In the week preceding the stay, while at a VA Hospital, my physician conveyed to me that members of her daughter's hiking club had contracted scabies at the Inn earlier this past summer. When I got home from the medical center on October 9th, I immediately contacted the motel by phone to cancel the reservation. The staff person informed me that my request for a refund would be processed, and I would get a follow-up call after it had been processed. After 12 days and no call, I again contacted the motel. I was told that management had left for the day and that I would need to call back between 7 am and 3 pm the following day, Saturday, the 25th. I called back the following morning and was told that I would have to call back on Monday morning. I demanded that the manager call me back on Monday morning. The staff person told me she would leave a note with my comments for the manager. It is Monday at 5 pm, and I have received NO phone call. Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, I will submit a complaint to the office of the Kentucky Attorney General. I am tired of the motel manager's evasion tactics. I strongly encourage travelers to stay clear of the Red River Gorge Inn located in Campton, Kentucky.

I've been here several times, sometimes for just a day, and a few times camping nearby. You can take the sky lift up to the natural bridge, or you can hike up. There is a short trail (1/3 of a mile) that leads to a nice overlook where you can view the natural bridge from a distance. There are birds and wildlife to observe. And it is nice to visit in different seasons. There are good restaurants and touristy places to shop in the area too.

Check in took less than a minute and we were in our sparkling clean room another minute later. The bed was so comfortable. In the morning, another smiling face greeted us warmly in the lobby. (Sorry, I forgot to ask her name!) The included breakfast was well above average and also super clean. Jennifer kept things stocked, never stopped cleaning, answered questions, and was yet another positive and friendly staff member. I don't know who hires the employees here, but they have a real knack for finding gems! Overall, this experience far exceeded expectations. He said he can't give any discounts and the rate is $199. That's crazy to me. I was checking in at midnight. I also signed up for Igh rewards but they said since i didn't sign up prior to my stay i can't get credit for the stay. If you stay here, ask for a room that is on the front of the hotel since I think that would be much more quieter. I booked my reservation on Hotels.com and redeemed one of my reward nights and paid less than $5 in tax and fees to say here for the night. Upon check-in I provided my credit card for any incidentals. Upon check-out I was told I was good to go since I've already prepaid. I get home and look at my credit card statement to see I was charged a full night instead of the incidental charge. I called the hotel and was told a new employee made a mistake and would reverse the charge. That's fine, mistakes happen but it's now been a month and the charge still hasn't been reversed. 2 stars because of loudness and poor customer service regarding my credit card statement.

The safe is not bolted into anything just loose in the closet asked the front desk about and she stated that they do not bolt them to anything and anyone can take it. The soap holder is knee level in which I hit my knee twice. Reported to Shana Reported the breakfast the milk was rotten the spread was not your typical Hilton breakfast no fresh fruits. The variety was very disappointing. The lobby looks depressing not an inviting space. Was told that rooms are serviced everyday due to security don't as I have meds in the room. Called the front desk many times and busy Shannon's explanation is that when not on the front desk the portable doesn't work. Food flys in the room. Bathroom pretty dirty. The lamps full of dust and even webs.
