuild the carburetor because the rebuild kits didn't come with gaskets. I found out after the fact they do. I paid over $700.00 dollars for them to order a carburetor and was going to have to pay around $700.00 to install it. I questioned them again but wanting the motor home fixed agreed. Today I get a call saying they had replaced the carburetor but that wasn't the problem their professional tech would have to take it apart and fix a governor spring on the carburetor which would cost me another $500.00 +. The carburetor had ran fine when being sprayed the starter fluid. It ran fine not pulsing from a governor not functioning properly. Bottom line they want to jack me out of over $2000.00 to fix the carburetor which they said was wrong with it now saying they had to fix that to find out the problem. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH CAMPERS WORLD ON 23rd st. They will try to play you as an idiot and will definitely rip you off any way they can. read more

Bought a Jayco bungalow from these people in September 2023 sight unseen. When delivered there was obvious water damage on the island sink. I searched underneath the sink and found no leaks anywhere. well soon after having the unit we have a heavy rain, and water is coming in through the window at the dinite. It doesn't take Sherlock holmes to realize that the water damage on the island sink came from the window while the slidout was in. what makes the whole situation a terrible experience is that there is no way that camping world didn't see this damage before delivering it to me and now that I'm trying to make a claim they will not fix their mistake. read more

My wife and I started camping shortly after COVID hit. We started with a small camper and absolutely loved it! In June 2022 we upgraded to a new Heartland Mallard M33 - at 37' long it took some practice to get used to pulling that thing all over the Southeast! We absolutely loved it - the kids have a separate bunkroom in the back, we have our own bedroom, the kitchen even has an island! We took it for a our first trip shortly after purchase and had a few issues - the water heater was still on bypass so we had cold showers the first night; the kitchen sink leaked because the drain wasn't connected correctly; the sink in the outdoor kitchen leaked because it wasn't corrected at all. While these issues were frustrating on a brand-new unit, they were all easy fixes that I took care of myself. Fast forward 2 months to August 13, 2022. I went into the camper to find WATER EVERYWHERE! The main slide in the kitchen/living/dining area was leaking and caused water damage throughout that area. I called Camping World of Panama City and was told the first available appointment was August 17; I took it in that morning. I asked if we should do a walkthrough, but the tech indicated they will identify all of the damage and make it right, like brand new. We picked the camper up after they did their evaluation because they were ordering parts and I was told it would take some time to get those in. This was early September - so a few weeks in the shop for them to evaluate the damage. Our still brand new camper was returned on October 10, 2022 to complete the repairs after being told September 29 that all of the parts were in. I was told that the repairs would take two days, and that it would be ready quickly since all of the parts were in. At this point, we were in no rush to get the camper in for service as it was still usable. It was made clear at dropoff that we wanted to keep the unit until everything was in and the work could be done and it would be ready quickly. We use the camper nearly every weekend during the winter. The unit wasn't ready until October 24; when it was "ready" they advised that the table came in damaged and would have to be re-ordered. Rookie mistake on my part, we picked the camper up after it was ready and didn't walk through. The camper was parked out front and ready to go, and I was late getting there as I was driving over after work. I didn't go through the camper until November 1. When we opened it up, we were shocked to find that NOTHING had been done. All of the water damage was still there. The table damage was expected but the ceiling was drooping down, the countertops still damaged, cabinetry still damaged and the walls still buckled. I contacted Camping World in dismay - I've driven round trip four times at this point, and nothing has been done. I reached out to the service department, "Marcus VIP", and the general manager on November 1 and sent photos of all of the damage that wasn't repaired. I received no contact the next day; no contact from the service manager until November 7. I still haven't heard from the General Manager nor have I received calls back when I've left messages for him. I sent photos of the damage to the service manager to avoid another 4 hour round trip to drop the camper off, per her request. I sent additional photos a few days later as requested. She was going to order the parts and have them in so that the camper wouldn't be sitting there while waiting for repair. We took the camper to Chattanooga for Thanksgiving. The water damage was there, but the camper was usable. While we were on this trip, we noticed that the unrepaired slide was drooping away from the camper significantly. We also had new issues - the water heater was leaking and the leveling jacks stopped working. We contacted Camping World while on vacation and let them know we were no longer comfortable using the camper with the slide leaning away from the camper. We took the unit in on December 5, 2022 for repairs. I've followed up repeatedly since then. We were told the camper was ready last Friday, January 27; Katie and I drove over to pick it up to find that our 6 year old daughter could have completed the repairs more professionally than they had done. Additionally, much of the water damage still wasn't even touched. As of today, Camping World indicates that they have ordered additional parts for the repairs; some will be in "within 10 days." The countertop doesn't have an arrival date. The "Marcus VIP" team indicates that we didn't make them aware of some of the issues (water damaged countertop) in August, so that isn't their problem. We spent a few minutes looking around, and found it without their help. Then when checking out, another person came up and took the person BEHIND us, and when we moved over, didn't want to check us out. We won't be back We were notified on here that they want to contact us. I emailed, and conversed back and forth. They need training, and NICE PEOPLE. I did discover that it was probably because of the presidential candidate's hat my husband was wearing, due to others who had been in the store after we left, and told us of the conversation disparaging us and the hat. I didn't purchase my fifth wheel here because of a previous bad experience with this location. I did however call and inquire about an expensive hitch and they promptly returned my call.... FOUR WEEKS LATER! After I had purchased my new fifth wheel camper AND the hitch from their direct competitor a few miles away. It's actually laughable this location is even still in business. I got information off the Winnebago site this was the closest dealer to me in Destin. So I tried to order some slide-out seal (just the part) for my Outlook from their parts department. After a couple of weeks of them insisting I had to order it through their service department, I caved, and ordered 34 feet of seal for $4.20/ft. plus tax, and paid in advance. They insisted they could not have it shipped to me; I would have to pay for shipping to them and pick it up in person, or also pay for them to ship it to me. I opted to pick it up, so I could verify it was the right seal. When it came in, they informed me the price was $4.40/ft., and I needed to pay that difference (plus tax), the $71 charge for "Freight", and almost $10 for their "Environmental Fee," which they claimed was a Camping World requirement for any parts purchased from their Service Department (regardless, apparently, whether it had any relation to environmental disposal or not). I understand enviro fees for tires and oil changes, but for a parts order that they are simply handing off? Naturally, I pitched a fit. Finally, they reduced the $70 "freight charge" to $40 and waived the "Environmental Fee." When I picked up my "freighted" box, I noticed that it was shipped to them via UPS Ground. The box was 19"x19"x10" and weighed 4.5 pounds. You can figure out what their cost probably was. They also cautioned me that the "Environmental Fee" would apply to any future orders. Strangely and out of the blue, James Abercrombie from the Panama City, FL location called my husband this past Wednesday pushing to get us in our dream camper. I was at work while these conversations were going on. To make a long story short, James ran my credit without speaking to me. I did NOT give him permission to do so. I had issues with this location over the last few yrs.I swore I would never buy from them again. We purchased our first camper from them in 2017. It was great but we out grew it and needed to upgrade. Found a really nice used unit they had that fit out needs and decided to go with it. Had some minor issues before leaving with no lights. Both techs stayed late past closing time to get us fixed so we could get home. That meant a lot to me that they did that being we had to travel 140 miles home and had to have lights. Next day upon getting home I did a more thorough inspection and found 2 other small issues. One I fixed myself the other I had to have a tech come fix it. I was ok sort but not real happy because the the light issue and these problems should have been found upon inspection at there location before letting someone buy it. After multiple attempts to reach my sales rep at that location I had to contact corporate. They got int touch with the GM at this location. I got a call in less than 24hours. Brian was very helpful and understanding. W/O hesitation he reimbursed me for the minor repairs. I am very pleased with the outcome and his service. As for my sales guy Kevin Bradley I'm not so pleased. He even gave me a 50.00 gift card to leave him a positive review. Won't fall for that again. HORRIBLE! DO NOT PURCHASE A RV FROM THIS PLACE. We drove 3 hours to purchase an RV from them in April 2021. Loved it. It has some minor issues that they said they'd fix if we could come back the following weekend to pick up. We agreed to. Came back the following weekend - nothing had been done, fireplace, lights, even the AC was having issues. The salesman Kevin was only concerned with getting us to sign the papers. I refused until they fixed the AC on spot. The other things they wrote up a WE OWE YOU, to send the parts to us. That was in April, this is September and we still DO NOT HAVE the parts. We have no option but to go to corporate now to try to get what we've paid for. We bought a $50,000 RV that we absolutely love, but I want them to do what they said they'd do. When purchasing a RV the first week of July we were made promises including the solar setup on our new RV could run the air conditioner off the batteries. Our sales associate Tyler and sales manager Brian confirmed this with their Keystone Representative including videos showing what would be needed to upgrade the pre-wired system. During the time in the shop I was told many different variations of what was going on causing the delay. Including a conversation with both the Sales Manager Dave and the General Manager Brian, always a different excuse it was not done. On September 16th I was told face to face by the Service Manager Denise that the part was on order and 2 weeks out, that they had made another one work and would be a 45 min install when the part arrived. I had elected to take the camper home to use on an upcoming trip while the parts were on order as it had been in the shop since July 26th. It is now November 7th last week I was first informed by the service writer Johnny that the camper was not upgradable. I reached out to the general manager Brian who informed me the solar system in my RV was not compatible with the upgrade and that was because my RV had a Solar Flex 200i. This information was incorrect as it has the 400i. I have sent pictures showing that it does have the upgradable system and even where the manufacturer shows it's upgradable on their website. Brian also said he would send a invoice of what it would cost to upgrade. Keep in mind the only reason I bought this exact model is that I was guaranteed that it would power the air conditioner off the batteries. We recently went to Camping World to find a camper to purchased and have been very pleased with our experience. We chose CW because we felt like we needed to us local businesses after hurricane Michael to help our community rebuild. Our salesperson was Bridgette , and she was wonderful and very helpful. She went out of her way to help along with other employee at Camping World. While there, we were introduced to Mr. Brain Voigts, who chose to come here with his family after Michael to help our community. I wonder how many others could say the same thing? We love our camper and Camping World. I encourage you, if you have tried Camping World before the storm and weren't happy, please go back and try again.. Stay away!!!!! We were greeted immediately by a new salesman. He was friendly and showed us what we described we wanted. The problem began when we asked for the rock bottom price. Poor salesman came back with the most ridiculous piece of paper with a price quote so high it was stupid. When we told him that that was a higher price than it was listed for and that we requested his lowest price. He said this was their process and asked how much would we be able to pay. Keep in mind that we had visited other RV dealerships before this point. We took the quote and asked if we could call them back with a price we thought would be fair. Immediately another guy approaches us and asks for the quote back that it was illegal to take it because there was information we couldn't have but we could take a picture. It was highway robbery!
