I purchased a new TT February 2018. Several months later the AC unit was blowing hot air. The Service Desk person said..... You know, it's very hot and it take time to cool down. Turns out the AC unit was out of freon. They replaced the AC unit. Several months later again hot air (no freon). I took my TT in January 7, 2019 and was told it would be a few weeks. I received a call January 31 and was told the new AC was in and it would be installed February 1st or February 4th. I finally went to the dealership on February 8th and asked what the heck was going on. Oh..... we'll work on it right after lunch. I get a call from the service department was asked if I broke the tongue jack? No, there was nothing wrong with it Well it's broken and we are going to have to replace it. I waited and waited and finally we back over to the dealership at 5pm. I was told well there's a lot of work installing the tongue jack. I said 3 bolts. Oh, there's more to it than that. 6:30 after everyone left the service manger brought my TT around. Worst possible service. I guess warranty repairs get worked on last. I wonder how much longer my RV would collecting dust if I didn't go up there and raise hell. AND.... the service writer said.... Well you know, you didn't buy your unit here, you bought it at the Camping World in New Port Richey and they are the ones responsible. Total BS. Took our camper there to have it fixed after an accident, we were told that it would be a 75 hour job and that it was all covered by insurance. 4 months later it was still not done and they kept telling us that they got the wrong parts in. We needed the camper since it doubles as a guest room so I went to pick it up even though it was not done, only to find that there was an extra charge on top of the co-pay and they had caused more damage to the front of the camper while working on it. I later talked to the service guy that said the right part was in and that it would be a quick fix once I brought it in. We told him that he had a month to fix it before we needed it for our Christmas break but it was not done till the end of January. So all at all it took them 6 months to complete a 75 hour job. I really don't like this chain. They are overpriced, and lord help you if you're looking at buying an RV - they love high-pressure tactics. As a woman, they largely ignore me and start asking my husband questions. He tells them that he's not the one that drives it - I do. Then they start talking to me like I'm a 5 year old. Frankly, I know more about RV's than any of the salesmen do. I've owned 5 so far. Been there, done that....etc. Anyway, I stopped because I was looking for a small part- a Fridge/converter vent latch. There was no one on the floor to ask. I stood in line for nearly 30 minutes (with 6 guys behind the service desk) and finally gave up. 2 of them had their feet up on the desk looking at fishing magazines. I saw they did have a sale on toilet paper and windshield reflectors, so I bought those and told the cashier about the "lack of service department". She shrugged and said they were probably on their break. Really? There were 3 of us in line, 6 guys behind the counter and we weren't acknowledged in any way and we all stood there for 30 minutes --- never moved. I stopped down the street at a small RV service center and got the part I needed in less than 5 minutes. Absolutely the worst place ever. I actually give Walmart a higher rating. read more

Took our RV in that we've had less than a year for the fridge to be fixed.camping world opened the slide and the floor ripped. Looks like mold or something on the floor. They led me to believe they were going to fix this. They've had it over two weeks and would always have to remind them about the floor being ripped. Went in on Friday to see what is being done when Sandra got very snippy with me and stated " we are not fixing the floor." What in the world !? It happened in your possession! You've had it over two weeks , we have to go in and talk to you personally to even get the fridge done, now you're not fixing the floor? Seems upon further inspection we have a leak and it looks like it's been leaking for a very long time. The whole floor is ruined, they will patch it so we can go on our scheduled trip on our dime !? . But we have to go in a rig that has wet a floor and could cause us to be sick ! Do Not take your rig to camping world. The whole reason we bought a camper is my husband is sick and this was to go out and enjoy life. Now this ? Waited two days no one called, made a second call same deal. Today we went to Campers World and we were purchasing some items we needed. I couldn't locate one item I was looking for so I went over to the service and parts area to seek help. There wasn't anyone ahead of me but it still took some time to be recognized. So finally one of the service people said go on down to the parts department person. This is when everything started going south. The person couldn't find what I needed so he went to the back I thought to look up the part and come back. He did come back but instead of saying anything took the next person in line. I will no longer try and have dealings with Campers World. Good luck potential buyers with much help. read more

Buyer beware, standard procedure is a $2500 dealer fee. That's only the beginning, then they will magically "roll in" the extras and for a low monthly payment of "x" for the next ten years you can be paying for it. The additional warranty stuff for the unit we were looking at was over $4000. We did in fact purchase a trailer after we calmly explained that they were either going to redo the paperwork without all the extras (that we never requested or were spoken to about) or we were going to go away. Of the $6500 in extras (on a $15000 rig) we ended up paying a more reasonable $500 dealer fee and purchased the $1300 gap insurance. When the finance guy came in, he presented first a piece of paper showing all the wonderful extras that had been rolled into the financing (first we'd heard anything of it) and simply a monthly payment. He was also kind enough to hand me a pen. I had to ask where the contract and terms were and told him I wasn't going to sign anything until I had seen that. Here's the quick math. Internet price $15,800, I offered $14k they accepted and added a highly discounted dealer fee ($499) and after tax and tag the total came to $15,200, we put down 4K and should have been financing $11,200. The contract (that was reluctantly passed to me after having been shown the wonderful extras) was for around $16,600 and my wife and I were like "oh heck no dude" which was our way of showing our chagrin at the situation. He quickly disappeared and was replaced by the finance manager who explained how hard she had worked to get us this loan and that our credit was less than desirable and so that was why the payments were $297, to which my response was that I didn't care and to take all the bs off except the gap insurance. She stressed that if we didn't buy the warranty package that the bank may not approve the loan since it was a five year old unit. We held our ground and she said she would have to call the bank back...4 minutes later she returned and the extras had been magically rolled out of the financing bringing our payments down to $232 a difference of about 25% or $65 a month. Had we known going in, we would have never even looked at their lot, and knowing now how they operate, I will never return, nor would I recommend them to anyone who was not an enemy! read more

I have an ongoing issue so will withhold final judgement pending resolution. I took my trailer to CW last October to have the bulb seal replaced. I was called the next day to say it was ready to go and all was good. Wow, great service. I drove the trailer to the camp ground approximately 100 miles away. Upon walking around the unit I noticed about 12-18" of bulb seal hanging out the back of the slide out. I got a ladder and crawled up to where the seal was only to discovered one of their shop rags wedged between the body of the unit and slide out exterior wall. Along with the rag being there, I discovered that the bulb seal slid to the rear and all of the silicone sealant was curled up and wadded up above it. The service department assures me they will resolve the matter once brought back in. So I'll update once I get resolution. I'm not happy having to drive 200 miles because of their lousy workmanship read more

Let me tell you about a great experience my wife and I had as we bought our very first travel trailer from them and from the moment we walked in, we were treated with respect, HONESTY, and no pressure to buy! Our salesman Josh L. did a fantastic job of showing us what we were looking for! He did not try to up-sell us at all! his finance manager (Shane) got us a great deal through a finance company that they deal with and made us very happy. The General Manager Russell V. well this guy should be cloned because he gets it! The man went through our camper and found a couple of things that we missed. He had everything repaired or replaced at no cost to my wife or I! Then he even discounted our trailer a little more and made the deal sweeter! I can not say enough about the staff at Camping World in Summerfield as every single person was on point, and there for the customer. The tech Tony who gave us our walk thru and installed our hitch was so knowledgeable and beyond nice! The tech (Alberto) who did the repairs came by while we were doing our walk thru and explained everything he did! When does that ever happen? again he was really nice and professional! If you have had a bad experience here give them another shot as the General manager Russell V. has that place hopping for the customer! We arrived in FL the evening of 7/29. We have been experiencing several problems with our motor home. On 7/30 & 7/31 I called Camping World in Summerfield , FL. in an attempt to set up a date for our motor home to be worked on. Twice I talked with the receptionist and twice I got an answering machine telling me that Chris Slang is unable to get to the phone and it instructed me to leave my name and phone number and I'd receive a return call. Well two days have passed and no phone call. I know things are a little slower in the South but there is no excuse for this horrible customer service. So, I went in to get some black water tank digester. The product appeared to be on sale but when the cashier started to ring it up it came in at full price. We walked back to the product isle and I was instructed there are three prices for that product. The regular price, the club price, and the club sale price. Well, simply indicating it is a club sale is not sufficient. It should say member sale price. I thought the "club" was the store. If I purchased a club membership I could get the "club" sale price. Is there such a thing as a -0-? From the beginning in July when we purchased the Forest River (Georgetown 5) , we have yet to be able to take a trip in it other than use it to get from our vacation home to our residence in another state and back. That's almost 4 months! From the time we went to pick it up, to now, service has been the worst I have ever seen. When we went to pick the RV up several days after we made the purchase so that they could install a washer and dryer, and fix a few obvious small problems. They forgot to install the washer and dryer, and did not fix any of the small things. Finally got it several days later, and WD was installed but the other items had still not been touched. The very first time we drove it after purchase, the refrigerator made a buzzing noise at the door closure that was so irritating that you just couldn't use the refrigerator. Several other small things were irritating, but noting like a constant buzzing noise in the latch of the fridge. Guess what, it has now been in their shop over two weeks, and is still not ready, almost 4 month later. Still waiting for parts?? No one has called us, you have to call them and they are not all that nice. The electrical in one of the chairs did not work. One of the windows does not seal well. Latches need adjustment in several places. We have had to go to Forest River to see if parts have been ordered, shipped, get status, etc. Brand new RV (36' Class A) and have not been able to take a trip!! Can you believe it! Almost 4 months. Before you buy from them, remember this review and look at the other ones. It appears they are consistent. TERRIBLE. read more

Bought a satellite for my motorhome here. Dish said either the receiver or the satellite is bad. They said take them back and exchange them. I went into camping world and the clerk said I had to go back to service to have them checked out. The service man said I had to wait 40 minutes to have them looked at. I asked for a manager because I didn't have the time to wait. The manager said sorry you have to wait. I asked for a refund because I couldn't wait. They refused and took off with my equipment. don't typically give bad reviews because as a business owner myself, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but this place was so awful I feel guilty NOT giving them a negative review in case other people consider doing business with them. We took our travel trailer to them to check out some potential electric issues. They charged us $288 to tell us that everything checked out fine and we "may just have a bad cord." After waiting for 2 HOURS for someone to bring our camper around to us, they finally come in and explain the forklift driver ran it into another camper. Ok... accidents happen. Everyone was very apologetic and agreed to fix the scratches and replace the bent jack for free. During this waiting time my husband connects with the sales rep, Moe, who tells him they will give us $11,500 for our camper outright if we'd like to sell it to them. My husband and I debated this over 2 days while they fixed the camper and when we called him back to say move forward he simply said "we're not interested anymore." No other explanation. Ok.... so it gets worse. We go back to get the camper and while waiting for another hour my 7 year old son falls between a boat on display and the deck leading up to it in a gap far too wide for safety. Several staff members expressed great concern. Aside from a nasty scratch up his thigh, he was thankfully not severely injured. We made sure everyone knew they needed to fix the gap. They all agreed but during the rest of our time being there no one did... as several other kids walked around the store. They finally pulled our camper around after my husband expressed his frustrations with the general store manager, Carl. We finally had our camper, fixed and ready to hook up when we heard a hissing sound and smelled propane... the propane tanks were leaking!! When we went in to tell Carl they broke yet another thing he came out and proceeded to tell us the portion of the tanks leaking are "old and we should be thankful that he's not going to charge us to fix it since the labor is $125/hr and the part is a $125 part." Then to put the icing on the cake when my husband says the part wasn't broken when we dropped it off with them, the manager says to him "Well, if we went to court, we know who would win." We have remained calm, cordial and understanding through the entire interactions with Camping World. Never once threatening any sort of legal actions. Never in my life have I had a customer service representative threaten me with potential legal consequences especially without it even being a topic of conversation!! The senior sales consultant, Gabe Valenzuela, kindly assured us the general manager would make sure we would never have a bad experience at Camping World again. Considering he sealed the deal that we would never return again, I guess he was right. read more

This place is horrible. Did an online offer on a 2014 heartland sundance 288RLS and they said to come in. I knew looking at the photos it was in bad shape. I was wrong it was in horrible shape down to cat crap in the closet. So they don't even clean the campers when they take them in. When i told them my offer in person they said they wouldn't even consider the offer. With all the repairs needed to the unit it would be well over 10k. God only knows what they would even charge. But the main thing is that they wasted my time. I am a man of my word and still told them i would pay my offer online but they don't honor their's. A man is only as good as their word. So i will not purchase anything from this place for the rest of my life and will take friends elsewhere to keep them from being taken advantage of. read more

First let me say that I don't rate anyone a perfect 5. They didn't make it, and they didn't break it, as I say. We had our unit in more than five times for various items at this location. They would fix items that were obviously broken and as we requested, but if they couldn't duplicate a problem, then they left that item go unchanged. This is very frustrating, but I understand they can't fix what isn't broke. So, finally our unit duplicated our complaint while it was in their hands for repair and the faulty item was replaced. It took a lot of patience and a few not so pleasant conversations, but they are stand-up folks and did things right. I give them kudos, I recommend them and will go back. read more

A one star is still to good for this terrible place! BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! This was the worst dealership I have ever dealt with in my life. My elderly parents bought an RV from them and they scheduled an appointment, when my dad when to get it, it wasn't ready. 2 hours to get there only to wait 4 hours for it, strike 1. Strike 2, they put 6 new tires on it but did not replace the valve stems so the tires were leaking air... WHO DOES THAT? This could have been a HUGE issue for my elderly parents. Strike 3, the transmission is now blown on an RV that just purchased 3 weeks ago, we towed it to here because they didn't know they did not service them. Once the tow truck came back to get it to bring to a repair facility, he realized the brand new tires were flat, and he couldn't tow it. Darren admitted to me they didn't replace the valve stems and when I asked to speak with Rob the service manager, to now pay the bill for the tow that couldn't take place due to flat tires because they didn't do their job, I got a phone call from a woman, and she was not very nice. I still have not heard from Rob, and I have left several messages. My elderly parents are now having to pay an additional $250 for a tow truck to come out and get the RV and couldn't complete the job due to this places lack of doing their job. This is absolutely unacceptable. This could have caused an accident and really been a bad situation. It is obvious they do not care, they just want to make sales. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR WELL BEING!! Legal steps are being taken as we speak, since their blatant disregard for my parents lives and to make this right for them. Such a shame. On April 22 2019 I had a toilet installed in my MH, 6 &1/2 hrs laterI went home. I opened the lid& it wont stay up (Great) . I called & they would call me when they got one. I orderd a canopy April16,2019. Terry called me a week or so ago & said it was in. Fine!! I told him that I was still wating for news about my toilet & I want to have it installed the same day!! I was kind of shocked to come out and see some pretty awful reviews of this Camping World. After much shopping online, and wearing out our sales rep Phillip over the course of at least three weekends (and phone calls and emails...) looking at various models and floorplans, we bought a Thor Vegas that we couldn't be happier with. We are first-time RVers, and everyone was very patient and helpful. We weren't getting pushed in any particular direction, and followup on questions in between visits was timely. Answers to many of our questions included information that helped us better think about the various models/options available and to refine our choices on our own. On one visit Philip wasn't available so we worked with a different sales rep, Lenny, who was just as helpful, and they coordinated with each other on what was discussed. When we finally decided to purchase, the process (which we dreaded) was super smooth. We were offered a number of addons, like Good Sam (which we took advantage of) but we never felt pressured to do anything and the deal was very transparent. Delivery day coincided with my wife's birthday, something I had mentioned earlier in the sales process. When my wife stepped into the coach there was a large bouquet of flowers and Happy Birthday balloons. Our delivery walkthrough covered every item in the coach, and there was LOTS of explanation. Chris covered how to operate everything, including less used items like the system drains. We went through the coach electrical panel and how to check and replace fuses, and through the engine compartment to identify dipstick and fluid locations. He also talked us through dry camping and full-hookups operations. Again, we learned more new stuff. There were a couple of items that we found during the pre-delivery inspection that we did the day before and those were verified as fixed. We found another (minor) item that needs repair and Chris took photos and has sent them to Thor. Both Phillip and Chris suggested that we use the coach at home and "camp" for a few days, both to help decide what we will need to outfit the coach and to find any additional items that might need warranty attention. We have, and we have found a few minor items. Since they are minor we will keep using it a bit longer, then bring it back to have them corrected. That's a lot of words to say that we can't imagine how we might have had a better experience. I'm not saying that every single thing was perfect - it's a business after all and stuff happens. The day we decided to purchase was super busy, and one of the financial guys was out sick. It took longer than they expected with just one person handling everything and they must have apologized a dozen times. Stuff happens. Delivery day was the same, a bunch of deliveries all stacked up so there was a bit of a delay. That delay meant we went home a little later than planned, but there was no hurry when it came to going over the coach. So even when things went less than perfect, they handled it well. We bought stuff from the store there to outfit the RV and not only was everyone kind and helpful, they also made sure we had (and used) every possible coupon. LOL. Being first timers we are pleased to have gotten off to a good start. We look forward to working with this CW location in the future, and would recommend them highly. read more

Would not even give this one star! The service department is TERRIBLE to say the least. We purchased a camper in October of 2018 and we have used it once! It has now been in their shop for three months. Prior to that it was in there for a month because of warranty issues, that are still at this time not fixed. Anytime we call we are told the wrong part had been ordered or that someone will contact us in 24 hours. We are constantly getting a run around. We were thrilled with the excellent service Sandra Tusing provided us at Camping World of the Villages. She always returned calls and dealt with a not-so-responsive insurance company. I do not know the techs who performed repairs twice, but the workmanship is excellent. My husband stated it was 100% better than the original on our 2-year old Heartland Sundance. Thank you again Sandra and techs for your fantastic service. Of note, our original work was done on an urgent basis to get us back on the road the day we experienced a blow-out a few miles from home. read more

Camping world of Ocala located in summerfield fl has the worst service dept of any rv repair shop. they beleive all wrong things are because of a battery issue. left my rv for sevice on the slide said my battery was not charged BUT it was charged enough to operate one slide 6 times in and out. took it back after a $149.00 diagnostic charge to find a bad switch. took back water heater not operating again the battery again NOT the problem needed a new sail switch another $149.00 and 70.00 for the switch guess what????? the switch was bad and so I purchased another switch and put it in only cost $19.95 for the switch. Camping World is a rip off any way you look at it. VERY POOR * read more
