I normally don't write reviews, but my experience with Camping World's service department deserves to be documented.I purchased my Starcraft trailer from Camping World in August 2025. In mid‑May 2026, my Invision refrigerator failed, still under warranty. I immediately informed Camping World that I am an active‑duty service member with a PCS move in less than 30 days, and that timing mattered. Camping World diagnosed the fridge and confirmed it needed replacement. They submitted paperwork to Starcraft, then told me there was nothing they could do to expedite the process and that I, the customer, needed to call the manufacturer myself. When I called Starcraft, they told me they were waiting on additional information from Camping World, information Camping World never sent. Getting Camping World to answer the phone was nearly impossible. I called dozens of times with no response. I eventually had to physically drive to the dealership and only made progress after asking to speak directly with the General Manager.Starcraft ultimately expedited the refrigerator, but only because I forced Camping World to communicate with them. The fridge was installed on the last possible day before my PCS, and Camping World demanded a $1,500 deposit because they "hadn't had time" to file the warranty paperwork. For over a month afterward, I repeatedly called Camping World asking why reimbursement was taking so long. The service manager again told me that I needed to call Starcraft to move things along. When I called Starcraft, I learned the truth: Camping World did not follow the warranty process correctly. The refrigerator never needed full replacement, only a small component. The entire ordeal, including the rush, delays, and stress, was unnecessary. Starcraft also stated they were unsure why Camping World charged me $1,500 at all. Starcraft contacted Camping World, and the service manager told them that I rushed them and that I might not get reimbursed. Both statements were blatant lies. Only after contacting the GM directly, and going back and forth for several days, did Camping World finally issue my reimbursement check. This was 45+ days after the initial failure. This was the worst customer service experience I've had with any company. Camping World's service department was unresponsive, misleading, and unwilling to take responsibility for their own mistakes. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others avoid relying on Camping World for warranty service. read more

NEVER buy from these folks!!! They will lie straight to your face to make the sale. Then when you dont finance, treat you like crap. Used our 1 year old camper 2 times, first time water pump didnt work and there were some cosmetic issues we found like screws poking up through the floor and on the door trim. They didnt fix it but said they did after having our camper for 3 months. Took it out the weekend after we got it back and now one of the slides dont work. Previous work done under warranty. Took it back for slider to be repaired (which was fine when we took it in the first time) all of a sudden we have no warranty. Hmmm... Makes me wonder if your techs break shit on purpose then say there is no warranty so you have to pay out of pocket. I will never do business with this company again. Not even for a sewer line. It took 3 weeks to get it rt 2 1/2 hour ride one-way from our home Patrick ( GM )was very condescending,talking with him about the lack of work performed. Trying to communicate getting issues taken care was horrible , almost to a point of backing out of the deal. The walk through was done by a person who knew nothing about the unit . We decided to move from a class A motorhome back to a travel trailer, and identified the make and model we were looking for. While we live in California, we found one at Camping World Wheat Ridge. Doing a long-distance vehicle purchase is never easy, and it's more difficult when the vehicle is an RV as there are no Carfax reports and there are more things that can go wrong with a RV. From the start, Darin Ellis at Camping World Wheat Ridge was great to work with. He took pictures and videos and was very responsive to questions about the trailer and the logistics of getting it to us. He even responded to text messages on his day off. We also needed a new tow vehicle and found the one we wanted in Albuquerque. The Albuquerque dealer agreed to deliver the truck to Camping World, and Camping World agreed to take delivery of the truck and install a weight distributing hitch so it would be ready for me to fly in and drive them both home. So, the first time I saw the trailer (and truck) was when I flew into Denver to pick them up. There were no surprises on the trailer - it was in as good condition as was represented in the pictures and descriptions. Bought an RV in Jan and been trying to cancel GAP insurance since March not responsive or helpful. Had a broken toilet valve on our first outing and have a full protection policy so stopped at a camping world in Tucson to have it repaired and they couldn't get to it for two days and we were due in another city the next morning. Had to buy the valve and replace myself. If you are RV shopping I don't recommend Camping World as they do little to support you after the sale and protection packages are not what they advertise. read more

I took my rv in to camping world for some warranty work on July 11 2025 and did not get it back until Labor Day weekend it tooks them two months just to replace the landing gear and then why it was in the shop I asked them to put a satellite dish on the roof while they were doing that they cut my lights to the bathroom in the back of the coach. When i went to talk to them they denied they did that and would not repay me for service I had another company come and trouble shoot and fix the problem so if you want your rig to have problems all the time take it to camping world if not find some one else. I went in starting to shop for a Van or Class B. We were met by a green sales agent with not much experience. I was very forthright about what I was looking for. Mostly it was about the chassis and the engine. Not the packages from camping world. We even went to another store to "window shop". So, registered with two sales agents. I got to see a lot of emails of them "chasing the sale" in their own way. I ended up finding what I was looking for at a different lot. In Chattanooga, TN. We thought why not give it a shot. So, after the deal was done. I flew to Tennessee. Upon arriving, I made it known I was the new owner of the vehicle. They told me someone would drive it up. When I was handed the Key without them confirming me ID. I was confused. No walk through and the detail and tank wasn't filled. No one offered a solution but then I had to ask about it all. They told me they "thought I was a driver employed to take it to a new store". Not a customer. I called my sales agent as asked for some advice. She told me to take it off the lot. (I shouldn't have). Once bringing it to this store. I was advices to wait and work with the company under its time. Even though they knew I was planning on bringing it in on Saturday. On Saturday, I just drove in so they could see the state of what I received. All was offered on Monday was a walk through and a meeting about how and what when wrong. Well, I got in on Monday. It was very ignorant. I was met by a new manger who wasn't prepared. Making us "wait" because he "had" to finish payroll. The GM didn't greet us. But, ignored acknowledging my presence. While we waited 15 minutes for this manager. Needless to say. I'm neurodivergent and it was known at the start of this deal. The lack of communication was damning to the customer satisfaction. All I asked for was to be heard. Not abused to the function of "your" business. Well, this is where the GM didn't a cowardly game. Instead of apologizing. They placed him I "call" next to the sales agent office. Where she kept poking me. Not offering a solution until I was drained. Which was a "gift card" of an undisclosed amount. I was then escorted by the GM because he "didn't like the way I was talking". Yes, aggravated by there actions! My reactions have nothing to do with your ethics! Shame on this experience. Obviously, corners were cut by Camping World and they didn't care to do right by the customer. This includes the bed system not being properly checked or installed. Which fell during my trip back. (A $4,000 system). They gave me the vehicle as the last owner left it! Gas and all! And, I'm the problem as I am as suppose to already be packed and left. Yet forced to be delayed because of this! Do not buy a used RV from this location and do not trust Kevin as your sales associate. I'd like to start out with the good. James the tech was amazing! He wasn't the tech that did the inspection or repairs on the RV but he went out of his way to help us out during the walkthrough. He even made some quick repairs on the spot to fix the fridge. That guy deserves a raise. Jeremy in financing was super cool guy as well. He made the financial process very smooth and fast, and was incredibly friendly. He provided his info and offered to help me with Camping World resources back in California. These two are the only two that made the experience worth it. They should focus on hiring people more like them in their sales department. Now for the bad. I purchased a used 2018 Forest River motorhome. I flew in from California and told them I was driving the unit home with my family. They told me the vehicle would be inspected for safety, repairs would be performed, and the unit would be cleaned. I was forced to pay extra for this service. When we arrive the maintenance technician who performed the inspection and repairs would do a walk around of our unit. Conveniently the tech who did the original inspection and repairs was not in that day. We were lucky to have James step in to do our walk around. During the walk around I noticed the tires were dry rotting and were dated from 2017. The driver front tire was also completely bald on the inside tread. When I told Kevin about it he appeared unhappy and made it seem like I was inconveniencing him. He rolled his eyes, shook his head, and told me he would see what he could do. They offered me $750 off of the unit ($150/tire). I still assumed that the tires would be safe enough to drive it to a local tire shop because the unit went through an inspection. I was told by the service Manager that part of the inspection was verifying that the tires hold pressure. Well lo and behold Discount Tire notified me that both of the internal dually tires were completely flat and one was completely blown out. It's insane that they were about to let me drive half way across the country through windy mountains with a ONE year old child in the vehicle on blown out tires. Insane customer service. The inside of the RV was dirty, the black tank valve was left open (a fun experience when doing my first drain), the grey tank valve was broke so I couldn't drain my grey for the entire trip home, and driver door window rolls up off tract. I'm failing to believe they did any sort of inspection to begin with on this unit. When I originally inquired on purchasing the unit Kevin provided me all the details on the unit and ask if I would like to know anything specific about the unit. I asked how many hours were on the generator and how the roof looked. Kevin seeming inconvenienced over my questions. When Kevin told me the generator showed +7,000 hours on the unit, I asked him if he was sure that was right. He rudely told me he was correct. When I told him I wasn't sure if I wanted the unit after he became very rude and was insinuating that I was wasting his time. This led to both of us yelling at each other until I hung up the phone. Come to find out after the another sales associate verified the generator hours we found out the generator only had 700 hours and Kevin wasn't aware there was a decimal in the hour count. Kevin was man enough to apologize for his mistakes and we both agreed to work to go forward with the sale. I was also delayed 2 weeks on flying out to buy the unit because Kevin told me they were waiting for an exterior door to arrive that was needing to be replaced. After purchasing the unit I called the service manager about what door was replaced. He told me there was no door replaced and that they did minor repairs on one exterior door that would not latch. You just can't trust Kevin one bit. If you were buying a brand new unit and didn't have to worry about a shady used RV salesman, then buying from here wouldn't be a bad thing. read more

I had the fortunate opportunity to work with Andrew in the service department. As a first time RV owner and a few minor warranty items, I had a lot of questions. Andrew was clear with the procedure and what would be done. He took excellent notes of my concerns and assured each one would be addressed. Within the same day the RV was complete and I have nothing but good things to say. When I had a question Andrew reached out to his manager Joey to get the correct answer and didn't make something up. Went in there today to have some work done and they tell me I have to sign some paperwork before they start. First thing they said , they weren't responsible for anything that happens to my vehicle while on there property. I asked so if you scratch my truck you guys aren't responsible and they said they are not responsible. I called another Rv dealer to schedule an appointment for what I needed and they said it would only take a hour of labor. Camping worlds was going to charge me for 3 hours of labor for the same thing. Every camping world that I have been to across the US has tried to screw me one way or another. Not a real good experience. salesperson was initially helpful but lacked in preparation. We set up the appointment 3 days ahead of time and had already finished negotiations on a price. We also indicated that if the vehicle was satisfactory, we would buy it. We drove 2 and a half hours to Wheat Ridge prepared to buy the vehicle and were ready to do the paperwork. When shown the vehicle it would not start and had to be jump started. Going through the vehicle we found numerous items that were broken and needed repair, to include the automatic step. Under the hood were pieces of the hood lining and the beginnings of a nest critters had started. The vehicle had never been cleaned. When queried about this the response was " we leave the vehicles as they were when we got them so the customer can see how well they were taken care of by previous owners ". We encountered that attitude at the Longmont facility also. Because of this attitude and the fact the vehicle was not in a condition to be sold, we decided to not buy it and look elsewhere. I worked in car sales for a time and when a vehicle came on to the lot it received an inspection, maintenance if needed and cleaning. That way if someone came in and decided to buy it, the vehicle was ready to leave the lot that day. After sending this response to a query as to how our visit was, we received this reply from a sales manager " We definitely strive on trying hard to make sure our units are presentable and our sales team has VIP appointments ready to go and pulled up for you to see. Ill definitely speak with **** about the notes, however he is correct about the detailing. If the unit isnt ready to show and is in absolute no condition to sell, we try to get that taken care of first. However, we do not always do a full detail because we aren't sure how long the unit will sit on the lot and cannot do 2 full details. I understand the frustration. " It appears that negotiating on a vehicle, reaching an amicable price, setting up an appointment for 3 days later (which would give them time to prep a vehicle) for a final viewing before the final decision to purchase and driving 2 and a half hours to see the vehicle before final paperwork, did not qualify as a VIP appointment and justify the vehicle being prepared for purchase. Camping World really needs to assess this line of thinking because my experience has shown that people interested in purchasing a vehicle usually want to do so that day and want to see what the vehicle would be like when they receive it, not how the previous owners left it. read more

Overall a very pleasant experience, don't get me wrong they used all the good old fashioned sales techniques but in a way that didn't make me feel dirty when we left. Also, let's be honest if you're buying a used camper it's the same process as buying a used car so they have to make some money and you both try to walk away feeling like you won the deal. Save yourself time, a headache and money by going elsewhere. We had hail damage on our camper back in March. We bought the camper here and their warranty package and although it wasn't the best experience, we decided to try the service department. Over the past 6 months, we have brought the camper back and forth FIVE times because we had trips planned with our new camper throughout the summer. (we also live two hours away.) We're always told they will be able to work on it and to bring it in. Each time they've had our camper, NOTHING has been done when we go to pick it up. It sits in their parking lot for weeks on end. Over this time period, we had two warranty items pop up as well. (broken fridge and ac drainage issue.) They "fixed" these issues by a) scratching our floor and trim while putting in a new fridge (which they couldn't figure out how to fix) and b) drilling holes in the ac sealant for drainage (which was the incorrect way to fix the issue, it should drain out the sealant but rather the holes in the unit.) We asked several times for the cost and got "labor hours" only, never a dollar amount so today we received a surprise phone call with our new balance. Astronomical and *thousands* more than we anticipated. We would have most certainly went elsewhere to get quotes had we known. We assumed labors hours were possibly $100/hr, as they straight up told us they didn't know labor hour cost at one point. The labor costs are much higher, they just charge whatever they want at the end. The hail damage has been fixed after several months (mostly), one out of two vents have been replaced. We finally just replaced the second vent ourselves to avoid leakage and yet more damage. We asked several times for both vents to be replaced as both were damaged by hail. They also didn't know how to put the decal stickers back on the camper and asked us to come in yet again. We declined as this is a 4 hour round trip for a couple of decals and we have made this trip entirely too many times. Hoping someone reads this and doesn't have to deal with the nightmare we've had to. We will perhaps try another camping world for warranty issues but otherwise we will find another place for future items. read more

My experience with them as Ketelson was amazing and I recommended them to everyone. Now as Gandy, it looks like the salesman we had is gone. He used to go out of his way to greet us whenever we came to the showroom but this time, he didn't show. I wandered around the parts area for almost 20 minutes looking completely lost (I was lost) before anyone said anything to me. And now that I found out it is owned by Camping World, I will never go back. This makes 2x that I was treated poorly by CW. Never again because I will not be coming back. 2 stars because once someone asked, they knew exactly what I needed. EDIT ADDED TO ADDRESS RESPONSE: You're not fooling me with the new customer service email today, camping world. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. Update: After sending an email complaining to the CEO of the company i was given a satisfactory response. I am glad to see that the stores will follow what there CEO believes. Bait and switch at it's finest. Said they took a trailer on trade-in, said the previous owners were meticulous and kept it like new, and upgraded a couple things, put a deposit down. When trailer came in they called me it was everything i expected and more, made a deal on trailer they said they could not close the deal till Friday, Thursday morning they called said they had showed me the wrong trailer and i could come look at the right trailer, and they would not sell me the other trailer because we did not have a contract, when i went down the other trailer was filthy, had scratches and was bone stock, not at all how they explained it, i said if they fixed everything i would possibly buy it, the managers response was they would not replace it if there was something wrong with it cause the contract was purchased "as is" so do we have a contract? if so I want the 2021 The CEO of the company is famous for saying my word is my bond, a verbal contract is as good as a written one, too bad there stores do not follow his thought process. read more

First off my salesman was great Troy helped me and my family out on getting a new trailer and helped swap personal items from my trade in into my new i high recommend him if you end up going here. Troy Gets a 5 star. There were some issues on a snowy day when I showed up to get my new trailer but they got resolved. But. I drove trailer 20 miles to my home and 5 big issues already appeared from the drive. I contacted gander and they didn't care. I wanted sone clarification from my Warrenty and tried to get ahold of the finance guy who sold it to me about 12 times now 4 voicemails and a month later and still no reply. Once he got my check I'm a nobody. Service hasn't rushed to help get replacement parts or updates on if and when they can get parts. They want my to drop it off for however long it takes to get parts in and do fixes. That's not possible for I live in it for work. They know that and still say they don't have anything they can do for me unless I leave it with them. For spending 85k on a trailer you'd think the dealership who sold it to you would be a little more helpful on making it right when 5 things broke within the first 24 hours Rear blind fell on my wife while sitting on couch Bathtub leaked onto the bathroom floor cause the door wasn't caulked Three pieces of trim fell off The service techs who dewinterized didn't leave the water heater plug couldn't use water until I bought one Same with Fresh water tank And somehow the kitchen sink had a piece of plastic stuck in it so my sink didn't work until it was removed at my experience of another company since camping world/ gander doesn't have mobile techs. I called Gander, explained my emergency, got a guy on the phone and he explained my problem to me in 30 seconds, fixed it totally. They could've easily said they were too busy. But they cooperated.
