They have concerts,fairs,rodeos and of course race week which is awesome but then they will put a 10 o'clock curfew and not allow anyone to go apast that that's full time stay. They will also let youre parking spot go to some of the attraction parking and they will have no curfew nor guidelines that the campground residents have. They all seem nice and respectful until they see the larger dollar that can be made off of an attraction! The owner and wife are scams that doesnt have a problem being super nice to youre face and then try to kick you out to make room for their events.

A little advice; make sure you spray the cabin down really really well cause we brought back bed bugs and had to throw things away to get rid of them. That was a first experiencing bed bugs. Our homebase closed temporarily and they worked with us to extend our stay until our place reopened. The sites are mostly wooded, with additional open air sites. They have drive thru sites too. The sites are a good size and very well maintained from the site itself to the hookups. They have walking trails, a playground and a pool. You will also have a laundry facility (very clean!!!) and a bath house (those are very clean as well). It also looks like they are expanding - adding more open sites and another bath house/laundry facility. It's so peaceful here! Parents can feel safe letting the kids ride/walk around. There are signs stating that children have the right of way.

Full hookups so you're not roughing it here, they also have a swimming pool for the warmer months. Pros: roomy spots, so you're not right next to strangers. They definitely keep the area clean, everyone has their own rubbish receptacle, very quiet, well designed, beautiful scenery in the woods and the layout is country cute! Cons: water pressure is a little low, and the laundrette is a little rough, the machines are dirty and overpriced ($1.75 for wash, but $3.50 to dry) with 2 out of order. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Beautiful lake, nice boat ramp and a small beach area. Bath houses are old need to be upgraded but had good hot water. Most of the camping sites are permanent sites. Only ten sites that rent. Any site you that you may rent are all great. Graveled full hook ups and picnic table. A nice tree at every site so you do have some shade. Not far to bathhouses. Will be going back there for a weekend.

The staff is just like a helicopter parent, and they are extreme rule followers to a fault. Definitely the preferred experience is "Hey you've stayed here before, your site number is X, have a good day!!" But instead it's about a 20 minute check in every time and they really go through all of the rules every time. It's just a long and annoying process when you already know the ropes. It feels similar to a conversation with a police officer too, in the sense that you feel like they are looking for evidence to build some kind of case on you with everything you verbalize. There are two people on golf carts that pretty constantly patrol and drive past your site slowly inspecting your stuff. I very much feel like I'm in a fish bowl every time I stay here. It is not very private haha. But it does have a dump station, water fill up, power to charge my batteries, showers, and laundry. Everything necessary for a van life refresh day before heading off grid again. It's just very annoying that it comes at the cost of feeling like I'm on an overnight elementary school trip with chaperones dictating my every move.

Most of the staff lives onsite, and we got to know lots of other long term campers. It was like living in a very tiny town where you know the names of all the regulars. Pros - Laundry room is very clean and well kept. Both bathhouses have been upgraded and have great water pressure in the showers. Lots of lighting and a long mirror across an entire wall made getting ready in the morning very easy. They have a pool and a putt putt course. Publix grocery store is right there, super convenient for grocery shopping or anything you may have forgotten. Staff is very friendly. Amazon locker at the gas station or having packages delivered to the campground office were great options. We enjoyed specials at the food truck that is in the outdoor seating part of the bar. In the growing season, it's also possible to purchase a box of veggies from the food truck owner if you ask. Cons - spots are small. Even in long term, spots are small and your neighbor's RV behind may literally be a foot or two from the back of your RV. There are not a lot of trees or green space on spots. There's a small dog park, and a little green space alongside the entrance road, but that's it. They say they do not take one night reservations, but there always seemed to be a handful of campers that only stayed one night. Campers coming in late, leaving early, and it's close to a pretty busy road - pretty noisy. We heard from others that monthly is not a thing, but we were able to rent a monthly spot. It may depend on who you talk to in the office when you call. We had to take our bird feeder down, because there is a pretty serious squirrel issue and they chew through wires.

They charge a deposit for the long time stays. At the end, I was told that it would be applied toward my electric bill. I was there 1 month and I ran air conditioning 3 or 4 nights. There is no way, I ran up a $250 electric bill. I called the office for receipts and never received them. I had to dispute this amount with my credit card company to get it refunded.

We were told a new front area playground was going to be put up at the end of "peak season" of 2022, but that still hasn't happened yet, nor has it even begun. The kids have a blast here. We finally got permanent lots, although more secluded and shaded than the last, the "driveways" were filled with gravel so the campers and vehicles were sliding. The spot next to us isn't able to be used due to that reason, we are also unable to get our camper level for some reason. I now have a spot to garden with my daughter. The kids and dogs have a safe spot to play. Our neighbors are respectful and quiet. There are tons of common areas. We haven't been to all of them so I may not be listing them all. 1 main office (vending machines/mail room/rv supplies/firewood/hang out room/outside vending machine/propane) 1 mini golf course 1 playhouse/arcade (which I believe is just pool and a dance floor with a quarter machine) 2 playgrounds 2 bath houses 2 laundry rooms 1 saltwater pool 1 pool house and bathroom 1 maintenance shed 1 pond 1 tennis court 1 basketball court You can have a golf cart but please respect the rules. There are young children who play outside as well as dogs (who need to be leashed at all times) It is 20 mins from Walmart in Denver. 5 mins from Food Lion, CVS, Walgreens, a few decent fast food places, and a great Mexican restaurant. Traffic to Mooresville from here is terrible!
