I asked to speak with them about the offer. I called continued to call numerous times and weeks went by and months. no return call. I left messages.we had decided to pull out camper and not do consignment. but when we had everything lined out to take, I got a call. it was sold. but nothing progressed and no call. so we lined up to get camper. then another call it had sold again. begrudgingly we took the offer. big loss on my dads camper for us. he hadn't driven but 200 miles on it and lived in it for 2 months. but this time Charlie called me and followed up every step of the way! she is great and very helpfu. so if you find yourself in a consignment , make sure you ask for her! I highly recommend Charlie for anything you need in Summer field Fl. as for the rest.... eh... I pray if they want to grow their business and keep customers that they treat Charlie right, as she is a bright spot in their sorely needed customer service!! read more

Our visit to Camping World in Summerfield Florida started off well. We were connected with the nicest salesman, a real gentleman named Deacon. We were and are extremely happy with him and should we go back there which is not likely at all, we would want him again as our salesman.. We picked out a used Jayco trailer and during our talk with the sales manager, he and we agreed to an OUT THE DOOR price of $17,500. We gave them a $3000 deposit and expected our new balance to be $14,500 when we returned to get our trailer in two more days. To our DISGUST when we returned to get our trailer we learned that we now owed roughly $17500 once again... this was after our $3000 deposit which meant that the out the door price went from $17,500 to $20,500.... We told the sales manager we just want our $3000 back and we don't want to buy the trailer but he wanted to talk it over and show us how much they have invested in the trailer and the reason why it would cost me substantially more money. He now said there was no way he could let us have the trailer for a TOTAL of $17,500 (as promised) but that he would generously split the $3000 difference with me which would make us pay an additional $1500 above the $17,500... of course my wife wanted the trailer so I agreed to pay the difference. As you can imagine, we left very upset with our trailer which we are happy with. We wanna mention once again Deacon was a very good salesman and a total gentleman just in case you still want to buy from this dealership. Also, they connected us with the Bank of Montreal (BMO) for our financing and they were a nightmare to work with - they were so bad we refinanced right away.... Obviously we don't recommend BMO either.... One final note, as part of their appreciation for buying the trailer they gave us 21 free nights at Ocean Canyon Resorts and after reading the horrible reviews on these resorts, we learned that people that stayed there frequently reported aggressive sales tactics, high upfront and maintenance costs, and facility maintenance issues.... Apparently they want you to buy a site there and their aim is to persuade you to do that. read more

I took my 2015 Jeep Wrangler, my flat toad vehicle to have the Demco Stay and Play Duo brake system installed. Camping World had the system on sale online a couple hundred dollars less than many smaller RV companies, which they honored in store. Their installation quote was comparable to others I received. Dillan service representative and Alberto the installation tech were very professional and completed the work on time as promise. After getting home I noticed the activation light wasn't working and notified Dillan and he scheduled me an appointment and Alberto discovered a small rely needed to be replaced. I had to wait only about 45 minutes for the repair and there was no charge for them to replace the non operational part. In conclusion I am very happy with the new brake system and service completed on my Vehicle. read more

Went to this dealership because they had the used RV we were looking for. Everyone is great pre-sale. They do charge $399 for the walk-thru which most other dealerships offer at no charge. We were promised the broken shade in the bedroom would be replaced. They would order it and send it to our home. It wasn't ordered and all followup attempts have been futile, including 3 phone calls to speak with the General Manager Sean Collins. He is either in a meeting or unavailable and has not returned my calls. It is just a shade replacement, but their lack of fulfilling their promise on such a small item speaks volumes about their lack of integrity and attempts to maintain customer relationships. Unfortunately, our experience with camping world ended up being a very bad one. We live out of state so we had to come back to pick up the RV. They were supposed to have it detailed and ready for ua. My husband called numerous times trying to speak to someone to remind them about our upcoming appointment. He could not get anybody to call him back. Finally, he confirmed his appointment, but when we showed up, nothing was done. In addition, there were numerous problems with the RV that they agreed to, have our local camping world fix. Overall a good experience. When we walked in Josh O'Donnell greeted us and was very helpful I usually don't get along with sales people because they're really annoying or pushy but he wasn't. He helped me find exactly what I was looking for and in my process range. He got me through the whole process quickly and was very friendly and down to earth. I know I'm hard to work with because I always have to test everything before I buy something so I had him plug in the air conditioner to make sure the unit would stay cool then came back the next day to make sure everything was good. Came back and the unit was nice and cool and had been detailed and a full propane tank and battery were already installed. He helped me hook up the trailer to make truck and during that process the trailer jack wasn't working properly so he got a new shiny one put on the trailer and everything else went perfect. Bought a recreational vehicle new less than 3 weeks ago. There are so many problems or defective parts that we had to go back. The customer service there is horrible. Except for the cashiers and the receptionist, everyone else is arrogant and demeaning. Especially the general manager. We had parts in our vehicle that we can't use so of course we assume they were given to us in error. Although they were not the ones needed for our vehicle they wouldn't replace them. Said they didn't have to. When we talked to the general manager and we said what do we do with them he said throw it away. So we put it on the counter and asked him to throw it. He said and I quote "Get your trash off my counter." He called the stuff he gave us "trash". Really!!! Then he told us to leave the store. I said interesting how they could take our money and treat us like this. He said you are trespassing, get out and picked up his phone to call police. So of course I was not happy. He said I yelled. Maybe I was loud but not yelling. He was arrogant and demeaning the whole time we tried to talk to him. Nothing is his problem. It all Mitsubishi' problems he said yet Camping world gladly took our money. I wish I had read the reviews on this place before we bought. They don't care about their customers after they get their money. I really couldn't possibly go into everything that happened from time of sale til now. But it was not a good experience. Bought RV from a pushy sales person who did not want to show us used RV,s. We ended up buying a new one they just got in. Went through all the processes to finance it that took about 6 hours. Finished up asked if we could pick it up next day because it was around 7 P.M. they informed us we had to take it then and there was a place down the road that we could pay to park it. When we finally get to our destination and set everything up, is where this go WRONG! The inside was not cleaned. The handle that opens the blinds were not attached, the vent in bedroom fell off, the bathroom shower leaked because it was never caulked, fridge seal fell off, rear window leaked when it rained because it was not sealed properly, cover came off the hookup box, hot water leaks, opened awning for the first time and holes were in it, power cord shorted out and burnt, seats started to peel apart because of cheap material, cannot use 2 different things at once because it trips the breaker. Propane tanks was on recall and was told to bring it back and it would take about a week to fix. Called and called about all of these items but was told that these were our problem. No one else would come work on these because it was under warranty and they did want to void the warranty. NOW WHAT! YOU CAN KEEP IT! Tired of calling with no gratification of getting these fixed. They asked for a $500 deposit to mark the vehicle "SOLD", sent me the figures and was told it would not be ready to be picked up on Monday possibly later this week due to the repairs they needed to complete. Yesterday 9/27/24 one of your finance managers of location either Rose burgo or Quincy Lindsey hard ran my credit which is excellent but dropped tremendously after running my SS. Today at 3pm salesman bobby texted and called saying the manager and service manager stated they weren't doing any repairs to coach, I asked for my $500 deposit back he stated they never ran it... So, in essence they took my credit card number but never took a deposit but still ran my credit report. Conveniently the coach is no longer available on their website, leading me to believe that the salesman or dealership was offered more for this coach , I was informed it had been marked down twice already from 64K by the salesman. Must read negative Camping World review My husband and I drove 3 hours to Camping World in Summerfield, FL to look at a used RV that we had been wanting to buy. Everything was going well and we spent 5 hours to complete the buying process. Then things went downhill from then on. At first, we weren't going to buy the RV that day but our sales person practically begged us to buy that day because it was the end of the month and their numbers were low. Our mistake #1, we signed the contract that day not knowing that as soon as we signed, everything that Camping World promised us to be done with the RV went out the window. Mistake #2 was trusting them that they would finish fixing the RV. The service rep who did the walk through with us seemed very thorough. The step needed to be fixed, they needed to order us a new bed, they needed to check the house battery and engine battery and we noticed the GPS didn't work. So, we left the RV at Camping World for 1 week to fix what was on their list. When we got there to pick it up, we mentioned that the step wasn't fixed. Our nice salesperson suddenly wasn't too attentive to our needs anymore. He gave us the keys and said "Go talk to service and have a good trip home." Mistake #3 was trusting Camping World that they did a thorough check on the RV engine. We got the RV home and it sat in our yard for 1 week and we notice the "Service B is overdue by 13 days" message and the "DEF is low" signals on. So now, we are wondering if they even did a maintenance on the RV when they took it in. Our assumption with every dealer is that they fix the vehicle and do maintenance before they sell to new buyers. Every other dealer that we have bought from has done this basic maintenance. The next day, I did a survey and sent a letter to Camping World. Someone from corporate called my husband to organize her notes to compile everything that was in my letter and my husband's letter. She told us that someone would get back to us in several days. Today is 1 month since they received my letter and no one has bothered to follow-up and make things right. All we asked for was for them to do what they should have done in the 1st place like the maintenance and working parts. On our 1st camping trip as we were ready to go, we ended up having to jump start the engine battery before we left home. I recommend to stay the heck away from Camping World. My husband and I purchased a brand new 2021 Ozark Travel Trailer in October 2021. We had an very nice salesman name Quincy. We fell in love with our purchase. In June 2022 we had an accident so our insurance company said to take it back to the dealership and they will write the check. Leaving us with our deductible of $500. The shower pan has developed four different cracks since purchase. This was our second time getting the camper. Serviced after purchase. The first time was also a disaster. Was there over a month and treated our camper like trash. I got a return call back after calling corporate because I was told there was not a manager on duty to speak to. Corporate told me there should always be a manager on duty. If for some reason the manager has stepped out, I feel the service girl should've said there's no one here right now, but I will be happy to have them contact you to explain this further. This never happened , yes no yup. Nope answers is what I got from the lady on the phone. Never explained our warranty just said it was denied. After calling corporate service manager, Rob called and he started out with an attitude when I told him his service sucked. He told me I was getting irate. He then told me I needed to pick up my camper tomorrow. Tomorrow would've been a total of 48 hours since the initial call at 4 PM. Big sign in the service area tells you you have 72 hours to pick it up or you will be charged Storage fee. It was apparent that Rob was not happy that I called corporate. When I told him he had a one or two star rating. He told me that wasn't true. As you can see on Yelp, the rating is 1.8 I called corporate back and was told the general manager would call me. I waited all day. No return phone call. I just told my husband to go pick up the camper and be done with it, if there's 72 hours to pick up once the service has been completed then it's 72 hours you don't make up rules because you're angry because I called corporate and tell me to pick it up the next day or they're going to charge me storage fees. . Very unsure why this location has bad reviews.. I've shopped here a few times, very nice employees, great customer service. The reason I wrote this review is because I had called and asked about a generator grounding plug a few days ago. The plug is supposed to bond your generator's electrical system and make it so you don't have to drive a copper rod into the ground. I had called this location a few days ago and asked them about this part. They said they don't have it, but they could order it for me. I was going to go with amazon, but this location just called me back and informed me that the plug I was going to buy wouldn't work with my specific generator. So awesome! Called me back, not expecting a sale, not trying to push another product, but just to inform me about a question I had. Very nice and unexpected. Most business won't do that. read more

We then were considering trading in and upgrading to a bigger rv, which means more money and sales for camping world and the salesman couldn't be bothered to return any of our 3 phone calls and messages. I guess he would rather sit behind his desk and day dream of fishing. Even though this place is terribly over priced we still face them business because we live across the street from them. I left a Google review explaining my problem with them and all i got was a canned response in how they are always looking for feedback to improve customer service. We recently purchased a used Class "C" motorhome from Camping World, Ocala, FL. A week or so after delivery, we returned the unit to the Service Department for several issues: Install additional satellite receiver, check water leak from fresh water tank, check loose hose and wire from under dinette slide, and check roof for condition, replace coach radio. When they finished, they said the satellite couldn't be checked until we added it to our DISH subscription. They said they obtained a signal...they couldn't have, because when it came back...there was no signal and the front receiver was no longer working. The dish was working before we took it out and upon return, it needs replaced. The water leak was from the low point drain that wasn't closed after the unit was prepared for sale. We were charged $136, including $58 in shop parts, to close the drain valve. That should have been closed following the preparation. We were told they did a "22" point roof inspection before it was put up for sale and at our request they did it again and advised that the roof was fine. Following this incident we had an independent technician check it and found numerous cracks and missing vents. The repair will now cost us more that $800. Again...that should have been done before the unit was sold. We asked them to check a loose cable/hose underneath the dining room slide. They advised they secured it and charged $44...the cable/hose is still loose. Camping World advised they would refund the $136.30 for the drain valve issue, but said that we would need to return the coach for the other repairs. We advised that we no longer have any trust for their service department and won't be dealing with them further. We would advise anyone to be wary of Camping World's Service Department. We don't know what their issue is, but they've demonstrated to us that they are untrustworthy in both making any repairs or in their billing for shoddy work...if it was done at all. We are VERY disappointed in Camping World's Service and will not be returning. read more

We researched RVs online and visited several dealers to view firsthand. We ended up selecting a Thor motor home and found that CW of Ocala had one in stock. We made the deal in spite of an additional $2,000 and an appt to pick the RV up several days later. We were happy with Joe, who showed us around our new RV. I have several questions about our RV (our first). Our salesman has answered a couple of emails with questions but then stopped. I've been waiting several days for the last one and sent a follow up yesterday. Maybe he's on vacation? Maybe there's a better person to send questions? We drove 25 miles round trip from the interstate to visit this location, only to find that there was no parking for us as we were pulling a camping trailer. Called to see if the store could suggest a place to park and they were neither helpful nor apologetic. One would assume that a camping store would have a camper friendly parking lot. read more

I purchased a new TT February 2018. Several months later the AC unit was blowing hot air. The Service Desk person said..... You know, it's very hot and it take time to cool down. Turns out the AC unit was out of freon. They replaced the AC unit. Several months later again hot air (no freon). I took my TT in January 7, 2019 and was told it would be a few weeks. I received a call January 31 and was told the new AC was in and it would be installed February 1st or February 4th. I finally went to the dealership on February 8th and asked what the heck was going on. Oh..... we'll work on it right after lunch. I get a call from the service department was asked if I broke the tongue jack? No, there was nothing wrong with it Well it's broken and we are going to have to replace it. I waited and waited and finally we back over to the dealership at 5pm. I was told well there's a lot of work installing the tongue jack. I said 3 bolts. Oh, there's more to it than that. 6:30 after everyone left the service manger brought my TT around. Worst possible service. I guess warranty repairs get worked on last. I wonder how much longer my RV would collecting dust if I didn't go up there and raise hell. AND.... the service writer said.... Well you know, you didn't buy your unit here, you bought it at the Camping World in New Port Richey and they are the ones responsible. Total BS.
