We prefer the river sites personally for the views & fishing. The campground owners are fantastic people who've become friends. They live on site and take great pride in the property. The property is always impeccable. They are always working. Such a gorgeous place!! The pond is in the center of the property - yes you can fish (catch & release). Areas setup with hammocks, corn hole, seating, etc. The new playground has been a big hit! Oh, and there's also a dog park area. The bathhouses are super clean and have air conditioning. The laundry room is brand new with great units and also A/C. They incorporated additional activities this year over at the pavilion which our family has loved! Bingo, tie-dye t-shirts, food trucks, live music, and more! Our grandson loves to join us. Lots of kids and a great area for them to all play. Tubing the river is always a fun treat! You can bring your own tubes or rent from the campground. The camp store has expanded and features a great mix of items - t-shirts, hats, hoodies, koozies, and more. As well as local jams, rubs, and other treats. They're in the process of building a new office/camp store so we're excited to see this complete. We have a 40' fifth wheel. No problems every getting in. They accommodate all size rigs. All sites have a concrete pad, fire pit and very nice large picnic table. Sites are spacious and do not feel cramped like we've experienced at other campgrounds. Wi-Fi is generally pretty good. We've been able to work remote on some of our trips. We even had phone service our last trip (AT&T)! Lots to do in the area! Hiking, Linville Winery (yum!), Linville Caverns, Grandfather Mtn and so many other great places. The office staff can certainly provide plenty of recommendations, too. There are 2 grocery stores in town about 15min away. There's also a local dollar store about 5min away. We cannot say enough good things about MRFC. We've met some great campers there who we now call friends. We truly love this place and already have bookings for next year!

There isn't an official ballfield here but the open space would work for an informal game. There is plenty of parking and they have a permanent structure with restrooms. Enter River Pointe RV Park & Campground - A brand new midsize RV park currently boasting 55 level, roomy lots, designed by dedicated owners who are devoted to this gem of a park; The park is easy to get to in a scenic area near historic Morganton. The owners are very accommodating and I just can't say enough about what wonderful people they are. They've created a very nice, quiet park surrounded by untouched forest on 3 sides, above a scenic river. A laundry/bathhouse is at one end and it's almost up and running...with more conveniences on the way! Getting inspections, permits and construction completed to open this new park wasn't easy in the midst of the pandemic, but they were committed to their dream; After many frustrating delays, the full hookup campground is now a reality for us all to enjoy. Average price is only $45 a night and certainly well worth it. It is located about 5 miles from Elkin and right in the middle of winery country. Owners are very friendly and we will be back here for many stays..

They charge a deposit for the long time stays. At the end, I was told that it would be applied toward my electric bill. I was there 1 month and I ran air conditioning 3 or 4 nights. There is no way, I ran up a $250 electric bill. I called the office for receipts and never received them. I had to dispute this amount with my credit card company to get it refunded.

We brought our two senior Shibas, who aren't really into dog parks or other dogs, and they were able to have the entire parks to themselves for at least an hour each day we went. They had so much fun, and being able to pick up some dog treats on the way home from our park adventure was a nice touch. The staff here do an amazing job keeping the campgrounds clean, maintained, and filled with fun activities for dogs and people. Having a fenced in site was great, and our dogs felt right at home. The RV is stocked with almost everything you'll need for a few days, just bring food, towels and personal hygiene stuff and you're set. There's also washers/dryers/general store if you forget anything. Overall we had such a fun time just hanging out, spending quality time with our dogs. There were a ton of social events going on - bonfires, happy hr, etc but we're antisocial so we watched from afar. Looked fun though! We will definitely be back next summer! *My only suggestion would be to include an EV charging station, we were able to trickle charge our vehicle with no issues but having a paid EV charging site/parking spot would be an awesome addition to help generate revenue and attract more road trippers and you can charge while you're at the dog parks. I understand it's mostly a RV destination, but being able to charge our vehicle while we rented the RV was really convenient especially because the nearest supercharger is 45 min away.

We were in one of the fully-fenced in camp sites, which was wonderful for our Chuckie who is too "busy" to be confined to a tether! 15 minute drive to the grocery store and about 20 minutes to a wonderful local winery, Mountain Brook Vineyards which was dog-friendly as well! We'll definitely be traveling back to Four Paws next year!

We were told we could stay but we'd have to move around for who knows how many time. Who wants to do that??? We were told they have to take care of their full timers. What was I??? Last I checked I was a full time travel nurse who had already been there for 7 months. Then she went on to tell us that we could leave early but then didn't refund all of my deposit. Not staying here again or recommending it. She will jerk you around. We have not been the only ones.
