Ultimate shady business. Needed a new Propane Alarm for our RV, went to the camping world website. The website said the propane alarm was 44.29. Went to the store and it was over 70, figured it was marked wrong and took it to check out. Nope they do not honor the prices online unless you pay to join their club. Bestbuy does not make you join a club, Walmart doesn't, target doesn't, etc. If you ask me it is false advertising, but they dont care about customer service. Wont be back. read more

Our son purchased a preowned RV at the Camping World in Tyler and he has had nothing but problems. It should have been a clue to us when we got to the store for our 2:00 PM appointment and no-one had even spoken to us by 5:00 PM. At 5:00 PM a young man took us outside to do a walk through but he knew NOTHING as we were asking questions. He even said, "this is the first time I've done a walk through I'll have to go ask..." By 5:30 almost everyone had left the store and we hadn't even done our paperwork! They towed the RV to the park our son was going to be staying at and then proceeded to lock us out of the building! By 6:15 the finance lady came to a side door and said, "I didn't know where you had gone?" What? We had tried every door to get back in!!! After many false promises were made just to make the sale we left the store in the "Dark!" Our son did purchase the extended warranty because he wasn't sure what he might need during the process. We were "promised" that it would be fully refundable but after four months of jumping through hoops, we started the process of a refuns=d. That took about 2 1/2 months to get back! It is an absolute circus at that Campers World in Tyler, TX. I would NEVER recommend that location to anyone. BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more

Definitely disappointed with my experience today as a consistent consumer at this location seems they don't know a hospitable way to answer questions when asked especially Becky she just rushed with answers and it was a problem to even ask. The service department is absolutely a joke. We had to take our brand new motorhome in after a long road trip as NOTHING worked and SEVERAL things were broken after just a few hours on the road. We were promised it would be taken care of when we got back. Three months after being in the shop, 2 things were repaired (and turned out they weren't really repaired as they malfunctioned 24 hours after leaving the service department), and, they only attempted to repair those 2 things in three months, when we had a list of 17 things that needed addressed. The service department is unprofessional and does NOT call you back when they say they will. Even the supervisor, then manager, then manager's manager are supposed to call you, but they don't call either. DON"T buy ANYTHING from this place as they cannot repair the original abnormalities in a motorhome that are protected under warranty. What a disgrace and sad, sad promise they make when you purchase an RV, that they will take care of you and your RV, and will take care of any problems in the future. Total lies. read more

The worst place. General manager is a joke. Bought a fifth wheel in 2013. Power cord melted into frame twice. Was told by service we were lucky we did not burn up. Breaker did not pop. They changed it to a 50 amp breaker system. Happen again. After six months this unit was to unsafe. They said we could trade it back in but would only give us $18,000 trade in. We paid $29,900 for it. Not a smart move on by me we, bought a new 377 Georgetown motor home from them . A Complete FRIGGIN NIGHTMARE. Frame off two inches. They put airbags under it to fix it. The only problem they only put three in. Said thats all it needed.. When you turned right it hit the front right fender. They replaced it once and sent me a new in a crate in case it happen again. Was told last month the unit has black mold in it from the front to the back. Insurance totaled it out. We owed a additional $22,000 on it. We had bought a 7 years extended warranty with Gap insurance from them we requested as our insurance agent requested we do. Guess what, no Gap insurance. I will say a lot of this was when it was called Southern RV. Camping world has been not help what so ever read more

Bought RV March 2022. worst experience ever!! Nothing good came from this experience!! The RV was in the shop the most part of 3-4 mos. Bad communication and they will lie to you!! I f I could get my money back, we would gladly surrender the RV. paid $65,000 and bought the extended warranty. We are cancelling the warranty as we do not want them to ever work on the RV. last time we got back, a mysterious leak appeared in the gas line. could have been tragic had we not found it.... still has outstanding issues but will never take back to them. we saw a lot of people that were throwing fits and going off at the employees at camping world I presume for the same reason as us. We are trying to be patient but ran out of patients. Met some folks at a campground that had gone through a similar situation with us. Just please take my warning and take your business somewhere else unless you are up for a fight and want to get screwed!! sorry- not other way to describe. read more

This past week I tried to purchase an RV only to have the finance woman Maria LIE to the banks about my credit history. She misinformed them that I filed bankruptcy this year which I did NOT. The bankruptcy was 3 1/2 years ago November 2018. Then when confronted with this she LIES AGAIN saying she didn't say this year even though multiple witnesses heard her say that. Then she LIED again saying it got canceled out in 2019 which again it didn't it was November 2018. Crystal was also giving banks false information stating i live in Philadelphia which i DON'T i live in an entirely different city & state. And the woman who answers the calls at the desk is rude & refuses to give messages to people at the sales department & finance department. This business has been falsifying loan applications & lying to the banks on customers denying them when they should be approved. The amount I tried to finance was $2500 & got denied because Maria falsfied information to the banks stating dates that were NOT true read more

We traded in our 2019 Della Terra Travel trailer back in August for a 2006 Daemon Astoria Motorhome. First off, NOBODY ever checked the motor home out for defects or to make sure everything worked on it. At the time the onboard Generator ran but would not transfer power. We already had a trip planned for the following weekend so we were told to take it out, use it, and let them know if anything else needed to be done. We gave it back to them four days later and they had it for two weeks. All they did was replace the batteries..... which had NOTHING to do with the generator. We had another trip planned that couldn't cancel so we took it again without generator power and had to use a portable 10,000 Watt generator. We returned it back after another four days and they have now had it for two months with no ETA on when it will be fixed. This whole time they were talking about having to replace the whole generator and the interface when it turns out the only issue was a weak breaker. They are giving us an upgrade on the camera system for our "Troubles" but aside from that they don't care AT ALL. There is no communication and NO-ONE wants to assume responsibility for getting this taken care off. The Regional manger had to finally step in to take care of the issues and even he isn't really willing to make this right. We have now made our third payment on the motorhome and have only used it a total of 6 days. I had one other terrible experience with Camping World at another location....Shame on me for thinking this one was going to be any better. At this point we just want to give it back and get our downpayment and equity from our trade in back and get as far away from them as possible. read more

We bought a trailer here at Thanksgiving '18. The staff was in such a hurry to leave (it was almost closing time by the time they finished the paperwork) there were 5 men just throwing my belongings from my old trailer into the new one. We just spent 36,ooo , you would think someone could stay a little bit longer so we could move things properly. I had 2 stained glass pieces that were both broken. The second time we took the trailer out to Arkansas the faucet in the kitchen was leaking badly so we can't use the water. A brand new trailer!! We've been here a week with no water! We called to bring it in on our way home to Dallas and they said they don't have an opening until the 24th of April!! This trailer is just a few months old, and we want to be able to use it. My husband has terminal cancer and we bought this to spend time together before anything happens. Now it's going to be unusable for the month of April and however long it takes to fix the faucet. I guess April camping trip is canceled. read more

Too bad they do not have negative stars. The sales folks are not too bad. They do get the units sold. Service on the other hand is the worst I have seen. After much conversation with the store manager (Charles Tucker) we agreed that I would bring the camper in on 9/19 and they would begin work. I actually got it there on the 16th. A week and a half later it was still sitting in somewhere on the lot and had not been looked at. A few more calls, including one to corporate customer care, resulted in the unit moving into a bay at 3:00 on Wednesday, with the intention of installing a satellite system then looking at the issues. The store manager promised that all items would be fixed by Saturday. On Friday they call saying that they have determined they need some parts. They also stated that they needed warranty approval before they ordered the parts. They wasted almost 2 weeks before they decided that they needed parts. They could give me no time frame on when the parts would be available. One of the parts, a propane regulator is probably available at the RV dealer next door. To top it off, they do not return VM messages. Don't waste your breath. read more

Camping world in Tyler, TX has the worst service department in the United States. We have been dealing with them since 12/10/18 for an accident we had in our RV. They will not return phone calls about the process of repairs, but worst of all, they will not answer questions to my insurance company. They also promised to have my RV repaired by the end of February because I had reservations for Mardi Graws so I didn't cancel them. Needless to say I lost $300 on that deal. Just for a note, I have Good Sam insurance on my RV and trucks. Lot of good that did me. PLEASE STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS company for your own good. read more

I purchase a 2016 Lacrosse 33ft in May 2016. I signed papers for the Gap and all other papers they had me sign. When I was financed, the Gap was $898. This year in April, my Trailer was totaled by hail. We have been trying to settle with Gap and when we finally got all papers in waiting for the pay out of almost 8,000, they said, I signed a paper nd cancelled Gap. They refunded it to Camper World. In all the papers I signed, I was never told it was a cancellation. They had me sign it and they cancelled it after it was paid by the bank. The money went to camper world not me. This is a fraudulent way of getting $898. and They better pay the 8,000 owed by GAP because my attorney has been notified of this and ready for a class action suit. They figured on me not using GAP and that way they keep the money without anyone knowing. read more

Absolutely the worst costumer service. We bought our camper at the end of July and had the 90 days to bring it back to have things fixed for free. Well a brand new 2019 Coleman Lantern has several issues. Took it to them September 14, 2018 after calling and making an appointment to bring it and it sat there for 4 months without them touching it. I paid 4 months of payments and have not been able to use my camper?! Are you kidding me. On top of that DALEN told my husband that the leveling bubbles they put on would be free for the trouble that we've had getting the few things that needed fixed and then charge me for the leveling bubbles after waiting for 4 months? Are you kidding me? They should give me the money for the payments I paid without being able to use it. It sat there for no reason at all. We were told that by DALEN who said employees were let go because they weren't doing their jobs. So... tell me why I had to pay for those leveling bubbles again? Obviously the whole lot of employees at the Tyler camping world are incompetent and need to be fired. Last time I will ever do business there. Absolutely ridiculous. read more
